Needless to say, this wasn't going as planned at all. Yet again, Galton hit, while Alan dealt with the fo—wait, what? Oh. Oh. That's right; the Weather-modifying Countercharm did fully negate Nebulus, didn't it? If only her writer had checked both spells beforehand! At least Aida and her words were there to comfort her before she was knocked out cold. Well, not really, but it was the thought that counted, right?Action: Praying (x)

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1

Struck by the blow, Aida stumbled backwards and narrowly found her footing before she could fall. It hurt. It always hurt when this kind of thing happened, and it was funny how a mood could make it hurt more, or make her numb to it all. This time Aida wouldn’t let herself be numb, though. She had to fight for Phaedra. Whether or not Alexander would ever look her way again, Aida had to fight for someone. This was her way. She would make the pain her own and use it.

Action: Doing as strategized.

The scales finally seemed to be tilting, ever so slightly. But it could still be anyone's game, Willow was in agony trying to predict who would end up victorious, but the two teams were stubbornly standing strong for their houses. As they should.
Galton really was going after poor Phaedra. The girl didn't even have time to think about dodging before she was hit with another bout of the Wind Jinx, a spell that Galton seemed to favor. It seemed like she was learning to recover from it though, as the effects wouldn't last long, but she was looking worse for wear. Alan had his attention on Aida as he cast the Pressurized Water Charm at her. Now Aida was mildly soaked and hit with the jet of water. Maybe they should start wearing swimsuits to their duels if this was what it was going to be like.
Phaedra took preventative action, casting the minor healing charm on herself before she couldn't stand anymore. While she looked slightly better, it wasn't by much. Aida had her back though. She cast the most beautiful tickling charm aimed right at what might be their biggest threat right now, Galton. The boy stood no chance against her. Her accuracy was dead on. Galton would now feel like he was being tickled everywhere, the laughter causing him great damage over the course of the next three rounds.

The hands had found Galton. Those tiny, creepy, magic hands had found Galton this round and all he could do was laugh. Laugh and laugh and laugh as he was groped and caressed by a bunch of invisible perpetrators. He laughed through the pain as the hands ripped into his flesh. It was tiring to laugh so much; would he have any laughter left after this match? It was hard to imagine currently.
As the seconds ticked on he began to regain some compose. His non-stop cackling had died down, turning into random chuckles. Hopefully aiming wouldn’t be too hard with the occasional tiny tickle. Hopefully.
Action: Feeling tickled

Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw: Match 1
The fifth year was quite happy with the results of the round. He had actually managed to hit the Ravenclaw girl, Aida must have been her name, and managed to deliver some damage. Not just some, his spell looked like it had hurt a little and the water splashing against her face was a rather unkind thing, yet fun. It was like having a splash fight in a swimming pool or something, which brought him back to when he and the Scamander boys were part of a water fight a long while ago. If he remembered correctly Willow had been a part of it as well!
Those were good times, but now he had a duel to focus on. He hoped he might land many more hits and that both Galton and him were staying safe during this whole thing. They were all a bit older which meant there were a couple of rather nasty spells that could be in their repertoire.
Action: happy about hitting

The minor healing charm provided a temporary wave of relief, a chance to stay on her feet a bit longer. Or rather it would have, had Galton not hit her again with apparently the only spell he knew, bringing her back to square one and blinking shadows out of her peripherals. Phaedra rolled her eyes, getting honestly sick of the thing, but she couldn't blame him. It just meant that she kept falling for the same thing over, and over, and over... A lot of self-reflection would have to be done after this one, that was for certain.Action: As strategized (x)

Seeing Galton erupt in laughter, Aida smiled. Her perfect spell execution warmed her with satisfaction, and she hadn’t even had to burn or pummel the child. Maybe there was still a place for non-violence in the world. Turning to Phaedra, Aida then realized she wasn’t looking still looking very weathered. She thought of Ileen, then, and Aida wished she had such a gift for healing as did her knight friend.

Action: Doing as strategized.

Effects:
Willow was about to lose her gosh-darn mind with this duel.
Phaedra started it off strong casting just about the most beautiful Shield Charm Willow had ever seen. It was stable and powerful, unfortunately for the Gryffindors. Aida attempted to cast the Fire-Making Spell II at Galton just he was just barely able to dodge it.
Now, the Gryffindors had the unfortunate hive mind to both target Phaedra this round. Simultaneously with her shield coming up, Alan and Galton cast. Alan went for the tickling charm, but it sharply rebounded and hit him square in the center of his chest, making him burst out in laughter. Galton went in with his deadly spell spread with the dangerous wind jinx. Aida didn't even need to dodge because what was aimed for her split off, with one going towards Alan and the other towards Phaedra. Alan was able to seamlessly dodge the incoming wind. Phaedra's shield rebounded most of the damage back at Galton. She was also able to stand against the force of the wind that circled itself behind the shield, avoiding a messy stance the next round.
What a round. If Willow had to roll for this through dice or something, she would probably be flabberghasted out of her mind at the chances of all of this happening.

Not only was Phaedra holding on, but she was doing an amazing job at redirecting the aggression of the opposition. Aida felt a little inspired. What if magic users could use perfect shields more often, such that any aggressors would get back what they dished out? Wouldn't that be an important part of improving world peace? The white witch smiled at Phaedra in approval. She was cool.

Action: Doing as strategized.
