ReducioBefore Cassius arrived at Hogwarts if his parents weren't hosting or visiting boring pureblood parties the boy more often than not spent his time alone wandering the Myrtle estate. Either sulking around the library when it was too wet to play or running around the small forest surrounding his home. The latter was Cassius's favorite any time of day. Rain or Shine. He loved exploring, drawing the creatures he found, and chasing them around until a servant or his mother rushed him home to get cleaned up. As he got older however Cassius realized his parent's notable change. Especially in his father. Around when Cassius was eight or so his father became stricter about running around the estate. He was forced to sit with a private tutor and be coached in languages, basic magical as well as his family's history, and above all else proper pureblood 'etiquette'.
It was also around this time he also got his first instance of magic while sneaking away from his usual lessons, ironically enough when his father was away from the estate for a work trip.
Cassius's first instance of Magic was quite late for pureblood standards. Especially for his father's standards. He had only been nine years old for about a week, and on one overcast spring day he decided he wanted to quietly gaze at a group of frogs instead of his long lessons. Small Cassius found it extremely entertaining to mimic the small frog jumps and silly noises that day. He found their jumping specifically so fun that without even realizing it Cassius ended up jumping above a group of treetops around him. His mother was the one who had come to find him after he missed his first lesson when she saw what her son had been up to all morning.Lycanthropy
ReducioFor the child of two purebloods, Cassius was an extremely mischievous boy. At least in the eyes of his parents. He enjoyed being alone and often quietly disappeared into the forest surrounding his home to simply play during the many parties his parents threw at the Myrtle Estate. His sister Simone was more or less the opposite. She enjoyed the parties no more than Cassius however she saw it as a duty, a chore that had to be completed. One specific night, on a full moon in July. Curtis and Olivia Myrtle threw one of their well-known adult-wizard-only parties. No children, including Cassius and Simone by specific order of their mother, Olivia Myrtle.
Olivia was a retired Auror, only leaving her position after having Cassius's older brother Emmet seven years prior. She knew and understood the dangers of the full moon and werewolves, however, the Myrtle twins themselves were happy, sheltered children. They knew nothing of the idea of true fear and pain. Right now they saw themselves as explorers, and the Estate was the new world.
Cassius and Simone crept down their home's old stairs quietly, they knew their parents and other guests were in the ballroom so instead of going out the main door Simone took the lead as they sneaked through the servant quarters and eventually found their way outside the large home. On a usual night, it would have been dark. But tonight the full moon lit up the sky in its eerily beautiful silver light. To the twins, it couldn't have been more perfect. They giggled and ran around the grounds until they decided to play a game of hide and seek around their favorite rippling stream.
The first and would-be-final round began with Cassius being 'it'. He counted slowly and quietly with his back to a towering maple tree. "I'm coming for you Simmy!!" He shouted out to his sister, giggling. The sound of crushing leaves could be heard with each step Cassius made trying to find his sister. That's when he heard it. A piercing howl coming deep within the forest. Cassius could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He didn't know what kind of animal could make that horrifying sound. Was it some kind of trick?
"Simone?" He tried to call out. "I think we should go back now," Cassius faltered. The hairs on the back of his neck were sticking up now. He could hear the crunch, crunch, crunch. of leaves and sticks getting closer. Cassius was completely vulnerable, out in the open. He didn't know how far his sister had gone to hide, and Cassius knew for a fact his parents were much to far away to find him. As far as they knew he was peacefully asleep. While the young boy was occupied and practically frozen in fear the werewolf he heard pounced. Oh, how he wished he was asleep in his bed now.
Cassius was a slim boy. He didn't stand a chance against the wolf. All he could do was scream and pray and wish he was anywhere but there. While trying to wiggle and struggle out of the wolf's grasp the beast's sharp claws scratched right through his clothes and into his torso. That's when the wolf sunk its teeth into his shoulder. At the same time, Simone heard her brother's screams and panicked. She ran and ran as quick as her legs could carry her back to their home and brought the fearful Myrtle parents and guests back to where she heard the scream.
The wolf had gone by now. Simone thought perhaps a skinny boy such as Cassius did not make the best attempt at a meal. Her brother was still there, laying unconscious, bleeding from his wounds and his parents rushed him to St. Mungo's as fast as they could. Alas, nevertheless I think we all know what happened after this. Cassius became a victim of the curse of lycanthropy. After the bite, he was never quite the same, and neither was his sister. Currently, Cassius thinks of his curse as a dirty secret and would do most anything to keep it between him and his family only.

Cassius loves frogs. He just thinks they're intriguing little guys. One day while taking a stroll on the grounds he strikes up a conversation with a muggle-born student and the conversation lands on frogs. Eventually, during the conversation, he's introduced to what the hell a Kermit is.
ReducioSecond Year, (takes place this summer) human character, maybe with monster-hunter ability but not at all mandatory. Any house. This is also a big commitment between both characters. Please don't quit on me mid-way and neither will I!
A classmate is already suspicious of Cash's behavior leading up to the full moon. For a great student he suddenly acts tired and sullen, not acting his open-extroverted self.
During this summer the student pretends to be his friend and end up asking Cassius odd but not exactly obvious questions. This would be a few threads long, maybe 4 (one in ic May/June in the library or something) + (one where they meet during the summer again) + (one where your pc tells another student their suspicions)+(a final thread where Cash being a werewolf becomes and full-fledged rumour in September and he confronts you about the whole shabang)

A student finds Cassius studying, either in the Slytherin common room or the library. They talk about regular old magic books until the conversation shifts to muggle books like Little Women, Wizard of Oz, and The Great Gatsby. Then the conversation shifts again when the student starts to talk about the movie adaptations of these books and Cassius is undeniably intrigued. This is another part of building up to Cassius losing his negative view of muggles. Also, I kinda want him to nickname someone something related to one of these movies. Just for laughs.

It's just after the stress of the sorting ceremony. Cassius doesn't know how to feel about being in Slytherin. Perhaps a fellow first-year or even an old-timer snake sees him alone in the common room and sympathizes with him, makes him feel welcome.

A pureblood student that Cassius knows and is acquainted with from numerous gatherings finds his somewhere around Hogwarts and they start to chat. It begins normal enough until the student brings up all the muggle-born students around Hogwarts as if they are a nuisance to life. Cassius is unsure how to feel. Before his first year, he would have agreed wholeheartedly. However, now he is conflicted. He doesn't say anything in disagreement to the student because he looks up to them so much but it continues his questioning of the views his parents taught him.

Cassius and another student are both having a horrid day. Or maybe just one of them is. Either way one of the two decides to go into the abandoned lavatory and locks themself in a stall. The other can either just walk in and hear them crying in the stall or also be crying in the stall next to them. The two end up bonding and talking about random things and hopefully feel much better at the end of it. If you want they could stay anonymous afterward or actually introduce themselves to one another.
ReducioWerewolf student, same year as Cassius, any house. Takes place first year. Cassius befriends a classmate in his Defence against the dark arts class and they start to discuss the future curriculum of their favorite class
Then the subject gets on werewolves and both become extremely awkward as each think the other is suspicious of their secret. Depending on what you want it could be a more humorous thread where both are extremely nervous while also acting extremely suspicious to the other. After this thread the relationshipcould expand to them eventually becoming friends and actually telling each other they're werewolves.
