Mutiny
The Chaos Demon. It was a rather large pirate ship that had been built by a very talented shipwright, who had turned into a pirate after losing his job, just because he'd upset the wrong kind of people. As a result, he'd turned his talents elsewhere and built the best pirate ship ever made in this day and age. It was more sturdy and had more fun little gadgets and mysteries on the ship than any other before its time. Hell, it could even withstand average cannonballs. Strikes that would make a normal ship go away with holes that would be difficult to fix, would only dent the Chaos Demon. Or give it minor inconveniences. The Chaos Demon developed quite an impressive reputation in the world.
Soon after it's creation it became known everywhere.
Directly after the Chaos Demon docked at an extremely tiny village, various people sought out the crew and captain to barter for permission to sail off with them away from this village island. Since the Chaos Demon was the only ship that had docked that day, and no other ships were scheduled to come, it was their only choice. Despite it's reputation, these people appeared to be desperate to leave that day, which is why they seemed willing to risk going on the pirate ship of all ships. After some bartering, the Chaos Demon sailed off into the ocean with its new passengers on board. Most had bargained/bought their way on and some may have tried to sneak on board as it was leaving port. And off the ship went.
Reminders:
The game is set in a night and day cycle in the 'play' IC.
Mod posts will be posted once every 5 days OOC. But it will only be one day IC.
You have until the end of Friday, August 5th OOC to post your entrance/arrival post for activity check.
IC this takes place all on the first day.
Once the activity check is done (entrance/arrival posts), I will send out a group owl with your roles and will then post the first mod post.

Please post your entrance post below.
Next mod post will have you all vote for a Leader, which will be decided by you guys.
But if you would like to place your vote in your entrance post ahead of time that's fine too. The purpose of this first post is to see how many people will actually show up for this game. Since it's been awhile since people signed up for this game and as the game depends upon members being consistently active (aka posting at least once per week), I want to make sure the members for Game 1 will show up before assigning roles..

ReducioEssentially, I made a mistake and when copying the set-out code from this post, I wrote my post on 'edit post' and then posted it without realising. After screaming internally for about 5 minutes and checking with staff to see if I could get it back, I found I couldn't so I've had to rewrite it to the best of my abilities. Sorry!
Pax stepped on board, ready for what was to come. Chaos pumped through their veins, and given the name of the ship, it seemed appropriate. They had a feeling that, even though they didn't really know many of the players, the game would commence and be a chaotic mess of lies and deception. However, that was the fun of a game like this.
They took a look around the ship, admiring the complex set-up that they guessed would've taken ages to construct. It looked so well thought out and put together, so credit to Kim for organising. They made a mental note to compliment him on his work when they returned to the tent.
While they walked, they considered carefully who to vote for, weighing up who they knew was also going to be here. They wanted to give those who were quieter more chance to speak up and be vocal in this game. After all, they knew they would be, so they didn't want certain individuals to get drowned out by any louder players, themself included in the latter.
After some careful consideration, they placed a vote for Sophia. They were usually on the quieter side, but their input could be valuable in a game like this.Vote: Sophia Nelson

Sophia Maria Nelson was dead.
Oh, sure, she'd gone by that name years ago, but she'd abandoned that name when she'd taken up piracy for a living. After all, no one was intimidated by a short Catholic girl named Sophia. So she'd taken a new name, a new persona even.
Hence, Captain Bluemane the Fierce was born. No longer was she held back by the Catholic compassion she'd been saddled with at birth. No longer was she a weak, sheltered child. No, now she was a strong, sultry scoundrel known across the seas for her ruthless, thieving nature. There was but one setback.
Her ship, the Raven's Claw, had capsized mere nights ago. As all of her treasure sunk to the bottom of the icy sea, Bluemane was left alone and penniless. She did the only thing she could do in the moment. She raised her tankard of grog and headed for the nearest port town, seeking a new ship to 'commandeer.'
Unfortunately for her, the ship she wound up on was known as the 'Chaos Demon,' and it was well known to be cursed.
Oh well. For now, she was but a faceless member of the crew, and she would serve them well until the time came that she could take control of this new ship, cursed or not, once and for all.
She brandished her rapier and gave it a flourishing twirl. It was mostly for visual effect, given that the rapier was a thrusting weapon, but it looked cool, and that was what mattered. She rested the blade upon the deck and eyed the rest of the crew warily. There was work to be done.

It wasn't the first time Aurelia played a game similar to this in previous summer camps. But another explanation on the rules and how to play would do some good to refresh her memory. This camp, Aurelia wasn't really interested in many of the games. The spin the bottle definitely was not her cup of tea, or it seemed. Kissing a stranger was not above her if she were still single, but now, she had a boyfriend... and a betrothed, she had more than enough on her hands. The only other game she signed up for was the triathlon that was only taking place nearing the end of the summer camp. It was definitely something she was looking forward to.
Aurelia arrived, her shoes clipping against the wooden floorboards. She would take a seat down in the circle, she waited for instructions. Glancing around, she would place a vote for the leader. Xailah Alptraum, perhaps the only person she knew around here, aside from her tentmate and fellow Gryffindor, Pierre. Patiently, she waited for the roles to be assigned. If anything, this game required some strategy and Aurelia was always one for a good strategy if her duels were anything.

Embarking aboard the Chaos Demon, Monica found herself stand on the edge of the ship, taking note of those who have already arrived.
To her own surprise, there wasn't a pit in her stomach, or nerves shooting through her veins. Monica was actually relatively calm. Perhaps it was due to the various Roleplaying games her father hosted at home while she was growing up? Or maybe it was arriving with good company? Discovering her tent mate, Beatrice and herself, were in the same group, it just made sense to travel to the activity together.
Well whatever the reason, she was here, and ready.
She had played a similar game to this back home, one referred to as mafia, though the thought of having a walk through of this game was a welcomed notion. Often times she had gotten far into those roles, and though this games seemed like the same avenue, it was better to not assume how things were going to go, or what rules would be in place.
There was a lull on deck, while people were arriving, people casting their votes for who they think should be the leader. Of course you could not vote for yourself, so Monica had to come up with who she deemed worthy to be said leader.
There was no one that really jumped out at her for an obvious choice, that isn't to say that there weren't any, but there were none that Monica had the chance to know enough about to make a fair call. Given the predicimant, and in keep things fair, she opted to make her choice based on chance, resorting to enie-menie. Taking her finger, she began to recite the rhyme, while her finger jumped from one name to the other on every word,
"Enie-menie-minie-moe,
Catch a tiger by the toe.
If he hollers,
Let him go!
Enie-menie-minie-moe!"
Seems fate had made it's choice, looking at who she had landed on, it was none other than her arrival buddy, Beatrice Langstreth.
Satisfied, Monica wrote down her vote, and cast it to the head of this event.
Taking to her own thoughts, there-after, contemplating what her angle should be during the game.
Passivity would not lend well, no contribution, or far too little known or heard from about you was a huge red flag, and easy targets. On the other hand, over speaking could result in a similar fate. There was a fine balance with these sorts of games, a social aspect if you will. And a vast majority of that depends on the type of group this is.
Best choice, or the only thing she could really do at the current moment, is to wait till roles were assigned, and adapt as the game progressed.
Wont be long now.

EmmaLee rubbed her eyes and yawned as she walked up onto the deck of the ship that would be the stage for their Mutiny game. She was excited for this game, but had found it hard to sleep last night and therefore stayed up all night instead. She very much hoped that she still had the wits for this game. It was the kind of game that needed a certain strategy to pull off and depending what kind of role she ended up with, she would have to do a lot of coming up with convincing arguments on the spot. She was rather good at that when she had gotten a good night's sleep, not so much when she had not.
As she approached the circle of people she looked over at the list of participants and noticed that they were to chose a leader of sorts to decide on ties. There was not a single person on this list that she already knew so her personal opinion on a good leader was probably moot. She decided to go about it randomly and therefore closed her eyes and placed a finger somewhere in the upper middle of the list. Xailah Alptraum. That seemed like a good name for a leader. Sure. She wrote down her vote, gave it to the moderator of the game, and found a seat within the circle.
As she understood the rules already, she had played a game similar to this in New York called Werewolf. She imagined that it had varying different names depending on the setting for it. Obviously this one was pirate themed.
Werewolf was her friend Kiernan's favorite game and he would host little parties in the garden of their condo complex to play it with the other children, as a game of four was kind of pitiful. EmmaLee liked the game, but definitely had mixed success at winning. It seemed to be K's main goal to get her killed in the most ridiculous ways possible. She chuckled a little to herself as she remembered when he had gotten her killed by convincing everyone that drinking water at a party was suspicious and therefore, she must be a werewolf. He had gotten everyone excited enough that they did vote her out, much to their dismay later when they found out that she had a special role.
Once she had sat down, she closed her eyes to rest them a little while she waited for the other players to show up.

Hunter walked upon the hollow wood of the "Chaos Demon" quietly wondering to himself who exactly he was supposed to entrust during this entire event. He took note of each person arriving, some familiar, and the majority a mystery. Cautious and meticulous, he didn't dare introduce himself due to a mixture of fear from the growing crowd of people and a fear of who to trust. The game itself sounded fun, and the aesthetics of the whole ship were rather hypnotic, to say the least.
Hunter unfortunately was never given many chances to play games with children his age before coming to Hogwarts. There were very few if any where his parents lived, and the only time he really got to play with others were during short visits to his grandmother's village back in Africa. Nonetheless, he at least wanted to participate in some games and make the most out of his trip during the summer camp. He leaned near the edges of the ship, reading a book a bit on the history and culture that pirates held when they ruled the oceans. Of course, Hunter was more focused on the medical side of history, but the bigger question was why he seemed so relaxed when he probably had no one to trust. It was a game of mistrust, deception, and secrets. All of these factors were things that Hunter assumed and faced every day. This didn't mean he felt he was going to win, but he certainly felt like he'd have an idea of who to be the wariest of.
Whether he was bound to be alone or not didn't matter, he always prepared and expected the worst-case scenarios. As he read, he began to wonder if dead men really tell no tales. Well, only one way to find out.

Bea hadn't been quite sure of this event. She'd signed up for a few games at the start of camp without much knowledge. This particular game was Mutiny - something she'd never played but had heard of from a few muggle friends.
Bea had thought she would be going alone to this event but luckily she'd made friends with her tent mates, and a few of them had signed up as well, to various games over the course of camp. She'd promised to come with Monica, but had to make a stop before coming to drop a letter off for home, since it was her Nan's birthday and all. Catching sight of her friends dark head of hair, Bea grinned. Playing games was always better with friends. Sidling up to Monica, she knocked her shoulder. "Hey! Ready tae play?" Her Scots was starting to slip out due to excitement. It happened all the time, usually when the girl was more overcome with emotion.
Looking around at the other players, she noticed one boy standing by himself, off to the side. She cocked her head and squinted. He looked familiar but Bea couldn't place where from. He was definitely from Hogwarts, Bea could tell that. He didn't have a foreignness that the students from the visiting schools did. Maybe if she introduced herself? Bea bit her lip, mulling it over.

Mutiny-Wolf game is a game that Rita is no stranger to growing up as a muggle-born. She used to play a different version of this game with her primary school friends, and although she remembered being not very good at this game since she was terrible at telling lies therefore always voted out first when she was the wolf or werewolf in the muggle version of the game Sorry, werewolf students, I don`t mean to offend you guys. The protector in this game is known as the witch in the muggle version, but since we are playing this game as wizards, that is understandable. Though she was not sure if the protector can poison someone like the witch in the muggle version of the game. Besides, the muggle version of the game also has a fortunate teller that can check other people`s identities, one person at a time. I think the hunters in both games are the same, and they can bring one person with them when they die, aren`t they, Kim? Rita was not sure which version of the game is better, hope the wizard version wins. "Besides, 13 humans, that can take ages to kill! The game is going to take quite a while anyway." Rita thought when she read the notice posted by Kim on the wall, "Anyway, It is still a fun game to play with a group of people get together and have fun. The Chaotic Damon background also adds a different layer to the game. Hope I get better at this game this time and hopefully not the first person to be killed. Thanks to Kim for organizing the game!" Rita went to the boat to join the group of students already there preparing for the game and greeted them, "Hi, I am Rita, Rita Su, a Second-Year Hufflepuff. I am looking forward to this Mutiny-Wolf game, and hope to have fun with you guys!"
