Twirl the Flagon — Group 4
EXPLANATIONReducio› Students have been separated into semi-randomized groups (12 or 14 per group, partially weighted by year)
› Each round, Students (ICly) take turns spinning a bottle to determine a partner (those who spin in a given round are randomized)
› Players will have 1 week to RP their character's action (kiss / hug / retreat). God modding is NOT allowed, and all actions should be made as attempts to allow the recipient the freedom to react (unless you have express permission from that individual to do otherwise)
› When the week is over, a new round will start with newly randomized list of spinners and spinnees. Students will have one week each round to submit their posts
› Failure to post by a round's deadline will result in the assumption that the character froze up and declined to continue. They will be removed from the game
› All IC rules still apply and IC consequences are possible depending on the situationSite rules and rating will also always apply. All actions/descriptions must comply with them. The game takes place Aug 28th
〘 THE SETTING 〙On the evening in question, the Quidditch stadium would once again undergo something of a transformation. In place of lush grass, it had been filled yet again with water, waves rolling lazily across its depressed surface to lap against the stands and novel shoreline. The breeze carried with it the smell of salt and sea. Sand surrounded its perimeter, one side built up like a tropical beach. White and soft and warm, the sand underfoot was speckled with the occasional pretty little shell to catch the fancy of collectors. A little make-shift ocean in the privacy of camp.
Along the length of the ample shore had been erected a number of tents equal to the number of groups to be participating in this little game. Tents might have been a bit of a misnomer. In truth, they appeared more like gazebos—circular sheltered pop-ups with black opaque mesh sides that kept the insects and prying eyes out while permitting the cool and refreshing summer breeze in.
Inside, there would be no real floor to speak of, bare sand for the beach-bound. But for those who found it to be far too rough and coarse and obnoxiously capable of getting everywhere, reed mats served as safe places to perch. A plethora of colourful pillows and cushions would also be found piled within. Just waiting for the grabbing they promoted the comfort and casual relaxation of the temporary would-be denizens.
Jars of various sizes and style circled the perimeter, providing soft mood lighting illumination for the upcoming activity without over-powering the romanticism of the starlit sky twinkling down from above an openly screened ceiling. Fruits and treats had been arranged in tantalizing displays on platters are regular intervals between the available seating, just begging to be nibbled. And at the shelter's centre, the highlight of it all: a green glass bottle poised on its side upon a raised circular dais.
One by one, the students would arrive, each claiming a spot of their own. And once the last had taken their seat, the game would begin.

───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───
───•─•────────────────────────────────────•─•───Whoever had the grand notion of bringing back Spin the Bottle in a beach-pirate themed Twirl the Flagon had some sort of sick sense of humour. Or at least that's what Evelynn would have liked to have thought as she made her begrudging way towards her designated gazebo. Every step felt like a climb, sand giving way and sucking at her boot in a way that made her question whether to turn back with every advancement.
It had been her. She was that person with the sick sense of humour. It had always been a popular event, made evident the very first time she'd hosted it at the Gryffindor slumber party at the conclusion of her first year. And again the next; and then it appeared again during last summer camp. Of course, she had vowed then, after being on the receiving end of a rather thirsty Russian boy, that she would never again put herself into such a position to be made such a fool.
And so she hadn't. But someone had. Her name never should have turned up on the sign-ups. And yet, there it was. As she had sifted through those names and set to assigning students to groups, her own name had glared up mockingly at her as though some twisted trickster had vowed to make her life a living mockery. Lips had twitched then just as they did now with the reminder. She would have loved to have discarded her own name. To pretend she had never seen it and leave herself out of the games, and would have were it not for recent events.
Worst rivalry: Evelynn x romance.
Ridiculous. Even now, months later, the charade of that particular "award" gloated at her with the maniacal laughter of one Marshal Mozor, echoing and careening off the interior of that blasted compartment, compounding and multiplying into a deafening roar of absolute mockery. How. She held little doubt that this was just another test. No doubt someone had submitted her name for the sole purpose to prove a point: that she would fail to show out of some misguided notion that she despised the very notion of romance. Which she didn't. At all. It was a preposterous notion. She merely had better things to do that dedicate herself to someone, unless that someone had something to do with academia.
Clearly this myth needed dispelling. Step 1: make an appearance. Thus, counter to every fibre in her being screaming at her to succumb to her desire to flee, she would figuratively don her boldest Gryffindor cloak and stalk towards the screened tent, popping a lemon sherbet hard candy into her mouth for good measure. The flap of its entrance would be brushed aside like an annoying fly as she crossed within. No glance would be spared to the decor, nor the food. Having been the one to plan it in the first place, it held no particular marvel for her. If anything, it only grated against her nerves. The lighting... the starry canopy... the low pillow seating... the sand that coaxed feet from their shoes... it had all served to work together to build up the moment.
A moment that was very decidedly back-firing.
With a forced exhale through her nose, Evelynn would set her jaw and find herself a seat towards the more interior part of the tent. She would keep mostly to herself as everyone else trickled in, eyes shifting from one participant to the next, curious as to the motives behind the various pairing choices. There would be an unfortunate number of familiar faces. The group had been known long before she had set foot in the tent, and yet her stomach would plummet like quicksand once the faces belonging to the names started to make their appearances. Why did she have to actually come here... What if, God forbid, she actually spun the bottle on Ivy? Or Marshal? The latter would mock her relentlessly... Such worries would subsequently be shoved off the precipice of her thoughts, unpermitted to tarry there and spoil her intent to recover her image and shatter her apparent prude status.
When the time finally came for her turn to spin, she would show no hesitation. Rocking forward from her pillows to her knees, she would let loose and watch it spin, eyes tracking the progress of the bottle as it turned, trying to estimate where it would land... Grey eyes flicked up to meet those of her counterpart. Even in the dim lighting of flickering candles, the electricity of their blues could not be diminished. Good. It seemed someone held pity for her, at least. She had landed on an entirely unfamiliar face.
One night, one kiss, and then he could be forgotten. At least, that's what she had thought initially. Standing, she brushed sand idly from her knees and thighs and moved purposefully in his direction, one goal in mind. Her expression was void of embarrassment or worry, a mask of purpose firmly in place. She would ignore the eyes and cast off the doubt. Even the serpents writhing in her belly would be clobbered into stillness, serving only to hasten her actions lest she lose face and retreat before she could follow-through..
If everything went according to her half-baked plan, Miles would soon find Evelynn kneeling in front of him, hands places on either side of his face to hold it in place. It's only a kiss. She would lean in, breaths coming more quickly as flight response started to kick in, thoughts becoming dizzying in their attempts to spin her completely about and back towards where she had come. Just like Jo. Eyes would close, lips pressing to his.Action: Attempts to kiss Miles

Charles departed from his tent earlier than usual that night, he agreed to walk with Haley to the spin the bottle event that night. The blonde would find light, airy conversation with the girl.
Walking along the campsite, nodding and smiling to Haley's words only to gove replies of his own. The time spent together at the csmp felt nice, it was a change from their usual owls. A welcoming change that is. Walking, nearing the makeshift beach as the blonde laughed" your fooling yourself, there's no way you can beat me in a arm wrestle," smiling with bits of laughter as he ran a hand through his blonde strands, slipping his hands into his jean pockets as he walked.
Arriving at the beach, the teen eyed at the soothing sounds from the lapping waves. The speckled grains of sand. Soft, glowing lights. The tents. Neatly lined, circular and waiting to invite the teens for the night. Where the question would be presented... should he kiss who the bottle lands on?
The blonde signed up for one reason. To kiss lads from different schools although his mind couldn't escape him the past few days. Dreams haunted by the dance of Ronnie and Sara Kohana.... even Johannes, the durmstrang often question why he thought of the quidditch team mate.
The blonde brush back his blonde hair with the thoughts, reminding himself what the night would hold as he spoke"do you want to kiss anyone in particular tonight, Hales? Perhaps a certain American?" Offering a smile as the tent neared, the teen would hold the flap entrance open for Haley before slipping inside himself. Eyes drawn toward the tent flap as he nodded, listening to Haley.
Looking for a seat around the glass bottle, listening and replying to the girl as he took a seat besides her. Nodding, the words echoing Charle's mind as he looked from Haley to the others in their tent when his eyes met Ronnie.
Reducio
The teen stared, a smile widen his lips as he felt his eyes drawn away from the lad. The breaths slowed as he looked back, frozen. Unable to speak, let alone think as he stared at the lad when suddenly Haley's voice broke through. The teen turned, looking at Haley as he spoke"er- what did you say?" The teen haven't realized he stopped paying attention to the girl when staring at Ronnie, reminding himself to keep note of her words. He did care for her as well, just not in a romantic setting.
When the game started, the teen would glance over at Haley. Smiling as he rubbed shoulders with her, moving his eyes back for the bottle. As others spinned, the teen stared. Eyes unable to move off of Ronnie, imagining landing on him.... the moment where their lips would touch... nearly missing his turn, the teen leaned forward a tad. Giving the bottle a light flick, watching it spin as his eyes drifted from the bottle to Ronnie.
Watching, perpareing to kiss the lad when suddenly he heard the voices again. Eyes dropped to the bottle, expecting to see the end pointing at Ronnie. Following the tip to find his eyes on Cielle Johansen. The teen stared, eyes switching between the two... Cielle and Ronnie. This wasn't how it was suppose to go.
The teen nodded toward Haley as he rose from his seat, walking over to the girl. His chest felt tense, rubbing at it with his right hand as he took a seat behind Cielle. The teen technically never kissed a girl. He only ever kissed lads so this would be a first... the teen felt his eyed wash over Ronnie. He couldn't back down, he couldn't seem afraid not in front of Ronnie.
Eyes tore back to Cielle. The girl who was close, Charles usually thought she is the beat friend to Johannes Sauer. The one person Charles did like but also banter with and constantly reminded of his height. The teen eyes would meet Cielle, switching to Russian as he whispered"hello, listen your brilliant and beautiful and an awesome racer but I'm gay and so- anyway could we by chance still kiss? There's someone here and I don't want them seeing me retreating, I'll owe you for a lifetime! Anything you need! Promise!" The words faded. Is the blonde worried? A little.
Eyes found Ronnie, his heart beat echoed in his ears as he looked back at Cielle. Leaning forward, telling himself in his mind that it will be Ronnie next... hopefully.
Action: Attempt to kiss Cielle Johansen but will go on with any option that she chooses

Being at this yeaar Camp was a lot of fun. The fourth year had joined many activities that the Camp had provided. Started with the Triathlon event up to this point. The blue-grey eyes boy had a lot of stories and he can not wait to share it with Cash after he went back to Brazil. As fun as the camp is like those old sayings said 'all good this must come to an end'.
Although this year's camp came to an end, Ronnie believes he will attend the camp again next year and hopefully, his cousin will be by his side next year. Since today is the last remaining day of Summer Camp, Ronnie wants to go out with a bang and in style. Ronnie still has one more activity that he will partake in.
Donning a navy blue shirt with floral print on it, white shorts, and dark blue shoes to match his shirt, Ronnie follows the people to the same destination as him. As soon as Ronnie saw the sand, he took off his shoes. Once his feet touch the sand, Ronnie let out a sigh of contentment. Ronnie missed the beach that was not that far from his house.
The Castelobruxo Duellis could spend hours playing around on the beach. Absorb all those natural Vitamin D that the sun provided for him and the rest of the people that live in the South American hemisphere. Beaches are one of Ronnie's favorite places to just play around or decompressed.
Upon entering his designated tent, Ronnie can not help to let out a whistle of amazement. The ambiance, the lights, the food, the treats, and the other things that his eyes can see were beyond amazing. Whoever set up the gazebo this way, definitely go all out. They did not hold back a bit for a game as innocent as only spinning the bottle.
Ronnie then took one of the colorful pillows and put it on his lap. The Duellist then saw the redhead girl spin the bottle and it landed on Miles. The boy that Haley gets so excited to meet during the annual BBQ at the start of this year's camp. Then Ronnie saw the girl leaning into Miles.
Something then dawn on the Castelobruxo student. The game is not just about spinning the bottle itself but it also includes potentially kissing some random person. As much as Ronnie wants his first kiss as magical and special as it could be, he never thought it will be happening during the Spin the Bottle game.
Such a scandalous feat. And the game itself was far from innocent as he originally thought. The Duellist still wants his first kiss to be special but since he signed up for an event that he knows little to none about it, he can not back out now. He is fearless for Merlin's sake! and he will face it head-on.
After quite some time, it is finally Ronnie's turn to spin the bottle. He leans forward a bit from his position, grabbed the bottle's body, and spun it. Ronnie's eyes diligently paid attention to the spinning bottle until the bottle finally stop. The fourth year then looked up to who was on the other end of the bottle pointed to.
Ronnie let out a breath of relief when he saw it landed on the same girl that give him his first dare during the Truth or Dare game yesterday. "Someone told me this game has três opções three options, is that right?,"Ronnie questions the masses. Hopefully, someone confirmed what he had been informed before this very day.
"Um beijo, a kiss"Ronnie then pointed to his cheek and lips. "Um abraço a hug,"The Duellist then demonstrated an air hug to explain what is um abraço to the group. "Or you can say no,"Ronnie switched from Portuguese to English. "If you say no, I promised I would not be chateado com isso upset about it"The Fourth year added.
"So, what is going to be, senhorita... Miss...,"Ronnie is hoping Olive will provide her name to fill the blank. If Olive says it is fine for Ronnie to kiss her, the blue-grey eyes boy will kiss her cheek. But if not, Ronnie will respect her wish since consent is everything for Ronnie.
Action gives Olive Adair options of what Ronnie should do to her on this round

Interacting With: @Percival Gray | Mentioning: @Marshal Mozor, @Ivy Bellamy, & @Evelynn Decipio | Dialogue Hex: #143314Leonard Oaksworth was ostentatiously a specimen whose romantic tendencies tended to not exist. A violet so shrinking that he could be stepped on without anyone noticing the lack of a purple speck within their messy adolescent forest, he and all his distant examinations of the human creature created a garden of wallflowers all his own, a person whose roots of being splayed out every which way and whose thistles shot up to prick even those who took the most care possible to step with caution. He’d been torn apart for as long as he could remember, vines choking him whenever he tried to be decent for the friends he’d unjustly gained and mandrakes screaming the second he did anything other than bury himself under textbooks and silently judge everyone else’s mental gardens. Long ago, on the cusp of turning ten and haunted by the forceful manners by which his peers had begun to snog each other, he’d decided that his first kiss would be something only he could control, that only he would bear witness to and testify to when he was to be plunked into a coffin. Such planted the portrait of a perfect relationship to Leonard: him, pre-pubescent and totally bored, kissing the deerstalker-wearing detective on his The Hound of the Baskervilles cover ever so briefly. The only way you could find someone more romantic than that, he mused, was by flicking through a book of mugshots.
So, what excuses could he scrounge up for signing his name onto the sheet that spelled social doom should he be grouped with anybody who was even slightly less of a prudish prune than he was? All of them summed to one notion: the need to prove to Marshal Mozor that Leonard Oaksworth could kiss girls. That Leonard Oaksworth could be normal, playing through absurd activities for enjoyment–what would be seen as enjoyment, anyhow. As far as he knew, the vast majority of the population felt and held no need to prove anything of the sort, but between his and the dubiously autographed copies of a certain young adult, vampire-romance-centred book saga stuffed under his pillow, he figured it was better safe than sorry. Dear Merlin, what did safe even mean to him anymore? Before it had been as simple as sleeping through the attacks of cursed arachnids and staying away from squids, and now it was willingly spreading the disease of heartbroken dramatics throughout the stadium. His gaze flitted about as he arrived to their party’s portion of the beach, desperately searching for a hint that someone was as panicked and misguided as he was. He wouldn’t meet eyes with Marshal, of course; aside from the fact he was convinced that he’d somehow made Marshal darken his golden mop by singeing it in a sleeping fugue state, he was certain that the other boy would be showing off his dogged (literally, to some extent) grin to each and every female member of summer camp, would probably be going overtime with how well he fit in here. At last did he meet Ivy Bellamy’s eyes, a strike of lightning to his nervous, murky swamp. They weren’t the closest of campmates, much less the closest of tentmates, but he felt a surreptitious connection with her that he couldn’t explain. Wouldn’t explain, even if he got the chance and the words to articulate the way her companionship with the other Yearbook-decreed prettiest lioness uncannily reflected his own with Marshal.
Speaking of, the Eyebatch Pwnies must’ve made a blood pact with the organisers of the event at some point, because there she was in the famous flesh. The girl who’d won the Gryffindor Yearbook lottery with her mountain of epigraphs: a prophesied professional sportswoman and a worker for the Ministry with her very own chocolate frog. Fierce and respectful and somehow tied with his years-long, totally nonpareil best mateship. Her renowned rivalry, something that had apparently been widespread knowledge throughout the entire lion society, was not an immature affair between scorned sisterhoods or. While she had earned another nomination with some Gryffindor boy in their year, a full one-fourth and a half of their dwindling democracy had chosen her rivalry with romance to be something of hate potions’ potency.
Logically, he was being illogical. She seemed to be nothing but nice, even sensible when put against the clashingly colourful cast of the Eyebatch clan and their tastes in home decor. He knew he was being stupid, but he couldn’t help but envy her, and so terribly did he wish upon the mocking stars unveiling themselves from the evening sky that one day he too would achieve a rivalry with romance. That one day he would be unbothered, treating Valentine’s as nothing more than a time to send off anatomically correct hearts to his parents and steal chocolates under the pretense of a secret admirer. That one day he would have nothing to prove and nobody whom he felt pressure to love.
As of the 28th of August in his self-proclaimed Summer of Relentless Hormonal Idiocy, however, he could only twirl the flagon to add another scene to its clinking ballet and carry on the game. He’d taken the time wherein others smooched and moved on to calculate all the angles, but in truth, he hadn’t half a target in mind when it came to their group. He only recognised a handful of participants, having not socialised much with the students from other schools or, indeed, students in his very own class. All he was certain about was that he didn’t want Burnett’s ex on his trail, nor did he want to steal away one of Marshal’s many, many girls and break their brotherhood in any way. At last, the glass’s spin drew to an end, landing on a fellow to-be-fourth-year and Slytherin.
Keeping everyone in mind, the bottle hadn’t chosen an irredeemably horrible victim. He didn’t know much about the other boy despite sharing a dormitory with him, and he wasn’t keen on learning much more about any of the boys who shared a dormitory with him. He couldn’t take an automatic dislike to the glass’s casualty, though, with a neat appearance and lack of interaction bringing some redemption. Between the arsonist Rainwood and any other Percival, he’d gladly betray the former in a game of close contact.
“Hope this is alright,” he muttered, unsure about the words’ true recipient. He put his lips against Gray’s cheek without much internal or external fanfare, tentative only for the fact that members of Snape Dormitory weren’t exactly famous for being touchy-feely types. Still, they’d both signed up for the game and got grouped with a prefect, so his reaction couldn’t be that bad without repercussions, without room for rumours and discussion long after the night drew to a close, right?
To all the stars in the sky, Leonard Oaksworth prayed that he would grow into something that didn’t feel so wrong.Action: Kissing Percival Gray on the cheek

mentions @evelynn decipio, @leonard oaksworth, @june selwyn and @haven bohannonAgainst her better judgement, Ivy had secretly signed both herself and Evelynn up for pirate themed Spin the Bottle. She was hardly the kind of person who loved playing these sorts of games, but being a fourteen-year-old girl, she couldn't help but feel a little intrigued. What was the harm in Spin the Bottle during the last few nights of summer camp?
Without giving it any more thought, Ivy impulsively left her own name and listed Evelynn as her "angst card" - once again trying to brush off the strange feelings she got whenever she thought about her best friend - before leaving Evelynn's own name under the sign-ups as well. Knowing that her friend had her own not-so-secret admirer, she'd put down Marshal's name for Eve's angst card... before crossing it out. Ivy did not know why she had written her own name in the place of where Marshal Mozor was meant to go, and she could not get rid of the feeling that she'd betrayed both Evelynn and Marshal in some way by putting her down as her own angst card...
...which was ridiculous because all she'd done was sign herself up for a stupid game! Evelynn didn't belong to Marshal, and Marshal wasn't the only one who was allowed to like Evelynn! Not that Ivy liked Evelynn like that, though. Not in the same way that Marshal did. She just wanted to spend a night out with her best friend playing Spin the Bottle - friendship was more important than love! And plus, she didn't like girls romantically anyway, so Marshal had nothing to fear! And even if she did, it wasn't like she owed it to Marshal to let him have his way. But, like, she didn't have a crush on Evelynn. She totally didn't, so that didn't even matter. But even though she so very totally didn't have a crush on her best friend, she was still entitled to want to hang out with her in a kissing game!!! Right?! RIGHT?!?!?!
All this thinking was making Ivy's head hurt, and she'd almost decided to just sit it out and stay in her tent instead of going. But when the night of the event arrived, Ivy put on a pretty dress and strawberry lipgloss, and made her way over to the tent she'd been assigned. She'd gotten herself into this mess and dragged Evelynn into it, so she couldn't exactly back out now. And Marshal had ended up in their tent anyway, even with Ivy "betraying" him. Now as long as Evelynn and Marshal didn't spin the bottle towards each other, it would all be fine--- wait, why did she even care? It was probably just because it'd be weird watching two of her friends kiss.
When it was her turn to twirl the flagon, Ivy held her breath as she watched the bottle spin. Who would it land on, she wondered? She observed the room, noting down all the faces. They were all pretty good-looking, especially Evelynn, so should they go in for a kiss, it wouldn't be too torturous. She could always go in for a hug as well, she realised, although the prideful part of her cringed a little at publicly backing down from a challenge. Ivy vaguely wondered if kissing a girl felt different from kissing a boy. Like, at the end of the day, it was all just lips, wasn't it? The whole fireworks thing that the movies did whenever the main characters kissed was only because of love, and this was just a silly little high school game. Nope, no love involved here. Except for... Evelynn. Well, that was different. That was, like, platonic love. And also with Leo, June and Haven - no, that wasn't right. Somehow Ivy felt certain that the affection she felt for Evelynn was very different to how she felt about her other friendships - but maybe that was because out of all of her friends here at Hogwarts, she'd been friends with Evelynn for longer.
The sound of giggles drew her attention away from her weird feelings and back to the real world, and Ivy noted that the bottle had stopped... AND WAS POINTING DIRECTLY AT MARSHAL.
Good heavens, karma was really out to get her, wasn't it? Of course, it had to be Marshal, who was the only guy in here with a crush (that she knew of). The excitement of the evening fell away, and as Ivy walked to the centre of the circle, she realised that she had no idea what to do. Marshal wasn't bad-looking - in fact, one might even say that he was kind of hot. Under different circumstances, Ivy would have just grabbed his face and got it done and over with. But her conscience held her back. She didn't want to kiss someone who so clearly had his eye on another girl - even if that girl was Ivy's best freaking friend. Like, the whole point of the game was meaningless and silly kisses for the sake of fun, but this was different somehow. Even if Evelynn was totally oblivious to Marshal's crush on her, Ivy couldn't be the one to ruin his chances before he even had the opportunity to confess. No girl saw their boy best friend kiss someone else in Spin the Bottle and thought "hey, that is great boyfriend material and I should give him a chance if he ever crushes on me". There was a possibility that a kiss from another pretty girl wouldn't rattle Marshal's chances at all, but Ivy didn't want to take that chance. Better to be safe than sorry in this case.
Putting on a bright smile, she winked at him before turning to the rest of the group to ask a question. "This is not against the rules, right?" Ivy turned back to kiss him lightly on the cheek before going in for a hug.action: attempting to hug marshal

When she had made the decision to come to summer camp, she had intended to do as many things as she could, make as many new friends as she could, and have an overall great time. That was why she had signed herself up for ‘twirl the flagon.’ As she arrived and took a seat in the group, Olive happily noted that Miles was in her group. Having at least one familiar face would make it nice, and she secretly hoped when it was her turn, her spin would land on Miles.
However, when an unfamiliar Hogwarts girl took her turn, she landed on Miles. Olive felt a twinge of jealously as the girl went to kiss him. Why couldn’t that be me? she thought. Stupid Gryffindor. She was surprised at the slight anger in her thoughts. Maybe she cared more for him than she had thought.
She was forced back to reality when the bottle landed on her. Startled, she glanced up to see the boy she had played Truth or Dare with just a few days ago. He had seemed nice enough at least, and at least it wasn’t someone she knew from her own school. He began speaking, switching from his native language to English and back again. While Olive didn’t speak Portuguese, she understood enough of what he was saying.
“Olive,” she provided for him. He seemed to be giving her the choice of the three options. While the girl wanted her first kiss to be special, it was simply a game, and if he didn’t kiss her, chances were someone else in the group would. “Well it’s only a game, right? Kiss me if you wish.”

As ignorant as he was of romance and anything to do with it, Jack had never played 'Spin the Bottle' before, much less 'Twirl the Flagon'. He didn't even know what the games consisted of. If he had, he likely would have never signed himself up. It wasn't like Jack was any stranger to hugs and kisses, but that didn't mean he liked them.
Going up to the gazebo-like structures, the boy was in an optimistic-enough mood, eager to learn the rules of this game he knew nothing about. As the game started and his fellow students began to play, however, the Welsh teen's face started to heat up and redden. He hadn't realized it was going to be like this. What on Earth was he supposed to do if the flagon landed on him? He wasn't too keen on being the twirler, either, however. Was it too late to back out of the game?
But no, this was stupid. He was getting all flustered for nothing. Hadn't he been the one to kiss a fellow student on the cheek to avoid getting a beat-down by Rafael D'Spacito in first year? And hadn't he tricked Draven Mirador earlier that year in February into kissing him at the Valentine's Day Tea Party? Surely a kiss meant little and a hug even less. Taking a deep breath, Jack criss-crossed his legs atop his cushion in the sand and tried not to feel too anxious about everyone's behavior as the game continued and he watched.
Even just watching felt weird.

Twirl the Flagon — Group 4
@Cassandra Ironwoods as Ronnie @Simon Kincaid as Miles@Henry Knight as CharlesTogether with Charles, Haley went to another activity she had signed up for this year, just like the previous one. This time only with less danger of the whole thing ending in chaos and a fight. The advantage this year was that she was not in a relationship with anyone and so there could be no arguments because the other person was kissing someone else. But that had been a year ago by now and it wasn't worth worrying about it again. Luckily for her, she had Charles by her side, making her laugh all the way.
"You shouldn't underestimate me!" she admonished Charles with a laugh. "I train hard!" and she really did. Haley hadn't just discovered the sport of Quidditch for herself, because after what had happened and then after the break up with Simon, she had escaped in sport and had built up quite a bit of strength. She looked at him seriously as she lifted her arm and tensed her biceps, molding them slightly. She quickly started laughing again, of course she wouldn't stand a chance against Charles.
Haley marvelled at the location as she was brought out of her thoughts. "Mm?" She looked questioningly at Charles. "Oh kissing someone in particular." She laughed and winked at him. "Weeell, yes. There's that American. But there's also Ronnie." She said with a raised corner of her mouth as she looked and smiled at him once again. But not only had Haley spotted Ronnie, so had Charles. The situation was too funny not to laugh. "Not important. I think we both have our eye on someone." Again she winked at him before sitting down in one of the empty seats.
She watched all the action, to her surprise there were two boys present at once, with whom she wouldn't turn down a kiss. But the evening started with someone else wanting to kiss one of them. Haley watched her Quidditch captain kneel in front of Miles and take his head between her hands. She wouldn't admit it, but she didn't like the sight of it. She knew it was silly and she had no right to do it, but somehow she hoped Miles would refuse the kiss.
It wasn't long before it was Charles' turn, she could see some disappointment on his face, probably the same disappointment that had been on Haley's face a moment ago. Before he stood up she nudged him in the side and whispered softly to him "No worries, we still have a few rounds to go."
As the bottle of Zykeal will land on Haley, she will accept a hug.

Twirl the Flagon — Group 4

Miles Thatcher, accepting his fate
Miles had heard last moment that he was signed up for this. While his entire tent had signed up for a Prank Wars against another, it seemed Bubby McGarry, of his own tent and a Hogwarts student, had caught on to Miles's prank on signing him up for this game. Turn about was fair play, isn't that what he said? So Miles entered and was surprised to see Olive Adair there and gave her a curious look before sitting down.
Haley would arrive later on with her bloke of a friend to add to the interesting mix that made up this particular session of the game.
Miles had heard of the game before. Some things carried over into childhood whether you were a nomaj or a wizard and this was one often played by some of the older kids at various pureblood functions he had been to in the past. Now here he was the one participating.
The game started, and the first one to spin the bottle - or in this case - twirl the flagon was a redheaded girl from Hogwarts. To Miles's surprise, it began to slow to it's stop about two to three people away and finally stopped as it pointed directly to him. He was curious.
He didn't know this girl so even as she began to walk up to him rather confidently he figured she'd just offer out a hug or a handshake or something, but no. She brought his face into her hands and kissed him directly on the lips. Miles initiated the kiss back just enough that it showed he was up for the current momentary challenge, but not so much he'd be taken for a creep.
Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)
