Fall Spectators

A crisp fall day on the Quiddith Pitch, the air was moist and cool and there was a strong eastward wind that was blowing the remaining leaves off the trees. The foliage was aflame with color, vibrants yellows, oranges and shades of crimson. Many of the branches had already gone bare but from above the landscape with spotted with fall's brilliance still. The grass appearing rather full, lush even, a bright emerald that would fade as winter takes the lands with its icy grip. There was a slight drizzle, enough to make the world wet and mildly unpleasant. The sun was getting low in the sky, it was getting dark earlier these days. The previous game between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff had just completed hours earlier and the weather refused to hold out until the end of the day. There was a bitterness to the chilly air.
It was not going to be getting any warmer today, light jackets, shawls, umbrellas and warm drinks were a common sight this evening as the spectators celebrated both fall for its wonder and glory as well as a game of quidditch between two rival houses: Slytherin v Ravenclaw. Last year neither of these houses took home the cup, but this was a new year and a new opportunity to take home the victory and maintain the tradition of defeating the other wizarding schools over the summer months.Date: October 24
Time: 7PM
Weather: Partly cloudy with an east wind. Drizzling Rain. Temperature 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit).

The roar of applause from all sides of the pitch on those massive stands would be deafening as the Quidditch players would start to trickle from their respective locker rooms and onto the field. Both houses had an impressive line up this year.
This is a spectators thread for the Quidditch Game. 200 words is still the requirement for all threads. Please remember that you are not able to interface with the players on the pitch from a spectator thread.

Willow had not been seen at a Quidditch game since the beginning of her second year. Ever since she quit the sport had held a sore spot in her heart, so much so that she couldn't bring herself to attend any of the games. Not only that but, she had been busy with many other things during her second year that she found herself attempting to juggle too much. Quidditch just didn't fit into her schedule. But of course, there was one person she would always make time for and that was her brother. As well as the vast amount of friends that she somehow ended up having on both Quidditch teams. Who knew?☁ Open to 1 Interaction ☁
She arrived with a warm mug of tea in her hands to protect her against the cold, as well as a see through rain coat so her friends could hopefully see her shirt. In addition to cute rainbow rain boots and a pair of black jeans she had a plain white tee. Except, it wasn't that plain. On the top she had painted "DO YOUR BEST!" with her friends names written in green or blue depending on their house. This included; Flash, Syl, Winnie, and Alexx (who wasn't her friend per say but her newspaper boss so it felt appropriate).
Willow scooted along the bleachers to find a good vantage point. "Excuse me, sorry... Just gonna- Scoot on by. Oop! Sorry." Secret pom poms she made out some ribbon were stuffed into her pockets. One for each house depending on who scored at any given time. Happily she plopped down, content with her seat and for the upcoming game. She was prepared to not have a voice tomorrow while screaming for her friends.

Phaedra normally never went out of her way for Quidditch, but she had a duty to be here today. Not only was this the first match of the year, but it was her house and house peers. Despite finding the sport barbaric in every caliber, its lack of subtlety was rather entertaining in a tribal sort of sense, she supposed. If not that, then at least the popcorn warmed the pits of her stomach against the frigid autumn air.
She didn't come alone. With more action to capture, the accompanying camera was a mammoth. It sat mounted on four legs, nearly the size of her own torso, with a lens so powerful it put the handhelds to shame. Like all wizarding cameras, this was magically powered, with the extra caution of rain repellent charms; the film wasn't exactly cheap. If it wasn't for the Headliner team setting up early, it would have been a challenge to navigate such a device through the crowds. But the end result was always worth it.
After tugging her knit beanie over reddening ears, Phaedra took the camera's handles to situate its view directly at the pitch's center. The starting chasers would soon find their way there, and a quaffle toss front page of the newspaper always drew in good attention. She had an eye for detail, and even if it meant she'd have to stand at the front of the bleachers and man a camera the entire game, Phaedra was determined to snap quality pictures of the athletes. Smiling, scoring, bleeding...it was all fair game. Game on!

Juniper clapped her hands excitedly. Every inch in her body tingled with anticipation, and her joy displayed on her face. It was Ravenclaw's first quidditch match of the year, and they were against Slytherin. She was relieved because had Ravenclaw been playing Hufflepuff, she would of been torn. She believes greatly that Ravenclaw has what it takes to win this game.
She walked outside with a rain hat on her head to protect her hair from frizzing up in the drizzling rain.

Her outfit was simple, but she hoped it gave enough Ravenclaw spirit. If not, she could always use her voice.

Finally, she carried with her an umbrella in case it started to pour.

The umbrella was not open, so she could navigate the stands without hitting people with it. She looked at the field as she walked on the stands, finding a good place to sit. She had a good pick because not many people were here yet. She tried sitting at the front, but she wanted a better view.
She spotted a girl @Willow Anderson, and walked over. "hi, hi! I'm Juniper." She pointed to a seat next to the girl. "Is anyone sitting here?" She asked.

Willow was mid sip of tea when someone spoke to her. She made a surprised, "Mm!" as she nodded for the younger girl to join her. She still looked alive and full of hope, so surely she was a first year. Willow was aged and stressed, constantly. Being thirteen was really starting to get to her. But a Quidditch time was a time of merriment! And... probably more stress. The fear of falling to her death was always at the back of her mind when she was a Quidditch player. With two of her best friends on the field, it was at the forefront of her mind.☁ Closed to Interactions ☁
But now was not the time for thoughts like that. She quickly nodded and patted the seat next to her as an invitation as she swallowed her still piping hot tea. "Nice to meet you Juniper! Are you a Ravenclaw?" Willow's outfit was... certainly less revealing about what house she was in. But maybe the fact that she was cheering for multiple people on both teams would reveal her Hufflepuff brand. "I'm Willow, a 3rd year Hufflepuff." She pulled the Ravenclaw pom-poms out of her pocket. "Do you want to man the Ravenclaw pom-poms and I'll man the Slytherin ones? I made them this morning." Willow was a craft queen. In her dorm she could usually be found doing some kind of craft or friendship bracelet.

Juniper couldn't help but let her eyes linger upon the shiny outfit and boots the girl before her wore, and she wondered what house the girl would be supporting. Not that it mattered, but Juniper assumed people would make it more obvious. She smiled when the girl said that Juniper could sit there.
Despite the fact that Juniper could of sat anywhere, she wanted to sit with someone she's never met before. This was because she was very social. In fact, she seemed to gain energy from others' presence, being alone only seemed to deflate her. Juniper set her closed umbrella against the seats, making sure it didn't fall before allowing herself to sit down and get comfy. Quidditch games either were really quick, or really long. Personally, she was hoping it would be long. When it was quick, there was less... everything.
She nodded, tugging at the end of her blue shirt. "Yup! I am!" She said, beaming. "What about you? What house are you in?" She asked.
"I'm Willow, a 3rd year Hufflepuff." The girl introduced herself to Juniper.
Juniper raised her eyebrows. A third year? Wow, this girl has been here for a while, then. "That's cool!" She said, eagerly. Juniper was only in her first year, yet she has already had her mind blown. She wondered what amazing things this girl has come across in her three years of being here. In fact, she assumed Hogwarts was a wonderous place. She wondered if the girl has ever seen a unicorn.
She watched the girl take something out.
Do you want to man the Ravenclaw pom-poms and I'll man the Slytherin ones? I made them this morning."
Juniper looked at the pom-poms, very impressed. "You made these? wow!" She accepted the ravenclaw pom-poms, in awe of the girl's creativity. Juniper enjoyed crafts, but never like this.
This looked like it took a long time to do, and let's be honest here. Juniper didn't have that kind of patience. "So I'm guessing you're rooting for both teams?" She asked.

It seemed they had lucked out. Earlier that afternoon, at the time of her own match, Evelynn had mentally bemoaned the frigid winds that howled and railed against her at the high altitudes of her flight. There was a bite upon the breeze that promised the coming of winter and it tore at every nook and gap in her garb, sending shivers down the length of her spine despite the sweat their game had worked up. Fingers had been mostly protected in the warm confines of leather gloves, but even they had stiffened after a short while, defiant to grasp quite as she demanded. But at least it hadn't been raining. The same could not be said now. Evidently, the outcome of that earlier match had been enough to make the angels weep. Unable to hold back until nightfall, their tears fell from the heavens to coat those poor souls who made their way back to the pitch for a second time that day, the Gryffindor quidditch co-captain among them.
Still sore from her match, and against general advice, she had insisted on making an appearance. Expert tonics and poultices had done their trick—well enough at least—and she had freshened up with a quick shower and a change of clothes. Ready for the weather and the dip of temperature that would accompany the setting of the sun, she had donned a modest forest green woollen dress, long of sleeve and skirt. To complete the simple ensemble, leather ankle boots, and black knitted gloves and matching beret. Polished to their regular sheen, her prefect and co-captain badges had been pinned to her lapel with care. Over a shoulder, she carried her brown leather book-bag containing the journal in which she would soon be taking notes over the course of the game. One hand rested over its covering flap, passively protecting against sticky fingers. In the other, she held her wand aloft, the shimmering form of a translucent umbrella protruding at its tip.
Filing into the stands with the rest, Evelynn kept her eyes peeled for a good seat. She would need one. This game was particularly important. First of the season, it would be a prime opportunity to scope out the competition. Both teams had endured a number of changes to their rosters, such as Slytherin's addition of the young Mister Chen whose skill with the wand she had observed first-hand the month prior; and Ravenclaw's acquisition of the spirited Miss Harper who had become something of an enigmatic curiosity to Evelynn. And those veteran players that had persisted had no doubt expanded their skillsets.
Plus, there were a number of familiar faces—split between both teams—that Evelynn hoped to be able to support, however quietly from the stands. Among them: Moussa (whose coin she had finally returned in the week preceding the match), and Flash (whose skill as a seeker she still had not yet been able to witness). No doubt, this would prove to be a difficult game to watch. While she firmly believed the eagles were due for a comeuppance, their last few seasons having seen them through a series of unfortunate circumstances and underperformances; the greater part of her loyalty lay with members of the House of serpents.
"Good evening, Miss Stavrou," Evelynn called out, a demure smile upon her lips as she greeted her upperclassman.
Her assessment of the stands had brought her to a familiar figure in the midst of setting up a rather impressive looking camera in the front row. Apparently Martins wasn't the only photographer among the students. She really shouldn't have been surprised, though. The Headliner had to get its content photos from somewhere; though, admittedly, it had never occurred to her that the secretary herself was the one taking them. Her hand—and conjured umbrella—extended out towards the senior on approach, noting that while the camera seemed to shed water as easily as oil, the same could not be said for its user.
"Would it be alright if I joined you?"

Mathias Pride was not here quite alone, the avid quidditch fan had been looking forward to the sporting event of the season, at least in his opinion. House Slytherin against @Winnie Harper House Ravenclaw. There was a bit of a chill in the air, he was bundled up in a rust and mustard plaid button down and a pair of bluejeans. A more comfortable, sort of lumberjack muggle aesthetic or at least that was what the fashion magazine he read claimed. yes, ever the height of fashion.
He was there to cheer on his house. Well, either his house or his girlfriend. It really depended who was looking at the given moment. He would find a place near the rail, his hands would clasp the cool metal and he would lean forward. "Go Team!" Whichever team really. He had a two sided sign for that very purpose. Go Birds WINNIE on one side and SNAKES RULE on the other.
He was not entirely certain which wrath he feared more -- that of his irate peers or that of the pterodactyl. Admittedly he expected strawberries and kittens, which for the most part he was getting but there were glimpses of something else underneath it all. He was not entirely certain what it was, but in his foolish juvenile sense he found it attractive. How she summoned the power of at least three irate Karens when she needed to collective bitchy strength of womanhood to ream someone out. Thus far he had avoided her wrath, so it was rather attractive. If he had an ounce of sense he would see this red flag and run.
He did not, he saw a relatively pretty girl that was willing to dote on him. Who satisfied his every want and need as well as his familial requirements for the time being. Of course seeing her enter the pitch, he felt something different. Dayum, she was pretty in all that body armor. He did not quite understand the sensation he felt, but he felt something and he looked to either side to see if anyone else donned the same gaze. No, not near enough for him to notice in any case.
Temporarily dumbfounded, when she blew him a kiss he would fumble with his sign before he rose it half way and remembered to turn it around. Yes, RavenWinnie, the is a Ravenclaw.

Dressed in his casual clothing, Hadashi took a seat to watch a Quidditch game. He'd seen the extreme training methods that quidditch players back in Mahoutokoro went through, and he was interested to see how Hogwarts played.Roleplaying as Hadashi Hitoshi from Mahoutokoro

He analyzed all the team members of both teams... The Chasers seemed lithe and graceful, the beaters strong and intimidating, and the seekers were-
Wait. Was the Slytherin seeker barefooted?!
Hadashi wasn't the biggest fan of shoes himself, but... why- how- what?! Was he not bothered by the cold or the rain?
This soon became a less important thing to focus on, as he seemed to find the snitch immediately. And he dodged a bludger aimed at him, but when he couldnt dodge the other one, he performed a defensive maneuver...
The chaser on Slytherin was able to score two goals as well, outmaneuvering the Ravenclaw Keeper with apparent ease.
But, a blatch attempt and a bludger from Ravenclaw found their marks as well. Both sides seemed highly skilled.
"Sugoi..."
These Hogwartsians were quite talented as well. Though Hadashi did not know how... they were not by the sea, so they could not train as extremely as Mahoutokoro... He would have to ask about their training regimen later.
He would then look at the one beside him. A girl, it seemed.
"Surizarin no tankyū-sha wa tsuneni hadashidesu ka?"
He blinked as he remembered he wasn't in Japan anymore.
"Ah- Sumima-"
He paused again, a bit irritated with himself.
"I apologize. I meant to say, Are Surizaren (Slytherin) seekers always barefoot?"
He grimaced internally at his pronunciation of Slytherin. Those sounds were difficult for his culture to make sound like they were obviously supposed to in other tongues.

Henry Knight isn't a quidditch fan. The third year doesn't enjoy playing the sport and doesn't understand why it's such a popular sport in the wizarding world. The teen also really isn't that good at the sport which he doesn't mind since he's a duelist for the Viridian Vipers.
However, Henry made a promise to attend the games that year because two people he cared about are on the slytherin team now. Cash who is his best mate and fellow third year, Henry have been meaning to watch the beater play and cheer them on but usually gets distracted in the library... and now Avery who is Henry's bunk mate that year which became a rather close friend and the third even looks at the first year as a brother.
Henry didn't want to attend alone so he asked Rose to go with him and also help hold a banner that he made for his friends. On the way to the pitch, the teen informed the girl about the events that happened in the slytherin common room and the dungeons on the first day back including the part when Dan Palmer hexed him.
Loki sat on Henry's right shoulder as he climbed the stairs to the pitch then found two seats in the stands for his stepsister and himself. Henry unrolled the banner and gave half to Rose, holding half himself as he held it over the railing and underneath his head so Cash and Avery could see it.
The banner has a large snake drawn in the center with two named on either side, on the left in bubble letters is Avery's and on the right in large cursive is Cash. Underneath has the following words written in a bright green; Get The Quidditch Cup For Slytherin This Year!
The teen smiled softly at Rose as he turned his blue eyes at the game and watched, there wasn't much action as he saw Dan get hit by a bludger a part of him felt like it was payback on the boy and another part of him felt bad for the boy.
Henry held the banner in his hands as he looked around at the field and then shouted"You can do better than that Cash! Go Cash!" the teen spotted Cash before moving his eyes to Avery who is benched, the third year let out a small breath of relief that his first year friend wouldn't be hit with a bludger yet that is since the game was still going on.
