"𝕱aye, be careful, you are going to fall like that--" Regina began, but her date was already skipping further away, closer to the flowery bushes adorned with colourful ribbons. She felt her breath hitch slightly when Faye started to spin around with a beaming smile, and the happiness was contagious. It made Regina felt a laughter of her own wanting to bubble up at her friend's whimsical behaviour, but she couldn't get it out because of how foreign the sensation was.

Standing there, watching the figure of Faye spinning in her stunning pink flowery gown that Regina had gifted her, surrounded by rainbows of flower herself and the warm ways of the setting April sun...it was incredibly poetic. It was a scene straight out of a novel from the Romantic Age, a single person representing the emotion and imagination of humanity, cocooned by a blanket of supernaturalism and the love for freedom. Even the soothing classical music being played in the background by the Renaissance-like band at the edges of the courtyard was a romantic touch. Regina was faintly aware that she was staring--no, transfixed--but she couldn't bring herself to stop, and there was no reason to. Faye was very beautiful like this, and it was natural that she would capture Regina's attention in such a way.

The Hexwizard Tournament, Henri's suspicious scheming, the family tension back home, the pressure of being the perfect daughter...none of those mattered in that moment. The ravenette felt, for the first time in forever, a sense of tranquility and happiness. Regina had always thought that solitude would allow her freedom of emotions, but she'd never expected someone like Faye to tumble into her life (literally) and gradually changed her perception of everything. That it was okay to become attach to other people, to trust them, to not be afraid of letting down her walls...it was a breath of fresh air Regina never knew she needed. And the Heiress found herself wanting, desiring, to keep it and cherish it for as long as she was able to.

And it was for Faye, only for Faye, that she would ever direct a genuine smile to.

"Do you want to light our magical candles at the bonfire?" Regina spoke as she approached the Ravenclaw, her chest light-hearted and her orchid eyes soft. "We could also put our wishes in the effigy, if you'd like."

He hadn't expected her to notice his uncomfortableness surrounding the upcoming Goblet announcement, and River's comment made him flush. The boy wasn't accustomed to such emotions, and he became somewhat frustrated. He held it in though, realizing that there wasn't anything to do, and it wasn't her fault that he was feeling like this. But then, as she mentioned she had entered, she confessed the same thoughts that Florian was feeling. There were plenty of better, older students to choose from, it just made sense that the Goblet would choose one of them. He nodded, at this point wanting to drop that portion of the conversation.

"Hmm.. I do believe they will be providing brooms for us, no?" Florian wondered aloud about the Torch Tag event. Any reason to get onto a broom was good enough for him. He certainly wished he had his Nimbus with him, but as there was no inter-school race, it had been left back at Beauxbatons.

Florian continued to peer over the walls at the smoke and said, "Indeed, let's go check out it's source." As she agreed, the two made their way out of the confined walls of the courtyard into the ever-growing twilight. The first thing his eye found was the large bonfire, certainly the source of the smoke he had seen earlier. "Wow, it's quite magnificent..." he said, clearly in a bit of awe at the feat of bonfire engineering.

His eye was quickly then drawn to the to the large wooden dragon, clearly an effigy, where one could place their wishes. A small table had been set up next to it, making it obvious to those who may not have immediately understood what it was for. "Magnifique..." Magnificent He could barely take his eyes off of the towering dragon, it was mesmerizing. It would be even more mesmerizing when it was alight, and he couldn't wait to see that.

He walked over toward the table, grabbed a scrap of paper for himself, then turned to River, asking, "Would you like to join me in adding a wish to the effigy?" He would then grab her a scrap as well, grab a quill, and begin to contemplate what he was going to write. On the surface, Florian didn't know what was making him feel so sentimental or nervous, but he knew he needed to find ways to release these feelings, even if it made him look weak. He contemplated what he would put on there, wondering if he should be more practical or more ambitious. In the end, he decided to put his true goal on there. He would either be the champion, or be on the champion's team, that was sure.
I wish to bring honor to Beauxbatons.
He began to feel some of his more sentimental emotions fall away as he put the quill away. It was almost like a release, these pent up feelings finally having found a way to be free. He could finally go back to being is cocky confident self. He would turn to River, puffing out his chest a little, and would hold out his arm again, guiding them into the small archway. He tied his note inside the dragon, smiling, and would help River if she so needed it.

Florian was finally starting to feel like himself again, and he was happy. He would guide them back into the courtyard, and, noticing the minstrel group at the edge, would bow and hold his hand out toward her. "Would you care to dance, Miss Fayre?"

River had followed Florian into the place where they would be signing up, she would write something on the paper , tie it up and then follow the French boy out of that area and into the courtyard again,
"I brought my broom, but maybe they have some for the people who did not." She said, in French.
"So do you play any sports?" She asked, she had never joined any school sports even though she did have a broom, and she did love to fly, none of the sports bad called to her when it had been time to sign up, but if she did do a sport, it would have to be Quidditch, she had played small games of Quidditch at home as a child, and she had loved them, but as she had gotten older more and more of the children had gone to School, and River had been left to play with only a few other wizard born kids, and they had not had enough kids to play a proper game, and to add to the problems, none of the younger kids had brooms, River only had one because it had been Mabel's.

The French girl smiled, "Oui Yes, I'd love to dance." She replied, taking his hand.

The warm pricks at her eyes slowly but surely became full blown happy tears, streaming down Faye's face as happily as she whirled around the courtyard, unaware to Regina's piercing stare. Even with her strangely acute hearing, she couldn't hear the perfect background melody as her ears were at the verge of popping from all the air entering them.

"That's why I took precautions! Observe, dear Regina!" She boomed, grasping her right foot and yanking it up so that the white trainer was visible, accidentally looking like a baby giraffe attempting a complex ballet move. The Ravenclaw wobbled for a second, but masked it by going into pirouettes around the courtyard, her massive grin still visible.

However, when her date walked closer to her, Faye paused, holding her arms out in order to steady herself. God, was her head spinning or was the world moving?

"Bonfire?" She murmured, turning her head to spot the absolutely ginormous bonfire further down into the grounds. Hazel eyes diluted and her smile grew even bigger, like a kid in a candy store. "BONFIRE!" Faye screeched ecstatically and the Ravenclaw sped off down the courtyard, arms whirling in circles, at such a rapid pace she could just burst into flames at any point, before screeching to a halt, and running back, grasping Regina's hand.

"Can we go?!" It was more like an order than a question, but the puppy-dog eyes and erratic bouncing on the spot made it almost impossible to say no to. Unless, of course, you were cold-hearted.

Hunter placed his hand upon his chin and had to give it some thought. What sort of mask would he wear? He supposed that it was rather interesting that he mentioned wolfsbane at all during this unique night. His family actually had an interesting history and relation to dealing with werewolves. Unfortunately Hunter didn't know much about that history, but he was planning on finding out what it is when he returned home during the summer. The last name Argentum, Latin for "Silver." It was honestly rather ironic for what he was going to say, but to Hunter, it seemed rather fitting: "Well... seeing how I talked about aconite (wolfsbane), I think I'll go with a wolf's mask. My family ha-..." Hunter hesitated. He still hadn't met or known Judith that long, was it right for him to share so much about himself and his family?

Hunter was always paranoid and kept watch on other students. He tended to take notes about them very often trying to pinpoint each student's strengths, weaknesses, and key personality traits. If Hunter was to ever get into a conflict or dreadful situation with any student, he wanted to know how to take care of them or call on them when it felt necessary. Why wasn't Hunter being paranoid about Judith? The shadow and feeling of paranoia and fear were beginning to set their sights on Hunter. He shook his head to try and focus, "Nevermind. C-c'mon. Let's hurry before they run out of materials," Hunter began to walk at a slightly fast rate towards the crafting corner to create a mask and crown with Judith. He still felt confident, but his anxiety was beginning to creep back in slowly. He wanted to go around and reach each location in hopes of easing himself. It may have been hard, but something was clearly a bit off about how Hunter was acting: "What about you Judith? What sort of beast will you take the form of?"

𝕽egina winced when Faye screeched excitedly on the top of her lungs, and she watched with exasperated fondness as the red-haired girl ran down the cobblestone path like an energetic child who'd just discovered a new playground. She was already beginning to follow Faye, knowing that she couldn't let someone so clumsy and carefree out of her sight lest anything unpredictable happened. If it was anybody else, Regina would have been extremely offended that they would pair such an exquisitely tailored gown with plebeian shoes, but since it was Faye, it was more or less to be expected. Judging by how Faye was behaving, Regina was actually glad that the Ravenclaw was self-aware enough to wear something that wouldn't make her fall flat on the floor with all that skipping and jumping.

In reality, she was just pleased with the fact that Faye would remain an unchanging variable no matter what. The idea of being able to trust somebody air-headed enough to not even hurt a single fly intentionally was comforting. Regina didn't give out her faith easily.

"Of course we can," The Gryffindor replied as her date took hold of her hands enthusiastically. If she didn't know any better, Regina would say Faye was almost acting like a puppy. It was incredibly endearing, and she had the sudden urge to pet her head and run her fingers through those gleaming auburn locks. She idly wondered if they would feel as soft as they looked.

Regina allowed the other girl to pull her along, the skirts of their gowns billowing as they rushed towards where the bonfire was situated. It was beautiful, how the flames were dancing in the air to attract and entrance. The Heiress' violet gaze were fixated as she basked in the radiating warmth, letting it soak her skin and calmed her nerves. She'd always liked watching it, recalling the lonely winter nights where she would sit in front of the black marble fireplace of the Miller Manor as a child and stared into the burning fire until she was drowsy with sleep. The favoured firewood of the Millers where cherry, as it gave off an ever sweet scent lingering within the manor walls. Regina loved the smell, and she was even sure one of her Amortentia scent was definitely cherry firewood. The bonfire didn't give off the same scent as her home, but she enjoyed it nonetheless.

If anyone were to take a good look at her face at that moment, they would witness a side Regina had never shown publicly to anyone--a quiet, contemplating expression with gentle orchid purple eyes as the colours of the flames flickered on her porcelain skin, giving her an ethereal glow.

Hana takes a step back as she is showing off her beautiful lizard. Is he scared? she wondered. He didn’t seem to mind it a second ago.

“Are you scared?” She asks, repeating her thoughts with a raised eyebrow. But he continued with the same 'warm' tone as he greet her lizard, only this time his smile is a little too stiff. Maybe he is scared. And suddenly an idea is forming in her head.

“Do you want to hold him? you know he seems to really like you~” She smirked and bring Birkin closer to him. Birkin does really seems to like Hana, as the creature keeps staring at him and also moving an inch closer and closer to the edge of her fingers. Which she really could not understand! She thought Birkin would have the same opinion about Hana as she is, as Birkin is usually quite picky when choosing someone that has permission to pet him. He is even usually much more opposed to being touched by a man, that he has bitten one of the male butlers in her house once. But if it could be the cause of Hana’s torment, she really can endure it, for now.

Oh is she been treating Hana poorly? well, it’s his fault! he’s been acting nice out of nowhere and it’s making her suspicious. The corsage, the nice compliments, even the genuine smile he gave her after putting on the corsage on her. Maybe he really does want to win her heart? does he REALLY like her? then if he does, don’t mind her for testing him on how much he is willing to endure her ‘aggravating’ behavior. If he is in fact, in love with her. Then he sure won’t mind continuing that kindness act of his.

She walks alongside Hana as they both agreed on visiting the festival next. She does look over him a couple of times when he’s not looking. Maybe.. looking for a sign of discomfort on his face. Does she feel guilty?

Finally, they both arrived at the Festival. It was still not as crowded. Probably all the people were still in the great hall.

The festival looks- alright. There are flowers everywhere, which is very obvious. The committees really just dump flowers everywhere and call it a day didn’t they. She rolls her eyes. But the music and the small stalls do interest her. But if she’s being honest, her thoughts are still distracted by Hana’s behavior today. Maybe, she could just be straightforward about it.

“Okay, you have been acting weird. Like much nicer than you usually are.” She asks him, this time sounding a little less snarky.

“You’re not planning on embarrassing me again, are you?” She then looks at Hana with a dubious look.

After Extressia gave him a few parting words, he would nod to see her off, as she no doubt looked for the person she came for. He didn't have any more to give her, and was glad he didn't end up saying anything worse. Even if he wasn't fond of the younger generation, he had sense, and a modicum of care about not only how he was seen, but how much he hurt others. He knew he had grown up to be just like the rest of his family-- self-interested, manipulative-- but he tried to do everything with the understanding that it was what was best for everyone, even if it meant throwing himself under the bus. At least, that's how he was. It was hard to say exactly who he was anymore, the sleep deprivation over the last year had transformed his behavior as it worsened.

The one person who could argue most that they understood this difference was his date, and honorary sister, Willow. She had been a part of his life ever since his first year, loving and supporting him. It wasn't only for her and her recent behavior that he had asked, but also for himself. He needed someone who cared about him at his side for comfort. There was so little that provided the feeling, he was leaning whenever he could. His leaning was subtle though, almost like the leaning of a ghost that just wanted someone to know their story before passing on. He would waver into feeling drowsy again for a moment before she rescued him with her presence and energy. A smile would return to his face, looking at her outfit and seeing her smile.

"Willow." Flash would murmur with what fondness and warmth he could conjure. "Thank you."

She would hold his face, asking about him and coddling him, but he would wish for nothing else. His own hands raised up to hers and took them in their grasp. "I'm alright for now, just need to stay awake until nightfall. I'm going to set the dragon ablaze then hopefully go to bed." Stretching a bit, he stood up from his chair and tried to get back into the groove of moving. There was an important issue that needed resolving, and he was not going to let the exhaustion stop him from fulfilling promises to his loved ones. If anyone deserved a dance from him, it was Willow. After all, he had stolen her first date as well as her first dance. "Would you do me the honor of sharing a dance?"

Once she agreed, he'd guide her by one hand to the area near the bonfire where there was room left to dance to the music. It wasn't particularly upbeat or fast, but the two of them could sway and partially embrace as the strings vibrated a plucky tune. The sounds of laughter surrounded them, and the mood seemed light and carefree. He hadn't been able to pay much attention to the guests, but it looked like they were enjoying themselves. He'd let himself forget about his worries for a moment while the two could twirl a bit in the light of the setting sun. He could feel this moment in a deep ache in his heart, like a parting memory he was trying to paint. As the dance wore on though, he'd find the energy for only one song. After that, he would wearily stop with a smile.

"Thanks again, I'm glad you came out." Flash would look around briefly. "I see you already have a crown, did you want to stand by the fire perhaps, or watch the champion reveal?"

As Flash began to expound on the possibilities of the night ahead of him, he would be alerted to the presence of a fiend far later than he wished. Creeping like a deadly spider across his collar, the voice and the smell would clarify the culprit before he had the chance to turn and look. The reaction would be sudden, revolted and shocked. Jumping back, he'd feel his heart leave his chest with a painful leap and his stomach would tumble. He had partially expected her to come, even though it seemed she had disappeared, but even then, nothing could prepare him for the visceral loathing he felt seeing her. Marion, as wretched as ever. Quivering slightly, his eyes wide and scowl set, he'd forget briefly where he was. Suddenly, he was back at that day, a helpless fool.

"Don't touch me." His eyes would look at her, her outfit, her hair. Every part of him wanted to erase her. He had thought about the day he might see her again, what he would say, or what he would do. None of it mattered, none of it was good enough to do anything meaningful to her. "It's a worse day for your presence. Why don't you jump into the bonfire to lighten the mood."

The words came out with little meaning or weight behind them, like the words of a grumpy child woken up from a nap. He wouldn't be able to process his anger, or disgust. He wouldn't have an elaborate trap set or pull out his wand. The best he could do was hold back fainting or vomit.

[priorly at the ball]

Scared?” He was rather offended by her question. He had to live with his embarrassment to cats, there was no way he was going to be scared of tiny lizards too. He was merely uncomfortable with any reptiles apart from snakes. How do they have so many common characteristics but he was only able to understand 1 sort of reptile? He was fearless even with the biggest snakes because he could understand them. But he didn’t know what this lizard was thinking! In fact, he thought it was dead just a few minutes ago!

Alas, it’s not like he could explain that to her. Being a Parselmouth in secret was a chore at times, honestly. “ You’re mistaken, Fowl. It’s just my first time seeing one. I reckon some of my dormates had one but it’s not like I regularly visit them. This uh- what did you call it earlier? Bearded Dragon? Yes, this Bearded Dragon is just that charming. I’m simply worried he’ll occupy too much of your attention tonight. You’re my date, am I wrong~?”. Love rivals, yes- that was the excuse he was going for.

Do you want to hold him? you know he seems to really like you~”

If he didn’t compose himself he would’ve jumped backward at the lack of proximity between him and the lizard. He fought off a big frown and narrowed eyes towards his ‘date’ who seemed to be enjoying his suffering. Pretending to not notice her smirk was hard work, but he managed anyway and let out a nervous chuckle as he backed away once again from the lizard. “ While I’m flattered he’s so interested in me, it’s not his attention I’m aiming for tonight. Don’t you agree, Argan?” he asked sweetly, somehow finding it easier to smile now. Of course, it was easy to smile knowing all this sweet bs will be worth it when her night is ruined. She’ll be paid back x10 of the stuff he needed to go through to be this love-sick puppy. Wooing 101 lessons were worth it and no wannabe dragon was going to make him run away.

Even if she answered or guessed or demanded what he was talking about, he would merely shrug and smile cheekily at her before guiding her towards the exit. The festival wasn’t here, after all. On the way there, the two didn’t exchange much but merely walked in comfortable silence. At least, it was comfortable for Hana. Because he did take extra glances to make sure that wannabe dragon wasn’t close enough to fly to his shoulder. Gosh, what a nuisance. He could understand if Pea interpreted his quick glances at her because he was too enamored by her beauty. But he definitely didn’t expect her to sneak glances of her own. Did she want to complain about something? Did she realise she hasn’t commented on his outfit and was thinking of a snotty response to address it?

Usually, he would think it’s because he charmed her enough for her to be interested in his face but knowing her, there was no way in hell. Perhaps she was.. Worried? HAH! Oh my, what a joke. No no, a lady who sees someone distressed at her pet lizard wouldn’t smirk so cockily at their misery. And that was only one of the reasons why it wasn’t in character of Argan to do that. However, there still was a glimmer of hope for it to be true. Any actual affection she may have grown for him tonight would have a bigger effect when her night is ruined.

[ at the festival ]

A breath of fresh air was all he needed after sprouting so many lies this evening. If the scenery of the sky didn’t make him feel at ease, that huge fire certainly made him smile. A huge reminder of how this ball is only a few hours away from imminent disaster. Plus, he had yet to see an infuriating pair. Certainly was the best choice to leave the Great Hall.

That was until a certain date decided to stop keeping her mouth shut.

Okay, you have been acting weird. Like much nicer than you usually are.

Hmm?” Finally, he had a serious look on his face much like her question made him concerned. Of course, he was concerned- was he that easy to read? It can’t be! He had spent months struggling with Wooing 101, swallowing his ego, and revising sweet words as if they were laced with honey. And she was suspicious? Nonono he can’t have all his hard work go to waste. It’s not a certainty that she knew his plans. Her question was valid. They didn’t have the most pleasant introduction and he may have threatened to change her hair color to a horrendous shade of neon pink. He didn’t think she would be bothered by the personality change. Wouldn’t she like people bowing down to her and singing her praises? Her words made him think she actually preferred his real personality.

He composed himself and gave her a sad smile. “ Well, I can’t blame you for thinking that. You did see a rather unpleasant side of me when we first met. I’m not sure if you grew up with muggles or not, but are you familiar with the movie Shrek?” Convincing her of his innocence and asking her about her background, two birds with one stone. “ Onions have layers’ said philosopher Shrek, the main character of the movie. We are all onions. But better smelling and more attractive, of course. Peel one off and there are still tons for you to see. My point is, you have seen 2 layers of me. One for the world and one solely for you” he gave her a carefree smile, knowing all he said were the truth. He truly never acted like a lovesick fool just to ruin someone's night. In that sense, Pea was special. All for the wrong reasons, but she didn’t need to know that. “Didn’t you hear what I said in that pink howler I sent you? Love changes people. What? Did you think I was lying? Didn’t believe someone who said they’ll jinx you to have a crush on you the next second? ” he let out a small laugh. It was good that she was a bit suspicious. It allowed him to be just a tad bit more of himself.

You’re not planning on embarrassing me again, are you?” her dubious look only made Hana chuckle in response.

After going through all that trouble to fight off your many other suitors? What else should I do if you don’t seem to believe my words?” he glanced around the brightly coloured festival, his eyes stopping at two places, the refreshment table and the crafting table. “ Would you mind if I leave you for a few minutes? It’s for a good cause, I promise you. It’s a surprise~”

With whatever approval he got for Pea, he gave her a grateful smile before turning away, making his way towards the crafting table. Permission to leave was pre-planned with Pea unless her character responds a lot to Hana. If like that, then I'll be back xD

The girl’s violent reaction threatened to despoil his grip, though his touch endured, reformed as more of a steadying gesture as he gauged her alarm. In that instant, a previous experience flashed across his mind - one that shared frightening similarities to this one, and ended with every muscle in his body being rendered useless. His gaze darted quickly to assess the movement of her hands, legs tensing in preparation to evacuate from the dangerous end of her wand, which would doubtlessly be aimed at his chest within the following split-second. Yet no wand was drawn this time; no perfectly enunciated incantation passed the red-head’s lips in order to nullify the threat she inevitably assumed was posed upon being taken by surprise.
The only retaliation she offered tonight was a none-too-gentle rejection of his intimate gestures, allowing for a breath of relief from his lungs, even as the spurned hand was given a quick shake to dispel the subsequent sting.
”I’m learning of its importance.” The spirited rebuttal trailed her accusatory question. ”I’ve heard of people who don’t like surprises, but this is ridiculous. Fight or flight-“ Hazel eyes traced the path of his other hand as the fingers still holding her bicep drifted slowly down, tips lightly brushing the surface of her skin before pulling away to be deposited in a suit pocket. His focus then re-centered upon her face while a grin split his own. ”I guess we know which you favor.”

The grin hastily disappeared, however, as the continuation of her reproach invited a look of incredulity upon his features.
”What do you mean, where have I been? I’ve been looking for you! I went to the Great Hall, but as soon as I… saw the… food fight…” The sentence faltered and died when he noticed the way her storm-ridden gaze traversed his person. ”What are you-“
“Turn around.” A swipe of Eve’s hand punctuated the verbal command, apparently intended to ensure he couldn’t misunderstand.
Eyes narrowing, he watched her for one skeptical moment before complying with a stipulation. ”Since you asked so nicely.” The world glided across his vision as he rotated slowly, arms outstretched to either side as though preparing to be frisked. Come to think, as he faced her once more, he wouldn’t at all mind if-

Though no Immobolus spell had been cast, the boy froze when a delicate hand reached forward to pull something from his suit. Her fingers grazed his shoulder, eliciting tingles that spread like wildfire from the point of contact. And it didn’t end there, the fire only given more fuel as she smoothed the lapels of his suit, and finally moved to the top button of his undershirt, which he had conveniently left undone in favor of breathing. In that brief moment, the only sound was the light rustling of the thin layer of cloth which separated her fingers from his chest. His adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed back the nerves that had erupted within, threatening to make him cough and effectively ruin the moment he knew would already end much too soon.
He watched her eyes, those clouded irises intent on the finishing touches she was so carefully applying to her handiwork. If she was the artist, then he was content to be her masterpiece, unflinching as practiced hands had their way.
But just as he’d feared, the artist’s creativity was limited by ticking time and the purview of her subject. The fastening of his tie symbolized the end of a dictum in perfection, fantasy and reality parting once more at the conclusion of a moment wherein they had coexisted.

The final breath of that moment came in the form of a smirk on Evelynn’s face, accompanied by a string of words which would be captured forever in his mental gallery as the first of their kind to ever leave her mouth.
”If taking your advice gets me here, then maybe I will,” he replied dazedly.

It was then he would release his excitement over the artificial dragon, in an attempt to jump-start his mind back onto the track it ought to be.
”How would that be preposterous?” he asked, still shaking off the lingering effects of her touch. ”You, of all people, should know how amazing magic is. I highly doubt making a fake dragon come to life is outside the realm of possibility. That said, would they do it? Still not outside the realm of possibility.” If they were being entirely honest, what was anymore? He would cock his head back arrogantly as she mentioned the prospect of entering the effigy. ”If you’re not too afraid, then-“ As was becoming a theme tonight, his words were cut short when Eve indicated another red-headed girl he hadn’t yet noticed. Nor did he recognize her.
”Oh, hello there, Ivy! Pleasure to make your- wait.” Yet another interruption. The hand which had reached in miss Bellamy’s direction stopped suddenly with an abrupt realization. ”Invited her to join us? You mean all night?” Displeasure colored his countenance before he could pull a mask over it, an all too obviously counterfeit smile tugging at his lips as his gaze switched quickly from Eve and back to the stranger. ”Happy to have you along, of course. We wouldn’t want to be alone, just the two of us, after all.”
Yes, we did. Well, he did.
Action: Fawning over Evelynn, as per usual. Oh, and greeting Ivy.
