EmmaLee smiled as Lillian sat down and confirmed that she felt the same way that EmmaLee did about being new to the camp and the school. EmmaLee definitely liked Lillian so far. They seem to be on the same wavelength personality wise. Lillian was nice and personable, even though she seemed shy and a little nervous. EmmaLee was looking forward to getting to know the other girl and possibly become real friends.
"It is not selfish at all," EmmaLee said after finishing the last of her food and taking a drink of water. "I think these shared feelings are what bring people together, clearly." She continued, gesturing to herself and Lillian to emphasize her point. As she did, a house elf popped up and carried her empty plate away for her. She smiled at the creature and said a quick 'thank you' before continuing with Lillian. "It makes one feel a lot less alone when there are others who feel the same way."
When Lillian expressed her worry that their tentmates wouldn't get along, EmmaLee placed a comforting hand near hers, unsure if Lillian would actually want to be touched, and said, "Well, clearly there is some unknown conflict between Astrid and Louca that honestly might have to be resolved before the whole entire tent can get along. I have the distinct feeling that the other Ilvermorny students know what that is and I hope they all can sort it out. But I do think that everyone else is friendly and probably committed to getting along so I wouldn't worry about it too much." EmmaLee mused carefully.
She was pretty sure that even if there was conflict, everyone would pretty easily work it out like they did about the prank wars. That was resolved pretty easily once everyone realized that there was an official prank war event, but even before that the boys had been very active in reassuring everyone that it would be good, clean pranking that wouldn't get anyone in trouble. So EmmaLee was sure that everyone was committed to being friendly and getting along. "We are quite different, but it doesn't seem to me that there are any really conflicting personalities and it seems like everyone is very committed to the whole tent having a good time here." She finished with a nod, as if confirming to herself that they seemed to have a good group of people together.
She thought for a moment and admitted, "I think what I'm worried about though is getting any privacy. I am planning on hanging curtains around my bunk once I get back to the tent later."

01/08/2022 In casual wear [x] ────────────────────── MENTIONS. N/AThe moment spiced lamb and roasted vegetables consumed his tastebuds, he knew he’d find himself scrambling for seconds. There was rarely a point in Lysander's life where he was not bordering gluttony; a young man as active as himself needed all the fuel he could get. After an eventful morning of travel and setting up camp with his Hexwizard team, he politely excused himself afterwards to join other friends. If he could locate them among the crowd, that was. If not, food brought people together, so Lysander was confident that sooner or later a familiar face or two would show itself.
Sandwiching his now second serving of pita bread and meaty contents between strong hands, Lysander plopped down onto the nearest bench, chowing down in a way that the tzatziki would not spill over the wrapping and onto his clothes. Sweet, sweet satiety, until the same table emitted a sudden slam, drawing him away from his dish. Then came the sound of undeniable venting. Raising a brow, he turned towards the culprit, a foreign girl he could only assume, sitting on the farthest edge of the bench away from him. He could not understand her language, but she was obviously upset. No amount of French smooth-talking could mask that. “…Bad day, huh?” Lysander asked, attempting to start conversation. Who knew if she could even speak English back, but it was worth a shot—his meal was dwindling by the second and he still intended to socialise.Open to interactions.

Soon enough, a familiar voice came from behind the newspaper he was reading which forced him to stop what he was doing. Percival looked up to see Santario and immediately folded up the paper to give her his undivided attention "San" he said with a small smile, his right hand placing the newspaper beside him "Have you had a growth spurt? you look so much taller than before" he asked curiously, his eyes only resting on her eyes and nothing else.
"My month was good, thank you. It was even better when I was talking to you" Gray smiled again and picked up a chip to eat "Me and my family visited Nan and Grandad in Ireland. We stayed there for a week and also got to meet some of the extended family" he explained, considering it had been a few months since he had seen that side of the family "Conas a bhí do laethanta saoire? an ndeachaigh tú go hÉirinn freisin?" How was your holiday? did you also go to Ireland?
Gray grabbed his food and slowly got up to sit next to Santario, his face moving forward to give her a quick peck on the cheek just when he had settled down on the bench beside her "You don't know how much I missed you, San. Next holiday, we most definitely stick together"

"URGGGGGG" she moaned, ready to smash her head into the table, she was so ready to go home.
And then someone started talking to her, part of her was taken aback at school people rarely talked to her if they seen she was in a bad mood (which was quiet often), mostly because she was stuck in her own bubble of anger. The other part of her was interested, why was he talking to her? What did he want from her? She looked at him.
"Oui" yes she sighed, "I often am, at least lately. While I'm at school at least." The French girl did not even realize that she was switching between French and English, it had become such a habit that in her brain she was speaking all one language.
"Bad days happen, um, at least four days a week." She shrugged, "soon People will be more surprised when I'm having a good day." She snorted.
"URGGGGGG." She hit the table with her fist again, OUCH! That had hurt, stupid stupid table hurting River.
Never mind the fact that she had been the one to hit the table.

Lillian was glad EmmaLee didn't get the wrong impression of her when she said she was glad that she wasn't alone in her nervousness. To her surprise, EmmaLee managed to voice exactly what Lillian was feeling. "Well, then, I guess it's a good thing that it looks like everyone's feeling the same way. Except for a few of us, of course." She knew she didn't need to mention who the few were. It was probably a good thing that some of the students in their tent were confident, excited for camp, and ready to jump headfirst into the fun. It canceled out the rest of them, who were a little more cautious.
Lillian nodded when EmmaLee spoke of Louca and Astrid. So she hadn't been imagining the tension. EmmaLee had picked up on the resentment between them too. "I think they might just have to sort it out. Either that or the rest of us can brace for some drama. I don't think Louca harbors any major anger, but Astrid definitely seems to have it out for him. I guess we'll just have to hope we don't get caught in the crossfire of an argument of wizards," she said with a little laugh, that sounded more nervous than she actually felt.
Lillian pushed her food around her plate with her fork. As always, even though she was starving, after a few bites she resorted to a slower speed of eating. Clearly unlike EmmaLee, who was already done with her first plate and would probably be getting up for seconds. Lillian didn't share EmmaLee's outlook on the tentmates either. EmmaLee seemed to believe that their differences would prove to be a good thing and they would all harmonize soon enough. Lillian didn't think so, but she didn't voice her thoughts, instead responding with a shrug. However, EmmaLee's next words did catch her attention. "That's a great idea! I was worried about that, too, and I think I might just steal that thought. I definitely need my alone time, and that's pretty difficult to get in a tent with 9 other people."

───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───
───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───It had been a little bit forward of her, Greta knew, to seat herself next to a stranger. For all she knew, the girl was actually waiting for someone else to join her, or perhaps wanted to sit by herself. Of course, neither of these had really occurred to the Norwegian before she'd sat herself hter on the bench, and so all she could do was turn a sheepish smile over to the other girl when they spoke up.
"Ehm..." It sounded like the same thing she had called the dish before... Greta, gaze dipping to her own plate, could only nod with the assumption that she was looking for some sort of affirmation. "Yes...I think?" Really, she hadn't the faintest idea of what this Pollo Asota was, so could only assume that what she had been given was indeed this thing. "Ehm... What is a Pollo Asota? A—" Wait, no, that wasn't right. "Asado.." she corrected with an embarrassed chuckle. "It smells very tasty," she hoped, a bit blown away by just how bold the aroma.
Not even a bite would be taken, however, before the two of them were joined by another. Greta saw the boy coming over, eyes directed up by the diversion of her new companion and watched him confidently make his way over to sit on her other side. "Bubba?" Greta blinked, looking at the boy. He seemed very well put-together for a boy. And had unusually dark eyes almost like molten chocolate that contrasted his otherwise pale features. It was that which most stuck with Greta.
"Er... Hallo." Her own greeting had been a bit delayed, distracted as she was by his eyes and the way his cheeks dimpled. She blinked, remembering herself, then turned her head back around to the unfamiliar girl. "Is it name, Bubba?" Greta wondered. She had heard the name Bubba before. It was an Icelandic name, after all. But never for a boy. Surely this was a nickname or some sort of inside joke, then.
"I am... ehm... I am Greta.." Realizing that she hadn't yet introduced herself, she rectified that now.
It was clear that the two others were quite a bit younger than her, but it was doubtful anyone looking in from a third party perspective could tell. Greta still hadn't quite graced 5 feet herself, and the way she hunched and tucked her shoulders only made her seem all the smaller. Feet swung counter current to each other slowly as she sat, nervous in her position sandwiched between the two. And uncertain of what to say, she ended up letting her gaze simply fall to the plate she had lowered to her lap.
Well, it was now or never...
Fork and knife in hand, she cut herself a morsel of the meat—chicken, by the looks of it—and tucked it between her teeth. She chewed for a few moments, contemplative. But the more she chewed, the more the movement slowed, heat rising slowly and steadily up her neck and into her face. It was not tasty. It was very very very spicy. Scandanavians were not known to tolerate bold spices well. Or rather... at all. Norway, in particular, was rather well known for its relatively bland foods. Spice of any sort tended to be poorly received; and Greta was no exception.
"Spicy..." came the whimper.
She swallowed, tongue rubbing itself on the roof of her mouth as though that would somehow dispel the burn that was gradually engulfing her mouth. It was on fire. As tears rimmed her eyes and the pounding thrum of her heart made itself known in her ears, Greta direly wished she had thought to bring a drink. She was almost certain that if she opened her mouth, flames would spew form to give away her discomfort. As though her discomfort wasn't already written all over her face. In a hasty decision, Greta bolted upright, deposited her plate to her seat, and ran back towards the food tables, one hand over her mouth.
Over the next moments, she would be seen gulping down a large glass of cold milk.

Bubba sat there enjoying his Pollo Asado, it was really quite good. He was just glad he'd lucked out and got Pollo Asado and not escargot or something along those lines. He could work for Pollo Asado. He had a couple of bites and took a couple of sips from his iced coffee. He felt the octane hit his system right away. His father was worried that he'd already started drinking coffee at 12 but what he didn't know didn't hurt him. It had been a long day between the ferry and the drive. After a few moments, Reena broke the silence, checking to see if she was who he thought she was. Or it could've been a joke, he didn't know her well enough to tell. He looked down at his chest, "Well I lost my name tag but I think so."
He hoped he hadn't intruded by sitting down with them but at the same time, it was a bench, not a table, he figured he was fine.
"As for the Pollo Asado," he said as he took another sip of his iced coffee, "I got up there, and the choices just overwhelmed me and Pollo Asado was the first thing that popped out of my mouth." He took another bite of the Pollo Asado and swallowed hastily before adding, "It's quite good." He didn't want to come off as accidentally disparaging it, he was a bit awkward in that way. "To be honest I was going to get a turkey club but this is much better."
Now that he heard the other girl speak he placed her accent somewhere in the Scandanavian region but beyond that he had no idea. She could tell them if she wanted to. He was entertained by her asking about his name, he supposed if Bubba was a weird name to anyone not from Louisana it'd certainly be a weird name to someone from Scandanavia. He was used to the general double takes when he mentioned his name. "Yes," he said after finishing another fork full of rice, "It's creole for great and inspirational leader." He couldn't even keep a straight face, what a ridiculous notion. "If you asked anyone not from Louisiana they'd probably say it means 'man that wrestles alligator'."
As he finished explaining his name he saw Greta slow her chewing and at first thought that she was savoring her food, a moment later he knew once that the Pollo Asado was too much for her. It had literally brought a tear to her eyes. Her face went from normal to bright red in about a second. He heard a sound that he was pretty sure was an attempt at the word "spicy", followed by her hasty departure with her hand over her mouth. She was clearly not having a wonderful time.
As he watched her off in the distance downing what looked like a couple of gallons of milk, he took another bite of his own Pollo Asado. It really wasn't that hot. He shook his head as he swallowed, "Some people just can't take the heat," he said after he'd finished.

Outfit: x Summer camp! Oh, how fun this was going to be. After a busy morning arriving to the stadium and settling into her tent, all Vivienne wanted to do now was obviously eat some delicious food at the BBQ and meet some new people! She just knew summer camp was going to be fun. The ability to make new friends from all over the world while participating in a variety of fun activities that were set up for them, not to mention the broom race later in the month that she would be participating in excited Vivienne beyond belief. This month was going to be extremely fun, Vivienne was sure of it.
When she arrived at the BBQ area, her stomach rumbled immediately as the fresh aroma of delicious food enveloped her senses. She needed a delicious plate of food and a refreshing drink ASAP. She headed over to line up at one of the tables, grabbing a paper plate and some plastic utensils. What should she eat? There was just too much to choose from. "Could I get some barbecue ribs please? Oh and also a cheeseburger, please. Thank you!" She asked and thanked the house elves as they handed her the food. Looking down at her plate and noticing the distinct lack of veggies, she also asked for some vegetables to even it out a tiny bit. Her mama always told her she had to eat her veggies every day. Once her plate was nearly overflowing with some delicious food, she chose a cup of iced tea for her drink to wash it all down.
Food and drink in hand, she made her way over to find a spot to sit until she, luckily, saw the face of someone familiar. River! They had both explored the grounds of Beauxbatons together, and Vivienne would consider the other girl a friend. Walking over to her, she smiled and sat down on the bench beside her, "Hi River! How have you been? Are you enjoying summer camp so far? I know it's only been a few hours, really, but I'm having a lot of fun already!" That was when she noticed River was talking to a boy Vivienne didn't know nor recognize, "Oh, hello!" She greeted the boy in English, assuming he didn't speak French, before she picked up her cheeseburger and took a bite out of it. Swallowing, she proceeded to ask, "What's your name? I'm Vivienne! Vivienne Beaumont! I'm from Beauxbatons. Where are you from? Are you enjoying summer camp so far?"

To say that Theo liked being back in Europe would be the understatement of the year. The young Thunderbird was more than happy to be back, quite relieved that his parents permitted him to come in the first place. This year, traveling was taken care of by everyone individually, meaning his parents had to pay for flights and train rides. Being 14, Theo had been able to get a part-time job to help though, he didn't have to ask his parents to sign a permission twice.
And so it worked out! Here he was, at the London Quidditch Stadium and quite proud that he had managed the long journey all by himself. He had never been on a flight before and doing so alone had stressed the young boy out quite a bit, even though his parents had helped him with his check in and went with him until the security checks. Checking in his broom had made him a little nervous, but everything worked out in the end.
Once Theo had settled into his tent and left his belongings next to his bed, he had left it again to explore the camp a little- and to try and shake off the tiredness, be damned, jet lag! After only a little while, a mix of delicious scents as well as the sound of several (hundred) kids lured him over to the barbeque. He didn't even realize how hungry he was until he reached the food.
Struggling to pick for a bit, he finally settled on a turkey leg, two sausages, some asparagus and a flagon of virgin butterbeer, which immediately revived the memory of a snowy afternoon in the Three Broomsticks, before he turned and looked for a place to sit. His gaze fell on a bench on which three people were sitting already and immediately felt a smile appear on his face.
Slowly he would make his way over to the bench. "Well, hello there! I'm Theo, mind if I sit with you?"
As the bench seemed quite crowded already, he would sit on the ground and lean against one of the bench's legs.

EmmaLee nodded as Lillian expressed her continued concerns about their tent. She sipped at her water as Lillian talked, content with her first plate of food, although she may go back for some more coeur à la crème in a moment. There was always a second stomach for dessert.
"Well, if they do end up really fighting it out, they can't use their wands and I don't think that Louca seems the type to hit a girl, so it will probably be just yelling and arguing and anyone who doesn't want to be present for that can just leave until it's over." She said with a small shrug, twilling her finger around the rim of her plastic cup thoughtfully. She could sense that Lillian was still apprehensive about their tentmates getting along, but didn't further try to convince the other girl. They would see how it all played out in the end. This was merely day one. She smiled when Lillian express that she wasn't the only one concerned about privacy, displaying another reason that EmmaLee thought they were going to be great friends.
"Yes. Definitely steal it." She said with a small laugh. "I have a couple of extra sheets in my trunk because my mother didn't know exactly how Hogwarts would work on the end. So I intend to just hang them around my bunk like curtains, since I picked a bottom bunk. Then I can always just close them when I don't want to talk to anyone." She explained, leaning forward and putting her head in her hands.
"So what is your, um, back story, I guess?" EmmaLee asked, trying to get to know the other girl better. "What is your family like? Are you excited to go to Hogwarts?"
