The Ravenclaw team seemed to have the Gryffindor team pushed back into a corner of purely defensive action. Alan and Galton took to healing themselves, if only to keep Galton standing. Every round he inched closer to going unconscious, only to be brought back from the brink of it by his teammate and himself.
Aida landed a fierce hit with the Knockback Jinx on Galton, which could've been the end of him.. but again, the magic of healing. Phaedra however struggled a little bit more. She cast a beautifully successful Wind Jinx, the spell splitting as the streams of air left the tip of her wand. However, what was once aimed for Galton headed straight for Aida instead. It was so severely off course that Aida was able to dodge it easily. Alan was doing just fine on his side as well, just barely dodging the air that could have knocked him pretty severely.

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1

Aida may not have been the brilliant sleuth that Alexander needed. She might not have been a cheery girly girl like Marion was. However, when Aida was needed in a fight, she could at least hit hard when she focused. If Aida could at minimum do such a thing for the boy, it might be enough to keep her promise. At least, that’s what she kept telling herself through month after month of failure. Every time one of her spells hit an opponent, Aida forgave herself temporarily for having taken so much time failing her best friend. The real problem would come trying to justify it all at night during her battle with insomnia.

Action: Doing as strategized.

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1
The fifth year was a little frustrated with how bad it was looking for Galton at the very moment, hoping for some sort of miracle that would safe the day for them or something. If only he wouldn't be burning or getting hit from the others, their lives would be a lot easier at that moment. Where had they gone wrong? Alan narrowed his eyes slightly at Phaedra, if it hadn't been for her extra powerful shielding charm, Galton would not be in trouble right now. The Gryffindor hoped they could turn this around once more and instead bring the other team in trouble. They had gotten so close with Phaedra before! They were worthy opponents.

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1
Phaedra shook her head, disappointment clear. She didn't know what it was, but Ventus was quickly proving to be one of those spells her aim simply disagreed with. Perhaps air just wasn't her element, far too uncontrolled, clearly unlike fire for her partner. A look of awe went her way, then, “Don't hurt your back carrying for both of us.” Now that they were fully on the offensive, a quick quip wouldn’t hurt.Doing as strategized (x)

Galton could feel his body slowly turning to mush. He could taste blood on his tongue, the metallic flavor providing a foreboding warning. It seemed that he could not be fully free to flow in the wind as he would have liked. Somehow it was very tiring to try so hard to be a leaf. If only he could pause for a small snack. He could really use the sugar right about now.
Action: Dreaming of sugar

What used to be a fantastic duel that had Willow on the edge of her standing on a platform and moderating the duel now was just... boring. Ravenclaw was absolutely doing their best on the offensive to no avail. Galton seemed to be pulled in and out of the brink of unconsciousness, with him and Alan using every spell they had just to keep him standing.
Aida's spell failed to find purchase in setting Galton aflame, right after his and Alan's flames had gone out. However, Phaedra succeeded in lighting him ablaze, though it was a mild fire compared to the last one.
Willow held her head up in her palm, waiting for the duel to kick back up again.

The world was so hot right now. As if his he’d been eating an excessive number of pepper imps and things had gone awry. But there was no nice aftertaste from the sugary treat, just stress and pain. If he could just muster through the flames though there would be sugar waiting for him. A large lunch of delectable delights.
Poor Galton would try once more to let the stress wash over him. Invite the pain and flames in and allow his body to become fluid once more. For candy was waiting.
Action: Summoning the sugar

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1
The Gryffindor boy was glad that both of them had succeeded, in a way it was what had saved Galton from worse, such as passing out and losing. They needed some sort of miracle to recover. Alan was still somewhat confident though. They would win, he was sure. He readied himself as he returned into a practical duelling stance. He would just need to keep a cool mind, so that his spell would continue being successful.

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1
Sure, the duel may have slowed down tremendously, but the Ravenclaws were still making progress. With each successive exchange of hitting and healing, Galton seemed to inch closer to unconsciousness. It became abundantly clear to her that, as long as Ravenclaw kept the pressure, the boys' annoying tag team of Reparifors could only do so much. Question was: how long would they keep this up?
Phaedra had no idea, but she was comfortable where she stood, and more than willing to extend this duel an hour or two if it came to it. Biting her tongue to avoid announcing across the piste how she really felt about the Captains' sad attempts at life support, she took aim once more. Things were looking up for her and cockiness was tempting, but there was still work to be done.Doing as strategized (x)
