Too busy being distracted by Arjan's face, Lydia only briefly noticed that the boy had moved Aaron to the side as they were walking; she did see that her best friend seemed to be there with a girl, and Lydia made a mental note to ask him about it later; after all, she was there with Arjan now, and he looked too pretty in that moment for her to stop him mid-walking.

Hearing Arjan agreeing to her words about her dress made Lydia feel incredibly good, her self esteem growing even more. Smiling bright at him, she patted down her dress once more, almost without realising it. Looking up at Arjan, Lydia noticed him looking around, and she tired to see where he was looking, but being shorter than him made the task quite difficult. Was he looking for something? Or maybe someone? The idea of the latter wasn't that upsetting, after all she didn't have a crush on Arjan -not yet at least- but she did find him incredibly handsome, so she was interested in knowing him more. Curious to know what got his attention, she lightly squeezed his arm. "Is everything alright?" she asked, not wanting to sound too nosy, as the curiosity built up inside of her.

When the Durmstrang boy pointed towards the crops and the mud patches, Lydia glanced in that direction, even though she couldn't see a lot from where she was. She agreed with Arjan nodding, and if they weren't dressed so nicely, Lydia might have been tempted to explore some of those areas, but there was no way she was going there tonight. The idea of joining the ball sounded nice, and she almost agreed to it, but when Arjan mentioned the matchmaking booth, Lydia raised her eyebrow interested; it might have been a good chance to get to know him more, after all. "Ooh that sounds interesting, doesn't it?" she said, looking up at him through her eyelashes. "Why don't we go there? I think it might be nice! And who knows, we might find out something interesting," she suggested as she smiled at him.
Action: Suggesting they should move to the matchmaking booth;

Erin a hag? Granted the girl was a bit aloof, but a hag? Though, rumors had been circulating that changes were occurring in students. Erin could be one of them. The large student, Hugh according to Jürgen, was still standing between Erin and herself, feet glued to the ground and her date was approaching him, attempting to tie the boys legs together. Meanwhile, the student who disarmed Jürgen began to spread something around the group in a circle.

Conversations, if you could call them an actual discussion, continued between the three boys. There was too much to listen too. Too much to catch up on. Slugs. Get them out. Trust us. Overwhelming. That was the only way to describe this situation. If she knew what exactly was going on perhaps things would be different, but without knowing the context, slugs and danger meant only one thing. The girl did something truly odd and ate slugs that are now making her sick.

She had been prepared, hand on her wand hoping that she need not draw it, but the time had come. Erin was a valued member of the Slytherin Quidditch team. She might find the girls eccentricates rather frustrating at times during practices, but she was a good beater and an asset. Though there was no real reason for her to get involved, she felt a sense of protectiveness for any of her teammates. Hugh might be blocking the girl by standing between her and the rest of the students, but there was still parts of her visible. If she aimed correctly, she could reach the girl. Pointing her wand at Erin, she attempted to cast the only spell that made sense to her at the time. "Slugulus Eructo!" Whatever this nonsense was about killing the girl seemed unnecessary. If she was just sick from slugs, the logical thing to do was to get them out. Once this situation was sorted out, she could confront Jürgen about the accusations that he was attempting murder.

"Yeah," He responded absentmindedly to her question asking if he was alright. In his opinion, people always wanted to hear 'yes' when they asked that, not wanting the other person to break down and share what was actually upsetting them, if anything. By this point, it was almost a default response. Looking back at Lydia, finally putting his attention back onto her. He smirked as he noticed her gazing at him in the way that she did, "I thought I saw someone I knew but maybe I just imagined it," He responded casually with a shrug of his shoulders, dismissing it as he mentioned that he vaguely saw his sister without saying her name or their relationship.

Arjan cocked his head slightly as his date showed an interest in the matchmaking booth. The smirk played on his lips, "Oh?" He waved his hand, gesturing towards it, "Then that way we shall go," He replied confidently, already wondering what the booth actually was. If it was run by another student, perhaps he could intimidate the child into giving them a good match. If it was a professor, he might need to charm them or something... Either way, he was planning how to try and force a good match as he walked towards the matchmaking booth with Lydia.

Interacting: @Eun-ji Lee Hunt
Mentioning: Jack Warren and Dealla Prince
Aaron was captivated by Eun-ji talking about her run-in with the pumpkins earlier that month. When she said that she might've enjoyed it if not for the company, his curiosity was peaked and he wanted to ask who she'd been with, but in that same moment his eyes caught sight of someone who looked like Jack. His brown eyes turned away from Eun-ji to look at the boy more closely, but it turned out it wasn't him. Aaron placed his attention back on his Ravenclaw companion and nodded when she said something else was bound to happen again.

"You're right, there's always something interesting going on," Aaron agreed with a chuckle of his own. His eyes once again scanned the crowd, looking for a sign of Jack or Dealla but unable to locate either. After they spent several minutes peering into the passing crowd and trying to keep an eye out, Aaron was beginning to frown.

"I'm starting to think that maybe we missed them somehow," the Hufflepuff boy said, scratching the side of his head in a contemplative motion. "You think maybe they went to the Quidditch Pitch area? It's probably a bit less crowded right now, easier to find them if they are there... oh, and I heard the Frog Choir is performing, if you're interested?" Aaron was actually pretty interested in seeing the choir perform, because he'd never attended one of their performances before. Did the frogs themselves sing? Or did they just croak at certain moments? Even if Jack and Dealla weren't there, it would be cool to see the act.

When Eun-ji agreed with this plan, they walked side-by-side towards the Quidditch Pitch, where the ball portion of the event was taking place. Aaron had not been to the pitch since the first week of May, during his final Quidditch game on the Hufflepuff team. He'd been knocked out during that game, and found out the next day they had lost in the end. He hadn't been back since then, not even attending the Hogwarts games last weekend. And as they got closer, his mind also turned to how the Secret Blossom Ball had been hosted here. Unintentionally his expression became a bit serious as they walked, contemplating the last time he had been here for a dance.
TL;DR: unable to locate Jack and Dealla, Aaron theorizes maybe they went to the Fall Ball area, so he and Eun-ji head in that direction with the hopes of also seeing the Frog Choir perform

It looked like Aaron wanted to ask something before his eyes briefly turned away from her. Eun-ji was somewhat glad he got distracted. She was second guessing herself about mentioning Cassandra. If the boy asked, she would tell him, which would lead to more questions. On one hand, the Ravenclaw wondered if it would ease her mind a little, on the other however, she didn’t want him to see her ugly side. The boy thought she was kind and that would have been true in the past…still was she supposed but not to everyone. Certain type of people seemed to irk her to the point where she didn’t care about hurting their feelings. She used to think all people deserved at least some level of respect but her Mrs. Hunt quickly taught her otherwise.

"You're right, there's always something interesting going on." Eun-ji nodded with a smile, wondering what made Aaron lose his focus. Did he see someone familiar? Soon enough, the Hufflepuff confirmed her theory…well not exactly but close enough. “I see. Well I suppose it wouldn’t be that surprising in this crowd.” There also seemed to be some kind of commotion going on further away but the witch decided not to explore any of that. I hope it’s just some kids causing trouble. Such thing always tended to happen sooner or later during these events. “Oh there is? Let’s go see. I didn’t get the chance to hear them perform yet. It sounds lovely and it might have drawn Jack and Dee there as well. It’s worth giving a try.” She agreed with the plan. It looked like waiting here wouldn’t do them any good anyway.

Their walk towards the ball area was mostly quiet. Eun-ji concentrated on getting through the crowd unscattered and she assumed Aaron was simply doing the same. It wasn’t until they got away from the biggest mass of people and close to the ball area that she turned to look at him. She was pretty good at reading people and it was not too hard to see the boy was not exactly chipper at the moment. Once again, she wondered whether it had anything to do with the event being held at the very same place as the Secret blossom ball. She wouldn’t dare to ask that specific question though. She liked to offer help in a way one could refuse comfortably should they wish to do so. Being too straight forward didn’t give one much choice to avoid talking about things they didn’t want to talk about. At least not in a way that wouldn’t make a situation awkward afterwards. “Oppa, Gwenchana? Are you okay? She asked with a small reassuring smile. People were hardly paying them attention but she always appreciated privacy for a more serious conversations. Luckily for them, speaking a different language could provide one with such thing even in a place full of people.
*Note: In Korea "Oppa" is used when a woman is calling or talking to an older man whether he is related to her or not. It is somewhat affectionate/friendly term so not used among strangers.

It was rarely a stretch to say that Erin was confused. Confused by the wall of Hugh ass that blocked her sight, a human shield with an unfortunate perspective. A mixture of bewilderment and primal fear, something that might be hard for others to understand because Erin represented strength, ferocity, unmitigated rage and impulsiveness. Few wondered why she found creatures such as Hugh fearsome, why the seed was ever planted that she would fear the "massive-ones." Under any conditions besides those in Hogwarts, her fear and resentment would never have been allowed to flourish had it not been for the incompetence and the lies of varied prefects and the choices of Quinn Healy resulted in a proliferative growth to the seeds Lowe had planted in her diseased psyche.

There was shouting and nose, bright lights and it all sounded garbled to Erin, the part Veela's senses overloaded. She saw a wall of ass (sorry Hugh, I cant stop looking at it) and she did hear the word hag. Me- yes me... The girl was even looking the part at this point, the gnawing and the wiggling, the constant senseless chatter. Today was their birthday too. Through the glare, in spite of the haze, this festering aggression. Tyranni should not have made a moved against her, she might not have targeted her...

Erin would scramble possibly under or through Hugh's legs and rush Whitethorn. Galton would have a unique plan - encircle the girl who was attacking Tyranni in slug repellant. Perhaps it worked like salt and foul spirits.

The contrast between the pitch and grounds, was stark. While one location provided a foreboding sense of calm, the other danced with autumnal colors, flaunting a feeling of impish chaos- of the wildly cozy sort. The grounds contained far more occupants, than the tent covering the pitch. It could be understood as to why this was the case. People had a preference for the bright and spriteful. A common preference for beings that were not nocturnal. Darkness scared them. They were afraid of what they could not see, and perhaps- perhaps that primal fear played part in the events that were taking place on this night, in this very moment. Xailah had parted from the pitch quickly, wasting no time with goodbyes. She shared her location with one person, and that one person was her best friend- the boy who's side she thought she would never leave (yet, her "in the moment" curiosity, seemed to have other plans)- and there was a slight chance he might not have heard her. She moved swiftly across the festival space; mind buzzing; skirt hitched in one clawed hand; bootheels crushing anything that came in contact beneath them.

Xailah's feline peepers flicked about wildly. The golds swam in alert melancholy; you should have stayed with Pericles; while they tried their best to hold their keyhole pupils in place. The little slivers of onyx glass grew; flexing, and shrinking; in rhythm with steadying breaths. She had lost Miss Martin. Now, you may be wondering, how do you lose a five foot tall girl, in a blush ball gown? Well, the answer is simple. Santario had never been the target, or cause of interest to leave the pitch. Santario's cry, and the reason behind it, had. But with Santario out of sight, Xailah didn't know where to look. So she scoped out the closest (possible) source of upset- which just so happened to involve five familiar faces, three of which were known to be trouble (through personal experience). She couldn't get to them, she could get close, but not close enough to act, not close enough to prevent. She shoved past a few rubberneckers, slipping through them like and eel in water. She would have to watch the chaos unfold for a few minutes, before she could get involved. If only these people would move.

As Galton pulled the familiar-looking can out of his robes, she exhaled audibly,"I guess we're doing this here..." She muttered to herself, before looking at the boy she did not know and his date. She wanted to say something to them but what more could she really say? If they were intending on hurting Erin, they would be stopped. Serena had no idea what she was about to do but she refused to allow anyone to hurt her. They had to try. She would not allow a kid to murder another, it was that simple. Even if Erin were to turn into a hag, did that really mean that she should be killed? No.

She was not an idiot but perhaps she was rather naive. Nonetheless, she had made a decision. Being a hag was not inherently wrong. The fact that the hags were harming students, trying to eat them or turn them into one of them was the issue. Hags that did that deserved punishment. But Erin had not done anything, she was free of all crimes (as far as Serena was aware anyway). There was a system in place for those who committed crimes and right now, the biggest crime being committed here was an attempt to take someone else's life.

Following suit, she had pulled out a can from her satchel. She would attempt to circle in the opposite direction to Galton, creating a smaller one. It would not be a perfect circle by any means but she would attempt to keep her ring slightly smaller than his. Two rings were better than one. If a slug somehow managed to bypass and escape the first one, perhaps the other would stop them - or at least hold them back. Biting back her lip, she said nothing to them. Just hoping they'd understand or be reasonable for all of five seconds.

She looked over to Erin, who really was her main concern and priority, "Looks like we're doing this right here, right now. Just... stay still, okay? These rings we're making is to protect everyone. We'll get you out of the ring too," It was the closest thing to a promise, without the word. They could not leave Erin alone in the ring with a ton of slugs. She did not know if they would succeed but they were risking everything to find out.

With the can in her left hand, she gripped her wand in her right - still waiting to see if she needed to use it. If Erin did not trust her and planned on running or Hess tried to do something, it might come in handy. She looked down at the pocket of her top for a moment. Pizza Rat was snuggled up in the upper pocket, underneath the jumper. She was not sure bringing him was the best idea but she had read that rats ate slugs. Well, at least the black rat did. It gave her an idea though, one day when she was outside pondering over what to do about everything and trying to process the mass amount of information she had been given by Hugh. And that idea was to train Pizza a little to bite and attack. Of course, she did not really have slugs to practice on - nor did she want to harm innocent slugs. However, she trained him to the best of her ability. It was a small hope but if he could bite a few of the slugs then there would be slightly less for them to deal with. Though, she partially wondered if the slugs would be made of the darkness like everything else she had seen. Just a swarm of darkness in the forms of thousands of slugs seeping out of someone... that sounded horrific. Either way, all she had to do was follow the plan. Make the containment rings.

As she looked up, she noticed everyone moving around, doing stuff that was not part of the plan. Shiiiiiiii- Her eyes widened.

The good, the bad and the strange... The daughter, mother and crone... Darkness, light and a shade of grey... It was always three, a number of completion, a number intended to show a span. A magical law of price, of exchange. A compulsion, like a tick.

Thomas would backpedal away from what would have been a passionate exchange. ”I hope I have your attention now.”

"Darling, I doubt you were that attention starved," girls hanging off of him. An utter lack of self-respect. One hanging off him in a literal sense, did she jump in harm,'s way whenever someone out of Tom's league attempts to exchange saliva? It made as much sense as the lass that just shot at her with a wild and reckless cast that should have earned her the ire of the ballgoers and organizers. Only Victor responded -- her idiot hero to the end. At least he was competent, even dead.

”My apologies, Fal. This one picked tonight to express some deep seated feelings.”

"Please," Marion rolled her eyes. "What we have is entirely physical." His failure to call her by name something that would not effect her, she needed to value his opinion for his regard to have any grounds. "Keep your filthy feeling to yourself," she eyed Falenta "or leave them with her."

”Pretty sure I’m gay now,” and poor Falenta the teen's beard.

"I am sure I can facilitate," call his bluff. She had a whole lot worse than love or lust intended for the apparent Slytherin dreamboat.

”Watch him, would you?”

Thomas was referring to Victor and no protest would be uttered from Marion. The boy was about to outlive... no, that was the wrong term. He was absolutely terrible at staying alive. Well, he was not going to be useful much longer.

She would engage the boy in this sort of waltz. She would take a few steps forward, he would take a few steps back. "Hold my hand if you want to dance," the blonde was not even a little shy any longer. A confidence that Thomas had caught a brief glimpse at before if he was paying attention. Yes, the girl was playing a role, anm actress and this school her ultimate stage.

Her eyes would flick down towards his wand that was pointed at her heart, tracing his gaze. "Eyes up here hun, remember you're gay." If he could not remember his lines, she would feed them to him.

”I jumped the…wand.” Thomas was not doing a great job proving Marion to be the issue. Nor were his overdramatic, hasty friends. Slinging spells because -- a girl friend to kiss him. It is not like Marin was sonme smelly, unkept troll of a girl, unlike Erin Ryan who had gotten herself into some mess. Marion had no intention of helping her, wrong coven... not her problem but their concern for the girl's welfare was noble. If she needed an escape, it would be that girl's remains that blocked the path of pursuit.

"Meanest rejection ever," she complained.

”You’ve been making friends.” She had not been making any friends actually. He failed to understand the true nature of a coven. That the other coven is not her concern. if anything it was her enemy. Their gains -- Santario Martin, Percival Gray and whomever they dragged in with them were a part of the other coven and if anything they were enemies of hers. She was hard at work with other matters, her opportunity and power intended to come from something besides the bloodied and the macabre. Unlike these brutes, she had a plan.

She attempts to pluck a lock of Thomas' hair.
"No worries to be made with threads so bare, I shall craft new beauties with this fine fresh hair."

If she takes a lock of Thomas's hair. The rest of Thomas' hair will fall out over the next few hours, in clumps if he were to run his hair through it. Thomas would become BALD. Over time, the hag uses the hair to create Doppelgangers of the Character (Thomas). These Doppelgangers cause trouble and create a bad reputation for the Character. They also serve as defenders for the Hag if need be.

How was it that Marion was always in need of saving. What was that monster Thomas LeStrange doing to that poor, innocent girl? He was well aware that there was nothing, nor would there ever be anything between them. They were friends, she was a good person and she needed his help. Yes, he was that dense and dumb but Marion had earned his trust and support over the course of years. They had shared a tragic occurrence that forever bound them in his mind and in spite of the passage of years and the dulling of any passions that there might have once been, they were still very good friends. They supported one another. They were more than an idle use of time, they were tragic and important.

Thomas still had his wand pointed at her, he looked over at his now worst date ever... his previous date had set him on fire but at least there was a small part of him that believed that she just had no regard for him, not that it was on purpose. He could not say the same of Bridget. His face would drop when he saw Ileen Knight, real nice girl, the sort he hoped to never see again rush towards the heart of the fray. This was where one of two things would happen -- she would either turn on him like everyone else in the school less Marion and Vladimir or she would get hurt picking the "wrong side."

"Please just walk away," his voiced wavered but he was begging. the corners of his mouth would tug downwards. "This girl," Bridget "just attacked Mary and that guy" Thomas "has his wand pointed at her." Not that Marion was looking particularly scared, she normally broke down crying at this point. Whatever Thomas did to her, she seemed too angry to be scared or upset. Damn idiot must have dumped her. He had another girl at his side, Mary was going to have a long sad night he mused.

"I really don't want a nice girl like you" Ileen, definitely not Bridget "tussling with us," he muttered but his words were clear enough. His wand was aiming for Ami, the girl that decided to play spider monkey with LeStrange's neck. yes, LeStrange, even the last name was evil. The hell did Mary see in bad boys like him. Sure, he was probably bad at everything, but he as also a complete asshole. He was probably doing the girl hanging off of him a favor as he pointed her wand in the girl's direction and with a flick of his wrist he would announce the incantation intended to keep Ami P. out of trouble. "Tara--."

He was going to do it, but then he heard Ilene cast Finite Incantatem on Bridget. A mistake. This evening sucked! Frustrated, he would turn on Ilene.

He would actually catch Ilene before she fell, if Bridget was standing he would let that girl just fall.
