Rules: 1) Due to the small number of players and roles, this thread will be treated as a normal quidditch match; however certain actions will be limited and allowed. This is due to reasons such as lack of chasers and quaffles being present. 2) iNPCs are allowed to use their own schools-provided broomsticks or utilize school broomsticks provided by Hogwarts. iNPCs also share your main accounts broomstick, meaning if your main character owns a moontrimmer, so does your iNPC. If you do not own a broomstick on your main account, you will be using a normal school broomstick. For a list of brooms go to this Link
School Broom:ReducioCost: 0
Description: Wobbly and Rickety, you will get the job done on this broom, however, it is not nearly as nimble as any broom that one can purchase.
Prerequisites: Nothing
Stats: 0 accuracy, 0 evasion.
Speed: Top Speed is 3.
Effects: This is a very basic broom. It is easy to fly, however, you will be far from your best when riding this. This costs nothing to purchase and this is something everyone is considered to have access to automatically.
Seekers:ReducioDue to a lack of quaffles and chasers the following actions are not allowed:
Quaffle Grab, Score, BodyBlow, Finbourgh Flick, Chelmondiston Charge, Blatching, Parkin’s Pincer, Flacking, Haversacking, Quaffle-Pocking, Blurting.

Beaters will alternate between the Defender Action and any other action in order to make things fair (First Beater to do an offensive action is decided on a coin toss by Tatsu). Chikao was laying down in the center of the quidditch training pitch, turning his head around at a gaze and surprised by how gentle the place felt. Back at Mahoutokoro, they would have had to train during harsh and unfortunate weather events above the ocean. The number of times he sent other students spiraling into their watery doom was never a good feeling, especially during the harshest of storms. There was also the issue of dodging lightning, something Chikao wasn't the best with. He hadn't been hit by one yet, but he was sure he could handle a shock or two from the sky if needed.
He jumped off the ground and took in a deep breath to enjoy his surroundings a bit more. Wearing his Mahoutokoro quidditch equipment with his broom still on the ground. Proclaiming the words "Ue!" Up as his school's broom launched into his left hand. Mahoutokoro brooms were pristine, smooth, and perfectly represented what their school was. Chikao's broom represented him a bit more because it was more rickety and slightly chipped. A few burn marks as well due to close calls during the worst of storms. He turned his body to face his fellow classmates who he all deemed friends as they began to appear one by one.
"Alright! Since the entire team isn't here, we'll be doing a two-team match to test everyone's skills. Kobayashi-chan and Shamsi-san will be competing to catch the snitch first," Chikao smiled and stated his words in a grand and professional way. Chikao had what it took to be a leader, but he didn't exactly like the thought of being one. He held up the golden snitch provided by his school (before their arrival at Hogwarts). There was always time to improve and hone one's skills, or in Chikao's case, time to always have fun. As he held it up, the wings slowly magically unraveled and began to flutter swiftly while still in his hand.
"Meanwhile, I and Bakugo-san will be batting a bludger at one of you and protecting the other. Now as much as I'd love to help you Shamsi-san, I believe you and Bakugo-san need to get to know each other better for more team synergy. Same for me and the lovely short-haired Kobayashi-chan. Oh, also. Any damages or dirt that gets on your equipment must be fixed or cleaned by yourself. If your broom gets broken, then the person responsible will fix it for you" Chikao chuckled and grinned as he spoke. He was glad and excited to have a match with his fellow classmates and was glad to work with Kobayashi-chan in this match. That last comment on breaking brooms was obviously pointed towards Bakugo-san.
Chikao then walked over to a chest that had been lying next to him. It was made of fine mahogany wood and branded with the Mahoutokoro school symbol. Upon opening it, two bludgers were locked tightly inside. Chikao slowly unlocked each strap of one bludger, and the moment the bludger was let loose, he let go of the snitch in his hand. "Hajime!" Begin! he yelled out. Swiftly placing his broom between his legs and setting off beside his teammate.
First Offensive Beater decided based on a coin toss by Tatsu.
Chikao is tails and Hiro is Heads;
Results: Heads.
Meaning Chikao must take the Defender Action and Hiro may take any action that is allowed.
Players must make a post in this thread within two weeks (Due Date: April 3rd ) and OWL/DM their planned action to me (Hunter Argentum/ Chikao Narumi).

When it came to Quidditch, Hiro had trained in all kinds of weather. It didn't bother him much, it only added to the excitement when something unexpected happened, outside the realm of control. He'd suffered numerous injuries before, but all injuries eventually healed and were worth risking for the freedom he felt when high up in the air, batting the bludger towards others. But Hogwarts had a more peaceful feeling to it.
It didn't seem as strict as Mahoutokoro.
But perhaps that was all illusion and over time he'd come to see things differently.
Who knew.
Hiro reached up and scratched his head, some pink strands falling into his eyes. Chikao had contacted him earlier, telling him the location of where they were going to hold a practice match. They didn't have all their members present but they had enough for a mini game. Seekers and beaters. Hiro's fingers curled around his school broom, wondering how much longer it would take to save up for a new broom. He wanted one.
Normally a student's parents would buy them one but for Hiro, things were complicated. He needed to save up on his own to purchase one. Still, it was lucky that Mahoutokoro provided brooms to its students, and those brooms were actually pretty decent. But Hiro was sure his skills would improve tenfold if he had a better one. Then again, it did happen to be more of a challenge to beat his opponents on such a broom.
So he supposed that wasn't a bad thing.
Hiro appeared on the field a few minutes after Chikao stood up and made the broom fly up into his hands. None of the others seemed to be there yet.
He raised his hand into the air to wave at him. "Yo!" Hiro came up to Chikao and slung an arm over his shoulder, a typical thing he tended to do. The two stood there as they waited for the other members to show up and when they did, Hiro took his arm back. "Ue!" He exclaimed and grasped the broom as it took flight beneath his hand. A few scorch marks could be seen on his own broom, but other than that it looked pristine.
Hiro was pretty good at avoiding hits aimed at his broom. Probably because he didn't like ditching things if he didn't have to, as he had a limited supply of money. As Chikao started to talk and explained matters, Hiro nodded. When he was paired with Aryaan Shamsi, he looked over at the other seeker and raised his hand to salute her with a teasing smile. "Sakura! We meet again. Can't wait to hit on you!" Hiro told her.
"Ah, sorry I meant hit you!" He corrected with a smirk.
Yes, Hiro was using her first name. It was just something he did with everyone.
Sometimes it got things thrown at him. But that never usually deterred him. Hiro was quite a stubborn person when it came to being a nuisance. He glanced back over at Aryaan and grinned at him. "Keep your eyes on the snitch and don't worry about anything else. I'll protect you." Hiro told him, feeling his adrenaline begin to build up with the anticipation of flying again. It had been too long since he'd last flew.
Even though it hadn't.
He pouted when Chikao spoke about how if a broom got broken, the person who broke it would fix it. Well, there goes some of the fun out the window. But it did make sense.
This wasn't an actual match, so breaking brooms would be bad.
After all, they were all on the same side here.
Not that he wanted to. Or that he was planning on doing so. As soon as Chikao let the bludger loose, Hiro rose up into the air and shot after the object. He chased it around in the air until he finally got into a good position and glanced around to see where everyone else was located. Perfect! Hiro struck the bludger with a backhanded club swing, sending it behind him to circle around and find its target. He loved the contact.
It was an accurate move but less damaging.
This was called a Bludger Backbeat and usually used a few moves into the game.
But Hiro had decided to use it as his opening move to catch his opponent off guard. Hopefully, it would work out to his advantage.

You nodded to show that you understood. You didn't mind competing against Shamsi at all. On the contrary, it gave you all the more reason to do your best to beat the other team. At the time, you didn't really know the other two members of the team, Bagoku-san and Narumi-san. This match would be a way to get to know them better. Besides, Bakugo-san greeted you with his hand and you answered with a smile.
— Sakura! We meet again. Can't wait to hit on you! Ah, sorry I meant hit you!
Your smile turned into a grimace of disgust. Already, the only people who have the right to call you Sakura are your family and Sana, your best friend. Secondly, there's nothing to explain, Bakugo had said it all. You rolled your eyes and grabbed your broom to stop yourself from hitting the boy with the stupid pink hair.
— First of all, it's Kobayashi-san. Then, that's not how we talk to me.
As soon as Narumi-san gave the signal, you kicked the ground to take off. You were ready to win. Like, win so that Shamsi and Bakugo would remember this match for the rest of their lives.

Shamsi stood carelessly, with the broom slung over his shoulder. It was a rickety old broom and nothing to write home about. But surprisingly well-maintained. For all that Hogwarts students could not hit the wide-side of a barn with their spells, their staff sure knew their way around broomsticks.
He was easily the best flier of his year; it was no coincidence that he landed the position of School seeker in his first year. But then apparently Kobayashi-san had anticipated being outflown and had decided to pull out all the stops to bring a glob-flicking Silver Arrow. It was like bringing a racecar to a footrace.
Aryaan made no mention of this – he had not brought his own broom to Hogwarts to compete this time around; nor would he give a Navy the satisfaction. But then she made another comment. This time about Bakugo-san.
Of course, she would. Pretty perfect Navy too good for the rest of us Mahou students, after all.
“Really, Bakugo-san? You’ve got your eyes on Kobayashi-san? Really? After we cuddled so publicly too? I’m hurt” the seeker called out to his teammate in faux-hurt as they took to the sky. But he could hardly contain himself and burst out laughing.
“Don’t worry. We will end this before you get to knock her out of the sky”
The curtains fell. And the silence was deafening

Aryaan and Sakura both took off side by side. However, the build-up of speed required time; something that Aryaan's school broom required and what Sakura's silver arrow didn't. The difference in brooms was extremely obvious, and Sakura immedietly took the lead leaving Aryaan far behined. Originally side by side, now front and back, the two seemed rather determined to find the snitch. There didn't seem to be a goal or point in which direction they were both heading. The air around the two was either tense or relaxed, and it could be for the same reason of both being confident.
Chikao started off a bit late since he had to dodge the bludger after having released it but already knew that starting early or late wasn't going to matter. Chikao's job was to protect Sakura from being blugoned, test Hiro's beater techniques, and Aryann's cat-like evasiveness. He already knew he wouldn't be able to keep up with Sakura's silver arrow, and decided to just rise, watch, and wait. At first impressed by how Aryaan was keeping up with Sakura, only then be dismissed by the silver arrow swiftly picking up speed. Chikao just stood there sitting on his broom with a slight chuckle in his voice but began to wonder where Hiro was. His eye's being slightly distracted, Chikao then realized that he had to keep his eyes on the bludger and Hiro for this match, not as much as the seekers. The seekers had their duel, and the beaters had theirs.
Chikao noticed that Hiro was swiftly rising to the air, in pursuit of the bludger. It seemed Chikao's lazy nature and feeling to admire the field cost him the first offensive attack. Hiro chased the bludger and eventually reached it in quick precision. Hand placed on his bat, and reeling in behind his back as the bludger began to close in on him; "A backbeat, huh?" Chikao stated. He was surprised to see Hiro going for this attack, and wondered if this was Hiro's attempt at accurately breaking someone's broom despite Chikao's previous warning. Oh well, either way, Chikao had to act fast. Taking off from rest and speeding up towards Sakura was the most difficult part. Chikao knew he would never be able to keep up with Sakura's silver arrow, and decided to instead just fly directly at her from the opposite direction. Chikao saw Hiro strongly hit the bludger, and it was immenentialy going straight for Sakura, but it seemed Chikao's timing was slightly perfect. It certainly seemed like Chikao was trying to crash directly into Sakura; as he flew towards her while waving before what seemed like an imminent crash like a madman: "Don't forget Kobayashi-chan! It's a team game!" Chikao yelled out, as he swiftly curved his broom to barely dodge Sakura and block the incoming bludger. Chikao was well known for taking hits and rarely dodging or blocking them. Not even lifting his bat, he took the hit from Hiro onto his left side but winced in pain with fear that he may have just had his arm broken.
Chikao flew a bit longer after that crazy attempt, and was about to go past Aryaan, "Shamsi-san! Get Ready, you know I don't hold back!" Chikao gave a large smile as he yelled to Aryaan, and also tried to spook him by also almost crashing into him as well. Chikao dodged Aryaan, or perhaps Aryaan dodged Chikao. Either way, Chikao chased after the bludger that had just hit him, and by swiftly curving from front to behind the bludger, Chikao prepared to utilize a similar attack as Hiro had before, "You need to work on your strength a bit Bakugo-san!" Chikao yelled before letting loose a Bludgerbackbeat directed towards Shamsi."
Beater's must alternate between offensive actions and the defender action
Hiro must utilize the Defender action this round, and Chikao may utilize any allowed action.
Chikao will use the "Bludger Backbeat."

Hiro was surprised to see Sakura come with her Silver Arrow. Wasn't that overkill? Then again, being a seeker, she probably needed to use the twink broom to practice her skills. A seeker was literally defined by how fast their broom was. If both seekers in a game saw the snitch at the same time, speed was of the essence. Hiro grinned as Sakura smiled at him and was amused when that smile turned into one of annoyance.
He got that look a lot, from various people. The roll of the eyeballs was also nothing out of the ordinary and Hiro chuckled. It didn't matter if she liked him or not, as long as they could work together when a real game took place, that was all that mattered to him. Chikao definitely had the right idea putting them against eachother to see how they'd react together. Sakura admonished him about calling her out by her first name.
It wasn't the first time she'd done this.
And most likely wouldn't be the last. Hiro was incorrigible when it came to names.
Aryaan's reaction to his interaction with Sakura was awesome and made Hiro want to play along with him. After all, it was just too good a chance to pass up! "Aw, don't worry baby. You'll always be first in my heart! Who else would I go to when I'm cold?" Hiro teased back, enjoying their antics together. As both Sakura and Aryaan rose up into the sky, Chikao released the bludger and snitch and joined them.
Hiro was already waiting above, hovering as he ran through all the possibilities available. Eventually, he chose the Bludger Backbeat, and was happy to see that his attack had gone through. It had been the right choice to do it at the start of the game! He glanced around the field, taking note of where everyone was. Their positions and everything that could relate to the match was important to keep in mind at all times.
But at the same time, one had to multitask because if you focused too much on one thing, you could get distracted and end up getting hit, when you otherwise wouldn't have. Hiro didn't really intend to break Chikao's broom, repairing brooms was expensive and he didn't have much at all. But at the same time, if he held back a lot he'd end up losing the match. Plus, they were supposed to train and practice skills now.
Right?
Hiro turned his head and watched as Chikao sped towards Sakura.
Chikao's broom was woefully slow compared to Sakura's Silver Arrow and Hiro wondered if he'd make in time. But somehow, he did manage to do so and took the hit intended for Sakura. Hiro wasn't surprised that Chikao didn't try to block or dodge the bludger, it was what he was known for after all. But still, he knew how much it hurt to get struck by one. Chikao was impressive. Hiro flew towards the bludger once more.
He wanted to hit it again. But this time, Chikao got to it before he was able to. Hiro quickly adjusted his direction and sped towards Aryaan. From the look of it, Chikao was going to use the same technique he'd used before. Well, Hiro wouldn't let him carry out a successful attack on his seeker! And he also wouldn't let him hit him, if he could help it that is. After all, there were other ways than getting hit to block an incoming bludger.
Since both Hiro and Aryaan were on school brooms, it didn't take him long to catch up to his seeker. Chikao yelled something about working on his strength and Hiro smirked, raising his own voice to respond to him. "Oh, I think I'm fine, Chikao! I'm just holding back a bit, didn't you imply you wanted us to go easy on eachother?" He said with a cheeky grin and swerved around to face Chikao and the lovely bludger.
Hiro prepared himself and gripped the bat in his hands, intending on aiming his bat at the bludger in an attempt to send it right back towards Chikao.
