— Come with me! You'll see, it'll be great!
— I don't want to!
Students passing by the Great Hall could see two girls who looked very similar - twins - "arguing", one pulling the other's arm to take her to the cookie decorating. The girl pulling the other had red highlights in her hair and grey eyes - Lin - while the other was a brunette with brown eyes - Sophie.
— Come on sis'! You love to decorate cookies!
— Pff... Ok.
So the twins entered the great hall to see a magnificent workshop. Two tables: one for working, the other for eating. Lin led her sister to the second table then they ran to the first. The girls sat side by side and each took two cookies. A piping bag, some sweet icing and a little precision. Taking her time, Lin drew a reindeer and a kind of snowman. She was very proud of her creations.
— Gahh! No... the frosting is drippinggg! Masterpiece.
With one movement, the twins turned towards the voice and saw a red head. It was impossible to miss her with her pink jumper and her high spirits. The twins leapt to their feet and ran towards the girl.
— Juniiiii! How are you? Is that your cookie? De you wanna see ours?
Even though Juni and Lin saw each other almost every day, Lin was always happy to see the girl she considered almost a sister at heart. They could be triplets at heart with Sophie! That would be fun.

XXXXOh! Looked like Maggie would be getting through this cookie making event with some company after all, wouldn't she? Maybe she'd seen this first girl somewhere before, as she looked to be an older student, but they'd never spoken before this. Still, though, Maggie never had an objection to making a new acquaintance, and so the conversation was, quite frankly, welcome. Especially since it was kind of sad to be sitting there decorating cookies for a holiday event all by her lonesome. "Probably, I dunno. I haven't ever met this guy before, he probably has a big arsenal of fights under his belt. Probably," who knew! He was just a bloody little snowman cookie.
The introduction of Lizzy Solace, too, made this little friendly interaction into a real party. "Oh, sure. Hi, Lizzy," introductions! Darn! Maggie had forgotten. "I'm Maggie. Hawkins," and she hated gingerbread. "Yeah, for sure. Gingerbread makes me sick to my stomach, and it smells nasty, too."
There were bigger things at hand, though.
"Those gummies might do, actually. Maybe your guy tried to eat my guy? Because he seriously looks like he got into some hot water with a serial killer. Maybe he had a run-in with our old friend Hannibal Lecter?" Were these kids muggle-born? Half-blood, even? Or were they pureblood wizards who hadn't the faintest idea of what anything Maggie had to say was?
Even so, they weren't done. Another kid, another who looked about as young as Maggie, slid his cookie over and suggested a battle. "Ooh! Like... like Venom. And Spider-man. You guys like Spider-man? I love Spider-man," though he was, admittedly, not that much of a holiday icon. "Battling it out, y'know?"WC: 281

Henry heard about the Yuletide celebrations from others but didn't think that he would participate in any of them, while they did sound fun. They also sounded chaotic and a place where groups of students would be gathering that December.
Henry was planning on a day in the library, reading to his heart's content until he ran into Rose in the corridors who convinced him to join her in decorating cookies. The teen agreed after a while of debating and overthinking, Loki flicked his tail from his place on Henry's right shoulder, suddenly interested in the change of the direction that they were going.
Henry walked through the large doors into the great hall with Rose, eyeing the area until he spotted the section for the cookie decorating. Henry nudged Rose's side a little, pointing toward the area where the cookie decorating was taking place.
Walking toward the area, the third year noticed a few familiar faces among the group. Juniper and Cody were the first two he noticed then his blue gaze saw Lin Evanvleck and another girl who looked strangely like Lin, the girl from the book club from a few days ago. There looked like room with the group and Henry preferred sitting with them then a group of strangers as he turned to Rose and spoke"there's room at that end, by the group," the teen would walk over to the three.
Offering a soft smile to the group as he stood at the bench, Henry spoke"Hey mates, mind if we join you?" the third year would wait for one of them to confirm his thoughts, that the pair can join the group until the teen would sit across from Juniper and next to Rose. Loki would sniff the air, hopping off of Henry's right shoulder then scampering across the table toward Juniper and Lin where the feline decided to sit, between them. Giving a short meow, his own way of asking the two girls for attention.
"Anything happened yet, June? Cody?" Henry asked, having a slight feeling that if something happened then it would be the result of Cody's actions. Maybe. Probably. Most likely. The third year looked over at the other ravenclaw girl who his feline was looking for attention from, he offered her a soft smile as he spoke"And how are you, Lin? Find any new books?" The teen only had a few friends who were interested in books so he tended to look for others with a love of books and learning like himself. Henry then looked toward the girl who looked like Lin, offering a soft smile as he spoke"I'm Henry, that's Loki. Are you and Lin twins?" The teen has met a few twins at Hogwarts and usually feels uncomfortable around them, emotions surging within the teen. Henry is a twin, although most at the school wouldn't know it unless Henry told them or they met during one of the holidays since his twin sister is a squib. And missing. The teen eyed the table as a way to keep his mind off of Annabeth, silently wondering what he would create as he looked over at Rose then wasn't sure if she knew the three as he leaned toward her, deciding to use sign language.
Henry has been teaching himself British sign language over the past few months after he gained an interest in it and even though he wanted to teach his sister French so the two have a shared language besides English. Sign worked for the time being as Henry slowly signed 'cookie decorating competition' underneath the table with a soft smile toward Rose.
The third year grabbed a gingerbread man from one of the platters and placed it in front of himself, taking a bag of blue frosting as the teen's mind swirled with decorating designs for the cookie that lay in front of him. Henry took a moment then brought the frosting down, tracing out three little buttons down the center then a small little top hat on his head. The teen then traced out two little eyes and a mouth on the head for its paced and finally a little scarf on its neck.
It looked a little strange since it was done all in blue and the frosting lines are a bit uneven and lumpy but it looked alright. The teen set it aside to dry, reaching for a snowflake deciding to try a more complicated design.
Henry squinted as he traced criss cross lines on the cookie with blue frosting, trying his best to do a fancy design. The teen trip doing little tips at the end of the cookie with the frosting, some came out good while others you barely could see. Henry stared at the cookie, unsure how it looked as he set the cookie aside then placed the frosting bag down on the table.
Henry looked over at Rose as he spoke"I'm going to get a drink, want anything?" Loki gave a short meow, rubbing against Lin's arm then Juniper's. The feline seemed comfortable where he was so Henry didn't call for him as he spoke"do any of you want something to drink? I was going to go anyway so it won't be a problem."

Nell walked into the Great Hall, it's name most definitely suited the size of the place. She had been here so many times over the years of attending Hogwarts, but it's area never failied to astound her. She adjusted her rings and fiddled with her sweatshirt, making her way over to the tables.
As a child, she spent many Christmases preparing for the holidays with her family. However, she vividly remembers being most excited and entertained with decorating cookies. Nell had always been interested in the arts. Yearning to visit grand art museums, deeply intrigued by music, and always sketching away her thoughts. So, she felt this cookie decorating would help her show and improve the unknown talent she held.
The tables spread in front of her were filled with supplies for decorating the sweet treats. There was frosting of every color beside sprinkles of every shape. The thought of so many possibilities excited Nell immensely and she was ready to begin.
She pulled up the sleeves of her sweatshirt, picking up a piping bag that held a mild shade of red frosting. She began to pipe the red frosting onto a santa hat shaped cookie. She evened it out, then moved to a white piping bag for the pom-pom and the fluffy bottom of the hat. She was satisfied and proceeded to the next cookie.
This one was a snowflake shaped cookie. This time she used a light blue frosting and piped the entire thing. She found a relavtively shiny looking sprinkle that she could decorate with and put it on the snowflake, giving it a bit of a shine.
Nell was having a good time. She next piped a snowman with a light green scarf and chocolate chips for the buttons. She decorated a gingerbread man with gumdrops and white frosting. Soon she was done and headed to snack on some of the food provided.
Hot chocolate seemed fitting, so she had a cup of it after a meat pie and possibly a few cookies. She couldn't resist, they were excellent. It was nice, she was glad she had come and decorated. She glanced around the room and she brought the hot chocolate to her mouth unfortunately quickly. Shocked from its heat, she spilled the cup all over her t-shirt. Muttering under her breath, she made her way around to find a place where she could clean up.

Juniper looked up as she heard the familiar voice. It was her best friend, Lin. "Hi Lin!!" She said with a grin. Her creation was falling apart, but it still looked good. Good for a 3-year-old, that is. It had too much frosting and the candies were falling off. The whole thing was a mess, you couldn't even tell what it was. She shook her head, it was a lost cause. "Yup! Mine is a total mess, though! Let me see yours!" Maybe Lin's would come out better than hers did. It was impossible for one to come out worse than hers. She grinned.
"Let me get a new cookie, since we only get 2." She was determined for her new one to come out better than the mess before her eyes. She could do it if she was careful with the icing, right? She selected a snowman cookie and set it down before her. "Lin, come help me with this snowman! Let's try and make him look handsome!" She laughed and got some white icing. "Should it be white, purple, blue.. what color should it be?" A white snowman was so... basic. She gathered the sprinkles and candies. "Then we can give it a scarf made of sprinkles!

"He looks the part," Dee agreed, nodding. The other girl had taken her rather abrupt entry into this decorating session in stride, barely batting an eye at this random older girl inviting herself to the table. Dee liked her already. "Probably has quite a monster-hunting reputation, this snowman." Another squirt of icing was added to her own cookie, in preparation to stick huge, snowman-chomping teeth onto it.
They were joined by another girl, who received a friendly wave and a smile from Dee. "Hi Lizzy! And, uh, hi Maggie." Belated introductions were always kind of odd. Dee tended to just skip them completely. What's in a name when she could just dazzle with her personality instead? "I'm Dee, nice to meet you." No last name, just the nickname. That was the important part, anyway.
She brightened up at the gummy candies that Lizzy handed her, then began sticking them unevenly onto her hat-monster's mouth. She doubted monsters cared too much about having straight teeth. "Perfect, thank you!" she agreed enthusiastically, nodding in satisfaction.
Tilting her head to one side, she gave the cookie a critical look. "Oh, he absolutely tried to eat your guy. What else would he use those teeth for?" A few dots of red icing on the teeth to make her point, then a few random ones on the rest of the cookie. "But I think your guy put up a decent fight."
An amused twinkle rose in her eyes at the mention of Lecter. Not that she'd read or seen any of the material, but the reference was something you just somehow picked up, growing up around Muggles. "Well," she said, turning her cookie around to face Maggie and Lizzy. "No cannibalism here. I doubt there are many santa hats or hungry snowmen running around to chomp on."
Dee's eyebrows rose slightly at the new addition to their group. "Another warrior eager to prove his worth?" she asked, examining the gingerbread man, then looked down at the other assembled cookies. "Who's the villain and who's the hero here?"
A closer look at the new arrival brought a grin to her face - specifically the terrible pun printed onto his hoodie. She reached up to poke at her reindeer antlers. "I see I'm not the only rein-Dee-r around." You thought the hoodie pun was terrible? Dee could do worse.

Some people just need some Christmas cheer around the holidays. Rose needed some Christmas cheer. She had had a couple of days where she just felt... anxious. Anxious for no reason at all. Nothing in particular was wrong, other than she was dreading seeing her parents again. Gah, it still felt weird to say parents instead of just her mom. Because now she did have a stepdad and now she had two parents, and Rose didn't like it at all. She was on edge and tense, jumping at the most random things and on her last nerve with things that usually she could tolerate. Rose didn't know why, and that just made her more anxious. Rose needed an activity to help her loosen up and relax. She needed to have some fun with others, with a wholesome Christmas activity to make her smile. And while the best way to spread Christmas cheer is undoubtedly singing loud for all to hear, there were some other options that worked, too. Rose was way too anxious to sing loud for everybody to hear her, so when she heard rumors about some Christmas activities, she just couldn't help herself.
But she couldn't go alone, of course not. She needed somebody there to have fun with, to enjoy their company while doing this Christmas activity, and the first person she thought of was her brother.
Rose ambushed Henry Knight in the corridors, asking him about going with her to decorate cookies. Chaska, her fluffy feline, had followed her. It had taken a good bit of convincing on Rose's end, but Henry gave in, as she knew he would. He was just kind like that.
The four came into the Great Hall- two humans, an orange feline on Henry's shoulder, and Chaska on their heels. She could see the cookies, cookie decorating materials, and a looooot of people she didn't know. Gosh, there were a lot of people here, weren't there? She was glad she was here with Henry. Rose looked up at Henry as he pointed out the room by the end, and nodded, following him over to the group.
They sat down with the girls and the smaller boy, Rose giving an awkward smile and wave to the group. "Hiiii," she said, trying to be friendly. "Uhm- I'm Rose." Rose's voice was a few shades softer than most, and carried an American accent, though it wasn't as strong as it used to be. It was still easy to understand her, she just sounded different. While Loki was very respectfully sitting by the girls, Chaska jumped right in Juniper's lap, looking up at Juniper with her big eyes, then rubbing her cheek against the girl's torso. Rose winced. "Uh- Sorry, that's Chaska. You can push her off you if she's being annoying," Rose said, looking apologetic. Chaska was a very affectionate cat, and she really liked people, a stark contrast to Loki, who was very untrusting to most.
Henry signed to her under the table. The both of them had been learning sign language as the year progressed, and Henry had been teaching her some Arabic, too. He signed under the table "cookie decorating contest," and it took her a couple minutes to remember what the sign "contest" meant, but after a look of confusion flashed over her face, her eyes lit up. Under the table, she signed back at him playfully under the table, "I'm going to kick your butt." She picked up a snowflake, taking a moment to contemplate her choices, and then got to work, drawing a snowflake with white frosting. Then, once she finished and it looked half-good, she added little dots over the cookie with blue icing to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing. She put some clear sprinkles on the cookie to make it look sparkly.
Henry was already done with both of his cookies (of course he was), and he got up, offering people a drink. She smiled, remembering seeing the hot chocolates on her way in. "Will you get me a hot chocolate?" she asked him. She smiled. "Thank you."
She turned to the three girls she was now sitting with. "Soooo tell me about yourselves. Obviously you know Henry. He's my brother."
Teeeeechnically, he was her stepbrother. But that was so complicated to explain and it made their entire friendship feel weird and cold and Rose didn't like that. If she was being technical, he was her stepbrother. But if she was being honest and real with herself, he was her brother, and he always would be.
Looking up at Juniper's cookie, she smiled. "I really like your decorating," she commented to Juniper, halfway sarcastic. The girl wouldn't be able to tell if she was joking or not. Then, turning to Lin and Sophie, she commented, "Y'all's look great, too."

In truth, Winnie had no plans to eat the cookies the house-elves were offering the students of Hogwarts. While the tiny creatures were sweet and likely overworked, the Ravenclaw continued to distrust a lot of the food they brought in. Still, an opportunity for creativity was one that was always accepted by Winnie with open arms, so it was with a smile that she took on the sight of the Great Hall on that cold December day.
With winter break just around the corner, the Irish girl had ditched the usual black robes the students of Hogwarts were required to wear during classes. It was also Sunday, so she had dressed in a white pleated skirt, a Peter Pan collared top, and a loosely knit cardigan that was several sizes too large and quite obviously belonged to the girl's mother. Her long copper hair had been tied into two twin plaits that cascaded down her back and fell against her thighs, and she wore a pair of sparkling snowflake earrings. While Christmas was not exactly her favourite holiday, she did enjoy the cozy atmosphere it provided and several of the stories, including, perhaps unsurprisingly, the Nutcracker.
It was the tune to the march of the toy soldiers that Winnie hummed as she decorated her cookie; a gingerbread man she had used the various supplies that Willow had set out to turn into a little nutcracker. With her cookie finished, she gave the sweet a small smile and tapped her finger against his chocolate chip eyes.

The celebration of Yuletide wasn't something foreign to Adlai in any of the word. She had grown up with several of her childhood friends being catholic, christian, or some other form of the major religious group and on top of that her fathers side of the father was largely catholic as well thus she had somewhat celebrated it herself before. Nonetheless, she had never done much in the guise of participating in celebratory activities for it.
Walking into the Great Hall and seeing it lit in its the several colorful hues glittering lights gave off she couldn't help but grin. Like the past two years of her attending Hogwarts, she came to the social function alone. She would have brought her sister, Dorothy, along but she was too concerned with studying for transfiguration than having a bit of fun.
Sliding into a seat at the table that she presumed was for cookie decorating, Adlai looked down at the bare baked sweet in front of her. She had decorated cookies before just for Eid al-Fitr or simply for fun with her family. Not knowing what to decorate the cookie as she stared at it and as she stared at it a minute passed, and after a minute passed two more went by and then other, and a other, and a other... Goodness gracious... she really had no clue what to do.
She knew she could decorate it as a bell, or a reindeer, or a Santa hat but it all seemed to plain. She wanted hers to be different! So she sat there for what felt like an hour, pondering the possibilities before settling on a conventionally simple idea in creative defeat. Taking whatever green and red frosting was available she proceeded to decorate the cookie to look like a wreath.ReducioEid al-Fitr: an Islamic holiday that is observed by Muslims around the world to mark the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and prayer.

Hunter wasn't too excited for the coming holidays, but the sight of falling snow in the Great Hall really filled him with memories of the time he would spend with his parents and Grandmother. He tried to reminisce for a bit, but witnessing and hearing everyone else's joy had overwhelmed his mind as to what memories he'd get to make here at Hogwarts. He wasn't particularly planning on staying long as he looked up at the ceiling to enjoy the snowfall, but the smell of treats really hit him back to what he really loved. He immediately headed over to the tables of cookies, gingerbread men, icing, and most importantly the pumpkin pastries. He knew he had to leave some for the other students, but he really wanted to take as many as he could and then head back to the common room before he could get caught. The young Ravenclaw boy thought for a bit, and eventually came up with a decent plan.Open to Interactions
Hunter swept himself over to another table to create a mini gingerbread house. He formed the walls and placed a large sum of icing on their sides to keep them stuck together firmly. He made a roof for it, but didn't place it on immediately. Hunter didn't know many students and not many students knew him, so he felt confident that not many students would notice or question him as to what he was doing. He headed back over to the table of pumpkin pastries, looked back and forth to see if the vail of the crowd was enough to hide him, then he started to fill the gingerbread house with the pumpkin pastries he loved so much. 1,2,3...5...7...10. 10 Pastries seemed enough for himself, and he didn't want to be "too" greedy and settled with what he had. He placed the roof of the gingerbread house back on, and began to walk towards the exit of the hall.
