He was still dizzy. But not enough to make him tumble off and hurt himself once more. Perhaps he’d been a bit too hasty in deciding to stand up, but once he did it seemed like his bad luck allowed him to take a break. Fortunately, he didn’t fail at a lumos either. He was a duelist. To fail lumos, would be utterly embarrassing. Hanako allowed a tiny smile to spread across his face, proud of the minor victory he was able to achieve. “ See? I’m fine” said Hana happily, as if he hadn't just forgotten the English language just now.
Hanako was a lover of visuals. Pretty colours, aesthetic themes, hot faces. He was a great appreciator of beauty. Therefore, he more or less regretted casting the lumos spell. Because what greeted him definitely wasn’t a pretty picture- with the exception of that cutie Alec who looked pretty okay apart from him looking like he was 10 minutes from a meltdown. Cute. Would’ve been cuter if it was directed to another person.
“Mhm... I believe you. Can I see?”
“ I said,I’m fine” he retorted once again, curtly and quickly, retracting his free hand from his head.. Did Alec not believe him? He’s standing with a glowing wand in his hand. Sure, he probably had a big bruise on his head. But he’s fine. Just because he looks like a short twig, doesn’t mean he needs any help. Hanako didn’t realise he backed away until Alec did the same without a fight.
“Alright,” he said as he nodded gently “Just... Promise you'll ice it after.” . His lack of insistence made Hana silent and thought over his actions. Perhaps he overreacted a bit? Alec taking a closer look at his wounds didn’t mean he wanted to make fun of Hana’s crappy evasion. With how gently he asked and how much he backed off immediately? He was just worried, of course he was. Someone just got hit by a friggin beam. Any sane person would be more than concerned about that.
But the problem was Hana was the one that got hit by a friggin beam. “Cross my heart, hope to die, stick a cupcake in my eye” he responded lightly, quoting a line from My Little Pony because that's easier said than a ‘yea, sure I’ll do that’. The last thing Hana wants when he’s hurt is attention. Well, to be fair he loved the attention. But there was a right time for attention, and it doesn’t include whenever he’s hurt. The uneasyness was almost unbearable. Strength doesn’t mean biting your tongue and healing in supreme silence. But it certainly wasn’t what his dad taught him.
While the discomfort has already been engraved in Hana’s brain, he knew it was wrong. Yet he couldn’t explain that to Alec without sounding like a jerk in his head. Fortunately, he didn’t even have time to do so when Alec- urged by god knows what force- attempted to make a joke about.. Peaches? Hanako took a second to restrain himself from asking if Alec was also hit by a pole.
“Are you sure you’re not hit by a pole as well?” He said the next second, unable to restrain himself in the end. It came off more playful than concerned because Hana once again had a smile on his face. Astonished and amused that anyone decided to make such a horrible joke and for what? “ Don’t tell me my bad jokes are infectious, please. I’m already worrying enough if my bad luck is infectious” he chuckled lightly, liking how he had something else to focus on than his headache right now.
Alec then suggested they get out, which sounded marvelous to Hana at first. Like of course, the howling winds outside are better than inside here where the tent could potentially fall on them again. That was a bad attempt at sarcasm. Hana just doesn’t like getting wet. Blood? Bruises? Fine. But rain?
Hanako was about to express his concerns until he heard an eerie sound coming from an unknown area.
"Abang tukang bakso- -mari mari sini, s-saya mau beli”
“Yea sure lead the way~” he responded a bit too happily, taking closer steps to Alec. The eerie sounds sounded like there was crying but there is no absolute friggin way that Hana’s getting near whatever that demonic ritual was taking place “ Let’s go, let's go. I’ll be the torch light, you find a way out. ”
It was very difficult to listen to anything but that demonic ritual, but Hana managed to listen to another unknown voice outside. One that's not a demonic ritual. A barrier of bad news fitted them better.” Bannew. That’s their new name if Hana ever had the pleasure of knowing what they looked like. A lovely combination of Bad & News. Genius.
She said something about the Samhain Festival being a dumpster. Knife, snails? Hanako merely listened to Bannew [Juniper] and opted not to comment on anything. His attention was directed towards Percival. He was still at the festival, right? Did he get hurt? Hana was still majorly upset that he went to the ball with Ileen, but he didn’t want him to get..stabbed or slugged- whatever that was.
No! Stop it! Hanako face-palmed himself suddenly, forgetting he had a bruise on his head and immediately pushed him to let out a painful hiss at the impact. “ Falllllllcon Fridge” he winced. Alec was here right now, not Perce. Rainwood could do and date whomever he wanted. That's no longer Hana’s business. Tonight, Alec was his priority and he wasn’t going to let Bannew [Juniper] let him think otherwise. “ Sorry. There was uh - a fly. Anyway, you think it’s true? Did you hear what she said?” yet he couldn’t help but ask his companion about it. For all they know she could just be lying right? Pranks. The festival was actually fine and Percival was having a jolly good time with little miss ‘hah I know how to do a powerful Ventus but not you’. Why should he care, thought the frowning boy.

Nigel sighed as he saw that not the entire tent was up. Was he too distracted when casting the charm?
The young American did not move from his current spot, and his dark brown eyes were fixed on the still-fallen part of the tent as if they were glued there, but his ears were very open and aware of the situation around him. He realised that a big number of students were scared or panic, a lot of them were trying to make an exit and some others were trying to calm themselves down, while the other ones probably were still attempting to free themselves from the fallen tent.
He was also wondering about the three adults who had conversed with him tonight. Kels was just about to trip the lights fantastic with him. Just before the school nurse invited him, Orion was heading out the ball to the festival area. (Could he see the tent falling? Or did something happen to him that he could not come back and help those in the ball area?) Tuesday - what happened with him? The last time Nigel saw the Herbology professor, he was asked by Orion to assist him in the festival, but the Astronomy teacher did not really see him going out as Kels was already taking him to the dance floor.
Nigel only hoped that they were all doing fine. Trying to concentrate, he cast Erecto once more in hopes that it would work perfectly this time.

Talking with @Haley Rose and trying to find a way out.
He wasn't sure why he thought his plan would work. He was a Second Year and the tent was very big and very heavy, but it did frustrate him when it didn't work. Who knew the amount of students that laid injured underneath? Simon pushed at the fabric he could to try and get it to bubble up away from him, away from Haley. They still needed to BREATHE after all and heavy fabric wasn't the best for that.
So if lifting didn't work, maybe tearing it would. "I'm okay, Haley, I'm okay," he assured her. She seemed a little worried about him and he wondered if she noticed that the lantern had fallen on him. He was okay, for the most part - as he could still move and think, but he did feel a little disoriented and if he could see better, perhaps he could tell if he had any sign of a bruise or injury. He appreciated her concern but was more appreciative that she was alright herself.
"The fabric is too heavy, it won't lift. Help me try and find a seam and I'll try to rip it." Trying to rip the fabric at it's strong point didn't seem to be very logical. Of course Hogwarts would have something so well made that it would last for CENTURIES. He ran his hand along the fabric, hoping to feel a bump. Perhaps somewhere there would be a snag or a hole or a place where two parts met. He could use his dhampir strength to rip them an opening in which they could exit from.
"Wait, here we go," he said as he found a part that might work. Simon tried to tug at the fabric in just the right way with his strength to see if it would give.

Haley didn't really believe that he was okay, probably he just didn't realise it yet but she was content with that. After all, she was so rattled herself that she hardly noticed anything. "Okay we'll find some way." She tried to reassure him and herself. She tried to take a deep breath, calm down and think clearly, but it was more than difficult. While Simon was already trying to tear the tent apart somehow, she tried to come up with a back-up plan. Before she could put anything sensible together in her head, Simon brought her back to reality.
She blinked in his direction, puzzled. "Right." She stammered to herself, but glanced around her before doing so, hoping to find something helpful. She searched the floor with her gaze to find a piece of the many broken glasses and once she found one, she would take it to Simon. "Here try this."
If that attempt didn't work either, they would have to try something else. If they really failed to destroy the fabric, Haley would make another suggestion. "Maybe we can lift part of the tent together and kind of roll out from under it." She suggested. Better than doing nothing, the Gryffindor thought to herself and made her way to the side of the tent to grab it at the bottom and would wait for Simon so that he could help her.

After successfully breaking one of the plates on the ground, Aaron managed to create a large hole in the tent near them. "I'm okay, no blood," he said when Eun-ji expressed concern. Aaron and Eun-ji exited the tent into the night air, and he followed her along the edge of the tent to find a place to cast the levitation charm. The pair ran into Flash and Opeila, and it was a relief to see some familiar faces. Aaron made sure to let them know that he was also glad to see them, then nodded along with Eun-ji's words. He would stick to the plan they had decided on, he just wasn't very confident in being able to help much here.
"Wingardium leviosa!" Aaron said, mimicking the wand movement that he had watched Eun-ji do. He was certainly not the best spellcaster, but hopefully he could pull off this first-year spell without too much trouble. It would be a bit embarrassing if it failed, but then again, maybe the others' efforts would make up for his failure.

Roleplaying as Lee Ye-jun from Beauxbatons – Encyclopedia
Violet in English, Red in Korean and Blue in FrenchThough he couldn’t be 100% sure, it appeared the entire situation was indeed some kind of misunderstanding between the two girls. What he was sure of however, was that both he and his classmate looked awfully out of place in the situation. At one point, Ye-jun almost wished for some kind of distraction that would end the interaction entirely so they could go their separate ways in peace. That being said, by distraction he definitely did not mean the whole damn tent falling onto their heads.
Luckily, the young wizard was pretty agile and managed to avoid getting hurt. His first thought went to his cousin but there was no way he would find her amidst the chaos that followed. Sure, he passed by her on the dance floor at one point but that was all information he had. And so for now he just had to hope her date would take care of her until they found each other again. It was Maximilien's voice that eventually brought his attention back to others. “I’m okay…what about you guys?” He tried to scan them for injuries. It wasn’t easy in the darkness but it looked like both his classmate and his “date” got hurt to some degree. “I know some basic healing spells but I suppose we should also try to get out of here?” Before he could actually attempt to do anything however, Maxi already pulled out his wand and cut the fabric using Diffindo.
“Bon travail!”Good job! Ye-jun immediately praised the boy for his efforts. It didn’t seem to help him with the injury though. We should definitely get out now. “Well no...it's probably wiser to help you first before try to go anywhere.” He said to himself and Lucia before pulling out his wand. He was strong so he would have no issues carrying most of her weight even if they decided to escape first but he would prefer not to make it worse by making her walk. Eun-ji trusted him with her friend and he would do his best to help. “Reparifors.” He heard the redhead utter a familiar healing spell. “Isn’t that for magically induced injuries? You might want to try ferula instead.” He advised calmly before before focusing on his own spell. “Ferula.” Ye-jun finally voiced out the familiar incantation while gently tapping the wound. Let’s hope it works…

Expecting the rest of the night to go smoothly was a mistake anyone could ever make. Laughter that once filled the whole room now replaced by catastrophe. Nicholas was one of the many students that had a terrible fate, not only trapped under the fallen tent, but also getting crushed by the heavy pole. Perhaps it was his strong determination to break free, his second attempt finally paid off.As he was able to crawl his way out of the pole, he would see a little opening not far from where he stood. But someone needs to remind him that his date, Aurora Ranvier, was still weeping and shaking on the ground, singing a song about wanting a meatball. Was she panicking or hungry? We wouldn’t know. Would Nicholas skedaddle out of the tent or help the crying unicorn along the way? His choice.Strength Check (dc 16)

Speaking of the meatball song, not very far away from the duo blusher, Hanako Tone was getting creeped out by Aurora’s singing voice that he thought was a demonic ritual. Will it haunt Hana’s life for an eternity or will he be able to brush it off and stand on his feet?Despite the eeriness, he was able to stay focused on maintaining his Lumos spell to assist Alec to search for an exit. It helped tremendously, of course, even though without the lights, Alec would be able to do it on his own. The young gryffindor would see an exit, the same one that Nicholas had seen.

Let us move on to the next group, the Hogwarts lovebirds, Winnie Harper and Mathias Pride. Both were facing an unfortunate event, but the Ravenclaw chaser was the one who had to endure more damage. Being trapped under a heavy thing, unable to move, casting a wand lighting charm was a good idea to see the surrounding more clearly whilst Mathias was free to move and jump around, he decided to cut the tent fabric with the knife he had brought.A light would emit from the tip of Winnie’s wand, lightening up her surroundings. She would notice some cuts and bruises, as well as a fresh wound, probably from the pole or some glass shards and whatnots. The light would enhance the pretty face of Mathias, hopefully she would be able to handle the tremendous handsomeness of her date. Both Winnie and Mathias would hear the sound of a fabric getting ripped, and not long after that, rain would come falling on their skin.

Two first years, one was lying under the pole, the other was trying to help a fellow student. It was probably their first time attending the Hogwarts ball, too bad it would only leave them trauma rather than a fun experience.Perhaps it was the darkness, or maybe just her lack of strength, Della Barfield couldn’t lift the pole that was heavier than her entire weight. Hui Ming would have to stay there for a little longer, maybe try and lift it up by himself, or just wait for the rescue team to come. (Hui is now bleeding, -25/round)Della's Strength Check (dc 13)

Next, the Blossom Ball sweetheart, the couple that got married (unofficially) at the spring festival between last April and May. Simon Kincaid and Haley Rose. The hufflepuff boy’s movement was limited due to the heavy metal pole above him. Maybe he wanted to get some fresh air, to make the surroundings less suffocating for him. He then tried to rip the fabric of the tent. For whatever reason, Haley tried to help by lifting the fabric up. Despite her success in doing so, she would only be greeted by the darkness and the unfathomable of fabrics. She would feel the rain from the outside from the opening that Simon made. Haley would be free to go. Simon, however, still needs to lift the heavy thing that prevents him from going anywhere. (Simon is bleeding, -25/round).

The adults, Nigel Read and Kelsey Brumby were doing their best to help the trapped students. The astronomy professor would try once again to set up the tent with Erecto spell whilst the nurse would try and cast a fancy weather modifying charm. Some other students were kind enough to help the others by levitating the fabric. With a swish and flick, the fallen tent magically rose up, and slowly levitated from the ground, revealing the trapped students as well as those who were under the poles. The fabric would lift up, however the heavy poles would stay in place. The majority of people there would be free to go whilst those who are unable to move due to the poles still need to make their way out of there. (Another strength check). Kelsey, however, wouldn’t be able to fight off the angry mother nature. He would see some sparks and stuff, but it wasn’t as strong as he might have expected, then fade away to nothing.

The sounds that escaped from his lips were better suited to an animal than to a human, let alone a child. Sputters and grunts of exertion and exhaustion accompanied ragged breaths and spittle, the latter of which clung to the boy’s aforementioned lips, providing the flesh with a glossy sheen. His eyes glittered with madness, raw terror having tainted the very fabric of his mind. The sensation of being trapped, the sheer and utter blackness had engulfed him, and all that he could focus on was escape from such a desolate hellscape. That primal drive forced him upward, the beam that had cracked into his shoulder and pinned him to the ground coming with him, raising ever so slightly off of the ground. It was an effort, and it felt near Herculean, but in time he managed to force the wooden pole far enough to the side that he was able to slide out from under it. From there, his panicked scrambles finally found purchase, and he was rewarded with his efforts with an escape from the canvas that had enveloped both him and his senses.
The sight that met him was hardly a pleasant one. The ball that they had poured so much work into, the decorations they had chosen and hung about, the enchantments and charms that they had managed to convince the professors to help them with lay in tatters. Wind and water continued to sweep through the wreckage of the tent, the howling of the former rendering much of the distant conversations that must have been happening as little more muted puppet shows. Still, Nicholas did not take in the sights, instead, his eyes darted rapidly from place to place, wand light flashed in parts, illuminating the faces and figures of students. Some were injured, others not. As it was, he wasn’t particularly concerned as to the wellbeing of anyone else. His rational mind had been lost to the memories of the boggart, the so-called test of his courage having done little more than provide him with a rather raw emotional scar.
He was ragged, both in appearance and in demeanour. His flannel shirt, the nice one of which he had been so proud, had been frayed and was slowly becoming logged with ruby blood. Fortunately, the shirt had been red prior to his injury, and the growing patch of wetness was not noticeable. At least, it was unlikely to be so until it began to seep into his denim jacket. Brown hair, long and once groomed, had been slicked with mud and rain, it clung to his head, grass in some places caking into the mess of curls. Yet, it was the way in which he held himself that most of his dignity had been lost. He hunched, a hand grasping at his wounded shoulder, attempting to waylay the pain with a lazy massage.
Nicholas’s eyes shot toward the exit, the light of one of the wands had illuminated it, but the gradual raising of the canvas only served to assist in showing it in all its glory. Freedom, freedom from the blackness of the night. He turned to move, his focus singular.
“s-saya mau beli,” The song was faint, barely audible over the cacophony that had become the interior of the tent.
Thunder rumbled in the distance, and vague shouting, the words entirely lost to nothingness made their way to Nicholas’s ears with offhanded laziness. Yet, the panicked singing of a foreign tongue grabbed the boy’s attention in a way that nothing else had managed to. Perhaps, it was an insurmountable connection between the souls of the singer and the listener, a bond they had not yet explored. More likely, it was because he was standing right next to her. They had been holding hands for much of the night, only the sudden falling of the tent had broken their grip. Luck, and the terrors of both flesh and mind, had trapped them in place. So it was that Nicholas escaped from his own hell and entered into that of Aurora Ranvier.
The blonde girl was shivering, in the foetal position as she sang her peculiar song, the words punctuated by sobs. The sight brought Nicholas back to himself, at least partially. He blinked, as if the thoughts were being processed at half their usual speed, each individual concept doused in molasses before it was set loose. For far too long he stood there, unable to process much of anything. Then, instinct took over once more. However, whereas it had once driven him to run, it now sent him down to the girl.
Nicholas crouched before Aurora, drawing his face level with her’s, and then clapped his hands down on her shoulders. The force of the effort sent sharp spikes of pain up and through his bleeding joint, but it felt dull, hardly even worth noticing.
“Oi!” He all but shouted at her, trying to draw her back to herself, “Aurora!”
He shook her next, regardless of her prior reaction to his rather forceful awakening.
“What are you doing!? We have to get the hell out of here, the whole bleeding tent has come down,” His voice was angrier than he intended it to be, the raw emotion that had taken the form of fear having been channeled to something slightly more productive, given the circumstances, “Cut the cat-melodeon singing!”
Despite his conversation with Aurora, it was clear that he didn’t really intend on listening to what she had to say, he was far too mentally drained for such. As such, regardless of her actions, he would make to haul her to her feet and all but drag or carry her to the exit.

Fall Ball
She needed a plan. What was she going to do? How would she be able to help the people that were trapped inside the tent? This wasn't supposed to happen, she wasn't prepared for this! She hadn't brought anything that could help in this situation, except maybe her wand. Maybe she could try to cast a spell on the tent to lift it?
Before the young girl could finish making her plan, her friend grabbed her hand and rushed towards the tent. Samantha had no choice but to follow her friend towards the tent, which stressed her out because she had no plan yet. She needed to know what to do before doing something, that's just how it worked. You can't just do random things, you need a plan.
"What are we going to do?" she asked worriedly. There were people trapped inside the tent, maybe some of them even hurt. But how could she help? Making holes in the tent at random places wouldn't work, because it would be very possible that no one was near the hole and it was useless. Lifting the fabric of the tent was the same thing, if nobody was around it would be useless. Whatever she wanted to do, she needed to make sure she was close to somebody who needed her help.
"Maybe we should walk around the tent, trying to find somebody? We need to do something!" She couldn't just stand there and watch. She needed to help! She started to walk around the tent, very angry at the organizers of the event. If they would have checked the weather none of this would have happened.
After what seemed like an eternity of walking around trying to find somebody she could help, the tent rose and seemed to go back to normal. Samantha did not know who made it happen, but she did know that if she wanted to help somebody now was the time to do it. When the fabric rose, Samantha could see all the students who had been trapped under the fallen tent. Her eyes quickly scanned the crowd, who needed the most help?
With a racing heart, Samantha made her way inside the tent looking for somebody she could help. Her eyes quickly scanned all the students. Most people seemed to be able to walk out of the tent themselves, while others were lying under need fallen objects. One of the students who was trapped was Simon, a friend of Samantha.
"Simon!" the girl yelled worriedly, as she made her way towards her friend as fast as she possibly could. "Are you okay?" Samantha didn't need to ask what had happened, it all seemed pretty straightforward. The tent had fallen and Simon had been hit by the heavy metal pole, which now trapped him.
Samantha had completely forgotten about all the other students, her friend needed her help now, she did not care about the others anymore. She was soaking wet and very cold. She had bare legs and that her dress and her hair were soaking wet did not help her feel warm, but right now she did not care about it. She wasn't the one trapped, that was Simon.
If they had seen each other under other circumstances Samantha would have complimented Haley on her dress and Simon on his outfit too, but now she did not. "We need to get him out of here!" Samantha didn't know how long the tent was going to stay in the air. "Can you guys help me lift this thing?" She gestured towards the pole and tried to lift it whether the others helped her or not.

Fall Ball
Interacting with @Haley Rose and @Samantha Salwis
What exactly happened? He didn't know. But as he had created an opening, another heavy object fell from above and landed right on him - a late comer to the party. Simon felt the crushing weight on his leg but instead of focusing on himself, he was looking around. With holes now being torn in the fabric and other students around casting Lumos, he was able to see some. His eyes squinted from the light but he saw Haley and was glad to see she was okay. "Go on Haley, go through the opening." The breeze from the strong wind that came through made him see that it was going to be large enough and it felt good - even if it did draw attention to the fact that at least some sort of head wound was bleeding. Head and most likely his leg now perhaps. "I'll get this eventually and follow you. Go on." Who knew what else could fall and he didn't want her to fall to harm.
Simon pushed again, and while leaning forward made his leg hurt all the more, he knew he needed all his upper body strength to help him if he was going to make this pole budge. He then heard another familiar voice besides Haley's - his former quill companion that was upgraded to friend, Samantha Salwis. "Sam," he said, not wanting her to be in there either. "Sam, I'm okay, but you and Haley really need to go." It wasn't safe there, but she knew that.
If he could have, Simon would have reached out and gently tried to stop his friend from helping but he was pinned down and couldn't. All he could do was hope she and Haley would listen to his words and leave the tent. He tried to push the pole off as well. If he was free, maybe then the stubborn girls would go.
