History/Background Story:

Ivy is an only child, and is therefore used to being the centre of attention. She has had several incidents of underage accidental magic, the most notable being when she popped every single balloon at her best friends birthday party after losing in musical chairs, without touching a single one. She thought it was a mere coincidence at the time, but after strange things started happening more and more frequently - clothing miraculously repairing themselves, rain clouds forming on only her enemies etc - Ivy knew something was up, and her Hogwarts letter only confirmed her suspicions of her speciality.

As a child, Ivy's parents were often away, mostly away on business in an attempt to support the family. Ivy was always okay with this, and in fact enjoyed the time to herself, she found it the best opportunity to be alone with her thoughts. Ivy's parents were so busy trying to make ends meet that they often forgot the role of parenting altogether, but not to worry, for Ivy had plenty of friends to keep her company. Her best friend, Lily, came from a wealthy, loving family, and Ivy loved to stay over at her house and spend time with her many siblings. She was sad to be leaving Lily, for she had been a brilliant and understanding friend, but Ivy could only wait to see what other exciting students she would meet at Hogwarts.

She was completely bewildered when she received her Hogwarts letter, delivered by a Professor Ivy did not know at the time. In fact, she thought the whole thing to be some sort of practical joke, and laughed at the idea of 'magic school'. She's glad to have been proven wrong. After having the concept of Hogwarts and magic explained to her, Ivy was sure that she would be sorted into Ravenclaw, for she knew no one her age wiser. Confused as she was to be sorted into Slytherin, she has grown to love the house, and all the people she has met there. She is excited to see what other aspects of magic she will learn about at her time in Hogwarts, and anticipates uncovering the secrets of the mysterious castle that she currently resides in.
