Captain Bluemane the Fierce had many reputations that preceded her across the seas. She was quick, merciless, brutal, sultry, and a host of many other adjectives - at least, as far as any who listened to the tales could possibly know.

However, she had some characteristics that weren't as widely known. For example, she was quite the heavy sleeper. When the gentle rocking of the ship lulled her into a deep sleep, she found that even the roughest of waters and the loudest of sailors could not easily wake her.

As a general rule, this wasn't a problem. Her normal crew was one that she would trust with her life anyway, after all. However, this crew was anything but trustworthy. It was a ragtag group of people brought together by circumstance.

Hence, she managed to sleep lightly this night, and when morning came, she was awoken by shouting and a loud commotion. That was good. A commotion meant an opportunity for mutiny, and that meant she was one step closer to commandeering the famous 'Chaos Demon.'

Soon she could forsake this role of crewman and become a proper Captain once more.

To her surprise, when she reached the deck to investigate the cause of commotion and find a way to turn it against the current 'Captain,' she found that there was no need. There was a body, and it belonged to the fair captain.

The deck was a chaotic mess of arguments and infighting, and that was glorious, but if she was going to commandeer the ship and return to her pirating ways, the situation would have to be dealt with. Werewolves were quite bad for business, even for pirates.

As the commotion continued, Bluemane stuck to the back of the crowd. While becoming the Captain of this fine vessel was certainly her long-term goal, it wasn't a title that she envied at that very moment as she watched the hardly-cold corpse of the old Captain. She would lay low for a bit, pitch in where she could, and hopefully walk away from this voyage as the master of the ship.

So, Werewolf expert are you going to be responsible for our win today?
If we are on the same team, of course. And if we aren't on the same team, I'll make sure my team wins.
This last sentence was accompanied by an ironic smile from Astrid. She wanted to win. Even if she and her Durmstrang brother are not in the same team. She knew her role. Charles knew his. They would have to wait until nightfall to see if they were on the same team.
Astrid usually played Werewolf with her family or friends in a living room or sitting outside. The place was not necessarily related to the game. But here, they were on a boat that had a history. Except if it was a reproduction. Anyway, the Demon Chaos was a big pirate ship. And Astrid thought it was great to play a game of Werewolf on it.
—————————
Oh shit! This looks real. Is he like, really dead? It could be a spell or something.
Astrid was quite close to the body. And she was pretty sure it had been bewitched to appear dead. We were at a summer camp for students from several magic schools after all. They couldn't kill people like that. And students killed by wolves couldn't really die. It was a pretty radical Werewolf game.
The death of the captain seemed to have upset everyone present. But the most affected seemed to be Piérre Marchonné, Romeo's cousin. Even if she had to be respectful after the death of the captain, Astrid found it difficult not to laugh at Piérre's attitude. He was very dramatic. And it was very funny to see.
Is it required to choose an character or did he volunteer to act as an child?
No, you don't need to create a weird character who acts too dramatically. But you have to admit that it's funny to see.
Charles was afraid. Astrid could see it very well. While she took all this lightly, knowing very well that she could not really die and that all this was in the scenario, he doubted it and was afraid of what could happen to him. Astrid rolled her eyes at his naivety. The organisers would not voluntarily put the lives of young wizards in danger.
Want to create characters that have relations with each other as we wait?
If you want, but you know that you can't really die. In the worst case, we'll be bewitched to look dead.

When Florian joined the group, he of course firstly surveyed those around him. Were there any students he knew? If so, it would certainly be good to make alliances. Alas, the only one to catch his eye was the boy from the prior ball's Flying Torch Tag, in which the two had made a splendid show of taking out each others flags, both then loosing the game. The boy smiled at Florian, perhaps a bit too smugly for his liking, but Florian would return the favor, adding a wink, just for sass.

And with that, everyone slept. With a name like 'The Chaos Demon,' it should be expected that after only one night, chaos would reign. This evening, it was in the form of their captains death. Poor chap, he was clearly holding the whole ship together, and now there was doubt cast upon everyone. 'Who did it,' was the question running across everyone's mind, and Florian was just the same. The only reasonable thing left to do now would be to vote for a captain.

Problem was, Florian didn't really know anyone. He could perhaps vote for that smug boy from Flying Torch Tag, but wouldn't he rather have someone on his side, or perhaps someone who would have no reason to question him? If he could vote for himself, his answer would be set in stone. Alas, he surveyed those around him, and cast his vote.

Roleplaying as Akira Shimizu from Mahoutokoro
The Flying Torch Tag boy returned his grin with a smug smile of his own, and topped it off with a wink. Really, who did he think he was, trying to be sassy with him? Resolving that he had been polite enough already with his greeting (despite its smugness), Akira chose to ignore the boy and turned back to who he was talking with.

A tall, blond boy approached and introduced himself as Charles Alluring from Durmstrang, quidditch player. Akira dipped his head in greeting. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Alluring. I'm Akira Shimizu from Mahoutokoro; feel free to call me Shimizu," he responded, just as a girl with silver-blond hair approached. "And yes, I'm on the dueling team. Too bad we won't get a chance to compete against one another," he allowed a small, rueful smile. He considered Charles' question about who would likely break first, and he thought for a moment, but the girl spoke first.

"Of course, if you're the Werewolf expert, I wouldn't expect you to break at all, Miss Olsen, even if you were a werewolf," he allowed himself a grin in response to her confidence. "Seems like we should all watch out for you, or rely on you to help us find the murderers."

His thoughts were interrupted by a loud shout from some boy, as the boy rushed to the body of a 'dead captain'. Akira could only stare. Was the boy really taking this very seriously? Or was he simply putting on a show to feign 'innocence' so he wouldn't be suspected as a murderer? "I don't know," he said in response to Charles. "Do you think he's just trying to act like he didn't kill the captain?" he asked with suspicion. Or maybe it was natural to act this way in a game of Mutiny? In that case, Akira didn't want to stick out. Perhaps he should take on a character, like Charles suggested, as unappealing as it seemed. He didn't really like to play pretend, after all.

"Well, if we have to," Akira began. "I can be your... brother, and maybe we can all be siblings," he finished. Perhaps it was good to have some in-character allies in this game. With that, he approached the body of the 'dead captain' warily. "Oh, no." He said this plainly and monotonously as he adopted the persona of his 'surprised' character to the best of his ability, but frankly, he was as stiff as a board and completely expressionless. He was an atrocious actor and not a player of make-believe. "The Captain has died. That is so very sad and unexpected. Who will be our new Captain, now?" He tried his best to sound frantic, as he expected his character would be. But he was completely straight-faced, no matter how hard he tried. Really, this was the best our usually-uptight and expressionless boy could do.

Emma looked surprised when her name was called. She sort of recognized them especially once they mentioned a game, and waved. "Hello! Glad to see you. Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. It'll be nice getting to play instead of keeping track of everything. Have you heard of this type of thing before?" She didn't know their name but wasn't sure how to go about asking without feeling like she was being rude. So instead, she just kept on talking as if that would help things.

It seemed that her plan to be out of the way was backfiring on her slightly. But still, her parents would be proud, and she didn't feel nearly as awkward as she had when she was only a first year, maybe she was growing and getting better at this whole peopling thing. Emma grinned, and then blushed as a boy kissed her hand. She had no idea that was a thing outside of books. Pulling her head forward slightly to let her hair cover her cheeks, Emma nodded, saying "Of course! Feel free. I'm Emma Wynn by the way, Hufflepuff. It's nice to meet you Charles." Emma added as she looked between the two boys.

She was grateful when Charles took up the mantle. "I'll be interested to see what it's like. I read a bit but I'm not sure I quite get it. I guess it'll definitely test the people reading skills. I hope I'm not the wolf, I'm awful at misleading. " Emma looked out at the gathering crowd, trying to recognize some features, but honestly she wasn't comfortable when first meeting people plus the addition of other schools, and it felt like she knew nobody here. Or at least a very minimal amount. That was likely to be a detriment to her playing.

Emma's eyes widened as another person joined their small group. It seemed that either of the two boys were somewhat popular, although honestly she shouldn't think that four people made for a popular group. It was just she never usually was part of these types of huddles. "Hi Astrid, I'm Emma. It sounds like you obviously know what you're doing. Any tips to stay in the game?"

Emma nodded at Charles' question then shook her head. "Can I be sort of on a team? Technically I'm on the dueling team but I just joined so I haven't actually had a chance to duel yet."

Emma was second-hand embarrassed when a boy seemed to take things very seriously and get right into it. She wasn't sure that she could do the same, but still she should try her best. If only Sophia were around, and that might make it easier. Emma just raised her shoulders at Charles question, then asked one of her own. "Is that an actual dead body or is it fake? And how do we decide characters?" Emma was really clueless at this point and looking to someone to give her some kind of direction.

Emma grinned at Charles question. "Sure, sounds like fun. Ohhhhh, could I be the slightly odd aunt? That just seems like an interesting role." Blushing, she chewed on her lip. "I mean if you didn't already have any ideas."

She paused as Pax stepped up, getting their attention, but she just stayed where she was, listening carefully, having already made her mind up about her vote.

Emma nodded at Akira's suggestion about being siblings, and grinned slightly they began to act, staying back from the surprisingly lifelike dead body.

Night quickly turned to morning and with that came a scream. That shocked Vivienne, making her jump to her senses and making her way over to see what the commotion was. A gasp came out of her throat, her hand moving to cover her mouth in shock as she saw what exactly was causing this distress. A dead body. The Captain's dead body. That was never a good sign. A murderer was loose on the ship! What were the meant to do? They were now leaderless and had no one to turn to.

Vivienne's gaze went to someone who stood on a crate to garner everyone's attention. She nodded along to what they were saying, they did have a point. They definitely needed to vote on a new leader. The only problem was that Vivienne didn't actually know any of the people onboard enough that she could put her trust in them to protect her from this mysterious murderer that was on the loose. She chose to survey everyone on board, deciding to pick a random person so at least she would have a vote down and she could hope she didn't make a terrible decision. After she looked at everyone on board, she finally came to a decision on who she would vote for.

Honestly, it wasn't very surprising that chaos had happened on a ship named the Chaos Demon. The captain was already dead, but as that person on the crate had said previously, Vivienne had an inkling that he wasn't going to be the last one dead on this cursed ship.

EmmaLee speaks with a light French accent.

EmmaLee was jolted awake by the scream and fell out of her seat with a thump. "Mon deiu. C'est juste un jeu. Pas besoin d'être si bruyant." My god. It's just a game. No need to be so loud. She grumbled, standing up and dusting off her skirt. Apparently she had legitimately fallen asleep for a moment there.

As she walked over, she took notice of the entire group of players. It really was quite the group. It seemed that students from every school were interested in playing and some of them seemed to have created characters to roleplay as. Such as the boy who had yelled in the first place. As she crouched down with her heels flat to look at the Captain's body, she wondered if she should create a character or just remain as she was.

She looked at the prop from a few different angles, turning her head this way and that. Then crossed her arms over her knees to balance herself and quell the urge to touch the body. It was a very realistic body with very realistic gashes all over it. She was rather impressed at the workmanship. It almost made one think that this wasn't a game, but there is no way that a summer camp would put them in any real danger.

"This very much looks like a werewolf attack." EmmaLee said to no one in particular. She had just decided to go along with the majority of the group and roleplay along with them. It would make the game that much more entertaining and interesting. "It would seem that we have at least one werewolf on board and it clearly isn't taking it's medicine." She continued, standing up and dusting nothing off of her hands. She looked around and tried to see if anyone looked nervous or like they were hiding something. Sometimes with this game, you could pick out a few of the uncomfortable wolves right off the bat, but everyone seemed to be either genuinely concerned about the body, or just figuring out how they wanted to play this game.

EmmaLee did notice, though, that a small group had formed and seemed to be forming an alliance. Although, it seemed like that alliance was based more on familiarity than any of them knowing who was a wolf or not yet. She crossed one arm over her waist, put her other elbow on that arm, and her knuckle to her mouth in thought.

~What can I do our say to draw someone out? I never liked just randomly accusing people like K. But maybe that's why I always lose.~ She thought, closing her eyes again to try and think of her own strategy here.

The first night was the hardest, it is always tough in a new sleeping situation, not to mention the fear that had plagued Moni up until this point. Unfortunately for her, she had to leave her father behind, there was no way, in his current condition, would he be able to make the trip over seas.
Moni kept her mouth shut, eyes off of anyone else. She tried to remain as small as possible, and cause little to no attention to herself. And thus far it seemed she had been going about unseen.

Then came the morning.

It was a scream that awoke her, awoke everyone who still lay in their slumbers. There was a rush to the deck, where talk was already taking place over the death of the captain. What was to happen now?
She shielded her eyes, not wanting to see, but also, gazed around. Some one on this ship was a killer.... No longer was this voyage a passage from danger, it had all together become dangerous.

Once everyone was able to calm down, there was an agreement to find another 'captain', and the consensus was to take a vote for someone who was on the ship. Moni looked around, how could she trust anyone? But there was one she did, a familiar face to her. Not a old friend or family member, but someone she recognized. She cast her vote in that direction.... better to go with some familiarity, than none at all..... right?

Hunter crouched at the dead body of the captain but kept an overall distance due to both curiosity and fear. He was curious as to what was the cause of the previous captain's passing, but he was afraid for his assumptions to be confirmed. As the morning sun rose and shined across the many innocent and guilty faces residing on the chaos demon, Hunter could do nothing but wonder. Little clues and a lot of panicking were already commencing. It took time, but eventually, everyone would appear to at least be calmed down. Yet, Hunter knew everyone was far from calm.

He himself daydreamed, lost in thought. He needed to vote for a captain and he knew he wasn't going to be voted for. He smiled at that thought as he preferred not having a leading role in which others relied on him. Hunter was a sort who preferred to be left to his own devices, perhaps assisting whenever required. Yet, he looked around and thought that perhaps he should act as the puppeteer on the boat. To be the one to pull the strings, manipulate, or place self-doubt in the many individuals on the boat. Hunter will survive, despite the sacrifices and chaos he may need to inflict. His eyes had already set on the perfect individual fit for the job.

Sailing the high seas was always a fun experience. She'd traveled mamy times, but always with friends and family. People she could trust. But it seemed this adventure was to be different. Very different. The mind of different that entailed murder!

Beatrice didn't know how to react the morning after boarding when she found out that the captain of the ship had been killed. How was this safe? Shouldn't people be checked before coming aboard?! Panic started to cloud her mind, the dramatic scenes of muggle tv shows overriding her brain. Get a grip Bea! The captain couldn't have been murdered! Perhaps the captain had only passed away gentely in his sleep. But one look from the crew said otherwise.

Bea looked to the group of passengers being rounded up with her on the deck. Maybe it was to be like cluedo, them all solving the mystery of who did it, in which room and with what instrument? She quite liked murder mysteries! It seeemed from the hush hush whispers going around that the rag tag of passengers would need a leader, someone to be their voice to the crew, who looked more and more suspicously at the newcomers as time went by. Bea bit her lip. She wasn't quite sure who to pick. She wasn't overly familiar with anyone on board, except for the girl she'd seen near her cabin. Monica. Singing eenie-meenie-minie-mo to herself, she picked and cast her vote.
