"Um, you know, just... stuff." He had heard her say, causing him to smile, and at this point he had a perpetual smile plastered on his face. "I guess I was just thinking about how cool it would be to have a bunch of friends! Being popular and super smart! Just to fit in and be cool. It's dumb I know. But, why would I need a bunch of friends...when I have you?" Almost as if someone was directing the young boy, and showing him his queues. Quinn's face quickly lit up his whole face turning an unprecedented shade of Christmas red.

"O-Oh....u-um that's...huh?" Even though he clearly heard her say that last bit, his mind still could not process what she was basically admitting. Does she like me? I mean she wouldn't say that if she didn't right? Is someone supposed to like another person this quickly? For nearly a minute with his face bright red, he stayed silent his head swimming with more and more questions.

The vast number of questions began to cause his head to hurt and was making him dizzy. He felt like he would pass out. This is so not like me, why am I acting this way say something Quinn. Imagine what your Daideo would do in this situation and act! His mind practically screamed at his do something. "T...That's sweet, you are too kind but I'm not that great!" He managed to say.

Though in all honesty he felt as though he would faint from both embarrassment at shock. No one had ever said that about him before, but he couldn't deny that her words for some reason made him inextricably happy. For the next few minutes he fumbled with his words his irish accent growing thick as he reverted to Dublin slang unsure of what else he could say.

Zella felt really stupid for what she said. I wasn't thinking and it came out wrong! Wait, did I just...in a way... drop a hint that I liked him? It's so soon. We just met. I like him, as a friend! Should I clarify? He probably doesn't even like me that way. What do I do? She began questioning herself.

She noticed Quinn's bright red face and felt even more embarrassed. "O-Oh....u-um that's...huh?" Zella realized what she said and got scared this was taking a bad turn. She meant this all as a compliment towards the boy and now she's messing everything up. UGH, Zella this is why you don't have friends! Ever thought about that?

"T...That's sweet, you are too kind but I'm not that great!" Zella's heart began to beat really fast and grew light-headed. What do I say? Of course he's great! He is amazing. Why is he talking to me? I'm not at all special. Zella looked at him and tried to hopefully patch up her mistake. "I think you're wonderful Quinn, I didn't mean to uh- say that in such a 'romantic' way. What I'm trying to say is. I really think we are going to be great friends! Sorry I know it came out wrong but you truly are amazing Quinn." Zella didn't mean to rush everything and almost scare the boy off. I don't know if he is red because I just embarrassed him or if he likes me at al-. No, who would like me? I'm obviously way to complicated. She blinked really fast not knowing to say. Zella was hoping she wasn't ruining his day.

"Guys... I have tea to spill."

"O-Oh okay..." He hoped she didn't notice the slight tinge of sadness in his voice. Of course she wouldn't think of me in that way. I'm weird, a blabber mouth, too curious for my own good, awkward at times, and again WEIRD! He thought to himself sighing exasperated. "Y-Yeah I'll know we'll be great friends." He twirled his curly fiery red hair nervously without realizing it at first.

Quickly Quinn did his best to put up his happy facade hoping you didn't know the sadness in his voice or slight pause in between his responses. "Well let's see your homework then perhaps I can tell you where you went wrong or even tutor you perhaps?" He suggested smiling and chuckling. "After all everyone needs help every now and then plus afterwards we can walk around the grounds more."

Quinn did his best to ignore what she said earlier. Of course he knew she didn't mean anything mean by it. They only met like 10 minutes ago, they're total strangers basically. But still he couldn't deny how pretty she was, but that would be weird if he said that out loud. I mean yeah she's very pretty, fun to be around and I know we'll be great friends. I mean who wouldn't like someone as unique, and kind as her, I mean I know we only just met, but that is the truth. Unbeknownst to Quinn he had accidentally said what he was thinking out loud enough for anyone close enough to hear.

Apparently he seemed totally unaware of this as he continued his train of thoughts looking straight at Zella.

Did I ruin things? Zella's thoughts were starting to swirl in head and cause chaos. He doesn't like you! You just met! "O-Oh okay..." Oh no. He doesn't seem so happy I said that. Friends. Why wouldn't someone want to be your friend? Maybe if your annoying and obnoxious thats why. Or if they'd rather be... more than friends? UGH I don't know what I'm feeling.

It's like, when I see his smile it can make all the sad thoughts fade. His laugh can cure any bad day. I-I...
"Y-Yeah I'll know we'll be great friends." knew it. But, I did turn what I said into something I didn't really mean. It's my fault.

Zella got so lost in thought wondering what to do. She heard Quinn say something about homework but it slipped by her head. "H-Huh! Y-yeah I love homework!" She looked down, starring at her shiny  heels that made her slightly taller. "The grounds are pretty cool!" His words slid past her again. She couldn't contain herself. His red curly hair, his blue green eyes, his adorable personality. Zella began to blush as this went through her mind. As she continued to think this, she caught what Quinn said that made her skeptical thoughts disappear.

"I mean yeah she's very pretty, fun to be around and I know we'll be great friends. I mean who wouldn't like someone as unique, and kind as her, I mean I know we only just met, but that is the truth." ... ... ... Pretty? Fun? Kind?  I-I. Zella took a deep breath and confronted her emotions. "Quinn, I have something I should confess, actually. It's really sudden I know, but have you ever just... I don't know. Met someone and feel like you connected to them in a matter of seconds? I-I like you, Quinn. I'm sorry, I'm not sure what I'm feeling if I'm being honest. But I know I feel... pleasant around you." Zella brushed her hair behind her ear and smiled bigger, so big her dimples started to appear. My heart skipped a beat... I felt butterflies... My mind finally felt clear after saying that.

"Guys... I have tea to spill."

Quinn hadn't realized it until Zella had said something that everything he thought. He actually said out loud for her to hear, and just when he thought he couldn't get any redder she proved him wrong again. "O-O-Oh!" For the first time in a long time Quinn was actually speechless. He wasn't familiar with love at least not the romantic kind. Sure familial love and love of his friends, but this was the first time he ever really felt this specific way about a person.

Yeah they only just met, and yeah they were both really young, but he was always reminded by his Maimeo. "Always trust your heart, it seldom leads you astray." He could practically hear her in his head repeating that to him. He really missed her right now, but that inner voice was right. I'm thinking way too much about this right now, I should just do what comes naturally and don't question this feeling...never EVER thought I'd he-...well think those words in my life.

Still unable to think of really anything clever to say, or anything to say at all. Quinn stepped forward still red as could be. Outstretching his lanky arms the freckled boy wrapped them around you in a tight embrace for what felt like forever. Eventually Quinn broke the hug blushing a little less now. He wasn't sure in all honesty if the hug was the right thing to do, but it at least felt right. "I feel the same way even though we just met, but I feel warm and fuzzy on the inside when I'm around you. I feel well pleasant I know that may sound weird but it's the truth." There he goes blabbing his feelings again, this was a little out of character for Quinn, but then again so was this whole situation.

He wasn't sure what else to do, so he smiled and outstretched his hand. "Now then, Quinn Healy a pleasure to meet you again Zella. Glad to be 'friends'." He winked chuckling knowing it was silly to introduce himself like this again. However, he felt he needed a redo of the last few minutes and this fit. After all the Healy's are nothing if not modest...and sometimes mischievous.
