Friend or Fool?
@Regina Miller as HenriHogwarts was once again more crowded than it had been for a long time. Every time the other schools met here, Haley thought it was impossible that this castle could be any more crowded, and every time she was proved wrong. Each time it was a pleasant relief when eventually it was just the Hogwarts students and professors in the corridors and each time she got used to it so quickly that this cycle started all over again. It may sound negative, but she actually always looked forward to this chaotic time. She looked forward to making new acquaintances, making new friends, to the events, the ball and all that went with it. Only not this time. She was incredibly looking forward to seeing Charles again, but she didn't know how she was going to survive all these crowds and especially not the ball.
The breakup with Simon had been a while now, but as much as she tried to lie to herself, her heart still ached, even if she wouldn't admit it. And while it had gotten better as the days and weeks went by, she still continued to have difficult days and nights when the heartbreak caught up with her. One of those days was today. The great hall was filled with all the students. Friends were reunited, many were laughing and sharing stories, couples were reunited and happy people were everywhere. Haley wanted to vomit at every couple she saw and before it would come to a peak and she would catch a glimpse of Simon and AF, she decided to leave the great hall. She was strong, just not having a good day today. Today she would not get through this.
She said a quick goodbye to her friends and classmates at the Gryffindor table and walked out of the huge room as unobtrusively but as quickly as possible. She tried to keep her eyes down, she didn't want to be spoken to nor did she want anyone to see her mood. She just wanted to get away from it all and that was exactly what she did. She walked through the big door, out into the corridors. There were still many students coming towards her, laughing happily, hugging each other in greeting and talking. She ignored them all and walked on and on until, after a few turns, she finally reached a point where it was quieter.
The tension fell from her shoulders and she let her back fall against the cold stone wall and exhaled in relief. "Gosh Haley, get a grip." She scolded herself and slowly slid her back down the wall until she was finally sitting on the floor, her legs bent and her head propped up on them with her arms. Today of all days was such a day and she got even more into it and yet she could only laugh at herself. How pathetic she sat on the floor, heartbroken over a boy who had already replaced her after one day. Silly child, Haley Rose. But it all didn't help and a single tear made its way out of the corner of her eye and rolled down her cheek until it was aggressively wiped away by the back of her hand.

𝕴t had only been a week since Beauxbatons' arrival at Hogwarts along with other foreign magical schools, but Henri was already taken a liking to the general atmosphere and the many interesting people of various origins and backstories. Well, interesting enough to collect them into his entourage, that was. Other than catching up with his dearest cousin Regina and taking a chance at the Hexwizard Tournament entry, Henri found his hands rather full with interacting as much as possible to broaden his influence beyond the students of the French school. He'd had a full year to hone his socialite skills and he'd be damned to not use the situation to his advantage.Interacting with @Haley Rose

So many people, infinite possibilities, a promising future secured within his greedy hands.
As it was Sunday afternoon, the young Bourbon Heir had planned his day carefully since the break of dawn. He would utilize his time to explore the corners of Hogwarts castle and get himself acquainted with its opulent halls and its lively ambience. It was nowhere near as lavish as the Académie, of course, but it was still a prestigious school with a rich history. Henri supposed the British did not enjoy flaunting their wealth and beauty out in the open like the French so often did. A pity--those who were poorer and less fortunate should always be reminded of how inadequate they truly were, and if they wished to possess such great things, then they should begin working for it.
Just like how Henri was working for the top position of the social ladder.
Bidding his cousin a temporary farewell after lunch, Henri left the Great Hall intending to resume his exploration. The castle was immense with many secrets and his tremendous curiosity demanded the blond to discover them all. In the end, it would work well in his advantage if he was chosen as Champion of Beauxbatons for one should always ahem extensive knowledge of grounds in the enemy territory. Maybe he might even find out a suitable place for more...sinister purposes, should Henri ever need one. The French boy definitely wasn't above using nefarious ways to eliminate the competition, if he could get away with it (which he certainly would, he was extremely smart and resourceful, after all.)
The Grand Staircase was perhaps one of the most fascinating thing Henri found within Hogwarts, among the vanishing rooms and wandering ghosts. It never stayed the same, always changing, always redirecting. It was something that was different from Beauxbatons, and he liked to see where the stairs would lead him to every time. Today it led him to the second floor, where Henri had heard rumours of abandoned toilets and a crying ghost who was victim of a terrifying tragedy back in the 1940's. He was thirsting for worth-while discovery. However, Henri didn't get very far in the corridors when his clever grey eyes spotted a girl all by her lonesome on the ground, a hand wiping at her face. Her hair was the brightest shade of fiery red--a colour that was quite common within this country it seemed, as they were extremely rare in France. The French Heir's lips almost instantly curled into a smirk at the sight of her heartbroken visage.
A prey had been detected.
"Excuse me, mademoiselle," Henri spoke as gently as he could with perfect English, his expression the perfect image of concern and sympathy. "Is everything alright?"

Friend or Fool?
@Regina Miller as Henriso so sorry for my late reply!!Haley hadn't noticed that company had approached and when she heard the words she looked up a little confused. What was it about these moments that had been bringing her over and over again lately. Being found at this stage of emotion by friends, by strangers who became friends or by strangers who were conniving? She tried not to let on that she was annoyed and certainly not that she was hurt. She tried one last time to wipe her face discreetly and looked at the unknown boy.
She saw a boy, with hair as light as she rarely saw. He wore dark trousers, a white pullover and a coat. Everything together seemed perfectly coordinated and was more than just stylish. If he hadn't already given himself away by saying mademoiselle, she would have guessed by now at the latest that he was a student of Beauxbaton.
She cleared her throat and quickly got up from the floor. "Um, yeah, sure. It's okay." She said quickly, obviously it wasn't, but she didn't feel the need to open up to any stranger again, even if he seemed quite nice at first glance. "Um sorry, I just thought I'd have a moment of quiet." Haley said, trying to change the subject. She couldn't just leave now, though. Well, she could, but she didn't want to be rude. She patted her clothes to remove any possible dirt from the floor. "I'm Haley. Haley Rose, Gryffindor." She finally introduced herself and gave him an uncertain smile, still not sure what to make of the whole situation.
"You're not from Hogwarts." She remarked, glancing along him again. She was trying to read him, to get smart. To learn something about him, who was he? He seemed interested in fashion and clothes at least, but the young girl didn't want to be too superficial. "Are you lost or on your way somewhere?" she asked curiously. It was unusual to find students from the other schools here at such times. Most were outside, in the Great Hall or in their quarters. It was even more unusual that he was alone. Most of them were at least in pairs, if not in larger groups, and it almost seemed as if he had really lost his way. Or he was avoiding other people or other people were avoiding him?
