The people were floating in. And her team was as well. She stepped from the 'shadows' in and realised there were already a few people on their 'base'. Socialising in big groups was still an issue. It will always be an issue, to be honest. She just didn't like it at all. But... the challenge was the challenge.
The rules were kind of still messy in her head as she couldn't quite make sense of them. But she eventually decided not to. Just go as it goes. Go together with the current.
She could easily stand another couple of minutes of calm solitude before she'd need to fully interact with the strangers and decide on the strategy. Catching the names and remembering was what she was able to do best. Stephen. So the other one had to be Kim — their captain. These were the only boys on their team, so not hard to guess.
Another girl floated in, smiley and greeting. French. EmmaLee, okay. It seemed people like to be introduced by their full names, so probably she should remember those as well. No, she doesn't, of course.
She was intrigued by the variety of hair colours and colours in general. The whole place including the people seemed as if they were on the top of some rainbow. It was funny and scary at the same time. Definitely distracting, but must bring a lot of merriness to the participants. Supposedly.
Kamila and some Russian surname. Not easy to catch even though she knew a few Russian surnames. Pretty. Asking a lot of questions. She shrugged.
Then she wasn't sure what exactly happened or whom. Something speaking in what was supposed to be piratish practually exploded into the scene. Okay, so Aryan was a boy two. So three, not two. As if it mattered. Then she remembered that no wand was allowed and suddenly realised that it was good that there were three boys and not two. Disregarding how clowny or noisy they would be.
Cielle. Sounded French enough to be a Beaux student. She actually smiled to her. She had a nice aura.
Someone was missing. They lacked a person, which wasn't good as without magic there was practically nothing to substitute a real person. Which meant disadvantage.
"Maybe, Meenauh, you could have some fun once in a while, without looking at everything as a challenge?" the first one woke up lazily in her head.
"But it is a challenge!" another spat.
"Pff", the Slytherin just laughed at them as Meenauh kept smiling with her arms crossed on her breast level.
She was still keeping silence.

────────────────────As more of her teammates arrived, Olive smiled friendlily at them all. ”Great to meet all of you!” she responded. She was getting a bit antsy waiting around for the game to start. She saw only one other person she knew from Ilvermorny, but she didn’t know him very well. “You’re our team captain?” she asked him inquisitively. After she received an answer, she would turn back to look out over the water and see what else was going on on the other ships.
Once the event organizer started to speak, she listened attentively. A small snort escaped her when they said to take a life jacket for those not comfortable with swimming. To Olive, who was incredibly athletic, it seemed funny to her that others may not know how to swim. She readied herself, and finally the words she had been waiting for were said. ”The game begins in 3...2...1! Go Capture those Flags!”
Realizing she still had no idea what the strategy was for her team, she turned back to them. ”So really, what is the plan? Probably should figure that out soon before another team gets to us.” Olive smiled, her mind already racing with her competitive spirit that she wore in all athletic events.────────────────────STA: 7 | EVA- 7 | STR- 2 | WIS- 7 | ARC- 5 | ACC- 7────────────────────

Her team leader was dressed in a very interesting outfit, his bright pink and yellow making him look like a piece of candy, seeming like a color-blind person with absolutely no fashion taste had picked it out. The Russian girl kept her opinion to herself as she wasn't the fashion police but she did silently judge the boy in her head. His extreme failure in the department of English accents didn't help his image as he sounded like an idiot. Of course, Elizaveta wasn't the best English speaker either but at least she did not try to fake an accent.
As the safety rules were explained Eliza listened carefully, translating every word in her head so she was sure she understood everything. With the mention of the life jackets being for those who weren't comfortable with swimming, she quickly removed the piece. She was fine with swimming but not fine with the ugly thing ruining her great outfit, no thank you. Taking little mental notes, the blond repeated in her head that only one was allowed on an obstacle and if you broke the rule you would be out of the game. Understanding the rules, the girl slowly nodded as she went over them one more time in her head while her eyes scanned her teammates to see if they had understood them as well.
Once the team had discussed their plan, during which the blond only listened and didn't say much, she would give her team a little smile. "Good luck," she said, only loud enough for those close to her to hear before waiting for the countdown.

It didn't take long before The Coral Crossbones were shuffled from the main deck and onto their ship. In the time it took for that to happen, Lucky began to get past her initial shyness. Excitement was ramping itself up in her heart and the game was all that mattered. She'd made the Slytherin team right before the end of her second year and knew being second string, it was unlikely that she would see any action. It was the end of the summer and this was likely her last shot at something besides broom practice. She wanted to get going. Her teammates mingled and talked among themselves and some were like her -- observing the other ships. Lucky began to watch the other team members and realized -- mostly everyone was still strategizing.
Maybe it was a reckless idea, one she shouldn't have even spoken out loud but Lucky slowly made her way past her other teammates, steeled herself against her nerves, and raised her hand for the captain's attention. ❛ Captain Ronnie. ❜, she said softly, strangely speaking to him as if he were an adult. ❛ Whatever we're going to do...we should do it now. While everyone else is talking. ❜ Lucky was quite proud of herself for loudly stating the obvious. But hey, a few minutes ago -- she couldn't even meet the attractive boy's eyes. Now she was talking to him, more focused on winning than she was on the fact that he was cute. ❛ I'm okay to go first, Cap. ❜

Louca hopped from foot to foot, excited to meet his teammates and raring to get started. Strategy was important though all Louca wanted to do was test out some of those obstacles and score some points. Raising his hand, he quickly asked “yes! I’m ready! Can I get a flag?” He definitely was not defender material, especially after seeing the obstacles they would have to face. There was no hesitation in Louca’s mind. He wanted to go try any of those obstacles and getting points for his team was a bonus.
Louca tugged at his swim shorts, starting to get more antsy and unable to stand still. He was all for strategy but boy did he want to get out there. Blurting out a question, he quickly said “Do we have certain people who want to attack certain teams? I could care less honestly. Just point me in a direction.
Louca usually was more focused on making friends but he was too excited right now to think about a good conversation starter and he was certain they’d have limited time to strategize. Otherwise the game would take too long.
Focusing in on the group, he flashed a smile. “Sorry, usually I’m more laidback but I’m really excited! What about you guys?” Louca put his fist out, looking at each of his teammates to see if any would fist bump him. After a few minutes, he grinned happily, turning to face the field and getting into a runner’s stance, happy to get started.
Looking around at the field, he made what he hoped were intimidating faces at each of his opponents before checking to see if everyone else was on board with the plan and raring to go. Grinning a savage grin, he knew he wouldn’t fail because he was in the zone and fully focused. Taking off as soon as he heard the organizer yell Capture the Flag, he didn’t look back, only focusing on his target.

"Hello, Serena!" While the introduction was addressed to everyone in their group, Kit would happily wave back to the older student before turning her attention to the next introduction. She held herself with a lot more poise, but the Beauxbatons student would offer another happy wave as a common greeting to anyone who introduced themselves. She would also offer a salute to one of the students before adding on her own introduction. "I'm Kit, excited to be here!"
Soon enough, the referee introduced the rules of the game, officially starting the event. It was all pretty self-explanatory except for the 'no more than one person per obstacle at a time', but even that was understandable once given explanation. Kit would nod her head once the speech was done, turning back to the group for strategy. She knew she wouldn't be the one thinking it up, very much okay with Serena's option of kicking butt. But it was clear that probably wasn't enough planning for the others, so the rising third year would happily listen in and offer any insights she could on her personal skills in order to figure out what role best fit. Otherwise, she was more than okay with letting Decipio and the others sort it out.

As Starlee listened to the rules given by the event coordinator, her excitement began to grow. It all seemed simple enough, and similar enough to Capture the Flag, all that was left to do now was show off her skills.
Starlee was quick to join in on the huddle, ready to give some advice to those who may not be so familiar with it or to help with questions. She responded to his comment quickly as well, with an excitable "Oh you bet I'm ready!", a smile gleaming wide across her face. The Kennedy family had a tradition of becoming competitive when it came to games. While that tradition was typically board games, this more physical game had managed to pique Starlee's interest a lot more than she expected, and her competitiveness was coming out.
Starlee looked at another boy on her team, who said that they were also pretty excited, and he proceeded to offer a fist bump to someone. The ever-excitable Starlee was ready for it, and she would quickly fist bump the boy back, smiling. "I'm super excited too, this looks like it will be a lot of fun!" She was happy that someone else was excited about this, and it was certainly putting her in a better mood.
It wasn't long after their strategy talk occurred that the countdown for the game began, and Starlee readied herself for battle.

As Florian greeted River, she was clearly ready to rumble, telling him off already that the 'Pinky Parrots' would win. He couldn't help but chuckle back at her as she continued on about the somewhat hilarious names that the coordinators had chosen, and he himself felt the same way.
"It appears they choose alliteration for team names, for better... or... well... maybe worse in your case." He chuckled again before continuing. "Coral Crossbones is quite hilarious as well... Coral is almost like pink... and crossbones are supposed to be threatening... a bit of an oxymoron, no?" He was getting a bit too lost in the analyzation of the team names when his team captain called his group to attention.
Before leaving to join them, he would wave briefly at River, saying "Well Mademoiselle, either way it will be you that is going down, because the Coral Crossbones will win!" And with that he turned with a smirk and a quick wink at her.
As he joined his group, he would realize that he wasn't familiar with any of them. Normally Florian would be one to take charge and lead a group, but he was a bit more interested in just playing the game, and so he listened to the rules and gave suggestions where he could.
It was finally time to begin, and Florian would nod to his teammates, ready to do what it took to win.

All in all when Ronnie called out his deck mates' name, five out six had shown up. His blue=grey eyes bounce from one person to the next. Still, the only person he knew on his crew was Charles. When the blonde (Charles) stood around their little circle, the Durmstrang gave the Castelobruxo student a compliment.
"Hello, Ronnie. Glad to be on a team together, you're probably the best captain here,"Charles said to the acting Captain. He gazes at Ronnie for a moment and the Castelo student was lost in the blueness of Charles' eye. The second youngest of the Ramírez then shook his head to bring himself back to reality. If he wants his team to win the whole thing, he needs his head in the game.
The feeling he felt throughout the camp was confusing and Ronnie wants to delve it further but it can wait since he needs to lead his team to victory right now. Charles translated everything that Ronnie said to the girl beside him. He try to press his smile when Ronnie caught Charles calling him cute. If only Charles knows that Ronnie speaks German fluently, he would think twice before saying anything in front of him.
When the other team members gather in their respective ships, Ronnie made a mental calculation and notes which ships his team will attack first. Ronnie then asked his teammates to introduce themselves so Ronnie knows their nicknames and it will be easier to address them when the Coral Crossbones discussed strategy amongst them.
It started with the petite girl who addressed the fourth year so softly. Her shyness is adorable and Ronnie needs the girl to know that. "You are cute, don't you know that?"He states to Lucky and smiles sweetly at her. When he smiled at the Slytherin girl, his dimples shows. Ronnie heard what she said and nodded his head. "Anyone else?"The Portuguese boy addressed his deck mates.
Then from the back, a hand was raised. The brown-haired boy asked for the paper Ronnie was holding and the Captain of the day comply with his request. He seems jotted down something on the blank side of the paper. And when he had done what he did, Seven returned the paper to Ronnie. Ronnie's eyes darted left and right reading what Seven had written on the paper.
Once Ronnie was done reading what the young lad wrote for him, the Castelo student made a mental note in which position Seven should be placed. Once the time was up to discuss strategy amongst themselves, Ronnie and the rest of the other attendees that were gathered for today's event, all paid attention to the rules that had been given by the event organizer.
Ronnie looked at his deck mates. "Everybody knows what they are doing?"Ronnie inquired his teammates with his heavily thick English-Portuguese accent. When a collective of head nods had been given, Ronnie nodded his head as well. "Good,"He told his deck mates. The blue-grey eyes boy took a deep breath and stilled himself. His head is focused on the task and the ship that they want to attack first.
The event organizer then grasped their whistle and an enchanted megaphone to amplify their voice before mounting and flying up into the air. "The game begins in 3...2...1! Go Capture those Flags!"The acting referee said from up above. Ronnie smiled from ear to ear. He can wait for him and his deck mates to dominate the game. Let's the game commence and may the best team win!

CORAL CROSSBONES
───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───In truth, Greta wasn't really sure what the plan was. her eyes kept darting between the various people in the group, brows furrowing and unforrowing as she caught small snippets of words or phrases that she understood before they were lost into the sea of so much more that she didn't. Like a magnetic field, Allu's presence would constantly draw her eye as she sought understanding and guidance. While she didn't always receive it, and probably missed more than she might have liked, she was still determined to have a good time.
At the very least, she understood the premise of the game. Get to the other ships, bypass the barriers, steal their flags, and return. Easy peasy. All she would have to do would be to actually carry it out according to the team's plans. But even if things somehow got lost in translation and she was ultimately left to her own devices, she had more than a few goals in mind. And one of them was standing on a far platform looking far too warm for the situation. She would have to make a point to help him out and cool him off. With a splash. With one last glance to her captain for direction, she set off.
