Yeah. As I was writing my thread out, it made me think of the 20,000 Leagues story. He predicted the invention of the submarine 90 years before it's invention, and he imagined it exactly as it turned out shape-wise.

jules verne was an icon, a legend. I remember nerding out over his books in grade 3 and 4.

I started one. It was a fantasy story. The new one I'm thinking of starting is about an obsessive fangirl who sells her soul to be a part of her favorite singer's life.
