Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 6
Lucia gasped in suprise as a blindfold wrapped itself, once again, around her head. No... She'd been doing so well! Surely a strip of fabric couldn't get in her way now? But it was, it was getting in her way. Merlin's breath. Maybe she stills wasn't hurt, but things had certainly just taken a wrong turn.

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 6
All Samantha's focus went to her aiming, she couldn't miss Lucia again. Her hard work paid off. Her aim was perfect and the blindfold wrapped around Lucia's eyes. Before the badger had been blindfolded she had sent a spell Samantha's way. The brunette was able to dodge the spell and prevent being hit.
The times that Lucia had hit her were nothing in comparison to the many times Phaedra had been hit this duel, but still, the older girl healed her as well. The healing spell had made her feel a lot better and Samantha gave the other eagle a little smile. "Thank you," she said, now completely forgotten about the last round where Phaedra's blindfolding spell had come a little too close to her.

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 6
Leaving the offense to her teammate, Phaedra promptly cast Reparifors overhead to ease their aches. One could view it as an apology of sorts, to which Samantha seemed to have understood. Brightened by her wand's glow, Phaedra acknowledged the younger girl with a nod. “Of course.” Two against one meant that she could pull back a bit, especially with their time limit nearing.

In Lucia's place, Bridget knew she would be dreading the next few moments. Blindfolded and on her own, with both opponents surely lining up their best shots, she would need sloppiness on Ravenclaw's part coupled with luck, stumbling around blindly as she was, to escape what was sure to be a painful experience. Lucia wasn't much different than a training dummy at this point, unable to sling spells back. She did the only thing she really could, reaching up for the knot at the back of her head, but it would practically take superspeed to regain her sight before spells were upon her.
The Ravenclaws, on the other hand, were no doubt feeling very good about this. They had Lucia right where they wanted her, and both girls looked incredibly focused. These were free shots, yes, but there was still room for error. They were not going to mess this up. Two spells, powerful little bursts of nature, raced across the stage. Phaedra's cast had looked a little less than perfect for a minute, but the skilled witch willed the magic to do her bidding. Her aim did not suffer for the brief hiccup, and joining Samantha's Ventus--this one finally destined to land--Lucia was hit with the duelling stage equivalent of a hurricane.
The untied blindfold would be ripped from her hands by the wind, water splashing into her eyes. She was soaked, cold with the wind blowing on her, too, but Lucia's first thoughts were probably toward the pain of it. Kind of like the sheer force of a Flipendo, but more of a steady stream tearing into her. At least she had her sight back, not that she was in the best of shapes to be returning fire.

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 6
Samantha and Phaedra's minds seemed to think alike, as they both cast a spell that used a force of nature. Samantha had decided to give ventus another try, third time is a charm, right? The fact that Lucia was blindfolded helped a lot. Her spell and Phaedra's spell both hit the badger and a little grin appeared on Samantha's face. Even though Lucia had removed her blindfold, she now had to deal with the wind and water. Samantha hoped it would make it easier to hit the third year in the upcoming rounds.

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw: Match 6
It wasn't intentional using a combination of nature spells--Samantha and Phaedra just seemed to be on the same wavelength. The prefect didn't want to jinx anything, but their rocky start seemed far behind them, both girls now working in tandem like a machine. Phaedra drew back her casting wand once more. Time was running out and they were in the lead, but that didn't mean they had to leave the spectators hanging.

If this duel was a graph, the line of Lucia's chance of success vs time would be slowly sinking towards the x axis. Not that Lucia was thinking about graphs at time like this, of course - she was too busy trying to work out where she could go from here.

Both sides would do the obvious: for Ravenclaw, to press their lead, and for Lucia, to fight back the best she could. Struggling with water dripping into her eyes and keeping her balance in the gale, the remaining Hufflepuff sent a Flipendo across the stage. It was clearly for Samantha, forcing her to dodge, which was a feat in itself. Close didn't count in duelling, though, so it was little assurance for Lucia.
But perhaps it counted for something, still. Perhaps that close call kept Samantha just busy enough to detract from her aim, buying Lucia the inches she needed to squeak past the returned Flipendo. Where she could avoid one hit, she could not twist away from both; Phaedra's flew in, not giving her target the chance to move out of the way.
The volley was one for three overall, and not exactly the peak of variety in spell selection. The clock was winding down, though, so you couldn't really blame the duellists for going with a trusty Flipendo. "Time is almost up," she commented when they had all finished their latest cast, one final warning. The duel looked pretty decided, and kind of had since Lindsey went down, but as long as there was time on the clock, it was too soon to celebrate victory or accept defeat.
