Emma watched as River darted for the quaffle competing for its possession. She was honestly beginning to lose track of the game. Back and forth the quaffle flew in the midst of a brewing bloodbath. It wasn't going to end well. At least things were looking in Ravenclaw's direction, but she knew not to judge the sport based upon a few minutes. Quidditch was such a fast-paced sport, but at least from the ground, she could see the two teams battling head to head. It wasn't going to be long before she started shaking in her seat. All the pressure seemed to be weighing her down the longer she sat.

The penalty laps always felt excruciatingly long. Perhaps that was one of the many deterrents for others in regards to blatching, but apparently, not for Akari. When she says that she is willing to do whatever it takes to help Gryffindor secure a win, she means it wholeheartedly. And if that means breaking a couple of rules here and there, so be it.
Her lap finally coming to an end, Akari sped back into the game at full speed, ready to help the team inch closer towards another victory.[font= garamond]Position: First String KeeperAction: Doing as Stratigized

What in the world is this girl doing? Jorah wondered as he watched River having an identity crisis. Maybe she had given up on finding the snitch or maybe playing as chaser was just too much fun. Whatever the reason, Jorah watched as River dove again and again for the quaffle, and scoring each time she took possession. Like an ent pulling on the support beams of the Isengard dam, we had Released the River! Ravenclaw now led 30 - 20!
Jorah needed to buy River some more time to keep wrecking havok. She wouldn't have to worry about catching the snitch if Gryffindor didn't have a Seeker. Rinse and repeat. Jorah sent a

There sure was Quidditch happening. Plenty of Quidditch going on. Penalty laps and goal scoring and snitch spotting and all sorts. AJ's focused was slightly detracted from the game by his need to make sure his butt didn't get frozen to the bench. Let that not distract from the fact that there was indeed some Quidditch going on at this very moment.

Penalty laps were a shameful thing, particularly when there was nothing to show for it. It was this that Cecily thought about as she urged her broom faster and faster around the perimeter of the pitch, eager to join once again into the fray. Not only shameful, they were a deep annoyance, an interruption to her game and her team. Really, the audacity of the referee to be doing their job.
Surveying the field as she neared the end of her lap, she wasn't upset at the state of the game-- the Ravenclaws seemed to be faring rather well, although Aly and Gabby seemed a bit stunned and River was, um, going rogue with the Quaffle, although apparently the Ravenclaw Seeker was damn good at being a Chaser. Who knew? The lions were still going strong, but had three players on one broom. That was... interesting for them. Cecily couldn't help but wonder what the strategic Gryffindor masterminds would do about that.
Rounding the last stretch of her lap, Cecily was more than ready to rejoin the chaos, feeling rather helpless every time during a penalty. Time for her to move on from the her shameful penalty and get back in the game.

Riding on the back of someone else's broom was an experience that Gabby was certain she never wanted to repeat for the rest of her life. Where were the quick and nimble dodges she needed to dart round the other players? When Gabriella flew, she didn't swerve, she bounced. She had the advantage of being very light, which wasn't always the most desirable trait in a Beater, but the Ravenclaw found it served her well. Now, however, there were two on the broom, and Gabriella wasn't controlling it - not that she would have done much better if she had been, she supposed - and they weren't doing very well at all.
The Bludger came whistling through the air towards her. Gabby fumbled in the empty air for her bat, as if some unknown magic might compel it to materialise in her hand. Needless to say, it did not, and the ball came careering into the pair with a might crack. Gabriella flinched, nearly tipping backwards off Aly's broom with the force of the impact, the Bludger crushing her ribs in a way it never had done before - not even last match, when Gabby had fallen completely off her broomstick.
"I'm alright!" she called to Aly, though the strain in her voice suggested that this was untrue.Stats:

RAVENCLAW vs. GRYFFINDORROUND THREEREGARDING THE QUAFFLE…While the snitch had been so rudely ignored last time, it was now the quaffle's turn to sit out on the action. While the players were off remounting their own brooms or smacking giant balls of rusty metal at one another, the red ten-pointer sat lonely and waiting in the center of the pitch, almost as if it had been forgotten about entirely.REGARDING THE PLAYERS…

DMG: 810Growing progressively aggressive in their tactics Akari swoops in for a valiant but vain blatch attempt on River, who managed a well-timed if closely cut dodge. The ref wasn't blind though, and clearly saw the bold attempt made by Akari. "Penalty lap for Kato!!" They loudly announced sending the player on their way. Close by Jorah attempted a deadly accurate backbeat on Evelynn. However, despite the well placed shot, it was excellently defended by Griseldis who got in it's path, managing to prevent the ricochet in the process. But the hit certainly looked like it hurt. Evelynn was safe for the time being, but what an aggressive play it had been by Ravenclaw.REGARDING THE SNITCH…RIVER: Alley-Ooped by Syl - CATCH DC: 28
UA [37] | ACC (DISADV) [11, 19] + 12 = 23Having dodged a human bullet, and identified the snitch, Sylvain rallied to River, and in a well-excuted play. Spun her around in an impressive display before flinging her towards the snitch that she identified. Speeding off like a rocket River locked onto to the snitch. But buzzing little gold ball still managed to outmaneuver her and escape the Ravenclaw's grasp. It was a good attempt but it was fore not.SCORE

"We need to take back the momentum… And I'm almost certain Dewlight has spotted the snitch.."
“Yeah, no shit,” Rafael scoffed, rolling his eyes as he skirted to the right – it seemed as if his search for wisdom had come up rather dry for the time being, a fact that left the Captain a little more aggravated than he would like to admit. Why was he choking now, of all times to do so? The Captain inwardly cursed, eyes surveying his surroundings in an avid search for inspiration, before an impulsive gasp suddenly escaped his lips – a flurry of red and gold to the right would warrant the opposing bludger from Ravenclaw Gabriella Haworth futile, thanks to the reputable Gryffindor beater Gris Edelhardt. “Hey, thanks!” he would call gruffly over the rushing winds, a lame attempt to distract himself from the erratic beating of his heart. He hadn’t seen that one at all… he was really starting to lose his nerve…
"...Captain?"
What was this, now? Was she trying to mess with him even more? Calling him Captain? If his heart hadn’t been racing before, it sure was now – trying its hardest to race right out of his ribcage and onto the tamed fauna below. “Shit, Eve, I-I’m thinking,” he blurted sharply, though his voice held a quiver. Why did he feel like this? He was… scared? Why was he scared? Shit… shit… His mind was blank, utterly blank, a canvas upon which no thought presided. What the fuck was he going to do? His muscles grew tense as a sudden and overpowering sense of guilt and responsibility rushed over his mind, washing away every rational idea left in himself. What was he doing here? Sharing a broom in the middle of the fucking Quidditch Pitch with two people and a pair of hands far too sweaty to do his maneuvering justice? His façade was slowly beginning to fall apart as his heartbeat quickened further. What are you doing here… what are you doing here…
A flash of silver would catch his eye, and the Captain’s head would jerk to the left, catching the aftermath of the bludger rocketing into his teammate. Gris – Gris just took a bludger… that wasn’t good… However, before he could ponder this any longer, a strong sense of insight suddenly struck him, like a lightning bolt from the heavens, the cogs in his mind beginning to crank as his eyes followed the retreating form of the Ravenclaw offense. Ravenclaw… was after Eve…. They’re after her again. They can’t do that! A growl escaped his lips, his grip on his broom tightening all the more. Ravenclaw couldn’t mess with his co-captain. That was his job, and his job only. They wanted to mess with Gryffindor? “Hell, I have to lose you two,” he muttered to himself, as if stumbling upon a stunning realization. “Okay, hold on – “ Eyes set upon the luscious green grass below their midsts, he began his descent at lightning speed, mouth set in a straight line.
For once, the Captain wasn’t going to worry about others. He wanted to be a little selfish – to make a decision because he wanted to, not for anyone else’s pleasure. Right now, he wanted to make sure Eve stayed safe. At all costs. She was his to mess with, after all? Right?

STATS & ABILITIES
Interception ReducioWhen a Quaffle is being passed, users with this ability automatically get a chance to Intercept the quaffle. This does not replace their normal action for the round. This put the quaffle in your and by extension you teams' possession.
Also, if the Quaffle is dropped for any reason, you would automatically (without it taking up an action) attempt another Quafflegrab. At present there would be no mid-round way to drop a quaffle due to the order of operations, however there will be certain effects in future patches that can cause this effect.Catch ReducioAble to catch two falling players on your broom when playing Quidditch. These additional caught players would be brought to the ground safely and they would be allowed to retrieve their broom and enter play again the next round. This can be done every round as the player's action if they choose to do so.
With brooms that have the feature where an additional player may be caught (such as Bluebottle) where there is a stackable chance of failure with each additional person caught, there is no stacking failure chance for players with this ability.Perfectionist ReducioYou have a reduced critical failure chance range by 1. In addition, you can counter up to 1 point of additional critical failure chances caused by abilities or spells (not potions). In other words, if you have an extended critical failure chance range (as is the case with certain races, the effect of certain spells or potions), this reduces that range by 1. So if you have a +2 critical failure chance range (meaning if you roll a 1,2, or a 3 you critically fail), this ability makes it a +1 critical range instead (meaning if you roll a 1 or a 2 you critically fail).

Things were happening incredibly fast and Haley didn't know where her head was. The only thing she was aware of at that moment was that she was not on her broom and was sharing a broom with two others, but what now? What would they do? Haley did not contribute to finding a solution, far too inexperienced was the young Gryffindor to contribute anything useful. Before she could even think about anything meaningful, it seemed that decisions had already been made.
Rapha was right, he had to get rid of them. Of course, she could have thought of that herself and before she could think about anything else, they were now flying in a very specific direction. The green ground beneath them was getting closer and closer and Haley was inwardly preparing herself to be receptive again and to finally get a grip on herself and continue to perform.
