Everyone thought Slytherin was the dirty team of the school. They were not ashamed to implement some questionable move sets into their plays, taking high risk, high reward situations to the max even if it did get their hands a bit dirty and a reputation of aggression. However, if the students were actually paying attention during the games, they would see the team who truly played dirty. Slytherin was not that team. Indeed, it was Gryffindor. They were brutal, relentless, and hide their deceit and dirty tricks amid other moves like cowards. She had to admit it was a good tactic, however obnoxiously frustrating it might be in the end.

Percival's eyes widened as he watched Cash get hit harshly by the bludger. How jaw clenched as he gripped onto his broom a bit tighter. Beaters always seemed to get the short end of the stick. Always a target. The game had barely started and he was already being put in. He would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy the chance to play, but the reasoning made him swallow a bit thickly. Percival would stand up mounting his broom giving a cold glare towards Chen. "Have fun on the bench Chen!" He would call rudely before taking off.

Erin was still flying by some terrible and cruel miracle. The Slytherin beater was tasked with one target -- Gris. Griseldis Edelhardt was a Gryffindor Prefect, little miss perfect Prefect. She did not regret her duty in the least, an undeniable envy and spite left the part-Veela's bones brittle. The battered Prefect was playing with borrowed time, sharing a broom with Akari Kato. A relative unknown to Erin Ryan, no loss or gain in her destruction was her dark reasoning.

When the lead ball whizzed by her, she would swing her bat with both hands. A thunderous *crack* would herald her assault as the bludger shot towards the driver of the shared broom, Akari Kato. The Gryffindor's reward for her bravery was pain as the bludger struck the girl without mercy or regret and her grip on her broom was relinquished. She would fall, fodder for a bloody war machine. Her sacrifice only partially in vain as Haley Rose, another relative unknown and convenient victim would suffer the bludger's ricochet. Erin had no way of anticipating the save in truth, she merely banked the shot off Akari for the nearest member of the pride.

No sooner had Haley caught Griseldis on her broom, she would take the full force of Erin's bludger. Again, Griseldis would fall, taking with her yet another lion, her presence truly the kiss of death for her peers. She would grip her abraded knuckles tightly around the shaft of her broom in anticipation of the Prefect's final descent, yet another sacrifice would capture Griseldis before she landed on the pitch. "Bloody hell," Erin would complain. Simon Corbin this time. another unknown, another future victim for the machine.

Gris was unbelievably fortuitous one could say. She also was annoyingly still conscious in spite of the beating she had taken. A bludger would shoot on by and would find itself propelled by the girl's bat. The bludger was remarkably accurate and there was little the already bruised and exhausted Erin could so besides try to evade. She was not agile enough. The bludger would hit her hard, a sudden sharp pain and the loss of breath. The pitch would spin and she would lose her already failing grip and plummet towards the ground. A fate she was all too familiar with, she had resigned herself to what came next. The sudden termination of movement, the wave of pain and then the swath of nothingness that would come over her like a black curtain.

Only, she seemed to share some of Griseldis' fortune. She would land on the broom of a fellow teammate. Not a particularly pleasant or gentle landing but a landing all the same. She was caught by Maggie, not that she would casually know the name of her savior. She had no time to feel relief or to offer grateful platitudes as she let out a "fucking OW." She was going to be painted black and blue by the end of this game. "They are probably going to end me sooner than later," she warned. Her alluring visage would only help them so much. "Get me to my broom and get away from me," she warned. They were not going to be an easy target, Erin scooted back on the broom and took a look at the opposition. They were regrouping. Hell. Her hands would reach for the rear of the shaft near the bristles, she was pretty evasive [Evasive Maneuvers] so she would have to simply hope she had the power and skill to prevent calamity until they parted company.

"It's down there!"

The game was so tense, it was possible to cut the tension in the air with a knife. Evelynn had grabbed the Quaffle and gained 20 further points for the team- a fact that Pax cheerd for loudly when she had succeeded.

They winced a bludger crashed into Marshal, but yelled out support to him as he managed to stay strong on his broom. "You've got this! Go Marshal!" This hopefully proved effective as that bludger was sent crashing back into Cash, who hurtled to the ground. "YES MARSHAL!"

A yelp was let out when Erin (damn her and her incredible beater skills) sent a bludger flying towards both Akari and Gris, succeeding in what was probably her aim to send them tumbling to the ground. With her (damn good) aim, Erin's bludger alo ricocheted and hit Haley as she flew round to catch Gris, resulting in them both falling still. However, luckily enough, Simon was there for Gris. This match had turned into a game of Pass- the- Gris by this point. Somehow, the beater still mustered up the strength to send a final blow at Erin, knocking her off her broom. They wished to see her hit the ground, but to Pax's unfortunate luck, she was caught.

As Haley and Akari tumbled to the ground, Pax wanted nothing more than to run out and check on them, but they knew that was impossible. So, instead, they turned to AJ and Zara on the bench. "You guys are up," they said. "Remember what we've talked about in practice. Stay focused, remember your strategy. And most importantly, try to have fun out there. It'll reflect in your playing."

They applauded and cheered as Zara and AJ flew up into the air, but there was a small nugget of doubt creeping into their brain. With an anxious glance at Evelynn, they hoped that their concerns weren't obvious. But right now, they were not in a good position. Most of their hopes pinned on Evelynn.

As Cash fly and whizzing about on the sky of the Quidditch Pitch, from the distance they saw Tyranni returned Lisa to her broom. Cash smiled at that. Their green eyes counted the heads of their teammates. So far, all are counted for. And when the Cuban descent eyes zeroed in on the metal ball of death, they leaned forward to make their broom accelerate faster.

When Cash fly parallelly with the Bludger, they swing their bat. The wooden material of their bat contacted with the iron ball and with a sounderous Whack! the bat meets the ball. The little cannon ball flew in the opposite direction and not long before that, they saw the bludger make contact with the side of Mozor.

Cash can not help but let out a wince when the hard ball connected with the opposing player. Do they feel sorry for Mozor? absolutely not. But Cash knows how it feels when you feel like your side burning up and the wind was knocked out from your lungs. The third-year almost let out a smile of triumph when they saw Mozor's grip almost faltered but that did not happen.

On the other side of the pitch, Erin definitely out for blood. The trajectory of her aim was true. She hits both Akari and Griseldis who were sharing a broom. With that much power, both the lions had no chance to avoid Erin's attack. Both Akari and Gris fell out of their shared broom. While Akari fell out of the sky, Griseldis was caught by Haley.

But the bludger that earlier had been hit by Erin, ricocheted to Haley and thus Haley met the same fate as Akari. Griseldis also fell for the second time but it seems Griseldis was like a cat who got nine live. or perhaps lady luck was on her side today as she was caught again by Corbin. "Why do not you die already?"Cash grumbled to no one in particular in Spanish.

Perhaps Cash should have gotten their head in the game. If they got their head in the game, they could be anticipated and evade the bludger attack that was whacked by Mozor from down under. But alas, Cash did not have that kind of privilege as the metal ball of death contacted them hard from below.

Before Cash could react, they can feel they were free falling. The last thing they saw as they free-falling from such heights is the drowned cheers of the spectator and how the sky was clear that day. And then their vision turned black as they were engulfed with their unconciousness.

Elena was truly beginning to understand why these games could pick up in ther intensity as her feelings of anxiety and worry were visible in her features watching the players in the air duke it out. The familiar crack of wood against iron were the ones she looked out for as the lions and snakes battled it out and no one was holding back. Their Seeker managed to secure a rather impressive twenty points, something she was sure had to irk the Slytherins but as for how they'd take it, they made their reaction pretty clear. A few Bludgers later, the brunette realized that two scarlet and gold specks were falling and as they drew close, the brunette's eyes widened as she recognized Haley.

"Haley!" Elena said rather suddenly out of concern for her friend watching as the Gryffindor hit the ground wincing, that had looked like a particular nasty fall and for a moment, the girl was seized by a sudden desire to run over and check on her friend, a flash of genuine concern across her face as she stood from the bench silently praying for the girl to move a muscle or anything really. The snakes might not be expert scores but they certainly knew their way around a bat.

Koko hated feeling useless during Quidditch. It was wrong to be stationary in the air, the wind barely moving around her, so she knew she had to do something when the rest of her teammates were all doing their jobs.

The opening was there, after all - Gryffindor’s goals were unguarded. The Quaffle seemed to be hers for the taking, too, sitting there while all of the chasers ignored it. Koko swerved towards it, arms outstretched and a small grin forming on her lips.

The grin faded when she grasped at air. She spun around to see Evelynn - a Seeker - dump the Quaffle through Slytherin’s goals.

The resounding ding coming after was enough to ball Koko’s hands into fists, and she would blame her next miss on the blinding side of anger rather than the fact that Evelynn would make a better Chaser than she would.

By the third try, either her rage was enough fuel, or she was just terrified of failing again. Any motivation worked. The moment Koko felt her hands close around real, tangible leather, she laughed and sped towards the Gryffindors’ goal before tossing it in. She grinned and watched the rest of the team, painfully oblivious to the bloody showdown between the beaters.

She kept her eyes on Dan, always watching the captain, although when the loud cracks still coming from the beaters’ bats resounded, she flinched every time. When she finally glanced towards the source of the noise, she cringed as she saw Cassandra knocked off her broom and Erin falling - but more Gryffindors sharing the same fate. What was the cost for two - well, one, Koko conceded when Maggie caught Erin - of their own?

Between Draven's short responses, and Percival's inability to not say something rude for more than a few minutes, the mood on the bench was not exactly at its cheeriest. They had all been slathered in smelly something, which seemed to create an atmosphere of grumpiness. A shame for such a nice day.

Flash would normally be interested in raising his teammates' spirits, but he simply did not have the energy for it. He would remain quiet and tired, leaning on to his broom for support. The thought crossed his mind again whether he was selfish for continuing the sport despite the difficulty keeping up, but it would mean the loss of one of his only joys in life.

Speaking of joy, Flash was happy to see the lions begin to fall. Less happy was the two beaters falling themselves, as it quickly seemed like they were the #1 targets. Likely any Gryffindors who had not heard about their recent purchase of three Firebolts likely knew about it now, and wanted the sleek brooms out of commission.

Ivy was trying to stay focused on doing her penalty lap as quickly as possible, but it was hard to ignore the ongoing chaos around her. Quidditch matches were brutal, man. She frowned as she watched two of her teammates fall to the ground, and glanced quickly over at the second string players on the bench, before looking up at the scoreboard to check on how they were doing. Not too bad, they were pulling ahead at a steady rate - for now, at the very least. Ivy returned her focus to finishing her lap as quickly as possible so she could get back to helping her teammates secure a victory for Gryffindor.
