Percival frown had not lightened at all as he sat on the bench. The boy's gaze drifted down the bench to see Avery staring him down with a vengeance. It finally seemed like the daft boy understood his place. The boy gave the other a nasty grin before turning to look back at the game. It was hilarious that the other would even think that he was worthy enough to breathe the same air as him. The boy let out a small chuckle before turning to glance at Draven. The boy was new to the team and in that manner seemed like a good enough target to release some steam. "What position are you even supposed to be?" his tone rude and haughty.

Cash still try not to gagged at the foul smell of dead fish that stuck on their uniform and the air around them. They have a match that needed their full attention. Once Headmaster Plott released the Bludger, Quaffle, and the Snitch, the game is on. A ding had been heard throughout the Pitch indicating that their team manage to score a point.

But it seems Gryffindor will not go down without a fight since they not only goal it once but twice. From where they were situated, the green eyes gritted their jaw. They know the last game is crucial and both teams will give their best to beat the opposing player and become the winner in this match. The third year let out a laugh when they heard the little comment Headmaster Plott sent toward Mozor.

Erin's athletism always mesmerized the Cuban descendant. Although Headmaster Plott is a bit annoying for their taste, they got to admit that Ilvermorny's Headmaster had some funny bone in him. And when their eyes seized the metal ball of death, they spring into action. "Here we go!,"Cash said as they leaned a bit forward to make their broom accelerate faster.

Once Cash fly close enough near the death trap, the young socialite swung with all their might and the cannonball soared through the air hitting its intended target. Cash heard that Griseldis is one tough cookie and hard to knock down in one swoop. Even though their backbeat managed to knock the Gryffindor Prefect off of her broom, it was not enough to send her flying down to the earth.

Then just like the well oil machine that she is, Erin swung her bat with that mighty power of hers and managed to push Gris out of her broom but to both of the Beaters' dismay, their first-string Keeper catch her before Gris' foot could even touch the ground. "Darn it!,"They grumbled to themselves.

What they did not anticipate was how the bludger ricocheted to the newest addition to the Chasers roster, Lisa Alistair. The first year Chaser not only once but twice caught the brunt of both Cash and Erin's ricochets of a bludger. "Watch out!,"They shouted but it seems their cry of warning was drowned by the cheering that filled the Quidditch Pitch.

That was not supposed to happen but luckily Tyranni was there to catch Lisa. Cash let out a breath and make sure the next time they swing their bat, it will reserved for Gryffindor and not their own team mate.

Pax grinned as they watched the action in air, seeing Simon snatch the Quaffle twice and score. "Woo! Go Simon!" They cheered. Considering he was new to the team like them, he'd done really well already to prove himself.

They sent a glare towards Plott, who was still managing to screw up the commentary for this game. God, they hoped he'd never commentate a match of theirs again.

Turning to the beaters, they called out support to Marshal, who had unfortunately missed his first attempt towards Erin. "Ignore Plott! You're doing great!" Not long after, when Gris sent abludger hurtling towards Erin that connected with her head, they grinned. "Woo! Go Gris!"

Team morale, they believed, was incredibly important in a sport like this.

Though their words may have come a little too late as both of Slytherin's bludgers connected with Gris and she started to fall off her broom. Pax's heart began to beat even faster. Would they need to play? Luckily, Akari managed to soar round and catch the falling girl.

Meanwhile, Ivy had launched herself towards Koko, attempting to blatch, but narrowly missing. "Bad luck Ivy! Don't worry!"

Sending another fleeting glare at Plott, who had made some snide comment, they settled back down on the bench. This game was incredibly tense. But, they could win this. No, they would win this.

Wow, what a great start. Ivy swore softly under her breath as she only just missed the Slytherin player she'd been trying to blatch, glancing over her shoulder almost immediately to check if she'd been caught. Plott's loud hey! would startle her, obvious by the way she jumped, although she would regain her composure quickly enough to sigh and roll her eyes at him as she started her penalty lap. Her jaw dropped at his snide comment about her house, which was broadcasted loudly to all the spectators. "Damn you, Plott," she muttered under her breath. Ivy was flying her penalty lap as fast as she could, but she felt like it was dragging on forever. Who knew that a simple lap around the pitch could take so long?

Doing as strategized

Elena almost resisted the urge to laugh out loud as the co-captain addressed her lost in the assumption that the brunette-haired Gryffindor next to him had a handle on anything bombarding her with questions, the girl watching the players flick about as she listened deciding to go for a small chuckle shaking her head before looking at him. "This is like my second game so I'm still very much the rookie here, most of those snakes could probably fly circles around me."

In truth, Elena was perfectly content with being on the bench putting her faith in Evelynn not to get demolished by a rogue Bludger or something else but the chance was always there wincing as Plott's voice continued to commentate and the Gryffindor had half a mind to cast a Silencing Charm his way deciding to give Pax a few pointers, odd given he was the co-captain and she thought the roles should be reversed really.

"I like it this way, honestly. People don't pay attention to the bench players as much but once you go up on that pitch, everything you do matters but ya know, I wouldn't mind it but at least we get first-class seats." The girl said grinning gesturing at the bench as they watched their team battle it out with the snakes.

With the sound of the whistle, Evelynn was off. Like the epicentre of an explosion, the circle of players scattered, each focusing in on their own call to action, pursuing the goal dictating their actions. The Gryffindor captain's would always be the same: find and capture the snitch. With the outcome of the previous game, the strategy of their own was clear (ICly anyway... this author still has no idea, but that's beside the point). They needed to make sure Slytherin didn't win this game, which meant she needed to catch the snitch as quickly as possible and have her teammates earn whatever goals they could in that time.

With that in mind, her full attention was devoted to the finding of the usually elusive little ball. How wonderful it was to have a co-captain that would actually support her endeavours and pull their weight with the team. Already she could hear Zhang's voice calling out encouragement in those spaces between announcements. Admittedly, if there was one thing that Evelynn lacked in her leadership role, it was boldly projecting words of affirmation. Fortunately, that's where Zhang was already shining. They would likely never know the depth of Evelynn's gratitude in that moment. Trusting the morale well-being of her team to them, she was free to focus.

One lap around the pitch, she raced at top speeds to avoid the expectant bludgers that would come her way. She was almost always a first target for the other teams, a fact that had left her habitually flying for her life right from the commencement of the match. It wouldn't take long for her to realize that she wasn't to be their focus, however. Edelhardt had earned that honour, it seemed. One for which Evelynn couldn't blame the Slytherin team. The tenured fifth year was their greatest offensive asset. Without her, the Gryffindor team would be reduced to a pride of kittens. That reality only spurred the seeker on, and the lack of interference gave her the freedom to do so.

Like a banshee on the wind, she flitted in and out of the action, passing teammates and opponents alike in her effort to cover as much ground as possible. Three goals would be called, two for the lions, one for the snakes. Not a bad start, but she might have preferred to deny them any points at all. Still, at least it wasn't 0-30 for the snakes. Of course, points were one thing, but an intact team was needed to keep them. Not even Slytherin's ill luck of ricocheting bludgers dismounting their own teammate would off-set the creep of dread that appeared with the announcement of Edelhardt's knocking. A quick sweep of the pitch was performed in that moment to ensure she knew exactly where her own team rested: one on penalty, two doubled up, leaving five effective bodies for the—

A flutter of gold caught her eye, and she snapped that train of thought in favour of the welcome distraction. Let Zhang direct the team from the safety of the bench where they were able to keep eyes on the entire game all at once. The arrival of the snitch was all that mattered to Evelynn in that moment. It was too early to count her blessings given that bludger or body could unseat her in a fraction of a second with any lapse of vigilance. But neither did she want to give herself away too early and let the opposing team know she was in pursuit. She would have to play her cards carefully as she closed in on the snitch.

The game began and Haley jetted off, to her first target - the quaffle. But of course it wasn't just Haley's target and while she expected to have to battle a Slytherin player, things turned out very differently. Haley had her hand on the quaffle, but it wasn't just hers. She held her grip, she would not give up. To her surprise she didn't see any of the Slytherins when she looked up but it was Simon from her own team "What the-" with eyebrows drawn together she looked at her, this wasn't supposed to happen, what were they doing right now? They were here to fight the Slytherins but not themselves.

This all happened in a matter of seconds and before Haley even realised what was going on, she had already won the Quaffle for herself, flying a tight turn and to the unprotected loops. One powerful throw and the quaffle was in. 10 points for Gryffindor. But shortly after the Lions took the lead, the Slytherins had already caught up, but Simon did the same. This time without any competition from her own team, she grabbed the Quaffle and scored another 10 points for Gryffindor. "Good job!" exclaimed Haley, hovering in the air for a moment until she leaned forward again in her broom and continued to focus on the game and her next task.

It was time to light some fire under the Slytherins' broom. It was time to win a game, this game, and it was time to let the lions in them out.

When they're against the Slytherin team, their first main target as Beaters wasn't really the rival team's Seeker but their most notorious and powerful Beater, Erin. Even today, she still has shivers from the painful attacks she had in the past from her in most of the Quidditch matches. Griseldis wouldn't blame them for targeting her though because she is a "threat" to them as well with her own strength. "Come on, Marshal! We got this!", Griseldis said to her new Beater partner. Let's hope with their new partnership can still rock this game together!

Soaring together with her partner, they were quick to find their target. Marshal first tried to send a bludger at Erin but sadly missed, and now it was her turn and this time, Her accuracy training paid off and was able to land a critical hit at Erin! However, it wasn't strong enough to knock her off the broom. Well, it was better than missing it, just one more bludger......

Feeling a sudden chill from behind, Griseldis turned her head around and saw Cash, another Slytherin Beater, hit a bludger towards her direction. And unfortunately, she got hit despiste trying to evade it and due to the impact, she didn't notice that on the other side, Erin recovered quickly and mercilessly sent another bludger at her! Ah! I should have paid more attention to my surroundings!! Griseldis did make a mistake for only focusing on one rival Beater and not noticing the other one, she thought to herself regretfully while falling from her broom.

Just when she thought her face would collide with the earth, she felt a firm grip on her arm that stopped her from falling, she quickly looked up and saw a familiar face. It was their first strong Keeper, "Akari!?", she gasped in surprise but was very relief that she got saved by her fellow teammate just in time. "Thanks for the save, Akari. I wouldn't want to get out of the game too soon. I'm in your debt." This was actually the first time for Griseldis sharing a broom with someone, if she remembered correctly, so she was a bit excited about it. Let's see how this will go!

Not more then a couple minutes after the game had started and players were already falling to their end. Out of the corner of her eye, and just in the nick of time she spotted one of their beloved beaters get knocked off her broom by a nasty shot from Slytherin. Akari wasted no time in speeding over to catch her right before she would hit the ground. There was no way she was letting that happen this soon into the game.

“Got you” She would exclaim, and in one swift motion, Griseldis would land atop Akari’s broom. The younger lion would then send her a quick grin. “Of course, we can’t have you out of the match this early now can we.” Akari would reply with a chuckle, her tone quite light hearted as she made sure they were both adjusted to this new arrangement.

“We got this!”
With a nod in agreement and with a look of determination, Akari was ready to get back to the match at hand.
