I find the event threads to be rather fun because you never actually know what is going to happen and how your character is going to react to the events. Just try to have fun with them and you should be okay.

I like events for that reason too but it can definitely be overwhelming when it's moving very fast around you. My tip would be to find like 1-2 people and just interact with them throughout the event. Avoid getting into large groups so you can handle it better.

I usually take a really long time to reply, so limiting your interactions is definitely helpful
