Traits: dim-witted, naïve, but overtly friendly and cheerful Likes: theatre, exercising Dislikes: reading, "Though Enya enjoys spending time with people, her upbeat attitude can annoy some people. It's more than often that people become annoyed with her- especially those with a short temper. She tries her hardest to be friendly, and enjoys trying new things. Sometimes, though, that isn't enough. Enya is incredibly strong, and very athletic. Her inept ability at reading is outmatched by her love for sports and activities that involve them. Living at home, she would lift weights and go for runs by her small house. She used to be on her school track team, before she came to Hogwarts. Despite all of this, her deepest fear is getting trapped in some deep mess that could've been avoided if she had just paid a little bit more attention. Though, these types of situations happen more often than she'd like- her own foolishness can embarrass her at times. Before she came to Hogwarts, her dream was to go to the Olympics and run for Ireland. Now that she's in Hogwarts, this dream falters quite a bit- does she want to enjoy a career in the wizarding world, or the "muggle" world?

II: History

history

Born to two muggle-born parents, in Killarney, Ireland, Enya has been well-versed in both the muggle and wizard world. Although she was not aware of her magical capabilities until she was older, she's been acutely aware of the odd things her parents did; though they would never confirm or deny these actions. Both of her fathers' found it humorous that Enya could never quite figure out that these "odd actions" would be magic. They had honestly thought she would be able to figure out what was going on long before they would have to explain, so of course they would wait an impossible amount of time before explaining.
From moving books and plates with a simple incantation, anytime Enya had brought this up to her primary friends, they'd say she was lying. Her grandparents would only shake their head and laugh, and nobody ever gave her an answer. This made her spiral into confusion like never before. It wasn't like Enya was smart enough to understand on her own- her poor intelligence certainly didn't help. If she was a slightly smarter child, she might've been able to understand what had been happening at the time.
This lack of wisdom doesn't come from her not wanting to learn- Enya has tried very hard to be more perceptive of the world around her, but it just doesn't come naturally. Ever since she was a small child, she's never been very bright. When her classmates were able to jump up with the answer to the last question, Enya always got embarrassed- especially if she was still on the first page!
Tutors never seemed to help, because she didn't need help learning material. Enya is able to grasp material concepts very easily, but applying them is when her brain slows down. This certainly isn't helpful when she's just trying to read books, or do math problems.
Where her brain slows down, her body speeds up. Enya always liked playing sports, like running, and playing rugby with the other boys her age. Because of this, she's become strong for her age, and still enjoys running and playing sports. To her, being good at sports is way better than being good at reading.

first magic experience

When her ninth birthday came around, she was determined to call out her fathers on their ability to do 'weird stuff' (or, more commonly known as, magic). Pacing around her room, contemplating how to do so, she had barely noticed the objects flying around her room. It was only when the door of her bedroom burst open that she noticed the chaos that had consumed her room.
Shortly after (and with a lot of terrified shrieks), Enya was more aware of the past she hadn't been able to learn about. When she was told all about both of her parents being wizards, she felt incredibly embarrassed about not seeing it sooner. Poor girl.

While he was born to two muggle parents, they didn't seem to mind that he was a wizard, and supported James while he was in Hogwarts, and then continued to support him when he became an Alchemist. His parents are still alive, and are big role models to Enya.

Born Nancy Perry to two unaccepting muggle parents, Nathan lived with his godfather for the majority of his life at Hogwarts. He met James during his third year in Hogwarts, and they've been close ever since. Transitioned two years after Enya was born. While Nathan doesn't speak to either of his parents, he has a godfather who used to babysit Enya (she doesn't remember him, though).

grandmother: jenna mae

Enya's grandmother, who's aware of wizards and witches. when she was a baby, and both of her fathers' were working, Jenna and Richard would babysit Enya. Used to own a bookstore in Killarney, but passed it down to Nathan after Enya was born.
She thoroughly enjoyed teasing Enya when she was little, claiming that the "magic" Enya saw her father's perform was just a figment of her imagination. Unfortunately this had a lasting effect on Enya, who didn't know that Jenna was just joking.

Enya's grandfather, a well-meaning muggle who is still confused on how magic works. He was the first person to tell her fathers' that Enya needed to know the truth. Definitely doesn't underestimate how unaware and lost Enya can really be.
While Enya and Richard have a bit of trouble communicating, he's completely aware of her absentminded and oblivious tendencies, however. Ran the bookshop alongside Jenna, but worked as carpenter prior to owning the bookshop.
