Emma yawned, her jaw cracking slightly as she hurriedly covered her mouth with her arms. She strolled casually along the corridor to the Library, her robes ruffled and her bag almost dragging on the ground as she couldn’t be bothered to put it back to the top of her shoulder and just let it rest in her elbow. She had been up late last night, staying until the very end of the ball, as she had been responsible for the Flying Torch Tag, and also didn’t want to leave her fellow organizers to the clean-up. That just didn’t seem fair, even if it meant being tired for classes today. It had made for a long day, but she made it through. She really rather would have had a nap but she had sworn to herself she’d do some work in the library, and just make sure she went to bed early tonight, rather than take a nap. But she had the sinking feeling that she really wouldn’t get much done. Maybe instead of doing some homework she could do some more reading about the wizarding world. At least then it was unlikely to affect her that badly if she read or remembered something incorrectly.

Stifling another yawn, Emma entered the library, looking around to see what was going on. In front of the bookcases where she had found the most recent read on the wizarding world was a boy studying with a stack of books and a notebook open in front of him. Emma noted him specifically because she was curious about the notebook, as she always appreciated a good one, but she was also curious about why he needed such a stack for researching. Or maybe she was just curious about what he was doing in general. But she couldn’t bring herself to walk up to him and ask. That seemed rather rude. Instead she headed towards the bookcase behind the boy. Only as she came even with the student, she yawned, covering her mouth but letting her other arm with her bag fall down by her side. She completely forgot her bag was there and then tripped on the bag she had just dropped, falling and bumping into the table with her head as she fell.

Once she had gotten her bearings, her cheeks turned bright red and she looked up to the student, scared to death and so embarrassed. ”I’m so sorry, I’m just so tired, and I should have taken a nap but I didn’t and I was being lazy about my bag and oh my goodness, I’m just awful, and again, I’m so sorry.” Emma looked around, trying to locate her bag so she could grab it and run out before she embarrassed herself any further beyond that fall and ramble. Her hand had unintentionally gone up to where she had hit her head on the left side, an ache beginning already.
