Chikao used Reflect
With the air and sky covered in the deep shade of orange and yellow in resemblance to fall-covered leaves, Chikao stood out on his broom in the field wearing his Mahoutokoro robes, only part of his quidditch equipment, and a beater in his left hand. He took in a deep breath to allow the warm spring air to enter his lungs. He was here for his own reasons, alone to do what he felt was needed. He wasn't particularly happy to be here but decided that the time to speak to himself was to be done now. No other students were on the pitch from what Chikao could tell, and that's exactly what he was hoping for. He recalled everyone at the campgrounds talking about the ball and even the posters around Hogwarts were rather hard to miss. The ball was bound to start any moment now, and Chikao wasn't planning on attending.
Standing on his broom, he slowly moved his leg up to enter a slight crane pose and made sure to control his breathing. In and out. Deep and long with little to no sounds occurring around him. Out of nowhere, with a quick burst of speed came a bludger. Chikao swiftly knocked it away, and soon redirected his hand to backbeat a second incoming bludger. Chikao sighed, and his jaw began to droop a little. A look of apathy appeared on his face, a look that no one at Mahoutokoro tended to see him wear. He normally wore a smile no matter the situation. He almost never took anything seriously, even when it came to quidditch. Even now, he beat the 2 bludgers flying around him with little to no effort. They barely flew far and they easily swiftly turned back at Chikao. Chikao slightly lost his balance and had to settle his foot back down on his broom. From a crane stance to a surfer stance. It felt unnecessary, but he continued to beat the bludgers back and forth, back and forth. As if playing ping pong with an invisible creature, each hit from him just continued to get weaker and weaker.
Chikao began to think why was he here? Why wasn't he with the others? As his mind wandered, he didn't quite notice that both bludgers were heading toward him from opposite directions at once. He spun and slammed one bludger into the ground, but took the other to the chest; resulting in him beginning to fall. He was only a couple of feet high up, so he didn't have a great fall. Holding the bludger in his gut, Chikao rushed over towards the mahogany wooded box of Mahoutokoro to stuff the bludger back inside. He panted a bit and placed his back against the box. Soon, the next bludger that he had slammed came flying right at him, and he decided to take this one head-on just as well. A painful grunt came out of Chikao, but the lively bludger was caught, held, and subdued back into its spot in the box. Chikao shut the box and decided to just lay down. Tired, panting, and slightly in pain. Chikao was sure the blossom ball was probably the complete opposite.
Forcing himself up, Chikao stood in the center of the large quidditch pitch, noticing the light of the sun was beginning to dwindle down. He was surprised he had lasted that long, but... was there a point to it? Chikao looked at the rather dark orange cloudy sky and decided to just lay down and rest.
He thought for a while, and his mind wandered. What came to mind first, was Aryaan Shamsi. The two of them were good friends, and Chikao made sure to look out for Aryaan whenever he could. The boy was wearing Lavendar robes and truly knew what fun in life was. Aryaan had all of Chikao's respect. They rarely fought, and the only time they had so far was for fun, like Chikao hitting a bludger at him. Chikao looked at his beater and wondered what would have occurred if they had met sooner. Chikao once wore blue robes, he had a temper worse than giants, and he took everything seriously as well. Top of his class, he was even Akira Shimizu's best friend. With that, Chikao's mind then wandered towards Akira Shimizu.
A slight strong breeze flowed through the air, and the distant sound of leaves far away could be heard. Watching the clouds move by with the wind, Chikao pushed himself on the ground to look directly up. His eyes closed, Chikao controlled his breathing in a slightly different way. Between each breath, Chikao actually held in the air before letting it all out. The thought of the fire breathing Akira made Chikao sadder than he anticipated. Even if his calm expression didn't portray it, Chikao gave off an aura that something was off. Once the greatest of friends, Chikao recalled and reminisced the great days he and Akira had. However, Chikao's mind also went back to how they had dueled each other the last time they were here at Hogwarts. Throughout that duel, Chikao didn't want to harm Akira at all. The original plan was to see if they could share their problems, but there was more hate and anger than Chikao was anticipating. Still, even though Akira was full of rage and what felt like he meant what he said, Chikao had to accept it. He couldn't bring himself to hate Akira because this had all started with Chikao. Chikao took a deep breath and held it for a while. Akira had Chikao's respect.
Then there was the young lad known as Hiro Bakugo. Chikao hadn't quite spoken much with Hiro, but he could already tell that the boy had earned all of his respect as well. Hair dyed, daring to say other students' first names. Hiro did what he wanted, and he did it well. No matter what others have said to him, he's done so much on his own. From the short interactions they've had, Hiro had earned Chikao's respect.
There was also Sakura Kobayashi and Sana Ohashi, the two rather strong female friends in their first-year group. Still, little interaction with them, but Chikao was sure the quidditch practice he had with Sakura could have gone a lot better if he wasn't messing around so much. Also, there was the fact that Sana was willing to bow her head with Chikao to save Aryaan from Hadashi Hitoshi's wrath. Despite how short their talks may have been, they both had Chikao's respect.
They were all willing to do what they wanted, each challenged authority or the rebellious natures of each other. Little deterred from one another, Chikao gave a slight smile and chuckle to be glad to know them all. The question though, was it right for him to be around them? Chikao's disgrace of falling from blue robes to lavender robes made a powerful impact on what people thought about him. His parents didn't mind at all to his surprise, but the constant lectures and comments from his teachers and fellow students annoyed him greatly. It took months for Chikao to ignore and handle the annoyance, but what about the others? If word got out that purple robes or even a blue robe like Akira were still hanging around Chikao, what would happen? Even lavender/pink robes like Aryaan were at risk of being lectured harder or more often by staying around Chikao. Chikao believed Was Chikao a deliquant? Not even he knew. Nonetheless, he was a danger to them.
The wind increased in strength, and Chikao took a couple more calm breathes towards the sky. He pulled himself up to place himself in a meditative pose. He began to hum a slight song to himself. One of tranquility and joy. As a few minutes went by, a few tears rolled down his cheek in fear of both past and future.

About a half-hour went by with Chikao patiently waiting in a meditative pose. Merely listening to the wind and taking deep breaths with every minute. Chikao had to think a bit more, and he had to understand himself before he could continue onward in his schoolwork, his quidditch, and his friendship with his fellow Mahoutokoro classmates. He had just experienced pain and sorrow, and he needed to clear his mind and accept all that he had done wrong and that he regretted. The 20 minutes of patiently waiting went by rather quickly, and he felt more with himself. The issue now, was he had to now experience anger and accept the fire within him.
He looked back in the direction of the castle and wondered how everyone was doing. He hoped they were all having fun and enjoying themselves. Chikao heard a slight rumor that Shamsi was gonna go with Sana, and he was rather surprised by that. He was bound to tease his friend about it and ask what occurred the next time they saw each other. Chikao thought of Hiro and was certain the boy was having the best time of his life. Well, that's at least what Chikao would think, but Chikao thought Hiro acted too innocently at times. Chikao feared what would happen when Hiro finally snapped and his innocence would become corrupt. Whoever Hiro was speaking with and whoever Hiro was dancing with, Chikao hoped that if Hiro did get hurt that he would at least cry rather than smile through the pain. Then there was Akira, the very name somehow felt bitter and sweet to Chikao. All Chikao could think was if he could forgive Akira for what occurred the last time they were at Hogwarts.
With that, Chikao lifted himself up off the ground: "Thairr'sa err nurd raicarirr nelsailr firr luw. I riffura I rhuirn shuail dhan ed raerd." "They're all most likely dancing by now. I suppose I should join them at least."Chikao didn't mean he should leave and join them in dance, but rather be with them in spirit. He took off his heavy quidditch equipment and was only wearing his Mahoutokoro robes now. He took a stance that was rather odd and not similar to a dancing pose. Instead, his pose was closer to that in martial arts. Chikao thought back to the amount of training he endured with his father during their visit to Russia, and he thought back to the Judo classes he took at Mahoutokoro. Martial arts felt natural to Chikao, and he was one of the best at it.
Chikao then began to move in specific motions, similar to both a combination of slow dance and martial arts. He began to hum a slight song to himself and picked up in tempo with his movements. Chikao's love for martial arts and culture allowed him to hear about something known as "Capoeira" a Brazilian martial art that's a mixture of dancing and fighting. Chikao never went to Brazil or ever met someone there, but the sound of fighting and dancing at once sounded extremely fun to him. His movements weren't exactly fluid, but as time went on they became more pristine and solid. He was still long away from perfecting his movements and attacks, but Chikao didn't mind. What he needed to do now was focus on the anger within him. His mind immediately went to himself. His mind was gone, and yet it still felt slightly split. Chikao's only anger was pointed towards himself for many reasons. For one, he hated the fact he use to be a blue robe. He acted so high and always felt violent towards the students that mocked him and Akira. However, he was upset that he left that kind of life as well.
As Chikao flung kicks and punches, he recalled the number of friends he lost and the fact that he has been going through hell because of his actions. His kicks and punches were beginning to sway a bit out of tempo, but he corrected himself. He could feel the fire ignite, and the steaming rage began to rise slightly. Chikao threw more open punches and imagined that damn smirk he use to always have. Then he thought of all the students who made fun of him, and the teachers who gave him lectures upon lectures to correct himself. Slight friction of heat and minor sweat began to pour down Chikao's face as he threw each punch with the continuing growth of effort and strength. He didn't yell with each punch. Instead, the only sounds Chikao could hear were the thumping of his heart, and the voices of others going through his head. He was angry at these people but also angry at himself for the fact that he could have avoided all of this if he hadn't chosen the life he wanted. He lost many people, and Akira came to mind. Chikao's grip on his fist tightened. Nowadays, he typically didn't feel anger towards another student, but he could feel the anger boil at this point.
Chikao's punches didn't match the tempo, but they were a bit cleaner as he threw more punches and kicks. He never really wanted to hurt Akira, and he held back his anger multiple times. Chikao wanted to yell at Akira, pummel him down if he could. Although, he also just wanted to be friends again. More tears fell down Chikao's face again, a slight grunt could be heard as his dancing martial arts just became martial arts. Chikao felt anger, pain, and sorrw. The question now, was if he could feel joy by the end of the night. His anger continued onward for awhile, and did not die down for a second. Chikao's anger was still mostly pointed towards himself.
He felt like his old self again with each punch. Perhaps he should go back to being in a blue robe. If he did though, how many people would he lose again? If Chikao was in a blue robe again, how many people would he end up hurting? It was a thought for consideration as his punches picked up in speed. Perhaps Chikao should just walk a path of blue again, but this time alone.

The chains of peace and tranquility became loosened with each punch, kick, and stern movement that Chikao conducted. His anger was free at this moment, and the "Oni of Mahoutokoro" was possibly back based on his expression. Chikao hated the old rumored title so many first-year students had given him. He sometimes believed it wasn't his fault that he developed such a nasty and horrific temper, but he instead blamed the giants he learned from with his father. The amount of anger, rudeness, and risk of death that occurred was too frequent for Chikao. He learned their culture and even picked up their language; however, it seemed he picked up a few more things than he was expecting.
His fist grew in pain and he began to perspire down his face. However, he didn't weaken his attacks and took a steady beat with each one. His anger grew, and Chikao could honestly hurt someone 9with one attack) if they were to approach him now. There was great difficulty in this feeling he had, he didn't quite know how to control such a loathful feeling. He kept it under his belt for so long and without issue against the many teachers and students who spoke with him. However, the last time he was at Hogwarts he had lost control. He had lost the control he took great pride in having created and formed. Chikao wanted to cry from the feeling of failure that he had, and yet he instead felt rage for the one who caused him to lose his focus. Chikao wanted to curse at the name of the student that didn't understand the hardships and pain he was going through... and yet, he couldn't face that student either. Chikao didn't understand what control was, and it was at this moment as he recalled punching Akira in the gut that he realized his problem.
Chikao stopped his attacks and looked at the sky. His breathing was ragged and disproportional. It wavered on and off from short, to too long, and almost stopped completely as he fell to the ground dizzy. Chikao pushed himself too far with his self-encounter. This was not just a mental strain, but a physical one as well. He needed to know who he was, and how was he supposed to achieve what he wanted. Yet, the question of what it was he wanted was still unanswered. He only knew that he had to control his emotions in order to completely reach new heights. Chikao thought about it and came to a realization. His anger was a part of him. If anything, it was what defined who he was before his steps towards his own enlightenment. He couldn't break it off nor keep it within no matter how hard he tried. Chikao knew he had to live with his anger, not try and subdue it. He mentally accepted his past self, and yet he still tried to suppress it. He needed to express everything that he is and who he was. Chikao had to accept that he was an Oni... but that didn't mean he had to terrify everyone he knew.
With his newfound feeling, Chikao certainly felt more at peace than he did before. He could be defined as a lazy sloth who had a demon's rage. Yes, that's how one could describe Chikao Narumi. However, defining that sloth's goal was still the greatest question of them all. Chikao lifted himself off the ground and began to leave the quidditch pitch at Hogwarts. Wiping away the tears, a small smile appeared on his face. Despite the amount of time that had passed, the slightest amount of sunshine still rose across the sky. Perhaps he will be able to join the ball... but the question was if he should. Chikao decided he would visit just to check up on everyone, but not stay for the celebration. Afterward, he planned to just sleep the night away as he always did in his room.
If you made it this far (and have a Mahoutokoro iNPC) OWL me if you would like Chikao to have a short interaction with you at the Celebration Ball
