Athena followed the tour and did her best to memorize the layout of the camp. There was so much too see, so only a few things stuck in her brain. When they got picking there activities Athena peeked at Caras sheet and put down mostly the same options. But she switched up two things. Instead of crocheting and bracelet making, she chose track and rock climbing. As much as she liked her friend, she hated too admit that it was possible to get burnt out of each other. When that was over they headed back to the cabin for bonding time. She wasn’t very excited for the discussions. She and Cara had gone over their fake stories so many times, but she could help rerunning the story in her head. She prayed Cara had gone over it with Rita but she wasn’t sure. “We’ll start with a simple game,” Amelia said as they took a seat in the grass outside the cabin, “bubblegum—or Tarzan.”
“Bubblegum goes like this: Bubblegum, bubblegum, in a dish, how many prices do you wish. Then whoever I land on says a number. For example: 5. Then I would say: one, two, three, four, five. Whoever I land on is our!” Charlie explained.
“Tarzan is basically the same but the song goes like this: Tarzan monkey man swinging from a rubber band—it snaps, he falls, what color is his blood? Then you would state a color: blue. B L U E. Whoever I land on is out!” Zara added.
“Any questions?” Amelia finished.

We played Tarzan and Bubble gum for a little bit, and everyone in our cabin got bored. We agreed to play two truths and a lie, and Graci went first. I had talked to Graci earlier so I had a slight advantage.
"Ok. I'm Graci... My first fact is I've lived in 15 states, Umm... I have 3 younger sisters and 2 younger brothers, and I want to play volleyball when i'm older."We voted and we guessed that the lie was she has lived in 15 states.
"Nope! The lie was that I want to play Volleyball when I'm older. I actually don't know what I want to do when I'm older." Emma went next.
" I'm Emma... first, I have lived in America, I have a brother, and I like to go for hikes." We guessed that she hasn't lived in America, because of her strong British accent.
"Wrong! I don't have any siblings! Cora went next.
"Hello, I'm Cora, I have two dogs, I love brownies, I don't like my annoying brother." We guessed that she has two dogs was the lie. "Yeah. You guys got me." Right before Sophie was about to go, Amelia walked in, and announced:
"Alright ya'll its time to get ready for bed! We can take turns changing in the bathroom!" I scrambled over to get my pjs, because I wanted some time to write a journal entry and a letter to my parents. I ended up changing second, and plopped down and my bunk. I grabbed my dark purple journal, and a blue pen. I wrote down what we did that day, and I ripped out a fresh page and wrote this letter:

with the help of Athena I wrote my parents address on the envelope and I stuck the stamp on. I gave it to Amelia, who promised to mail it right away in the morning. I began reading a school text book and taking notes on a piece of parchment tucked in my journal.

Athena was getting tired and she decided it was time to turn in.
“Before you fall asleep, do you want your schedules for tomorrow?” Charlie asked, holding a thick stack of papers. Everyone cheered and rushed over to her. As she passed out the pages she explained that everyday there would be breakfast, 3 classes, lunch, 3 classes, dinner, then rec time. Each day’s schedule would be the same and it would switch every week. They were aloud to take classes multiple times, but it wasn’t encouraged because they would be repeating the same thing. Athena greedily snatched her schedule out of Charlie’s hand and looked at it. It was neatly typed and Athena was impressed, not used to advanced muggle technology.

Dear Mum and Dad,
I believe you must be worrying about me. However, there is no need to worry about me because I am safe, healthy and having fun at this camp. We play a lot of games and I make friends with several lovely girls at this camp. There are a variety of activities at this camp, and the food and accommodation are great. There is also a good medical team in this camp so you do not have to worry about me when I get sick.(I hope that do not happen) Anyway, there is no need to worry about me and see you at the end of the camp.

I woke up way too early, before anyone else was up. The sun was streaming in through the window and right on to my face. I glanced over at Athena and she was still sleeping. I rolled back over and waited until Zara got up. An alarm went off, announcing it was 7:30. I lazily rolled over and watched Zara walk across the room to turn the light on.
“Ok ya’ll I’m turning the lights on now!” Multiple groans were heard across the room, and the lights flickered on. I sat up and looked around the room. Right. My glasses. I turned in the direction of my dresser, only seeing a blurry blob of brown. I reached up and carefully felt around for them. I grabbed them and put them on, and stood up. Athena was already stretching and Rita was digging around in her dresser.
“Morning Athena!” I said as I grabbed out a blue t-shirt and pair of shorts. I slid on my flip flops and quickly went over to the bathroom. Stella, Cora and Emma were already waiting, so I hopped in line behind them.
When every one was dressed we all headed down to breakfast. It was set up buffet style, where you waited in line, picked what you wanted and sat down and ate. I got toast with jam, and a bowl of cereal with milk. I grabbed some orange juice to drink. I went over to our table and waited for everyone else to get their food. We all began to eat.

Athena opened her eyes, expecting the teal walls of her room to be greeting her. Instead she saw the bunks full of sleeping girls, and beyond them the log cabin walls. When she sat up and looked around she noticed she was the first awake. She cautiously slid out of the bunk and glanced at the clock. 6 AM. She looked around for something to do, and decided to go change. Her outfit now was an athletic pair of black shoes, black shorts, and a green camp T-shirt. She stepped out of the cabin into the cool morning air and did a few stretches before heading out for a jog. She wasn’t sure where to go, until she saw the trails heading out into the forest. She headed out, cautiously at first, then at ease. She checked the watch she had made her parents get her. 6:30. Everyone would be waking up now. She swore under her breath, she had been hoping to get back before anyone noticed. She turned around and started retracing her steps, picking up the pace. Soon she reached a fork in the past and she suddenly wished that she had paid more attention when heading down the path. Left or right? She wondered, eyes darting between them. Left. She decided and continued her jog to what she hoped was the girls cabins. Instead, she came out onto the main road.
“Lets hope I remember something from the tour.” She grumbled. She checked her watch. 7:03. Someone had to have noticed by now. It was a designated time for breakfast, and her stomach grumbled loudly. She was tired, but she went even faster than before.
