When she lived in the states Kyoko was docile and shy. She didn't have much of a voice nor friends for that matter. She kept herself busy with books, long walks, and as ridiculous as it sounds, talked to nature. When she moved to York under the parentage of Viktor she became more outspoken and a bit unruly. She was sassy and sophisticated, with an open mid to accept any and all flaws (except her parents). She kept her hobbies of walking and talking to nature but this time did it with friends.
Out of the group she was seen as the dare devil. She ran head first without thinking. Leaped before looking and loved without knowing. On the surface she was free spirited but like any woman her wrath was immeasurable. Vengeful and petty Kyoko can hold grudges to the grave. Because she's out spoken she can come off as blunt and rude. She's opinionated enough to take things into her own hands and that includes dealing justice.
LIKES | Chocolate frog's , star gazing, music, hiking, enjoying nature, anything dealing with athletics, literature, dark arts, delicious food, films, spray painting, singing, swimming, violence.
DISLIKES |Drama, people without pride, being looked at differently, being called a monster, fear, not speaking ones mind, cowards, people that don't defend themselves.

Kyoko resembles her mother more so in appearance than personality. like her mother at the age of elven she's 5 ft and weighs no more than 135 pounds. Her hair may seem unruly but she's four months into her starter loc's process, which gives her a boyish look despite her slender frame. Kyoko is African American with a milk chocolate complexion. Her eyes are a dark brown which are often mistaken for black.
Her attire consists of blacks, whites, reds and on occasions pink. She favors pants more than skirts and long sleeved shirts over blouses. She accessories herself with crossed earrings, bracelets and bands. Her bags ranges from satchels to brief cases, even suitcases. The only feminine thing she claims to wear are clogs and even then, she'd rather where converses or boots.
For birthmarks one can be found on her right ankle in the shape of a medium sized burn. As far as make up goes she strays from man-made beauty products and relies solely on natural beauty. A.k.a, she drinks lots of water.
HAIR | Black ; Locs EYES | Mix between Dark brown / Hazel SKIN | Milk Chocolate PIERCINGS | Earlobes SCARS | None

Somewhere on the outskirts of Pennsylvania is a town known for nothing. There are exactly 100 residents, one school, one church and one farm. The towns name was taken after the late mayor, Acer which later became Acer Field after his passing. The town went to his son Garfield, a man known to be cunning and manipulative. To commemorate his succession as mayor he held the first annual celebration, a festive autumn hunt to prepare the people for winter. However, the citizens were standoffish. The hunt was to take place in the backwoods a few yards away from the town. It was uncharted territory said to house all sorts of wicked things which is why none every ventured there. Garfield was quick to rest their frightful hearts and had thought ahead of all their concerns since he too was told the creepy bedtime stories.
He claimed that he had already scouted out the area and laid waste to anything abnormal. The people were still a bit standoffish so he added in a grand feast and a thousand dollar prize to the winner. Once money was involved the people were at arms and readied themselves for the weekend, except one family. The Dickens was a house of four; Renee the mother, Vincent the father, Zoe the first born , and Kyoko the second born. The family were seen as clowns due to their surname and were often picked on in forms of gestures; "What the Dickens!" whenever they passed. Word got around quick within the two days of the announcement that they wanted no part in the festivities. Garfield himself made a personal visit to persuade them otherwise.
He said it didn't look good if the whole town wasn't participating. He made jabs at Vincent's free spiritedness and how Renee's strict hand shouldn't be the Debbie downer of new experiences. Renee felt provoked by his words and decided that the family would be happy to join. In fact, they'd be so happy to join that they'd be among the suppliers who would drive the trucks filled with ammo and food. As such the the weekend rolled around and everyone gathered their families to the back entrance of the town. Renee and her family along with another were loading up the trucks with supplies. Between tossing the blankets and drinking, Renee had introduced themselves. Zoe was the oldest , a sweeet nine year old girl who managed well with bringing the water. Strapped to her back was Kyoko who had just turned five but had walked herself tired before the event.
Vincent was a burly man who made his business with tree cutting, of course today he was nothing more than a driver. Then, there was her, a woman with fairly weak constitution that kept the house clean and tended to her positions and elixirs. Everything was normal. Nothing was out of place, no danger afoot , no tingling warnings. Everyone claimed it'd be a night to remember and a night to remember it was.
It had been an hour since the hunt began and many were out shooting and hollering within the forest beneath a full moon. Many complained about the lack of light which some tried to provide with candles, and she the truck lights. It was about 2 am when the cool winds started coming through and the trees started to whistle. Among the steps of the residents there were subtle creaks and cracks of twigs off in the distance. Renee at one point thought she heard a snarl but Vincent reassured her it was the wolves trying to escape. Trying to remain composed she pulled out a book but not even a page passed, several gunshots were fired and screams cried for help before all was silent. Renee slammed her book closed as she opened the truck door to step down. "Vince?" Zoe had pointed toward a path further into woods where he had gone; "I'll go get him mam" She ran. Renee screeched as she ran after her, forgetting something very important.
A few feet in and Renee lost sight of Zoe. Renee frantically called her name till she heard her little girl scream then a SNAP. As she took a step forward Vincent came sprinting out, grabbing hold of Renee before he led her to take cover by trees. "Their here Ma. Damn wolves." Renee covered her mouth as she tried to whisper without tears. "Them regular wolves." "Nah Ma. One of them big ol ones. Tall sums of trucks , standing on hind legs with sense in their eyes." Vincent hushed as he heard its steps get closer. Together they drew one big breath as they watched it walk past. Renee figured that if they were quiet enough it'd leave...but it didn't. It heard the cries of a child forgotten in the truck with gleaming lights. Renee's heart dropped as it stumbled to its four legs and dashed toward the sound.
Renee jumped from the spot. "MY BABY!" She ran after the creature grabbing all sorts of rocks and twigs. When she came to the opening she saw its body half way in with its talons ripping apart the truck seats. The baby wailed loudly which shook Renee's attention back to reality. "Ya get away ya hear! Ya get!" She tossed the rocks at the monster while Vincent put all his weight into his shoulders to slam the car door shut on it. The werewolf screamed which seemed to have alerted the rest of the group who were trying to find their way out. "Renee!" Garfield yelled as he pulled the trigger against the monster. It howled a terrible cry that sounded off for three others to take aim and fire. The werewolf wounded, fled from the group and towards another part of the woods. Renee collected herself and dashed to the front seat of the car where Kyoko was wrapped in a bloodied blanket. Renee fumbled to uncover the sheet and to her aching heart saw that her baby's girl arm was just a bitten mess.
"A doctor! A doctor!"

Two years had passed since the incident but for Renee it felt like yesterday. A night after the attack the town held several funerals for the lost and one was for Zoe. Losing Zoe had truly taken a toll on Renee that she had lost touch with Vincent and even Kyoko. Rules for Kyoko had become stricter with no leg room for her to experience or express herself. Renee kept Vincent at arms length and even separated their bed. Day after day and night after night she'd weep and rock in Zoe's room. She was plagued with night terrors that even the doctor couldn't fix. He could however grant Kyoko wolfsbane. Though she was young he still felt that it needed to be maintained even if the signs are subtle. Many times the doctor asked if she knew and each time Vincent said no. He wanted this event to remain a secrete so every time it was time for her medicine he'd simply say it's juice to make you stronger.
Kyoko lived in the dark when it came to what happened at the festival. Every time she'd ask they'd look at her with pity, some would even shun her. She could never remember her sister all too well but when she tried everything became a blur. Her mother said she was caught in a car accident while others simply gasped and hurried along as if she was the plague. Kyoko knew she was different but she couldn't put her finger on it. When she snuck out with the kids she was far faster, far stronger than even the boys. Her sense of smell seemed heightened and the Doctor said her hearing was excellent. Her apatite seemed normal , how she walked, how she breathed all seemed to fit everyone else. She couldn't shake the uneasiness that haunted her nor the phases of the moon that entranced her.
If she had more time she would've cracked the case but all of her problems came to a halt. Her father had been seeing woman behind her mother's back and word had seemed to slip that the most recent was a neighbor. Her nights of silence had become a concert of rage and expectations. Her father needed affection which Renee wasn't giving and Renee needed support but Vincent had given so much without a thank your or sorry from her. They were both torn, needing something that the other couldn't give or failed to measure up too. Their feud pulled the family apart and eventually Renee slept in another room and completely stopped talking to Vincent. When she'd try to talk to Kyoko it was reduced to nothing but harsh words and yelling. Kyoko would try to confide within her father but even he pushed her away.
Alone with nothing but her thoughts Kyoko fled from home on the days here parents were busy. She stayed in the forest where everything happened, slept, danced, climbed and made her mark there. Then on a full moon when the couple were at their worst, Vincent came to give Kyoko her medicine before leaving. For the first time she asked if he couldn't but he refused. Kyoko tried a different approach and insisted that he didn't leave mom. Enraged Vincent went on a tangent on how she was just as bad as him. He rambled about someone named Viktor, about England, about a new life-a fresh start. He said she'd leave her behind to start a new family one that wouldn't be destroyed. By the time Renee could come in to hush him he had already mentioned Zoe's death and even her own tragic incident. He said she loathed what she became during nights like these and sought to leave it all.
Confused, upset and heartbroken Kyoko knocked the medicine from her dads hand and fled. Deep, deep into the forest she curled herself into a ball, crying and screaming until the sounds were no longer of her hidden hurt but by the transformation. She wanted the pain to stop, commanded it to stop but it took over and she had lost all sense of herself. Her mind had wandered with nothing but darkness to pose the question "Where and who am I?" Kyoko awakened under the rays of sunlight, naked and covered in blood. Beside her were wolves and deer ripped open and half eaten. Her hand brushed against the lifeless creatures yet fear didn't overcome her, not now. The fear had hit when her parents came running and before they were even a foot in front had backed away with eyes that called her a monster.
I didn't want to be like this, she wanted to say. I didn't choose this life, but how could she. They were in shock and she felt broken. For the rest of the day all was quiet. Neither parent comforted her. The house rules had been changed and she could no longer go outside. Neither had time to home school her so the teacher managed to come by everyday for at least an hour or two. Kyoko's docile nature became rebellious and quick lipped. She had gained a quick temper that like them became explosive in fights. She had no outlet to release her anger nor could she go outside to run it off. She was always in discomfort, always sick of the medicine, sick of being grounded. She felt caged but who could honestly blame them. She was a danger to everyone, but even so, she was still young, where was the guidance?

For a while things seemed consistent. Renee would tend to her shops of potions and elixirs during the day. At night she'd cry for an hour then the rest she'd spend giggling while on the phone with Viktor. Vincent tended to his trees during the day. Mid day he'd drop of the medicine without a hello or bye then disappear until dinner time. He'd come in drunk with the smell of perfume and lipstick stains on his neck. At midnight the doors would slam to their bedroom with not a peep or exchange. Kyoko minded her business and explored what she could of that house that she hadn't already seen. Mid day the teacher would come over with homework and she'd finish it before he'd leave. The teacher would make efforts to talk to her parents. "She's outstanding. Her mind is truly that of a genius! Gifted I say." Though they could care less.
He'd take note of the kitchen and how bare the cupboards would be. The laundry was thrown about. Trash piled against the door for days. Renee claimed she was knees deep in her work but Vincent would simply shrug it off. When asked Kyoko would claim it was her fault. They were doing this for her sake, for her to live and grow up right. The teacher felt something was off with her comments. How could this benefit a child? Several knocks on the door alerted the couple in which they rushed to Kyoko's room to see if she was clothed. With relief they saw she was just as she should've been and had even drunk the medicine. "What could they want?" Renee opened the door and to her surprise was faced with Garfield and two town officers. "What can I help ya boys with?" Garfield could see a little bit of the home and was disgusted at the site. His grimace could relay that much as he found Kyoko hiding behind a column. He motioned her forward in which she obeyed but was stopped by her mothers grip. "I said what can I do ya for?"
Garfield tipped his hat before he let out a heavy sigh. "The teachers been sayin some things, not that you would know mam. It seems like this house ain't fit for her anymore. Yall've done enough haven't ya. We ain't see ya at service nor at the shops. Poor kid here hasn't been in touch with any of her friends let alone gone to school. Ya callin the teacher out her for what. Ya'll got her taken the medicine right so I don't see why she needs to be caged up in here like some animal." Kyoko winced at the word. "We got the paper work for her temporary custody. She'll be living with Ms. Mary till ya'll figure out what the hell it is ya'll wanna do." Garfield already knew Vincent's recent track records. Renee's business was just a slip of the tongue for him as he vented to the women that'd take him.
Garfield grabbed for Kyoko but Renee didn't budge. "Look here mam. I was being nice but I'm about to get rough." Renee released her hold as Kyoko fell forward into the Mayor's arms. "This is ya fault ya know." Renee quipped as she grabbed at her dress. "That stupid event. On that stupid night. Ya said you scouted the place. Ya said ya cleared it clean. I lost my little girl cuse of ya. My precious little girl. She was all I had!" Her lips couldn't stop fast enough before she covered them. She couldn't bare to look down but even Vincent knew she had gone too far. Garfield tutted his tongue as he lead Kyoko away. "Ya had two girls ya know." Renee turned to Vincent but he had already turned his back on her. He stood there taking a good look around before he came to terms with what he did. "I guess I should've been grateful that all she ate was some bloody wolves and deer. But I looked at her like I had looked at that thing. I pushed her away. We pushed her away. Now the teacher done got the mayor involved and now this."
Renee shook her head as she pointed out toward the open road. "Ya don't understand. Its not our fault its his. He turned our little thing into that. How can I love something that tore up my baby girl." Vincent stomped his foot as he turned around, shaking his fist. "God damnit Renee she's still our little girl. She still the same blessed thing you gave birth too. It ain't her fault. It ain't his fault. Look at ya self. Blame ya self! Ya left her alone! Ya remember that," Vincent shoved past her as he collected his coat and keys. "I ain't got the right to have her call me daddy. I ain't got the right to chase her either." Renee dropped to her knees as she sobbed. "And ya know what. I ain't got time for ya. I'm heading down to the office to get this settled out. Me and you? It's over. We've changed and its a damn shame that it took em taking her for me to even see that."
Yes. Out of the two Vincent was the first to come to terms with what happened and how things changed-how he changed. His trip to the office was filled with guilt, a guilt he couldn't bare. He had followed through with several procedures; one, filing for a divorce and the other for custody. He knew he didn't have any right but if he had a chance to make up for it, he wanted to chase it. Renee on the other hand did nothing but pity her situation. She had called Viktor countless times but this time she told him everything. Viktor was torn between pity and disgust as she had neglected her child and even said she only had one. She knew what Vincent went to do but wasn't prepared to come to terms with it. Viktor asked if she had planned to take custody. Out of everything that's happened she needed to. It would've made things right, would've begun the process of healing.
She was unsure about it but she trusted Viktor. On another day she took her own trip to the office to sign the papers then to file for custody. When it came time for the hearing the judge denied their case and found neither fit to take care of her. "Find another caretaker or she's orphaned." He said crudely before making his way off the stand. Renee felt her heart drop as she had truly lost the only child she had left. Vincent on the other hand was struck with worry. He had no suitable partners that would take her, nor family or even friends. Vincent put aside all odds and asked Renee if she had anyone she could trust.
For a minute Renee couldn't think of anyone. She sat and pondered until she heard his soft voice in her ear. "Viktor." Vincent scrunched his nose. "Your lover. Ya must be loosin ya mind. That quack is all the way in England. If you think I'm gonna let her go anywhere that far away let alone with a stranger than you-" The judge stopped in his tracks as he heard the couple bicker. "Keep in mind Mr and Mrs. Dickens that you will not be able to see her regardless of where she is stationed. This is truly a goodbye for you and the little one. " Vincent's jaw dropped as he watched the judge trudge away. "What was that."
Renee slammed her hand on the table to alert the judge. "Viktor! Viktor! " The judge sighed as he waved her away. "Send me the files Mrs. Dickens and no later by midnight tonight."
"Lets see. It says here Kyoko Dickens, age 7 with a serious ailment which I take..." Viktor peered over the paper to look at the girl who screamed anarchy. "Bit at a young age on a full moon by a-" She looked up to see if he would say. Go ahead. Monster. "Werewolf thus is diagnosed with Lycanthropy." She looked up at him completely as he rambled on about her profile. "Seems like the special package has arrived safely with all of her details and necessities." He shot her a smile as he grabbed her bags. "I heard the exit was quite brutal. All that bickering and they lost a precious moment to save a dying flame." He opened up the car door so that she could get in first. "I hear you like the out doors Hm? My house is actually on a hill top near a forest. Lots of room to run around and explore."
Kyoko slid into the back seat , refusing to respond to his advances. "They say your like you're father in that aspect. He's a tree man I think. Loves the outdoors, love to wander and think. There are some kids here around your age with similar hobbies." She huffed as she bumped her forehead against the passenger window. his chuckle carried a bit of worry as he put her bags in the trunk before buckling in behind the wheel. "I know you don't know me but I hope you give me the chance to at least get to know you. York probably isn't as warm as Pennsylvania but I can say for sure that we have the best views of nature and hidden mysteries."
Hidden mysteries, abandon alley ways , and sparkling rivers, Viktor wasn't lying. Kyoko had spent at least two months exploring a portion of Viktor's home and back yard. When she wasn't she went to school for only half the day and spent the rest with a rag tag group of deviants who graffitied the walls, pick pocketed small change and trespassed on abandon private properties. Some days they'd play tag and she'd chase them all throughout York, growling and snarling as they tried to run from the wolf; which she felt was too ironic. When night rolled around she ate with Viktor, listened to him ramble and watched him drink his own medicine, though she knew it wasn't the same. He tried his best to understand her but there was fear behind her eyes with every attempt. She didn't want to get to know him. She didn't care about his life or how he felt about mom.
She knew he knew what she was but that didn't change anything. Just because you know doesn't mean you accept it. With all of these thoughts she shut him out. She grew more rebellious until she had finally gotten caught. She had nowhere to run besides the bathroom which was the closest to the kitchen table. She watched as Viktor spread about the paint cans and for the first time saw him express something other than delight. He started with a lecture then rambled on about his life and then it somehow ended up back to her. He kept referencing how smart she was, how outstanding and brilliant her teachers claimed her to be. He said he sensed a bird wanting to fly but doesn't quite know how. He thinks she thinks she's caged despite not being. He said the whole world was hers she just had to learn how to navigate it.
He said all those words but Kyoko took it with a grain of salt. She promised not to do it again but that just meant she'd make his life a living hell. From dusk to dawn she'd create unnecessary racket. Screaming, slamming doors and knocking down books. Her rage began to build as each action seemed worse than the last, then finally it happened. One day she slammed her room door which then opened the front. When Viktor witnessed the door opening he thought nothing of it; "Must be the wind." On another day she stomped continuously in her room and with each thump turned on a faucet within the house. "Must be the knobs." Next, were thrown pillows, then after were thrown books. Finally, Viktor went to confront her behavior but she reused to see him. When he forced open the door she screamed forcing the door to shut.
Huh? Kyoko had stopped. Sat in silence as she looked at the door. Viktor tried to come in again which agitated her anger. Screaming again the door had slammed and then both realized at that moment it was her. Viktor knocked this time waiting for her signal but she said nothing. After a few minutes of waiting he opened the door to see her in a state of shock. Was she happy? Afraid? Viktor managed to safely make his way over to sit by her side. He reassured her that it wasn't his goal to turn her world upside down, if anything he was here to make it better.
He explained that what she had was beautiful. With the right teacher she could do anything. Kyoko remained in disbelief but apart of her knew that this was real. She didn't know what to make of it, how to begin processing it. Magic! It sounded cool but it was something unknown to her, so obviously it was something she wasn't too comfortable with; especially now knowing that things were being thrown about because of her tantrums. Was this like her ailment. What if she couldn't control it like she couldn't control it. Kyoko burrowed her head into her pillow as she wished her gift was never discovered. She had too many things to deal with, now magic! Say it isn't so.
In time Viktor managed to overturn her fears and she was able to live much more freely. She had a say in many things. She spent actual quality time with him. There was never a day when he wasn't home to tuck her in or a weekend that he'd take her out for a daughter-dad day. Though she missed her parents she couldn't help but feel utter joy for these moments. Within a short amount of time she had forgotten about her father and mother. When Renee pushed to visit, Kyoko feared her time with him would be like her time in the States. Viktor however, denied her visits and in time denied her. Through court work Kyoko became Viktor's official daughter but out of the little respect she had for her father, Kyoko kept his last name.
Kyoko decided to drop all contact with her biological parents and even renounced her citizenship. Now a proud citizen of England, Kyoko spends her time with Viktor and the ally cats of York.

"
You'll do great things Kyoko. Marvelous and Fantastical things."
Kyoko was outside when the Owl appeared with an acceptance letter to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Victor suspected she'd receive something like this given her parents background. He expected a personal visit due to what she was but then again it was a school of magic, surly they'd know. Even without someone telling her she knew she had rules to follow. She'd under a watchful eye that much she understood but this time it felt different. There was warmth in the letter just like Viktor. Still she wasn't sure. She looked back toward Viktor who was dancing and giving her thumbs up. She felt embarrassed but that's what she loved about him.
She turned around and took the letter. "Ugh. Thank you."
