Beware the Oni's wrath," Chikao said once more. The chains that bounded him in Mahoutokoro had returned by the words of Hadahsi and Akira. However, Chikao refused to be bound once more. His freedom and the freedom of any student are what he valued most. To act freely and how one wanted were right. If Hadashi and Akira wanted to act high and mighty then Chikao didn't care, but to bring down or look down on others like Aryaan didn't seem right. Aryann... Chikao's anger cleared, and his mind got a little less cloudy as he recalled that he placed his friend in a bad situation, and had failed him. Chikao clenched his fist, and he knew he promised Aryaan at least one thing.
Chikao's gaze went back to Akira. He couldn't believe a blue robe ended up dragging him back to his feelings of anger. The feelings he tried hard to control and leave behined. However, Akira wasn't just any blue robe. He was Chikao's friend, and despite how this duel went he still considered him to be just that. Still though, Chikao's blood was begining to boil, and he looked at Akira with blood filled eyes.
Chikao wasn't gonna regret his next action. He knew it was gonna be extremely disgraceful, and he knew that he would most likely face punishment and humiliation once he returned to Mahoutokoro if word ever got out. Would he care? Of course not. The only thing Chikao cared about was him and his friends. Even if that meant beating some damn sense into them from time to time. Chikao took a deep breath and listened to Hadashi's words.
Chikao was already filled with rage, and even with a slight clear mind didn't feel like holding back what he had to say. At Mahoutokoro he was already living free in hell. He was going to fully regret what he was gonna say, but he felt that since he's already decided his own fate, he might as well go all out: "Your nothing more than a damn blue pig, Hadashi-kun."
Chikao dropped his wand and took an immediate dash at Akira. All his strength went into his legs, and into his balled up left fist, "AKIIRRAA!" Chikao yelled in fury. The chains of hell couldn't hold him down. The rules of duelling weren't going to keep Akira safe from Chikao. Akira's flipendo hit dead hard into Chikao's chest, but thats what made Chikao so terryfing and another reason as to what made him earn the nickname "Oni." Despite the flipendo hitting him in the chest, he did not slow down. He was like a demonic train running on rage. Nothing would stop him.
Eventually, Chikao swiftly dashed into Akira, and he landed a strong punch directly into Akira's stomach. As if time froze by itself, Chikao held nothing back in that hit. He took a martial pose, and even after the initial hit began to keep pushing his fist deeper into Akira's stomach. Chikao's rage hadn't vanished, but he had something to say to Akira. Chikao's heart was pumping and he was full of adrenaline. He couldn't feel the fear or regret of what Hadashi was going to do to him next. Chikao was going to regret it, but he felt happy that he could at least land a punch on Akira for Aryaan. Chikao's voice was calm, and possibly tranquil as he spoke to Akira. It could make one question if his anger was just a facade and show of amusement for himself. It wasn't, and that's what Chikao hated most. However, he was again happy because he got angry due to a friend being an idiot. Chikao then whispered to Akira with his fist still in his gut, "Akira... when you reach Gold robes, what will be next? What will you achieve? Please, tell me... will it be worth it all?" A tear could then be seen coming down Chikao's face. He had given into his anger, and had most likely broken any potential of being friends with Akira again. However, he felt like he had to help Akira. He had to give his friend one last goodbye, Chikao style.

He listened as Hitoshi-senpai agreed not to interfere at the moment, while the duel was still in session. Akira gave the upperclassman a brief bow of the head in acknowledgement and thanks. "Thank you, senpai. I will finish him myself for now," he said, knowing full well that Narumi would suffer their senpai's wrath afterwards. Akira reminded himself that whatever his opponent would endure was fully brought on by his own snarky attitude. Of course, the boy deserved it. And he would make sure to watch with satisfaction.
"Oi Akira, you still get harassed by students... but haven't you noticed it's kind of lessened a bit lately?" Narumi regained Akira's attention with his words. Akira was confused for a second. Of course, the usual cut-throat students had been pestering him less. There were less whisperings behind his back, less passive-aggressive comments, less aggressive encounters during Flying class... How did Narumi know?
A 'yokai that protected him'? As Narumi began to recite the poem of the Oni, the familiar words rang in his ears. It was a rhyme that some would recite in terror, as dares after school. Because when the Oni came, he was to leave a scene of carnage in his wake. And that was exactly what Chikao Narumi was like back then. However, before Akira completely connected the dots, he saw the rage in Narumi's eyes.
"Flipendo!" he incantated, making a swift flick of his wand, relying on his magic to pull him through the last seconds of the duel to victory, and to keep Narumi at bay. However, the strong boy took the powerful hit without any indication of stopping. Closer and closer he came, yelling Akira's name in fury, like a Cerberus released from the gates of hell. A clenched fist made contact with his stomach, knocking the wind from the slender boy. And it kept digging, bringing all the pain he ever knew into his torso.
"Akira... when you reach Gold robes, what will be next? What will you achieve? Please, tell me... will it be worth it all?" Narumi said calmly as Akira finally slumped to the floor and onto his knees, clutching his stomach. His vision blurred, and he found that he could hardly breathe. For some reason, Narumi's words were almost introspective, as if all his anger had dissipated with that single, deadly punch.
That bastard.
Who was Narumi to question his dreams, like a smart-ass? To wear golden robes was the height of glory and honor at Mahoutokoro, the most rigorous wizarding school in Japan. It was to become one of the greatest young wizards of all time. It meant that you were better than everyone else, and that in itself was a fully desirable badge of accomplishment. If he were to wear golden robes at graduation, the world would be his oyster -- the possibilities in his career and in life would be endless. And it would make his parents so proud, that their heir wore gold; it would bring much glory to the Shimizu enterprise and family name.
How would that not be worth it?
"You...you have no idea, Narumi," he mumbled through bated breaths, still clutching his stomach in pain, stumbling to his feet. "Someone with no ambition like you would never understand. You're just wasting away your life. You know nothing about sacrifice, though you don't hesitate to sacrifice others in your selfishness," he continued, thinking about how he was cast away by Narumi, not realizing that Narumi had kept him in his thoughts all along. There was no way a few questions from a lavender-robed boy would deter him from his goal. He would put in more difficult hours of studying into the night. He would practice dueling until he could no longer utter another incantation or lift his wand. He would lock himself away in his room, just to get that extra point on an exam. He would ignore those who weren't worthy of his time. He gritted his teeth in pain as he finally stood up to face Narumi and give him a fiery glare.
"I will do whatever it takes, Narumi, and you will get out of my way." He would do whatever it takes. And the world would bow down at his feet when he finally wore gold.

And so it was that Hadashi allowed this duel to continue.
He had a nice lineup of punishments for Narumi for what he had said and done. All that was left was to wait until the final round of spells concluded and-
Not only did he say 'kun' again, but called Hadashi by his first name.
And had the appalling amount of audacity to insult him directly.
Hadashi turned back to Narumi to address him, and readied his wand to put an end to the duel right then and there, only to-
What was Narumi doing.
The boy had the posture of a madman, roared like a beast, and began charging at Shimizu-kun.
By the time Hadashi had recovered from the surprise of Narumi-kun suddenly changing, He had already bounded across the stage.
Shimizu-kun attempted to stop him with a Flipendo that worked, but Narumi-kun seemed to defy what the spell did -Hadashi hadn't the slightest idea how- and charged right through it, punching Shimizu-kun in the stomach.
"Not stopping at disrespect,
you DARE violate dueling rules and etiquette?"
That was the breaking point.
Hadashi had officially had enough.
He aimed his wand at Narumi, sliding right into his perfect stance.
"Petrificus Totalus."
Immediately, his spell took effect. Narumi's entire body would tense and freeze. And he would fall to the floor.
Hadashi however, was not finished. He mounted the dueling stage, and padded over to the pair of boys, one rigidly unmoving.
"I believe this goes without saying, but Narumi-kun is disqualified. The winner is Akira Shimizu."
Hadashi arrived at them both and stopped.
"As agreed upon, Narumi-kun and Shamsi-kun will kneel upon the floor for 4 hours in bare feet, toes faced forward, weight distributed between their knees and feet. Any breach in posture will be met with increased time.
Narumi-kun will be Shimizu-kuns little minion for the remainder of our time here, and will clean the robes of every single Mahoutokoro student present at Hogwarts.
However, due to the multitude of transgressions witnessed here, I will add a few amendments to YOU, Narumi-kun."
A cold smile played across Hadashi's face. The new, cruel Hadashi was still very much at the wheel.
You seem to like to rely on your strength to solve your problems, Narumi-kun. So, for acting like a lowly thug in a duel, as you kneel, you will do so with added weight. Does 175 pounds sound fair, Shimizu-kun?"
He tilted his head at Shimizu for an answer. He WAS the one who got gut punched after all.
"In addition. After your kneeling punishment is concluded, you and I will be taking a jog.
However, you will be wearing some weights,, and not be wearing shoes as we jog around Hogwarts' Forbidden Forest. With all the fallen twigs and splinters and briars, I am sure you will get sufficient endurance training from it. It won't be a long jog, maybe... an hour or so?
And, once we conclude, for your blatant dishonor of me, you will duel me as conpensation."
And then, it hit him. The most undeniably cruel thing he could possibly do to Narumi that was legal and within the rules.
Hadashi knelt down, a few inches from Narumi's left ear.
"You have disrespected me, and your peer. You have disgraced Mahourokoro, the dueling club, and yourself. And on top of this, you tried to LIE to me, to implicate Shimizu-kun.
Yes Narumi-kun. I knew. The entire time, I knew.
So. I had a thought. Perhaps I shall have a talk with Headmistress-sama about enrolling you in mandatory remedial classes. All that time you spend napping and goofing about could be put to SO much better use, wouldn't you agree?"
Hadashi's smile began to show teeth.
"Oh don't worry. I will ensure you stay in Quidditch. But not for your sake. You are a remarkable bludger sponge, and a magnificent beater. I am not so cruel as to cripple our Quidditch team by robbing them of you.
But whenever you are not in lessons, quidditch or it's practices, or sleeping at appropriate hours, you will be studying. Right up until your robes are the navy blue they used to be. And should you ever slip afterwards, you will be returned right back into those classes until the slip is rectified. Perhaps they will even agree to have Shimizu-kun be your tutor. Whom you will answer to daily. Wouldn't that be fun?"
Those last few sentences were directed at them both.
Hadashi began to whisper. He did not know WHY he decided to, but felt it appropriate.
"I hope you've enjoyed your lazy freedom, Narumi-kun. And I hope that, one night, when you're lamenting the loss of it, that you look back on this duel, and that you will learn to respect those around you. "
With that, he got up, and walked to Shimizu-kun.
"That punch looked like it hurt. Are you alright?"
He had a nice lineup of punishments for Narumi for what he had said and done. All that was left was to wait until the final round of spells concluded and-

The pain was still emanating from his stomach. It was certainly the most powerful hit he had taken in a single time. For a Flipendo to be as strong as Narumi's punch, a duelist would have to have truly immense arcane power... and what hit him hardest was the surprise of Narumi's punch. He knew that the boy's arcane power wasn't his strongest suit, so Akira hadn't been prepared to receive any hits of immense force. So, Narumi's strength, combined with the element of surprise, was enough to send Akira to his knees.
He barely knew what happened next as he saw Narumi fall flat to the floor, bound by an invisible force. The Full Body Bind Curse. It appeared that Hitoshi-senpai had stepped in and subdued the boy for his misdemeanor. A wry smile twitched upon Akira's lips as he rose, still clutching his stomach, listening to Hitoshi-senpai's recitation of punishments.
Akira looked up at Hitoshi-senpai as he revealed that he had known, all this time, that Narumi was lying to implicate Akira in Shamsi's misdeeds. Of course. There was hardly anything that their senpai didn't know, or couldn't figure out on his own. Akira hadn't needed to worry about that. He was grateful that his senpai trusted him all along.
Finally, Narumi will get what he deserved. "Yes, Hitoshi-senpai, I agree that all those punishments are fair," he responded with a small smile. Ah yes, his senpai knew how to deal retribution the right way.
For Akira, any hint of sympathy for Narumi had evaporated with that punch. If he had just allowed Hitoshi-senpai to take Narumi down before the last round, none of this would have happened.
Nevertheless, it felt good to win, and he will enjoy every ounce of his reward.
"That punch looked like it hurt. Are you alright?" the upperclassman asked. "Yes, senpai, I'm alright now. The pain is wearing off, thank you for your concern. Narumi deserves to be punished without mercy for his misdemeanor," he responded, clutching his stomach for just a little while longer. He turned to address the stiff and prone Narumi. "Narumi, as we discussed. You will now do as I say for the rest of our trip at Hogwarts. I hope you remember that part of the deal." With that, he dusted off his robes. Perhaps, next time, Narumi will think twice before challenging a duelist to a duel. "You could be doing so much more with your talents, Narumi-san. Your spellwork was disappointing. It seems like you've really gone out of touch with your skills since you've slipped in ranking. I hope you've learned your lesson." All the events that had transpired only seemed to prove Akira right all along, and he was glad to throw it back at Narumi's face in his self-righteousness.

Good. Good. Shimizu-kun was alright.
Hadashi knew that Narumi-kun was still okay. He wasn't sure if he would be once his punishments were concluded, but that was not a concern of his at the moment.
Hadashi turned around to Narumi's still, unmoving form. He was VERY tempted to do something else to him... Something like putting one of his shoes over his face. Narumi was forced to breathe through his nose, so this would probably be extremely humiliating for him, along with tormenting his sense of smell. Maybe. He was not privy to Narumi's hygiene habits.
Another idea was to let Shimizu-kun just let loose on him. Buuut that would probably be worse. Shimizu-kun was not known for his strength... And just letting him blast spells at Narumi like this would be seen as weakness. People would say that he just attacked Narumi while he couldn't move. Plus, Shimizu just got his cool back, no need to give him a reason to let it slip again.
Then, Hadashi got the idea. A horrible horrible torture. One that would cause a lovely amount of mental distress.
"Ah. Narumi-kun? I believe I owe you a spell, for the one you so carelessly hit me with."
Hadashi stared at Narumi with chilling eyes, and raised his wand again, pointing it at Narumi's body.
"Rictusempra."
The spell burst forth from the wand, and covered Narumi's entire body. Unable to move, not even able to so much as twitch a toe, Narumi would be assaulted by an endless stream of unbearable tickling sensations all over his body at once. Unable to curl up, or even to laugh. All he would be able to do was lay there and take it, as the tormenting tickling all over his body slowly drove him mad.
....Or at least thats what they WOULD do, if Hadashi could keep both spells up for several days, which he did not have the ability, nor the desire to do. But, injury-less inescapable torture was, to him, sufficient Retribution.

Chikao laid on the ground in a motionless state. His body was still in a martial pose. The only feeling of movement he could feel and hear from himself was his heart and the air moving through his nostrils. Never before had he received such a spell-like the full body-bind curse. He then began to realize the sort of person Hadashi was capable of being. Chikao laid there, incapable of even blinking or shifting his eyes to a great degree. Face pushed against the floor, all he could do was listen to Hadashi and Akira talk with one another and towards him.
Chikao's blinding rage was still in effect, and he was in full denial of being frozen on the ground. He wanted to scream, trash, punch and kick. Typical of an 11-year-old throwing a tantrum, but Chikao had reason to do so. To feel frozen was rather terrifying, more than the words that came toward him. His freedom was all he had, and for it to be taken so easily was detrimental to his psyche. Still, all he could do was listen.
With this realization, Chikao decided to calm down a bit. For Akira, Chikao knew his end was bound to be met. Chikao was going to listen and do Akira's bidding, but not because of fear that he would be punished; rather, Chikao was a man of his word. He promised and had placed the devastating deal to help Aryaan and this was the cost. Chikao had little honor left to uphold, but that honor was of his own making. Not upholding his end of a deal would destroy what little honor he had left. However, Chikao didn't want to give anything else up to Hadashi or Akira. As such, he promised himself in his head that he would not speak or even look at Akira; unless addressed to do so for the rest of their time at Hogwarts. His friend didn't want his help and even taunted his talents. Chikao knew better than anyone that his talents were being wasted, but he didn't know how to use them. Chikao had no goals in mind, and that hurt the most.
As for Hadashi, Chikao kept his breathing in a calm tempo movement. Based on his frozen position and the sound of his breathing (if someone got close enough) they would be able to tell he wasn't panicked at all. The additional punishments didn't seem like an issue, just more of a bother to deal with. That was until Hadashi mentioned the inclusion of the Headmistress. Mentioning her caused Chikao's heart to skip a beat, and if he could glare at Hadashi he would. The breathing in Chikao's nose became more fierce and long, similar to an ox snorting at an opponent. The worst part though, was when Hadashi cast the tickling charm on Chikao.
Unable to move or react, Chikao just had to endure the spell. The amount of flipendo's from Akira couldn't amount to what Hadashi had done to Chikao. Chikao's breathing began to waver in all sorts of snorts and slight tears could be seen running down his eyes and cheek due to this type of torture. Even though it wouldn't last long, Chikao was filled with a feeling of conflicting hatred and fear toward Hadashi.
Chikao's Retribution would have to come for another time.

He watched as Hitoshi-senpai considered Narumi's prone, frozen form, then unleashed a merciless Tickling Charm upon him. It was not a combination of spells he had suffered before, but Akira could briefly imagine what it must feel like, to be absolutely bound but unable to writhe, laugh, or yell in response to ease the tickling. He heard Narumi's breath quicken, but that was the only response that the boy could control. Akira glanced away for a moment, but reminded himself that this was exactly what Narumi deserved. It was his own fault for speaking disrespectfully to a senior, and for breaking the rules of their duel. No mercy allowed.
It would likely take a while for the spells to subside. "Hitoshi-senpai," Akira began, "perhaps it's time that we head back to our cabins. I'm sure Shamsi-san is waiting to hear the results of our duel." He would wait for the upperclassman's response, and once Hitoshi-senpai would decide it was time to leave, Akira would cast the Levitation Charm upon Narumi's frozen form. The bound boy would levitate into the air as they left the Dueling Club and headed back towards the Mahoutokoro cabins.
Although he could very well allow his concentration to drift, without a care of dropping Narumi, he decided to maintain focus. It seemed that Narumi had suffered enough Retribution for the morning, and -- of course -- he still had hours of it to come as he kneeled on the hardwood floors, then as he ran errands at Akira's command over the course of the next week. And so, Akira would make sure that Narumi floated safely the entire way towards the cabins.
Akira has left the thread.
