Dior Verdoux - 1st Year - Gryffindor

Dior has pale soft skin making him look quite ghostly at first appearance, his natural black and white hair only accentuating the fact. His hair in the front is mostly a light blond and white fading into a dirty brown and reaching black as it meets the back of his head. Eyes a rich dark green a stark contrast usually drawing quick attention to itself.

Dior's rather quiet when he meets new people. Never having really interacted with too many people his age, he finds it difficult to level with others. He wishes he was more outgoing and does want to make progress in that aspect of his life now that he's at Hogwarts.

Contrasting his timid and shy demeanor, Dior is a rather curious kid and quite often gets into some trouble. He can very easily get caught up in a string of thoughts and jump into things recklessly without thinking about the consequences until after. Though being kind and a people pleaser Dior would usually give himself in depending on the severity of the broken rule.

Dior can speak three languages thanks to his upbringing: English, French, and Spanish (Spain Spanish); He doesn't have a strong accent considering he did grow up in England, but he can't help it if some of his words come out a little off since both of his parents have french accents.
Dior is also quite talented at drawing usually finding time out of most days to at least draw a sketch or two to practice his skills.
A hobby of his is that he likes to collect whatever little bobbles that catch his eye. They don't have to be anything special or peculiar, as long as he thinks they look nice he'll pocket them and put them away.

• Bugs Hates the feeling of them on him; he'll think they're crawling on his for days

• Angry people | He doesn't really know how to handle the situation if someone was upset with him
• Sad people| He would like to help but, he'd feel mostly uncomfortable and confused unsure of himself and his actions
• Rude and mean people| Doesn't like it when he sees others being treated badly and wouldn't want to see himself in that position either

Youngest son of the French Pureblood family, Verdoux, Dior was born to Henri Verdoux and Enora Verdoux nee Blanchet. Dior was the youngest of three: Ronan Verdoux age 24 and Jean Verdoux age 22. In truth, his parents were done having children after Jean it's just that no one had expected Enora to get pregnant 11 years later with all the preventative measures they took. At first, his parents were quite panicked when they found out Enora was pregnant but then she calmed down taking it as some sort of miracle, and convinced Henri to keep it.

For the first few years after Dior was born his parents were both attentive and were there for him at all times. But as the years went on, the stress of a baby after having gone through 13+ years of raising 2 wild boys wore on them. By the age of 4 Dior began to see his parents less and less and was left in the care of his nanny, Miss Mara. In truth, Miss Mara was actually a distant cousin of his who had come to live with his family since she had been practically kicked out of hers for being a squib.

To Dior, Miss Mara was more of a mother than his actual mother. See, both of Dior's parents were originally from France. They both graduated from Beauxbatons and traveled around the world before they met in England falling in love and deciding to settle down. The two of them had figured that they spent so much time raising Ronan and Jean that it was only fair they could live their lives again, besides Dior had Mara he'd be alright.

When he was younger he didn't notice that his parents were being neglectful, he felt happy seeing them every once in a while and playing with Miss Mara the rest of the time. But as he grew older he started realizing how much closer it seemed the rest of his family was compared to him. His brothers and parents all got along great, making jokes and laughing with each other. Dior just couldn't help but feel that there was a division, he was closer to Miss Mara, an outsider, than he was to his own family.

He did try to get closer with the rest of his family, but his brothers were too old for them to actually play together and his parents always pushed him onto Mara whenever they didn't feel like having him around. This depressed Dior for some time but Mara was always there to cheer him right back up, she had even taught him Spanish after Dior expressed that he feels like the two of them were like family.

Mara had brought about many of Dior's personality traits considering he was with her practically every day. He developed a love for drawing after seeing her art, her love for cute things, and her fear of things bigger than her. He modeled himself after his favorite person, loving her for always being there for him. He had even promised her to become really popular and make lots of friends in school when she and his family sent him off to Hogwarts.

It was the first of many times Dior's parents decided to take a trip away from home. Dior was 5 at the time and cried himself to sleep. In the morning, Miss Mara woke him only to find he had a red, stuffy, and itchy nose. Young Dior sneezed loudly causing a huge shock sending Mara flying as well as many of the items in the room floating in the air.
