Juniper walked to the Great hall with great determination, because nothing could stop her from what she was meant to do. And that? That was to finally admit to Draven that she liked him. Like liked him, of course. And she needed it to sound right. Nothing too mushy gushy. In her head she replayed what she was going to write, but if course nothing cAme to her.

She headed to the cupcake making table, reading the instructions. She hoped he liked chocolate. With her frosting, she was as careful as she could be. It needed to be perfect. She took some icing and wrote "Dray" . She took some freshly cut strawberries and decorated it around the name. The frosting and cupcake was chocolate, so she hoped strawberries good with chocolate cupcakes. She set it in the box and wrote who it was for, Draven mirador of course.

Another cupcake, vanilla, was for Lin Evanvleck. She took the buttercream and swirled it around in a somewhat spiral. She took some fresh raspberries and made a heart in the middle. She made an "L' on top of the raspberry heart with some frosting. It was somewhat neat, somewhat sloppy.

She headed to the bark table and reached for the dark chocolate. The chocolate was dark on the outside, but it was bitter-sweet. Kind of like Draven, she thought. Thought that was a weird comparison to make. She tried to think on what to put on. Would the heart candies be a bit much? No... She took a handful and sprinkled it on and set it in the bag.

Now, for the letter.

She sat down and chose a nice shade of green.

Draven:

I haven't thought too much... not enough... on how to say this. But every time I look into your gray eyes I feel like I'm on. A trance. No, that sounds weird. What I would like to say... is that I like you. I like you a lot, and you are very special to me.

Along with the cupcake, she wrote a letter.

A cupcake for you! I consider you my best friend! Like my own sibling, except you're not annoying. I hope that we stay friends for the rest of our days!

Valentine's Day was far from Cecily's favorite holiday. At the ripe old age of 15, she had never had a valentine of her own, but in her lengthy experience on this planet, February 14th was rife with mushy affection and an uncomfortable amount of pink. But there was one pretty hefty perk that came along with the day of love, an upside that perhaps overshadowed the sickeningly sweet displays of devotion: desserts. Regardless of the love in her own life (or lack thereof), word was that the Great Hall today would be sporting plenty of sugar to make up for it.

It was the promise of such sweets that lured Cecily through the doors of the hall, with no mind paid to the actual purpose of the cupcakes and chocolate-- to spread the love, or whatever. But who would send perfectly good cupcakes to other people when they were free cupcakes? It sounded like a ridiculous proposition to Cecily. What was stopping her from simply eating six cupcakes right then and there? Nothing, save for the judgement of her peers. But the best part about being incredibly far from a socialite was that very few people who participated in these errands actually knew her. So... six cupcakes?

As tempting as the thought was, Cecily decided it would probably be best to send at least a few to people she enjoyed. She could think of a few, right? Right. Maybe not a crush or secret admiree, but while the Ravenclaw may have had a rather small social circle, that didn't mean she was entirely friendless. And lacking in friends who would appreciate a sugary display of love? Okay, maybe the love part, but maybe if they didn't appreciate a good cupcake they didn't deserve one.

Making her way over to the table piled high with cupcakes, Cecily gave a small smile to the Professor Lécuyer before looking down to select her cupcakes. She might as well choose all six now-- she was still forming a list in her head of potential recipients, but it wasn't as if the leftovers would go to waste. She compiled a set of six, somewhat arbitrarily: two chocolate, one lemon, one marble, and one cheesecake. Wait-- that was only five. Arithmetic wasn't her strong suit. She reached out for one more, adding a red velvet to her assortment.

"Oh-" It was at this moment, the beginning of the part where she would have to stop and actually formulate a plan, that Cecily became aware of the students around her-- and, more pointedly, the fact that she actually did know someone here after all. "Dee! Fancy seeing you here." If it wasn't Dealla Prince, life of every party and someone Cecily seemed to find herself running into often at errand events. Perhaps she should've seen this coming, but it remained a delightful surprise. "Any big cupcake plans?"

Love was a strange topic for her to think about if the truth was told. She loved a lot of people, in the platonic or familial sense. But romantically? No. Of course not. Well. She had a crush. But it was just that, a crush. A very small crush that would fade away eventually, just like the feelings for her first crush had in time. It was not love in that sense. But Valentine's Day was fast approaching again and like always, she was alone whilst everyone else seemed to be dating. It was weird, and kind of sad.

Making her way into the Great Hall, she took a moment to gaze around - allowing her eyes to fall onto the new decor. She sighed softly as she entered in, moving to one of the tables to figure out what was actually going on or what she had to do. Right, making stuff. She could do that! She liked making stuff.

Approaching a table, she noticed the DADA Professor there. With a polite smile and a quick wave of her hand, she greeted the professor before sitting down on the Hufflepuff table, Immediately, she eyed up the cupcakes. Who did not like cupcakes? She had no idea who she was sending it to but that did not matter. There were a lot of people she loved - platonically, at the very least. Picking up a vanilla cupcake, she started to decorate it with strawberry flavoured icing. The pattern was just a swirl, trying to make something kind of cool but... it looked a little blotchy. Though it was an attempt.

She could decorate up to six... Wait, she probably ought to think of who to send them to! Did Howard like cupcakes? Ughhh, why was she thinking of him? Serena groaned internally, hating that her brain kept automatically thinking about him, wondering what he would like. She had other friends! Sort of. Not many, of course. However, she had a few other friends who probably would appreciate some cupcakes or chocolate... She needed to stop thinking about him though. It was draining. Besides, he would get loads anyway. He apparently had admirers everywhere. Not that she blamed them, he was really kind and sweet and pretty dern great... Ugh.

But what if he did not? What if Falentra, Bloom or probably one of the million other people who thought he was great did not send him anything? That would kind of suck. No no, of course, he would get something. He was great. She picked up a chocolate cupcake, icing over it with the chocolate icing as she waited for the first to dry a little. She smoothed the icing out to the best of her ability on this one before trying to make a little heart-shaped pattern on it.

Pizza Rat crawled out of her pocket, finding his way onto her shoulder. It was actually kind of impressive how the small creature was so good at climbing. It never ceased to amaze her, "Hey bud, you want one?" She said softly, tilting her head to the side to gently tap against his head in a form of a greeting or a hug. It was something she did often, though she did not really know how it started. In fact... now that she thought about it... No one would object if she made cupcakes for Pizza Rat, right? He was the one she loved the most in the world, after all! They were best friends!

after Clair had made Cupcakes for Simon Kincaid she had then seen Dee make cupcake, and she had gotten a idea well more stolen the idea sitting back down at the Hufflepuff /cupcake table, really they were the same thing, Hufflepuffs were sweet like cupcakes
She decided that Ravenclaw's Head of House seemed like a Marble kind of guy, she decided to make two, (one Marble and one Lemon) taking the Marble Cupcake she chose Buttercream Icing and iced it on so it was flat, and then with Chocolate Icing she slowly wrote "Wit beyond measure is the man's greatest treasure. and then she put that one aside and took the Lemon cupcake and with Strawberry icing she iced it on flat again, and then with a careful hand she iced a Eagle's head and below it's head she wrote Professor Iwasaki the words were close to falling off, so the last I was sort of slipping off the cake, by the time it got to him, the I might have fallen off and it would not be 'Iwasak' instead, which would be minorly funny.
putting both cupcakes in a box she went back over to the Ravenclaw /letter writing table,
and in Blue ink on Green paper she wrote,

Aly had been quite thrilled to hear about this whole cupcakes-and-letters business that was going on in the Great Hall for Valentine’s Day. Never (yet) one for crushes and romance, the third-year had always considered the grandiose day of love to be an excellent day for showcasing platonic love instead, and she rolled into the Great Hall looking like a lady on a mission. Plus, she had heard some rumours going around Ravenclaw Tower that a fair amount of eagles were putting their heads together at this Great Hall event to celebrate… a certain… person… and the curly-haired Ravenclaw was all for joining that!

Admiring the romantic decorations that had seemingly sprung up all around the Hall, Aly scanned the large and crowded room for the ringleader of this Ravenclaw recipe for recognition, finally spotting a trademark bronze mane a short ways away, seated at what appeared to be a transformed Hufflepuff table and already hard at work on some cupcakes. She appeared to have recently been joined by another familiar face- Aly would know the wild blonde mane of Cecily Quinn anywhere.

Carefully making her way through the full-to-the-brim Hall, trying not to bump anyone who was frantically festooning treats or carefully calligraphing letters, Aly eyed the cupcakes on the Hufflepuff table, slowly gathering an understanding of the rules for this event. Six cupcakes, icing, sprinkles, and other toppings galore… well, the Hogwarts staff had clearly put their all into this, and Aly was not about to let it go to waste. She carefully collected a half dozen of the cloying confections, breathing in the deliciously warm scent of freshly baked cake as she selected her flavours- three chocolate, two red velvet, and a singular lemon- as well as a hefty dollop of whipped cream, which would go along with every cupcake nicely without the needless worry for changing icings. Then she slipped through the crowds once more, only stepping on a couple of toes, before sliding into the bench right beside the familiar girls.

"Hi, Dee," Aly greeted cheerfully, settling in on the seat. Dee Prince was in the same year as Aly, and a Prefect no less, so even though the girls had only interacted a couple of times, they’d had classes together for two and a half years, so Aly knew her on sight. Plus, Cecily was right there as well, Aly’s Quidditch captain and two years her senior. "And hi, Cecily! I hear we’re all making cupcakes for, uh-" Catching herself, she lowered her voice so as to seem secretive. "The same person? Though I thought I would make some for friends, too…"

She turned her green gaze upon the cupcakes in front of her. One would be for the same person as Dee’s, of course, and one for last year’s friend Pericles… another two for her Quidditch captains, Cecily herself and Syl, both of whom Aly looked up to tremendously (though she would have to be a bit secretive with making the former’s now that she was right there)… but who else could she gift these cupcakes of friendship? Not for the first time in her life, the thirteen-year-old’s eyes had been bigger than her stomach.

Left to ponder, she began to spread whipped cream onto each of the cupcakes with a nearby spoon, trying her best to make them look neat (though she was, by no means, a baker of any sort, and the whipped cream perhaps looked messier atop the cupcakes than it had on its own by the time Aly was done with it). She could wait to figure out who else would be getting cupcakes from her until after these were all frosted.

To be honest, AngelFyre had never really bought into the idea of Valentine's Day. It always seemed kind of like a forced holiday, thrust on couples by the florists, candy makers, and greeting card companies of the world. Lame as she always felt it was, she was always taken aback by how giddy her mother and father would get as the day approached. They were always a happy and affectionate couple, but the high beams radiating from their smiles and the tender touches that lingered just a little longer than normal were hard to miss in the days leading up to Valentine's Day. As AngelFyre hurried down to the Great Hall, it suddenly struck her that she, too, was exhibiting some of these same telltale signs of giddiness herself.

She had never liked a boy as anything more than a friend before, so life just seemed brighter for her right now. She was still able to maintain her grades and do all of the things a good witch in training here at Hogwarts should be doing, but her mind drifted oh so often to thoughts of Simon when it absolutely did not have to focus on anything else. True, there was the pesky business of his beautiful, sweet, and sophisticated girlfriend, but it occurred to AngelFyre that for now, at least, it was enough just to be near Simon when she could be, regardless whether he returned her feelings or not. Being naive in such matters, she did have to remind herself... often... that she probably read the situation in the Rehearsal room completely wrong. After all, he is older by a year, he has a girlfriend (that one bears repeating again and again!) and he just enjoys getting to know everybody, especially his fellow Hufflepuffs. It is just who he is at his core. Nothing special here. Just a routine meet and greet with polite conversation and... and.....

It is that "and" she gets hung up on every time. Naïve or not, could she really have been this wrong? Push on, AF. Keeping your unrequited feelings close to your own heart is enough and staves off heartbreak at having to learn the truth. You live in a magical world that is Hogwarts, after all, so you might as well live in a fantasy one too. Just for a little while at least.

As she reached the main floor, she could hear a lot of students already in the Great Hall, and best of all, she could detect the heavenly aroma of chocolate. Oh how she loved chocolate, especially milk chocolate, but making bark for Valentine's Day just did not seem festive enough to her for some reason. She wanted to make a statement. Scanning the room and seeing we could also decorate cupcakes, AngelFyre headed right for her Hufflepuff table, nodding her head and smiling at Professor Lécuyer, along the way. She listened to his explanation and thought there was no way she would need 6 cupcakes. Four would do nicely.

The table was laden with all of the things one would normally think of when thinking of decorating cupcakes, including some fondant at the very far end of the long table. She took small pieces of lavender, peach, black and white. AngelFyre then snagged a couple of lemon cupcakes, a red velvet cupcake, and a marble cupcake. The two lemon cupcakes would be for Simon. She was originally set on the red velvet for him, but when she saw the lemon flavor, it reminded her that he always has lemon drops with him, so she hoped that choice would pan out in the end.

AngelFyre always found fondant so much easier to work with than regular frosting, All you had to do was roll it and shape it and cut it. It was a lot like working with clay as a child. So, her idea was to make a few small flowers with the peach and lavender. She rolled the fondant in her hands to warm it and then she pinched pieces off of every color. She painstakingly shaped and and formed the flowers easily enough, and then she covered both cupcakes in white fondant, she placed the flowers where she wanted them and gently pressed them onto the top of the cupcakes. Then she took a butter knife and carefully scored the white fondant in the front of the cupcake. She then took some black and shaped it into little rectangles that she placed very carefully on specific places. She could not help but smile. They just need one more thing. Pinching some pink, she made a thinner, but wider rectangle and pressed a carefully detailed design into it. Now she was done. She had two beautiful, and hopefully meaningful, cupcakes for the handsome Mr. Kincaid.

The red velvet cupcake would be for her friend, Phoenix. She had not known her long, but she liked her very much, and was grateful she had been at the broom race the day AngelFyre found out about Simon's girlfriend. Phoenix had no way of knowing it at the time, but she had taken what would have been an awful day and helped to make it fun, even if both friends had been cheering for different teams. This cupcake she would pipe with a deep red icing and sprinkle some of the colorful candy bits on top. Easy peasey. Three down, one to go.

The final cupcake, the marble cupcake, was for her first friend at Hogwarts, Anna Washington. Anna seemed to like a lot of color, so the marble flavor seemed best for her. With a flourish of multicolored swirls and sprinkles, Anna's cupcake was finished as well. Whew!

She went to the Gryffindor table and picked up three white boxes which would gently house the cupcake masterpieces. All that was left to do now was to label them and write her letters. She took it all to the Ravenclaw table and was gobsmacked at how beautiful it looked. So many lovely choices of parchment it was hard to decide, but she finally dialed it all in and started to write. She hurried with her notes to Anna and Phoenix, grabbing two lovely parchments. She scratched away with the delightfully decorated quills and finished quickly with her friends' notes. Then it was time to focus on what she most wanted to focus on... Simon.

She had chosen the most masculine looking of the girly parchments that she saw available. After some long consideration, she was satisfied the message she intended would be the message received. It was not a full out declaration of her feelings, but it hinted at them. AngelFyre felt it gave Simon enough leeway to politely ignore them if he so chose, while still maintaining a friendship, or.... he could break her heart. Fear gripped her heart momentarily and she considered whether it was wise to proceed. Excited but uncertain, she determined to go through with it and thanking them as she did so, she handed over the three boxes to the house elves on her way out, whispering a silent prayer all the way back to the Common Room.

One step closer to pass the grand door of the great hall then thousands more to arrive at the dorm sweet dorm, one name popped out in her mind. Not exactly a name, word by word. A face of someone would be more accurate. A tall and intimidating person, one of the great five including the headmaster, probably was a spy as well, just like that woman at the chocolate bark section. It would be rude to not give him something. Who knew that everytime the sun went down, the light was dim, only him and his shadow were in the corner of his office room. The face of weariness, tear stains on his cheek. People who passed by could hear All Too Well blasting from behind the door. Wishing that someone were on his side holding a freshly baked cupcake for him to eat, then they would cuddle each other to sleep, still with the song on repeat waiting for the morning light to come. And now Aurora just felt extra guilty for not even thinking of him in the first place. So she turned around and started to work on another six cupcakes on the Hufflepuff table.

The man was—really scary. Everytime he was around, there was this intimidating aura radiating from him. Aurora, as a twelve year old kid, thought it was his grumpiness for not having someone to talk to in the middle of the night. Perhaps he too had a scarf that he left at someone’s house and didn’t have it back to this day. Or maybe he was just reminiscing about the old days when things were great but now everything was dead and gone and buried. Who would not appreciate good free food? Anyone with unfortunately bad taste buds and no sense of gratitude. Surely he wasn’t in any of those categories. Sometimes, someone with a tough case is a hello kitty inside, this might apply for this particular professor.

Nothing fancy, just six red velvets with cream cheese, very basic but tasty. Not forgetting the decoration of one m&m on top of the frostings and the gift was done. Putting them inside the box carefully, and she moved on to the hardest part of them all. A letter. How would you write a letter to someone when you don’t even remember the name? And her failure to remember his name translated perfectly as the many errors on the first line of the parchment. Caw, as in the bird sound, Claw, as in Ravenclaw. Frustrated, she put her head on the table a little too loud, causing her to wince in pain. People nearby could definitely hear the sound of the impact. Hopefully it wouldn’t reduce her intelligence to zero. The girl turned her focus back to the piece of paper on the table. With the relief on her shoulder, as if she just had an ‘aha’ moment, her hand moved the quill, creating beautiful strokes of ink, then to the bag where she would put the box of cupcakes inside. Professor Calamari, The Head of Ravenclaw.
Dear, Professor Caw, Claw Calamari , Head of Ravenclaw, Very Tall, Almost Bald, Not super old, a bit scary, dark hair, has moustache but not as thick as Professor Transfiguration

Hi, Professor Mr Sir. My apology for failing to remember your name. I couldn’t even remember where I put my wand sometimes. I am not trying to be disrespectful and I don’t fancy a detention right now, and if you are planning to give me one, maybe some other time, preferably after valentine's day because I might or might not have a plan.

As an apology and gratification to have you as my wonderful professor, here are some cupcakes for you. I am giving you six red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and one m&m chocolate candy thing on top of each one. You could read it as ‘mmmmmm’ and I hope you would read it as you eat it so I would know that you got my gift. I would never try to put my ear on your office door though, don’t worry. If for some reason you don’t receive what I just described, please don’t eat it as I am worried that someone tampered with it. And I hope you will have a wonderful day and night and month and year!

Ps. Please be kind enough to share it with Professor Honeydukes. I am so tired and don’t have energy to make another six cupcakes. I made 19 cupcakes already, excluding yours and mine.

"Don't open your eyes!" Jessica demanded, pulling her sister after her.

Rose, whose eyes were tentatively shut, felt really unsafe being pulled by an untrustworthy little sister. "I really want to open my eyes."

"Don't!" Gabriel, her brother, exclaimed, as Jessica pulled Rose to a stop. Rose paused, the urge to want to open her eyes growing.

"Where did you take me?" she asked. She took in a deep breath. The most she could smell was sweets, but that didn't narrow the place down very much. She heard the chatter of lots of students.

"Okay... open them."

Rose slowly opened her eyes, spying the Great Hall before her. It was clear at a glance that it was set up for an errand. Rose groaned. "Aww, Jess, I told you I didn't want to come to this. It's almost exactly like last year's."

But the truth? Rose barely even had any friends that weren't her family any more. One of her closest friends at Hogwarts was now her step-brother, and most of the rest of them moved away or just slowly disappeared out of her life. Alina, Aurelia, Scarlett...

Not that she was complaining, of course. She just... only had one person she could think of to send a Valentine's Day thing to. Rose didn't even like anybody romantically, as far as she could tell.

"Jess, don't you have all kinds of friends you could do this with? You're like little miss popular in the first year." Jess blanched, a strange reaction from Rose's perspective.

"They're busy," she said quickly. Rose narrowed her eyes at her little sister. What wasn't Jess telling her? "It won't be that bad, Rose-"

Rose swallowed hard, lifting her chin, fear clawing at her heart. She started to back up, away from the Great Hall. "I already told you, Jess-" she started.

"Come on, Rose," Gabe said, a gentle tone in his voice. He shook his head. "You don't have to do it if you don't want to. But I think you should. You can always send the cupcakes to me," he said, a smirk appearing on his face. Rose rolled her eyes, unable to suppress a smile herself.

Rose spotted a familiar fluff of fur dart towards the Great Hall. In a flash, she imagined Chaska coming up to some random person (maybe allergic to cats!) and eating all their cupcakes and then throwing up on the shirt their grandmother knit them for Christmas. Okay, a pretty specific scenario, but Rose knew she would have to keep an eye on her cat. "Chaska!" she exclaimed, following the cat. The Silver Siberian froze, giving Rose a chance to scoop her up.

The redhead huffed, finding herself inside the Great Hall. Rose then noticed a pink bow tied around Chaska's neck. One that Rose certainly hadn't put there. She rolled her eyes as Gabe and Jessica caught up. "You guys are tricksy," she accused them, shifting Chaska over her shoulder. Now... cupcakes or bark? She sighed. "Let's go make some chocolate bark."

Rose had to admit she'd never made chocolate bark before. She took a seat at the Slytherin Table. There were some handy-dandy instructions on the table. Her siblings sat across from her. Rose scanned the instructions, and then placed Chaska down on the bench beside her. The cat was very curious about all the ingredients on the table.

Rose selected some caramel and dark chocolates and started to melt them in a cauldron. Jess started some conversation. "So, Gabe. I never asked you- how's it like with all the people in Ravenclaw tower?"

Gabe seemed to pause before answering, melting some of his own chocolate (four different kinds). "Uh- it's great. Just like it's always been. I have a lot of friends up there."

Jess raised her eyebrows. "Really? I would have thought you would think they're too nerdy for you."

Gabe narrowed his eyes at Jessica, then said. "No, actually. They're brilliant people, and I feel like the Sorting Hat made the right choice. You see, I thought you would have gotten sick hanging around all those people with a soul. Is that right?"

She seemed much more annoyed at him, now. Rose smirked. She had had it coming to her, honestly. Rose started to pour her melted chocolate onto the baking tray, scraping it out with one of the spatulas. (Spatula was such a cool word.) She smoothed it so that it was evenly spread. Rose poured the caramel chocolate over it, making a zig-zaggy pattern. She sprinkled M&M's on the chocolate randomly.

Rose hadn't known that Gabe thought the Sorting Hat made the right choice. Maybe there was something about him that she didn't know?

There. Now it just had to cool. Rose added a ribbon and a tag that said "To Henry Knight."

"Who are you sending yours to?" she asked her siblings as they finished. Chaska headbutted her side, and Rose stroked her, allowing the fluffball to climb into her lap.

Jess paused, thinking as if she didn't really know who to send it to. She had all kinds of friends! She must have had somebody to send it to. Jess carefully tied the ribbon on. "Maybe I'll anonymously send it to a guy I know. Let him know he has a secret admirer." Rose smiled.

Gabe shrugged. "I'll send it to one of my best friends. We'll have a good laugh about that." His eyes lit up with mischief. "I'll send him a really sappy love letter that's like 'Oh, if only you knew how much I loved you. Your eyes are like golden pools of sunlight on a summer's day. You make me feel warm like a lion does to his mate in the cold tundras of Europe.'"

Rose laughed, knowing that Gabe knew lions didn't make each other feel warm in the cold tundras of Europe. She shook her head, waiting for him to finish. They all took their chocolate bark and set it on the Gryffindor Table, then went to the Ravenclaw Table to write notes.

Rose selected a blue paper and a darker blue quill, starting to write. She chose not to drench it in glitter, knowing Henry probably wouldn't appreciate that too much. It might make him smile, or it might get glitter all over him.
ROSE'S NOTE TO HENRY:

"That wasn't that bad, was it?" Jess asked her as they exited the Great Hall.

Rose shook her head. If she was honest, she was glad her siblings had dragged her into this.

Henry pulled his hood over his head, low. Hiding his face. The lad heard what day it was, heard what would be occurring in the great hall. Hus mind reeled and anxiety a thundering storm, knowing that he wouldn't- he couldn't step foot inside the great hall. Not thay day. Not for anything.

Valentine's day is only a day away. A day to celebrate love and bonds between individuals. A day that Henry wished would disappear. Imaging the day only reminded him of Alexa Mackenzie. His once girlfriend that he will never have a chance on celebrating with, another person he care for. Gone.

The teen slipped his hands into his hoodie pocket, holding his head low as he trudged by the doors of the great hall. Not daring to lool at the wood or light beaming from the place, laughter filled his ears and rhe sweet smell of candy filled his nostrils.

Henry locked his eyes on the ground attempting to walk out to the grounds so he could spend the rest of the day alone. What he believes that he deserves. When Loki looled up at his onwer and meowed loudly then took off for the great hall, the teen watched. Trembling. Not daring to move. Afraid of what could or might happened. His mind swelling on Alexa. Wondering what she would do, what she would say. Memories flashing through his mind, remembering the moment in the dungeon with her and the panic attack.

The teen looked down then brought his shiny gaze up, knowing well that she isn't there. No one is. No one to help comfort him when he has panic attacks or pull him back from the darkness. Loneliness.

Henry shuffled his feet closer, soon entering the great hall. Squinting his eyes as his breathing quicken, his palms became sweaty as he glanced around. Everyone smiling and making treays for those they care for. The sight is overwhelming for the lad.

Blue eyes darting rapidly around, looking for his orange feline which he found. Sitting on a bench at the slytherin table, surrounded by food and sweets. The teen took a breath as he walked over, attempting to pick up his feline which failed since Loki swatted at him.

A few minutes pass as the teen tried everything he could imagine to get his feline out of the hall witu him. Affection, treats, whistling, toys, tricks... it all failed.

Taking a seat besides Loki, Henry looked out at the table. Chocolate. Finding his eyes swelling with water, not daring to cry as he remembered Alexa's favorite food was chocolate. The lad wanted to leave, to run and hideway but his feline wouldn't allow him to.

Gaze flickering to Loki before in the sweets. Was there anyone left who he trult cared for? Who he would blame himself if something happened to them? A few names tickled into his mind. One who he considered his sister without being related to her ans the second his actual sister.

Nodding toward Loki, Henry knew his feline couldn't understand him but it brought him comfort pretending that he could. Trembling hands reached for the sweets that laid on the table.

The teen selected a strawberry cupcake and a dark chocolate cupcake. Placing both in front of him, deciding to place a red cupcake liner around the strawberry and a yellow cupcake liner around the chocolate one.

The teen filled a small tube with red frosting and gently pushed it into the strawberry cupcake. Filling the sweet with red frosting. Placing the tube down, the teen found a knife ans spread the red frosting over it. Using the knife to spread the frosting over the cupcake, covering the whole thing with red. Setting the knife down. He carefully sprinkled strawberry and cherry pieces around the edges along with a few multicolored sprinkles.

Leaveing the strawberry cupcake to dry. Henry pulled the dark chocolate cupcake in fromt of himself, spreading chocolate frosting on top. Carefully placing mnm's and briscuit/cookie bits on the top. The teen then took a few chocolate bar, broke them up and stuck them into the cupcake. Creating a wall around the cupcake with chocolate.

Setting bith cupcakes aside. Henry found a idea. Nodding to himself as hia trembling hands reached for a cauldron, struggling to pull it in fromt of himself. The teen stood as he heated up the cauldron then had dark chocolate and cut up cherries. Melting them together. Once done, the teen pour out the mixture onto a baking sheet. Setting it three small sqaures as he allowed it to dry.

The teen carefully placed cherries on each, gently lining each one up. Then waited fir the chocolate barks to dry. Once harden, the teen took some frosting and wrote in cursive a name on each. Differnt for each one. On one he worte Logan, on another he worte Rose, ans on the final on he worte Alexa Mackenzie.

Under the name 'Alexa Mackenzie', the teen did a simple design of a heart then worte...

'A+H'

'You always be remebered'

Smiling at his work the teen crossed the great hall for the hufflepuff table, taking two small boxes. Both a neutral color then walked over to the ravenclaw table. Grabbed one pen and three sheets of paper then walked back toward the slytherin table, at his seat.

Opening on box, placing the dark chocolate cupcake and chocolate bark neatly inside. The teen tued the box shut then turned to the letters, bringing ink to paper.
Blood doesn't define family. You are my sister, Logan and I will always love you. You are the best friend I could ever ask for and ever dream of, I will always be there for.
but maybe you should leave me before you get hurt

Your Best friend- brother,
Henry
Folding the letter then tying it to the box. The teen set it aside. One gift done. One gifr for his best friend- his sister.

Turning to the next box, the teen set the strawberry cupcake and chocolate bark inside neatly. Shuting the box. Rhe lad turned toward the paper, setting ink to paper as he worte.
Blood doesn't create a family. Marriage doesn't dictate whose your family and who isn't. Family is choosen and not forced.

You are my family. My sister. My younger sister. My best friend. And I will always love you and be there for you. No matter how far apart, look to the stars. We're both hnder the same one and the distance is gone. We're shoulder and shoulder. Family.
but maybe you should leave me before you get hurt, sis

Your brother,
Henry
Folding up the letter, the teen tied it to rhe box. Setting it besdies the first. Both holds a crossed out line that neither will be able to read. The line is his emotions spilling out, wanting to claw at the surface.

The teen turned to the final letter, ser the pen to it then worte through shaky breaths and a trembling hand.
You are a star. You always have been on, buring so bright. You were amazing, funny, intelligent, kind, caring, adventurous. What was not to like about you? You opned my eyes and I smiled with you, we had fun and made memories.

Not a moment goes by that I don't thunk of you. About what could have been. About what we could have been. I miss you. You will always be in my heart and I promise, i promise to keep your memory alive Alexa.

Always will love you
Placing the chocolate bark on top of the letter. The teen placed the two boxes on rhe hufflepuff table so that they would be delivered to Logan and Rose. Then placed the chocolate bark underneath the letter at the end of the hufflepuff table. Sunlight gleaming down on the sweet.

Enjoy, Alex

The teen fell backwards in step, goomg from the hall to the grounds with Loki at his heels.

Sweets for Your Sweet Errand Open
On her way back to the Hufflepuff Common Room, AngelFyre overheard Marius Brown speaking with one of the event organizers. He stated he would like to attend the event if his schedule would permit him to do so, but it also sounded as if one of his concerns was that h⁴e felt like he really did not know anyone very well.

Not knowing Marius well at all and only having introduced ourselves ever so briefly at the beginning of the school year following our holiday break, AngelFyre determined that she was going to go back into the Great Hall and make him a cupcake. Everyone should receive something on Valentine's Day, she reasoned, and she wanted to make certain this did not get overlooked. Besides, she had only used 4 of her allotted 6 cupcakes, so no problem there.

She did an about face on the stairs and headed back to the Great Hall. She went straight to the Hufflepuff table and picked out a chocolate cupcake and waffled between the vanilla or cream cheese frosting. She preferred cream cheese herself but determined that vanilla might be the safer choice since she knew nothing of his preferences. She sat down where she had been just minutes before and got to work.

She piped a swirl of the frosting atop the cupcake and added some of the little candy heart sprinkles to it. She noticed almost immediately that they started to give the white frosting the merest tinge of pink, but there was nothing to be done about it now. It was the taste that was going to matter ultimately, and she knew the professors and house elves would let none of them down on that score.

Happy with the end result, she packaged it securely in a white box from the Gryffindor table and set about writing her note at the Ravenclaw table. She chose a mottled, mossy green parchment and a dark pine colored ink that ended up looking like plain old black. Still, it had a respectable look to it when she had finished scribbling and she hoped Marius would be pleased to be remembered.
