Lucy had decided to take a walk through the grounds. It was a little bit chilly, but Lucy had her favourite jumper, white with light pink stripes, on too keep her warm. She'd only been at Hogwarts for a short while, but she was already enjoying it. She had settled into her dorm in the Hufflepuff common room quite nicely, and now she wanted to explore the castle. She'd already taken a look into some of the classrooms and had some conversations with other students that day. She'd also met some teachers, who she thought was quite friendly, and so, she thought perhaps she could pop down to the Greenhouses to look at all the plants if the Herbology teacher allowed it.
Lucy kept walking along the grounds, when she looked out to see a girl climbing a tree in the distance and she watched intently before her eyes widened as the girl fell out of the tree, landing on a girl below it. Lucy quickly strode across the grounds to see if they needed any help, but before she could arrive, another girl came up, and Lucy backed away a bit, out of sight. She did want to make sure that both girls were alright, but she was shy around people, and she didn't want to intrude.

A few minutes passed, and Lucy watched the three girls talking to each other before Lucy shook her head at herself Come on, Lucy, Just go and talk to them....don't eavesdrop She said to herself, before slowly walking towards the group and waving a little awkwardly at them. "Uh.... Hi. I don't mean to intrude anything, but I saw one of you fall out of a tree and then land on another and I just wanted to make sure you're all okay. I'm... Lucy by the way." She stuttered nervously.

*Hup* *Hup*
Each jump gave Hunter a fun feeling, but he always made sure to land with precision and accuracy. His first magical instance saved him from falling from a high height, but he wasn't sure if it would occur again if he fell. Nonetheless, Hunter was skilled when it came to climbing trees because it was one of the few activities he did back at home. If anything, roaming through the forest and climbing was probably the only form of exercise he received back at home.

It didn't take long, but he eventually reached the last branch of the tree closest to the ground and to his levitating book. Upon arrival, he stood up and moved his wand in accordance with his book, and levitated it to his open hand. Shutting the pages and putting his wand back beneath his robe, Hunter looked over at the group of Hufflepuffs. Adjusting his glasses to notice their colored robes, he let out a slight sigh. He was sleepy a moment ago, and he wasn't in a particular mood to speak with other students. Keep it simple he supposed.

He looked at the other students and tried to adjust his thoughts for each one. Three, no, now four Hufflepuffs were around the tree. He could notice some looks of concern, maybe confusion? Although a hint of nervousness could be felt in the air. He was going to keep it short, Hunter was mostly out of energy for the day, "I do apologize for almost breaking your head there miss," Hunter said in a mixed Scottish and African accent. Hunter knew he had to at least apologize for almost harming another student, but overall no harm seemed to have been caused: "Didn't mean to interrupt your conversation, but someone interrupted my sleep up there." Hunter kept his eyes on his potion book, avoiding looking at any of the other students. He didn't hear what their conversation was while he was up there and while he climbed down, but he at least heard a bit of what Lucy was saying as she approached the group: " Ms. Lucy, correct? Would you and your friends mind going somewhere else?" Hunter didn't know if they were friends, but he knew they were all of the same houses at least.

It may have come off a bit rude, but then again Hunter was pretty much just sort of waking up. Since he was awake, he decided to resume where he left off in his book as well. With a slight yawn, he opened the pages in his book and began to read again without even waiting for the other students to leave. No eye contact, no wait, he didn't exactly really acknowledge the other students well. Although, a thought did come to mind, "Hmmm... unless one of you got hurt that is, whatever woke me up felt... odd," he said in a rather quiet voice, but still kept his focus on his reading.

Sighing quietly in relief, Emma was pleased that Amber had let go of the chilly reception. It would have been awkward and Emma would have come up with some excuse to leave. She didn’t do well with conflict even if it’s hidden and wouldn’t have wanted to prevent Rayne from making another friend. Shrugging, Emma answered Amber’s question, pointing towards the tree. ”Apparently someone else decided the tree was a comfortable spot. Though I hope you’re not napping up there. That seems a bit dangerous.” Emma crinkled her nose, not really seeing the appeal. She wouldn’t say that she was afraid of heights but definitely she definitely did not enjoy them. ”Wait a second, Beedle’s tales? What’s that?” Emma hadn’t heard the name and was curious to hear more. She was always looking for books.

Emma just nodded along to Amber’s joke, not really having anything to add. Waving at the girl who had joined their group, Emma said. ”Welcome! It seems we’re throwing a little party. Nice to meet you Lucy, I’m Emma.” Taking another look up, she tried to decide if she could find another person in its branches, wondering why everyone had chosen this tree.

Emma’s eyebrows raised a bit at the boy’s somewhat rude response, but she remained silent, leaving the question for someone else to answer. Maybe Lucy who seemed to know him. Though she grew even more confused by the boy’s quietly spoken words that she barely made out. Deciding she must have misheard, she just stood there waiting for someone to say something.

Amber blushed red. Why was everyone coming over to her? She'd never been around this many people out of class since. . .ever. She found it mildly uncomfortable but tried to muster the strength to push through it.

she sighed, pulling on the left sleeve of her turtleneck. Her cheeks were almost as red as her hair, revealing how horribly flustered she was.

"Er. . .I'm Amber. Amber Cadell, Hufflepuff." She paused to look up at Lucy in the eyes, which for some random reason unknown to her, made Amber feel more confident. "It's nice to meet you, Lucy. What house are you in?" . She looked around at the other two Hufflepuffs. "And you two. . .Hufflepuff, right? I think I've seen you in the common room, I'm not totally sure though."

She turned to look at Emma. "The Tales of Beedle the Bard, like The Fountain of Fair Fortune? Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump? The Tale of the Three Brothers? The Warlocks Hairy Heart? The Wizard and the Hopping Pot? They're all classics! What stories did you grow up then, if you didn't have Beedle's Tales?" She stared at Emma, shocked that she didn't know The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Amber then turned to face Hunter. "It's alright. I fell from the tree you were sleeping in. I didn't know anyone else was there. Sorry for the disturbance." She held out her hand. "Amber Caddel, Hufflepuff. And you are?"

Lucy looked up at the tree in surprise, realising only now that a boy was up there, resting on one of the branches. "Oh- yes, I'm Lucy. Lucy Wells. I don't...I don't really know these people-"Lucy looked at the three girls, before looking up at the boy again. "But I'm sorry for the disturbance. What's your name?"

Lucy smiled as one of the girls - Emma- welcomed her, and she laughed a little. "Yes, it seems so. Nice to meet you too, Emma. Oh- are you a Muggle-born, if you don't mind me asking? Don't worry, I'm a Pureblood but I never judge people by their blood status."Lucy added, picking up the conversation about The Tales of Beedle and The Bard.

Lucy turned to Amber now, still a little worried about the girl. A fall from that height, well it must have hurt, but, watching her, all Lucy could tell was that she didn't seem hurt, just embarrassed by all the attention, and honestly, Lucy knew that she'd feel exactly the same way. "Well, I'm glad to hear that. You did seem to fall from quite a height. Oh, I'm in Hufflepuff as well, although I don't think I've seen any of you around the common room...But, I mostly keep to myself, so perhaps that's why. Are you all first years?" She asked the group.

Looking at the girls, she then noticed that the third girl, who seem to have dyed her hair green, hadn't introduced herself."Hi there. It's nice to meet you. What's your name?" Lucy asked her.

"Then I would need to add one measurement of aconite..." Hunter was rambling to himself, but he made sure to keep an ear out for the other students within the vicinity. He took a seat upon the branch he was on to rest his legs a bit more. So much reading and studying it had taken a strong toll on Hunter's mental health, but surprisingly not his physical health. He always felt tired, and sometimes found himself sleeping in odd positions or places. Even if he was tired, he somehow would always find the strength and will to move his arms and legs.

Focusing a bit more on the situation, it seems everyone was introducing themselves. He listened to their conversation a bit more, and to know who's voice was associated with who. Hunter didn't have a strong memory when it came to faces, so he typically recognized people based on their voices and accents; he'd have to know or meet you for a while to remember what you looked like at times.

First, there was Emma, then Amber, and Lucy. The 4th student hadn't introduced themselves yet, and Hunter wasn't exactly glad he only got the full name out of two of them. He had a natural habit of calling people by their last names and titles... even if they were younger or the same age as him.

Eyes glued to his pages, Hunter began to realize that some of them were most likely referring to him when asking for a name: "Hunter Argentum. Apologies again, but I still request that you all leave." He stretched his arms and gave out a slight yawn. It seems a feeling of drowsiness was overcoming Hunter. Tired, and still not in the mood to deal with other students or even talk about the matter.

Emma quietly nodded in response to Amber’s question about her house. ”That’s right.” She added to her nod to ensure that Amber knew she was answering her question. Emma grew a little bit happier when she Amber explained about the Tales of Beedle the Bard. She hadn’t thought about the fact that witches and wizards would have fairytales like what muggles did. And presumably that’s what Amber was describing. ”I grew up with like Disney, Cinderella, Mulan, Hanzel and Gretel, Anastasia. Really there are way more but those are the main ones. My favorite’s Mulan.” Emma spoke, blushing at the last bit as she realized that it was possible only Rayne would get her reference.

Emma smiled at Lucy, happy to hear her comments about blood status. Much different than the first introduction to Amber. But hopefully they were past that. ”Yes, I’m Muggle-born. This is all a bit strange and unexpected.” Emma added, sweeping her hand around at the grounds and castle. She hoped that didn’t come across as an awful thing to say. She just meant it wasn’t something she would have expected to happen in her muggle life. It had come as a surprise to find out that she had magic.

Emma was surprised at the amount of Hufflepuffs in the group. It seemed highly unlikely that so many Hufflepuffs would gather unintentionally near the same spot. But that was life. Sometimes, strange things happened. Especially in the magical world it seemed.

”Yes, I’m a first year. Are you?” Emma supposed she must be, or at least she looked around the right age, but Emma was terrible at telling ages.

Emma looked at Hunter, surprised at his request. After all, it wasn’t like he owned the tree. They were allowed to be out and about wherever they pleased. Well, other than the Forest. But she knew what she was meant. ”Ummmm…Excuse me Hunter, but that’s a bit rude isn’t it?” Emma asked tentatively, unsure if her words would start more conflict, in which case she would absolutely regret speaking them.

Amber tilted her head a bit to the left and chuckled. It was a very small yet pretty laugh, one she had practiced when she was a little girl until it had become natural. ¨Cinderella? Mulan? Those are. . .stories? They sound more like nursery rhymes.¨ The corners of her lips flickered in a smile, but the look in her eyes was naturally cold, creating a hardened, almost rude look.

¨Oh, I´m a first-year as well.¨ She ignored the part about blood status, her mother´s voice ringing in her ears yet again.

¨Amber, I don´t want you mixing with those muggles and mudbloods. They are dangerous and revolting.¨ Amber shook her head, deciding to herself she liked these muggle-borns, and just wouldn't tell her parents about these students. After all, it was her choice on who she would be friends with, right? Besides, it´s not like her parents would figure it out. They weren't that smart.

As she shook her head, her eyes landed on Hunter. She realized she hadn´t addressed him yet, and sighed. ¨It´s. . .a pleasure. . .to meet you, Hunter,¨ she spoke cooly, rolling her eyes. ¨We won´t leave. If you want to be alone, I suggest you leaving.¨
"A bit rude?" Hunter thought to himself. Perhaps it was rude and he has forgotten his manners for the short time being, but he was still not in the best of moods like usual.

He could see Amber roll her eyes, and her comment was certainly showing his tone of voice wasn't extremely welcomed. Hunter gave it a quick thought as to whether he was really in the mood to argue with a group of students. He's never been quite this annoyed before, although it wasn't necessarily their fault. No one knew Hunter was up there and he hadn't left a sign or notes that exclaimed "Do not bother or climb."

He closed his book and began to reach towards his robe to take out his wand once more. He thought back to Vale Ashwood having told him to go against his enemies and make them fear him. Enemies were people who annoyed you, right? Hunter could feel his patience wearing thin, something he rarely or actually never experienced. So much chatter going on. As his hand was about to grab his wand within his robe, it brushed against another object. Hunter wasn't focusing and figured it was just his wand he touched.

Removing his hand from his robe, he looked down to see if it was his wand that he grabbed. His annoyed and displeased look, became washed away with a mellow one. A look of being very tired as Hunter looked at the vial of what little Dittany he had left. A vial partially containing rounded-shaped leaves useful in many potions with healing properties. It was of course one of his favorite plants, and he was glad to have bought some before having arrived at Hogwarts. Although know that he thinks about it, he rarely actually used any for himself. He offered some to Aaron Jones, and one time to Hildegard Schneider (although that didn't end very well for him). He sighed, thinking back to his mother and her kindness. Hunter wondered why he felt frustrated, he wondered if he was actually considering casting a smokescreen on all those below him.

He tossed the vial in Amber's direction, it contained very few amounts of dittany left: "Dittany, it'll help with any headaches or bruises if you consume it raw... I really do suggest you leave and have your head checked at the Hospital Wing, Ms. Caddel." Hunter's voice was slightly apologetic, but he made sure just to keep it short and nice before ascending the tree again to resume his somewhat peaceful studies.

Emma wasn’t certain if Amber was being rude or if that was just her natural attitude. But Emma could also admit that sometimes she read too far into things so instead of saying anything negative, she just nodded and said ”They are. Fairytales I mean, not nursery rhymes. Disney is famous for them in the muggle world. They’ve remade several of them as well.” Not sure why she added on the last bit, as it didn’t seem that Amber would really care, she just bit her lip, standing there somewhat awkwardly.

”Oh cool, are you enjoying classes?” Emma cringed internally at the question. Way to go, that’s not the most awkward question of all. Emma rolled her eyes at her inner voice, not wanting to deal with it making things more awkward after all or accidently speaking her innermost thoughts.

Emma’s eyes widened at Amber’s words to Hunter even if she did think that Hunter had been quite rude so far. After all, it wasn’t like they had known he was there and even if he had been there first, that didn’t give him the right to claim the whole area. Thought Hunter did seem to redeem himself a bit with the dittany. Though he did leave shortly after. ”Well, ummmm..that was a bit unexpected. Though I didn’t expect that to end like that.” Emma didn’t know what else to say really.
