Aida was growing tired of all the struggling without a final outcome, just as she was tired of the unending lack of progress in her quest with Alexander. She could only shake her head and tell herself to be patient. The worst outcome would just be to end up failing, which was better than failing to try.

Finally, the duel was picking up. But not in favor of the Gryffindors. Willow came back alive, watching Galton barely able to stay on his feet. He had stopped casting spells, just trying to avoid the two spells that were coming at him while Alan tried to keep him up.
Phaedra's spell, attempting to take away his wand, was dodged by Galton quite easily. But Galton probably missed Aida's spell coming at him while dodging Phaedra's, setting him ablaze once more. Alan tried to provide backup and heal him, but it was too late. Galton was headed towards the ground. As soon as he hit the ground Willow called for a stop. "Galton has fallen! Stop your spells!" She helped get him off the piste and headed off to the Hospital Wing, his robes still faintly sizzling. She returned to her spot and nodded. "Resume casting!"

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1
As the boy crumbled in flames despite trying to dodge, Aida nodded. His fall was another brick in the road to her promised day when Alexander could be made whole again. She didn’t envy Galton the pain he would have in his recovery, but there was little about anything physical at Hogwarts that wasn’t painful. Quidditch, dueling, or even official events all seemed to end in some kind of painful hospital recovery. It was the way of things here.

Alan would look over to Galton in shock, as his partner dropped at last. His courage momentarily faltered until it came back with an unfamiliar tenacity. He would avenge Galton. This all had happened because he hadn't been able to protect the other boy. That had been his task and he had utterly failed when all had gone wrong due to that shielding charm. He was on his own now and it was up to him to make their team proud. The rush of adrenaline... He would understand now more so than ever what was so exciting about this sport.

A weight lifted from Phaedra's shoulders once Galton succumbed. With Gryffindor's hardest hitter now out of the way, there was little need for the defensive plays that nearly trapped her into a hard spot before. It was a miracle they'd managed to turn it around. There was strength in numbers, and in that regard, Ravenclaw had the upper hand. If they kept it up, this duel could end sooner than later.Doing as strategized (x)

Try as he might, the slippery little teen that stood on stage had run out of luck which would squeeze him out of harms way. He could see it coming too. The magic that would put the boy down for a nap. He had just enough time to give Alan a smile and squeak a few words out. Maybe that smile had even been what caused the collision, who would know. But Alan would hear “Be the le-“ from the grinning - and now feinting - boy.
Once his burning body hit the floor it would feel a cool wave of magic help it back to near, so near, recovery. Near enough Galton may have been able to open an eye and get one last look at his partner. Be the leaf, Alan. Echoing in Galton’s mind. Then the sweet relief of magical abuse induced sleep would find him.

Alan was now left to fend for himself on the piste. His first solo target was Phaedra as he attempted to cast the tickling charm. The young Ravenclaw easily dodged it, especially since he was the only one she had to dodge spells from now. Phaedra took this lull as an opportunity to heal herself and Aida to make them even more ready than before to take on Alan. Aida attempted to cover the duelling area in a thick fog, but instead her wand simply covered herself in fog. Luckily, she was able to see through it just fine. The long lasting effect being that Aida just looked super cool.

They say if you play with fire, be prepared to get burned. As Aidas’ fog failed and shrouded her in fog, the white ghost of a mage simply looked more spectral. The paleness of her skin, hair, and clothes almost glowed through the smoke, but the failure itself wouldn’t matter much to her. Aida had learned how to see without seeing. With time, if left unchecked, the eye of Aida would see all. Then at last, she would keep her sacred vow.

The fifth year was ultimately a bit worried about the recent outcome of this situation. It had become far more scary to him, but it also fueled him with an unknown energy, it felt like adrenaline just more powerful. He would raise his chin and straighten his back as he got ready for yet another round in this duel against two opponents. He would get this done.
