It was obvious the taller male had grown attached to the raven-haired male, something about Judas caused Galahad to be more excitable as if all his worries that were previously on his mind had vanished. He couldn't understand how or why, but he had hoped that after this train ride was all said and done they would still be able to talk to each other, even if it was for a brief moment. He felt like he wasn't overwhelming the male, especially with how their introduction had begun.

Galahad had always got lost in his own little world when he spoke about gardening, being able to picture the one from home. The fresh cool soil on his hands, as it held a more earthy scent that was hard to describe yet easy to memorize. Galahad wondered if he could bring a potted plant to the school sometime, thinking it would be a nice way to satisfy his gardening needs without having to return home. Maybe he could even share whatever he would grow in the simple pot with Judas if the male was ever interested in the idea, of course, now he began to wonder what he could even grow in such environments wondering if a dorm at Hogwarts would even have enough supplies or sunlight to maintain a simple potted plant in such environments.

Galahad felt his face heat up once the other had compared the two of them, in a way he was right. They both had their own fixations on nature-like things, but was that such a bad thing? It made them both happy, so he had seen no issue in it. "You're right! I'll offer you some facts based on gardening and plants if you give me some arachnid facts. How does that sound? I'd love to learn more about your thoughts and findings on arachnids and maybe even other creatures if you're up to it! Who knows, maybe at Hogwarts we could both fill an entire notebook based on each other's findings. I wouldn't mind it after all." He started to like the idea of having a journal centered on arachnid facts, sure his own parents may question it. As long as it would keep him close with his newfound friend, however, he didn't mind having to find an explanation for it.

The male's gaze shifted to the other's painted nails, taking note as to how well they suited the other's look. He had even gazed at his own nails, wondering if he would even look good with painted nails. Before glancing back up at him once he spoke. "Well I'm sure you will be excellent at potions, then when you can get into Care of Magical creatures you'll be excellent at that subject as well. I know you got this, you seem pretty clever."

He returned his gaze to the other's nails, moving the topic onto that. "I absolutely love that shade of nail polish, what color is it? I don't think I'd look too good with nail polish myself, let alone sit still to even get them done. Did you do it yourself? If so you have really steady hands, so your handwriting must be just absolutely wonderful." He didn't know how he went from nail polish to handwriting, burning a bright red as he realized it would probably be better to stay on one topic at a time. Yet he felt so giddy complimenting the other, almost as if he loved complimenting every little thing he discovered about the male. Unsure if he should continue to do it, or just stop incase it had made the other incredibly uncomfortable.

Relaxing into a state of contentment, he realized he'd never quite felt this way. He couldn't explain it, but somehow, this boy was making him feel welcome. Like, they weren't strangers on a train headed to some terrifyingly unknown world. Instead, the feeling was more like two long time friends headed for a crazy adventure together. He hoped maybe Galahad felt the same way. He wanted more than anything to have a friend to share this new experience with.

Watching the other boy's expression as he talked, Judas was intrigued by the idea of creating something the two of them could share together. Like a personal project just for them. He nodded enthusiastically and let a wide grin spread across his face. He'd never smiled so much in his life. "That would be amazing! I'd love the chance to create something with you. I've never had a chance to work on a project with anyone before." Thinking on the idea a bit more, he realized both of their passions aligned incredibly. "You know, spiders can be beneficial to gardens. They prey on harmful pests. Maybe I could even look up information on other magical creatures to help in a garden!"

"And I think maybe there would be plants we could grow together for Potions Classes." He was definitely beginning to feel more confident with himself as the taller boy showed his enthusiasm. Until the mention of his nail color. He ducked his head nervously as the boy asked what the name of that particular color was. He was sure it had been black, but now upon closer inspection, the shade did look a bit lighter. He panicked for a moment trying to come up with an answer. He wasn't sure he wanted to explain his sight issues just yet, but there was no way he knew which one this would be. Thinking quickly, he hopped up to pull one of his smaller bags from the top compartment. Reaching inside, he looked for the small bottle shaped like the one he had used. Upon finding it, he held it out for the biy to see. It was only labeled with a funny abstract concept for a name. So, not very helpful. "It's called, Envy at Night. I'm not sure why, but they all have funny names like that. I paint them myself when I just need a minute to relax. Kinda like meditating I guess."

"I think you'd look good in anythin'." Judas paused for a moment realizing what he had said. He wasn't even sure he knew why he had said it like that. His face was was warm all of a sudden without him even understanding. "But you know, it's not everyone's taste."

Sitting back down, he bit his nails once more contemplating what he had even meant. He looked at his own hands curiously. He'd never considered that his hands were any more steady than anyone else's. It was true to a certain degree. He supposed it was due to the years he'd spent playing piano. His mother did often note he had incredibly legible handwriting for his age. As to if it was nice, he couldn't say. Regardless, he was happy for the change in topic as it gave him a chance to move on from the topic of color. "I suppose my handwritin's okay. It ain't perfect or anythin'. Don't you need steady hands for gardening though? Like for handlin' delicate plants?"

Galahad wondered if it was natural to feel this way about someone he had just met, despite being so friendly and outgoing with most people he met. He couldn't help but feel like they were going to have a closer bond than most of his previous friends outside of Hogwarts.

Galahad brightened up once the other had accepted his idea, clapping his hands together with much excitement lacing his soft hues."Wonderful! It'll be our little side project, Galahad and Judas' Nature facts!"He stated with a beaming smile, thinking it may be another way they can still see each other as well. It wouldn't be too shabby of an idea, and if anyone asked it's not like they would be doing anything bad. Just sharing simple facts with each other, pausing once the other had thrown a fact at him."I didn't know that! Keep that in mind, I certainly need to write it down when we get to Hogwarts!"

As much as he wanted to write it down right then and there, he didn't want another luggage incident to occur. Not that he minded of course, just felt that it would be safer for both of them to stay seated."I think that would be beneficial for us, especially since we won't need to purchase much aside from some seeds. I heard potion herbs and plants, can be quite pricey depending on the type of month."

Galahad looked surprised at how panicked the other was when he asked about his nails color, smiling as he eyed the bottle. Finding the name quite odd, yet whimsical in its own sense."I can see why it's called that, it matches as it's rather dark green almost black. I like that, how clever of a name if you ask me. It definitely holds true to the name, as green is typically known for its relation to envy. However, when I think of green, I think of healthy growing plants."

He hesitated for a minute, hoping he wouldn't weird the other out. Yet he genuinely wanted to see how it would feel like to hold such a color on his own set of nails, would they suit him or would he simply put them to shame? However the comment the other had made, set his cheeks to blazing red. A small smile traced his lips, as he felt a tad more confident about it."You think so..? Well then maybe if you'd like, I'd be more than happy to allow you to my nails. That is of course if you want to."

Galahad could feel his heart pounding once again, that odd sensation of joy filling his core once again. In an odd way, he accepted it, liking the feeling yet unsure as to how to describe it. He had never felt this way towards anyone, let alone girls that were of his age. Which was quite curious, as his father had described what love had felt like through stories and books. Yet if this was it, was it even natural in its own sense? After all, he had just met this person, and they were also a male. He tried not to dwell on it further, afraid to question most of what he had grown up to know."Yes, especially with plants that need a lot of care put into them. My handwriting isn't too shabby, but I'll admit it could be better."

With the agreement of a special project just for the two of them, Judas felt the beginning of a good friendship. The book would definitely be fun to work on, but secretly, Judas felt it was a prime excuse to spend more time with the other boy. He wasn't entirely sure why he felt this pull towards the other. Something in the way the boy spoke. His reassurances, his attentiveness and even his excitement over things most would probably consider odd. They were all large factors as to why he genuinely hoped they would be spending more time together.

As he listened to Galahad's description of the nail color, he found himself enraptured by the idea that a concept could be a color. Green with Envy, now he remembered. He'd heard that before. The fact that it was also associated with plants made his heart swell. It must be kismet, because the other boy had gushed over his love for gardening. He remembered suddenly, how Galahad referenced himself as being 'A Certain Olive-eyed male'. He'd been told Olive was a similar shade to green. Judas looked into the taller boy's eyes curiously, considering the differences in tone. He couldn't tell what exactly they were, but if he leaned closer he could see the patterns of his irises. "Like, your eyes." he said quietly without realizing. His own eyes widening, he realized how close he was. leaning back out of the other's space, he coughed awkwardly. "I mean of course, It would go with your eyes. Even though, they're lighter."

His heart was beating faster now and he took a breath trying to calm himself. He nearly succeeded until the boy suggested the idea of Judas painting them for the other male. He looked from his own slender finders, to Galahad's hands and felt himself getting worked up again. Was it getting hotter in here or was Judas just overly flushed? He wanted to take Galahad up on the offer so badly. Would the other boy's hands be soft? Or would they be rougher from working in a garden? And why was he even thinking about the other's hands in such a way? Rubbing at his cheek, he was surprised by the heat in his face. Surely he didn't have a fever. Then why was he blushing? Could the other boy tell? He'd been told a blush was visible. If that was the case, he hoped Galahad didn't think him odd for his reaction. Attempting to pull himself together he smiled nervously. "I'd love to paint them some time; just, the train might be a bit too unsteady." He looked up to the taller boy hoping he didn't sound as if he wasn't interested, "Really. I'd like that... if you'd like that I mean."

Hearing the other explain how working in the garden, required some delicacy and that his handwriting wasn't bad either, he quickly latched onto the thought. "Well, it's a good thing you're handwritin' isn't bad. It'd be difficult to write a book together if only half of it was legible."

Galahad had begun to think of ideas for their project together, having to jolt down all things he knew about plants he had come across in his life. Maybe even some magical plants he may come across in the wizarding world, he wondered what kind of magical creatures benefited plants in this world too. He couldn't imagine a unicorn protecting a plant, would they? He began to wonder what Judas' handwriting would look, as the other would write as much information as he knew about such mystical creatures and their roles in nature. He wouldn't mind sitting down with the other, as they looked up facts on arachnids and more.

Galahad had remained silent when he noticed the other intently looking into his own eyes, finding himself getting captivated by the other's multicolored eyes. Now that he was able to get a better look at them, he noticed how detailed they were. Whilst one reminded him of earthy soil, the other reminded him of a warm clear sky. It was rather beautiful in its own way, it made Judas stand out, especially since it was rare for eyes such as those. He jolted out of his thoughts once the had spoken up, just as he had thought he had cooled off his blushing Judas had quickly brought it back up once again. "I'm glad you think so." He laughed out a tad, rubbing his own cheek in an attempt to cool himself off with his rather cold hand.

Galahad noticed the other's blushing face, wondering if his own had mirrored that of the raven-haired male's current state. He slowly nodded in agreement, pushing his own hair back as he let out a small chuckle. "I absolutely agree..! Maybe when we get to the school or something, we could find a place to do them. I heard we have the weekends off, so I don't mind holding off until then."He decided now would be a good time to open the window, maybe it was the heat getting to them. That had to be the only explanation as to why they were getting so flustered, Galahad couldn't think of any other reason as to why had gotten so lost in the other's gaze at times, or even why he was feeling a sort of fluttering feeling in his stomach."Is it hot in here, or is it just me? I'm going to open up a window real quick."

He got up and opened the window, feeling his face cool down by the chill air as it felt wonderful against his currently heated face, finally sticking his head out like a dog to get a better view. Grinning from ear to ear as his locks flew against his forehead, glancing back at the male as he let out a chuckle. "Wouldn't it? One half of the book would be filled beautifully with arachnid facts and more, whilst the other is filled with some sort of caveman gibberish. I'm sure our handwriting would be absolutely beautiful together." He laughed until a bug had flown into the male's throat. Causing the auburn-haired male to cough harshly, a look of horror finally flashing on his face, and finally took a seat next to the other once again, deciding it was far nicer than poking out the window and experiencing that again. "I would not recommend that, I think I'm going to be sick." He spoke as he coughed harshly, covering his mouth with his fist. Feeling absolutely embarrassed after that, not sure how he could face the other as he kept his gaze on the floor.

Filled with thoughts of the two spending more time together, Judas smiled happily at the other boy. The other's grinning face and jovial personality made Judas just as excited about time outside of class as well as in. He hoped Galahad would remember the suggestion after the train ride. He imagined they would both be busy with School work and extra curriculars soon enough, but he knew the other boy would be on his own mind. He would be happy if the first weekend he had off of schoolwork, he could spend time working on the book or even showing Galahad how to paint his nails.

His face was still very much flushed, when the taller boy jumped up remarking on the temperature of the compartment. Judas had to agree the small area was beginning to get get quite warm, but he wondered if it was truly that or if he'd made the excitable male nervous. He too felt his heart pounding, though he couldn't explain why. As he watched the other boy hop up to open the window, he had the most peculiar sensation. It was equal parts relief from his own anxiety and a feeling of loss. His own mind couldn't comprehend the feeling. He chose to ignore the feeling and bury it for the time being. He could speculate about the odd emotion later. For now he watched Galahad's antics with a happy grin. The boy was both comical and endearing as he spoke about the book they planned on writing. He couldn't wait to see what both of their handwriting's would look like on the pages. He giggled at the description of the taller boy's side of the book. "I'm sure that description will be in reverse. With plants, you can fold them into the pages. With animals, the best I can do is hope my doodles accurately represent the subject matter."

He watched as the air made a mess out of Galahad's hair and was going to offer a warning, when suddenly the older boy was coughing. He jumped up quickly to pat the boy on the back, hoping he wasn't about to choke on whatever small creature he had swallowed.

"Are you okay?" He asked quickly. For the most part Galahad looked fine, but he was obviously mortified with how he looked down to the floor. Judas was suddenly reminded of one of the few times his brother had taken him for a ride on his motorbike. He began to laugh as he remembered the incident. He'd felt just as embarrassed. His brother had warned him of the dangers of opening his mouth to shout while moving so quickly on the road, but of course Judas hadn't been paying much attention. Now as he chucked, he couldn't help more from bubbling up. He had to clutch his side for how much he began giggle. He tried to catch his breath as he sat back down worrying that Galahad may feel badly about him. "The same thing happened to me once. I swear I nearly cried when I realized what had happened. My brother had to pull over because he thought I was gonna to be sick."

He offered the embarrassed male a look of reassurance as he pat him on the back again. "At least take comfort in knowing that insect carry a lot of protein."

Galahad wouldn't forget the other even he had tried, they had already made a great duo simply by talking. With Judas he felt like he could conquer anything Hogwarts would throw at them, he liked the feeling compared to how anxiety-ridden he was earlier. It made the auburn-haired male wonder how much time had passed. Glancing over at the clock, he was surprised to find out that they had been speaking for an hour at least, yet it only felt like a few minutes.

Galahad nodded quickly, wiping any saliva that had fallen on his lips with his arm. Offered a weak smile, as the insect had caught him by surprise. His throat absolutely burning from the impact, as he attempted to soothe the pain by rubbing at it. The auburn-haired male didn't want to worry the other too terribly, especially since he should've been far more careful. Feeling the others hand on his back, gently patting it in an attempt to make sure he wouldn't choke on such a small creature surprised Galahad. Putting him into quick ease, relax in a matter of seconds as his shoulders faltered just a tad. Maybe choking on a bug wasn't too bad, if it meant being able to settle down rather quickly by a small gesture.

However, he had heard the other burst into a giggling mess, cautiously looking over as he looked confused for a split second. Slowly beginning to return to his previous happier nature before that minor event, as he let out a small laugh once the other had told his own tale of unintentional bug swallowing. "Well then, I suppose we both now have our own tales of bug tasting, hm?" He chuckled out, his voice sounding a tad strained as he was still recovering from it.

Galahad paused at the comment, laughing once more as he leaned against the male dramatically. "Gee thanks, mother always told me I needed more protein for my skinny bones." He playfully stuck his tongue out at the other, before thinking about their conversation before the incident. "What were we talking about again..? Oh! Illustrations for the bog regarding animals, this school must have a library there, right? When we have free time let's see if we can find any books on these creatures, it might help especially since some books might have some drawings or even pictures of some creatures."Finally he got off the other, wondering what this school held for them. In a way Galahad was excited at the thought of it, turning to the male as he extended his pinkie as he leaned forward to the other."Entwine your pinkie with mine, won't you? I want to make a promise before we leave this train ride, alright?"His olive eyes stared deeply into the other's multicolored ones, for once, the taller male sounded serious his demeanor changing entirely."Promise me we'll still be in touch once we get to Hogwarts? That we will work on that book together, and we'll be buddies no matter what happens? I genuinely like your company, I don't think I would've gotten over my anxiety without you. I'd hate to lose touch with you, Judas."

Glad to see that Galahad was remaining in somewhat good spirits, he let himself relax. His ribs ached with how much he had laughed, but it had just been so funny. Even when it came to accidentally swallowing a bug, they were similar. Judas did still worry about the hoarseness of the other boy's voice. He knew from experience an insect at high velocity could be somewhat painful. "We should get you some water when we get to Hogwarts." He noticed the boy looking at the clock and felt a bit sad at the thought they would soon be there.

Feeling the taller male lean into him playfully, Judas blushed heavily. He could feel the other boy's wirey frame easily now and he couldn't help but feel a bit shy. He wondered if Galahad also noticed how thin Judas was. "Well, you must get enough, because you're taller than me." He chucked. Seeing the other boy stick his tongue out playfully, Judas grinned wildly and mirrored the look, sticking his own tongue out playfully. He felt himself leaning in closer to pay attention as Galahad explained how they could work on the book together. "That's perfect! It'd be easier for sure and maybe give us even more ideas for what to put in the book."

Feeling the other male right himself and move from his leaning position, Judas was caught off guard by the feeling of loss. He wasn't sure why, but the closeness of them against each other had been quite nice. He didn't have time to dwell on the feeling as the other boy was suddenly turning towards him with his pinkie held out. He entwined his own pinkie with Galahad's, wondering if the softness of his own hands or his boney fingers might feel odd to the other male. He remembered his dad had often remarked that a real man who labored with his hands could expect a callous or two. Of course Judas had none, but he wondered what that would feel like.

As Judas listened to the other male explain the promise, his heart began beating faster. He watched enraptured as Galahad grew more serious. Despite being self conscious about how his own eyes looked, he held the other's gaze firmly. This was important. "Of course, I promise. I don't want us to go our separate ways. You're the first friend I think I've ever really had." He all but whisper. Gathering his confidence, he cleared his throat to speak more firmly. "We will remain buddies. I swear it. I could never forget about how you made me feel so welcome."

"Or how you saved me from a bruise or two, when you could have just let me fall. Like a knight." He giggled glancing away with a small blush. Looking once more to those intricately detailed eyes, he gripped the other more firmly with his own pinkie. "I promise you Galahad. We will stay in touch."

Galahad nodded, liking the thought of something cold to soothe his throat. "I like the thought of that, cold refreshing water. For now, I don't mind having to hold off without it." He tried to pay no mind to the clock afterward, wanting to bask at the moment before it had ended."Wait I ate a bug, does that make me a spider now? May I bask in saving gardens, and much more?"He questioned, his eyes lightening up.

Galahad let out a wide grin once he noticed the other mirroring him, he found it dorky yet cute in its own way. He quite liked it, glad to see the other so loosened up, especially with how tense he was an hour ago."We should have a competition to see who'd end up taller, I'm only five foot one. Surely you can beat me before we get to our last year here, what do you think?"He spoke in a less strained tone now, quickly recovering from the bug incident."It sounds like date then! Wait, plan? Which sounds better..? Do you know? No matter, At some point, we'll just have to meet at the library."

Galahad wouldn't mind leaning against the other again, despite being scrawny himself it seemed like they clicked well. His own hand was quite hard with labor despite his young age, yet he didn't mind it. It showed he did what he loved on a daily basis.

"Is that so? Well, now you're stuck with me Judas, be warned for many bug-eating events from now on!"Maybe that could be their inside joke, brightening up once the other spoke more firmly."So have you, I think I'd still be an anxious mess if I hadn't encountered you." Letting go of the other pinky, he wrapped his arms around the male pulling him into a tight hug. Squeezing his eyes shut as he let out a wide smile, thinking a simple promise could keep the two of them so close.

He felt his own face heat up once the other had brought up how he saved the raven-haired male. A small chuckle escaped his lips, as he refused to let go of the other. His heart was racing as he wouldn't mind doing it a million times, as long as he could keep his newfound friend safe.
"I wouldn't mind doing it again for you, I'll do my best to be your best knight."

Beyond any of Judas's wildest imaginations, he'd found a friend on his first day of stepping into the wizarding world. He had of course been excited and terrified about all this school had to offer, but this was so much more than that. Galahad had stumbled into his train compartment, and into his feelings as well. There was no doubt that any adventure that waited for him would be made better by having such a friend.

Laughing at Galahad's joke, Judas nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, I think you're a spider now. It's okay though, y'know I adore spiders."

When the taller male mentioned their height difference, Judas considered his father and brothers. He was certainly shorter than they had been at his age, but that didn't necessarily mean he wouldn't eventually catch up to them. He let a grin spread across his face considering the competition. "How about a bet? I mean, I don't have money, but what if we bet on a secret? If you end up taller, I tell you a secrets, If I end up taller, I tell you a secret. I'm only 4'9 now, but I'm sure I might catch up soon. My brothers are all very tall." Judas had always wanted to be in a competition, but most involved a great bit of visual acuity which he did not have. Still, this kind of competition was mostly for fun, much like the book they would be writing soon. At the mention of writing it, Judas blushed slightly at Galahad's choice of words. He knew it wasn't the kind of date that others would go on with a crush. Just a time they would meet up. He shook his head at the thought. Besides, A boy couldn't date another boy. His face flushed at the thought and Judas found his only reply was to nod vigorously. Why was he thinking about dates?

When Galahad pulled him into a tight hug, Judas felt warmth spread through his body. He'd never been able experience closeness like this with anyone but his mother. It was nice. He hugged the boy in return, squeezing as tight as he could. "I think that'll be what I call you. My knight. It could be a great name for the book. Judas and The Knight's book of Nature. Maybe. Do you think I should have a Pen name as well? What would be a good name? Something that describes me?" His own strange eyes met Galahad's curiously wondering how the other boy would describe him. Something that would set him apart from others.
