Alec was embarrassed fumbling to get up and out of the situation all-together, he certainly wasn't going to stay after he'd just shoved someone. He was really asking to find himself getting into trouble in that was the case. Someone going off and shouting for a professor, the slightly sniffly third-year did an eye-roll inwardly at that one. However what he was most concerned about may have been if this kid was going to fight back. Alec didn't know him at all. Who was to say that wouldn't be the case? Take Snake-boy for instance.

Snake-boy for such a scrawny looking child had quite the amounts of strength. If not strength than those strengths that just appear a moment. Like when people are in danger and you need to lift heavy objects to save them, except your hurting them instead. Alec involuntarily winced as the memory played back. Alec even now hadn't understood he'd been triggered by words in the first place. If that kid had called him any other stupid name at that time Alec wouldn't have shoved. Alec had wished he'd had a lot more self-control in that situation. The main reason being it was very hard start too any relationship. The first person he'd ever actively freaked out on. The instances of freaking out on people happened more often now... Just since he'd come back from his grandparents home.

The count may have only been a few times, but seeing as Wyatt was the only person he'd really had troubles with before that point. It had increased by a whole boat load perspective-wise. Alec wasn't given the time to reflect upon it, but even if he ever had been the end result likely wouldn't have ever been helpful.

Alec was wandering in the dark at this point, sniffling like a small child as he used his hoodie to wipe away the tears that tried to come from his eyes. After such since he was cold he wrapped his arms around himself in a hugging sort of way. He did his best not the trip over the roots of plants as he walked, he didn't need to fall again. His knee already stung enough. Alec had been too invested in his own mind to hear anyone else behind him until this point. Once Alec had he froze for a second in thoughts of who it may be before walking faster. It didn't matter who it was. He wasn't talking to them. Alec sniffles became more apparent at that point, and he hated it. This wasn't helping Alec to get whoever it was to leave. Fine. “Go away.” Alec's word were drenched in emotions clear through his tone. It was the go away someone says and you know you really shouldn't leave.

Alec turned, his facial expression which was masking him trying to cry looked annoyed at first. The expression drastically changed when he realized it was the kid he shoved than tripped over. The fact that Alec was hurt by him in an odd way flashed in Alec's eyes, however the more apparent changes were the eyebrow furrowing and the large scowl. “If you don't leave me alone, I'll... I'll-” Alec looked uncertain. He couldn't come up with something. Uh... “I'll punch you!” Alec said, he looked at felix with fake certainty and confidence. “Yeah, I'll punch and it'll hurt really badly.” Alec added, he didn't fight people. He just figured a threat would work. Shoving was nothing compared to punching someone. Alec's words were unknowingly very cringe worthy.

Felix had really messed up this time. He had been a bit too aggressive and careless with his actions and caused some kid to explode at him. Usually, when he kissed others, he expected to be pushed or yelled at, but not during a game where the main objective was to kiss whomever the bottle landed on. He would have just offered the brunette a kiss on the cheek, but he had seen him kissing others and had just assumed... Was it him he didn’t want to kiss? Had he known the other people? In his panic to swallow the confusing feelings that were arising for his new American friend, he had struck quickly and Alec had been caught in the crossfire.

It was for this reason and the fact that the boy still hadn’t answered his questions that Felix followed him out of the game area. It was probably not the best idea to pursue a person who had just attacked you, but Felix was pissed off and wanted answers. There was also no way in hell he was staying to spin the bottle after that either. His night of what should have been mindless kissing was over. Felix was on the defensive as he approached the boy like a cornered cat. The hair on the back of his neck stood up and goosebumps tugged at his pale skin. He was just about to open his mouth and yell at the boy again when he noticed something.

Sniffling.

He was... crying? Oh, shit... How was he supposed to get mad at him now? Felix suddenly wasn’t certain which reaction he hated more; Arjan kissing him back that one time during truth or date, or this boy crying after they had kissed. He was really questioning his kissing techniques, but he also knew it was likely that something along with the kiss had upset him. "You can punch me if you want, I don’t really care." He sort of did. The kid pushed hard. He couldn’t imagine what his punch would be like. Then again, perhaps it had just been a surge of adrenaline.

He pushed a hand into the pocket of his leather jacket and withdrew a monogrammed handkerchief. It was likely uncharacteristic coming from such attire, but he usually had it in his pocket for a reason; his younger sisters’ tear ducts were trigger-happy, and they were well known for using waterworks to tug at his heartstrings. "Here." He grumbled as he quickly shoved it into the boy’s hands. This was awkward. Could he even ask the questions he had been shouting at the Hogwarts student just moments before? Seeing the boy’s tears had quickly defused the fiery rage building inside of him.

The anger was replaced with a sinking feeling in his gut. Was he about to apologize? It was rather unlike him. Usually, he would just storm away or roll his eyes and respond with a snide comment. "... I got caught up in the game. I thought it would be okay to kiss you because you kissed everyone else the bottle landed on." He shrugged his shoulders, shoving his hands into the pockets of his ripped jeans. "I guess it's no excuse. Sorry if I was a shitty kisser. I don't go around kissing guys every day. I mean--... Girls either... Whatever, the point is that I'm sorry. I should have asked you first."

Alec's trusting of his ability to come up with a threat had been a weak game plan. He looked incredibly foolish trying to get out the words. Alec needed a few moments to get his head working once more. Alec was just trying to gather himself. He didn't know why he'd been starting to cry. He just had to figure out how to stop, he refused to cry in front of the person he'd already shoved. He'd look worse if he was crying and it already looked bad enough as is. Alec wiped at his eyes once more. It was an inward battle to get himself to be quiet for a moment so Alec could exit semi-peacefully, uninterested in whatever the other had to say. Alec just knew enough that this kid didn't seem to be wanting to go away just yet.

Even in between tears Alec recognized the fact that it was quite laughable, offering to be punched. Alec still didn't believe the other actually thought Alec was going to do it. Alec wanted to make some sort of comment about it. Keeping quiet other than the small amounts of a sniffle Alec let his arms fall to his sides. Perhaps a gesture meaning he wasn't going to do it. He wanted too, something somewhere wanted too. It was senseless at the moment, leaving Alec frustrated. Alec eyes were assessing the other carefully. After this kid's words Alec doubted he'd try and pull a fast one. The movement made Alec question it, until he realized what foreign boy was pulling out. A handkerchief, which he promptly put into Alec's hands. Alec's hands which were resembling half-fists.

Alec began folding his arms across his chest, handkerchief in hand. He wasn't actually going to use it. Alec debated just dropping it but someone eventually had to pick it up. His gaze narrowed. He was mad about the kindness. This was a rather unconventional way, and it was not being used within the correct purpose, it however got Alec to stop sniffling. In fact Alec straightened his posture, as he looked at the other. The boy barely knew what he was apologizing for, Alec noted this, mostly because, Alec didn't know either! It didn't feel like an actual game when Alec cared. Alec didn't know why he cared. He shouldn't have cared, he hadn't cared when he'd been actually kissed at spin the bottle during the end of his first year at Hogwarts.

“Your dim-witted.” Alec muttered, faster breathing was clearer with the in and out of his chest. Alec though the comment could apply to him as well. Staying here and talking to this kid? Looking a fool with the scraped up knee. Alec didn't even believe what he was saying. He was just saying it because he was mad at this point. “Who do you think you are? I don't care for your pathetic attempt at an apology.” Alec said, he moved closer. He didn't care for this kid's apology whether it had been true that it was pathetic. “I don't care if you're good at kissing or not.” Alec was annoyed he had to at all say that. Who cared about if they were bad kissers or not? It was such an idiotic concept in Alec's mind. This was all rubbish, he-“You don't even know what your apologizing for,” Alec blurted this out before he'd had time to think through the words.

“For reference, I didn't actually kiss any of them. ” He made as to move his thumb to his own lips, the concept was not that hard to understand, therefore explaining it without explaining it at least it Alec's mind, should not be difficult. Alec had felt uncomfortable with even pretending to kiss the one boy, his nerves set off because of it. Mostly just nervous the stranger thought he was odd. It wasn't like he loved pretending to kiss the girl, she was nice and all, but it felt like a game that way. Alec didn't want to think about this he was getting nowhere anyway, it made his head hurt. “No your not my first kiss, and no I wouldn't be able to explain why I'm upset with you.” Alec said, he looked away. Alec took another moment, chewing on his lip in thought before he spoke. “I probably shouldn't have shoved you that hard.” Alec said eventually, he handed the handkerchief back to him before surveying the other up and down.

“Did you get hurt?”

Alec felt he was at blame in some way. It made it worse with the fact that the other had attempted an apology. Alec wasn't apologizing in the least. He didn't feel bad for shoving him, Alec just felt he could've eased off on the force, even in the rush of adrenaline and waves of emotions he would have rather ignored. If he'd gotten hurt maybe he deserved an apology, it hadn't been Alec's intention to hurt him.

Perhaps it had been poor judgement on Felix's part to chase after a boy who had just knocked him to the ground. Despite toting around high marks, there were times that the Swede rushed into a situation without thinking it through. He was still a reckless teenaged boy at the end of the day. Luckily for him, it would seem that Alec had no intentions of zeroing in for a second push, so long as Felix didn't completely back him into a corner. Regardless, for a moment Felix felt his body tense up in preparation for a possible punch, but he was able to quickly relax when he saw those arms fall limply at his sides. Was offering him a free punch odd? Sure, but the Durmstrang student would have been able to swallow physical violence much easier than the tears the kid was shedding. There was also no way that Felix was going to try and kiss the guy again. He might have been an asshole at times, but he wasn't into masochism.

At the Gryffindor's lack of appreciation, Felix was tempted to tell him he was welcome, but he quickly swallowed the sarcastic quip down and stared at the handkerchief his grandmother had hand embroidered. Was he just going to hold it and not use it? He sighed, his brows knitting together. Fine, let the boy drop it on the ground or toss it at him like the damsel did in those old storybooks. No good deed goes unpunished.

"... Are you serious?" Felix responded, sounding exasperated. Dim-witted? That was a first. Whatever, his demeanour was quickly returning to his usual unheeding 'see if I care' attitude. A farce, of course, because he was actually starting to get a bit pissed off. What was this kid's problem anyway? "I think I'm a guy who saw I upset another person. I think I'm a guy who was trying to make amends for that. That's who the hell I think I am." He had only done what the game called for. Sure, the guy was allowed to be upset for whatever reason he wanted. Felix just wanted to understand the logic behind it. Especially if it had to do with his kissing. "Yeah, so maybe you can tell me why. I didn't come out here to just yell at you or push you back. If you think I'm an idiot because I was concerned and followed you, I question the kind of people you usually hang out with."

Then the boy had started to explain his methods. Something about placing a thumb over his partner's lips. "... I didn't know you were using some sort of stage trick. Obviously it worked as it was intended to. Why didn't you do that to me? I gave you enough time." He wasn't questioning the boy defensively nor was he blaming him, but he was genuinely curious why he hadn't slipped in the stage method for their kiss. The boy was then explaining he couldn't tell him why he was upset, and the Durmstrang student quirked a brow. "I mean, I could make several guesses as to why, but that's beside the point." Motivation was a funny thing. Perhaps the boy had feelings for someone else, was afraid of his sexuality, was cursed to turn into stone when kissed... No, that last one was just how it felt. He was tempted to point out that it didn't have to count as a kiss since he hadn't kissed him back, but he decided to keep his mouth shut.

With a sigh, Felix would accept that handkerchief back and shove it into his pocket. His mum would have killed him if he had lost it anyways. "Well, I guess I shouldn't have kissed you either, so let's just call it a day." Mistakes had been made. Knees scraped, bruises given. Were they done talking about touchy-feely stuff? He felt uneasy, flustered even. He wanted to go back to his cabin and read a book. At the next question, he simply shrugged his shoulders. His hand reached up to absently play with the zipper of his jacket. "You've got some force behind you, I have to admit. But it didn't bug me, I'm a duellist, so I'm pretty used to getting the wind knocked out of me.."

It may have been true, Alec being blindsided by his rage, or whatever other foreign feelings had come his way. Yet the Gryffindor felt very justified, especially with his words. Feeling they were justified he may have possibly gone a tad too far, but at least it was enough to exert a semi-normal reaction out of the other. Who blew up. That was something to go off of?

Alec wasn't sure, the thing was with situations like this, he'd had some experience. Both parties tended to be upset. His personal experience ranged from an angry older sibling who was yelling at him over the sad end of a fairly expensive glass tea set. It had taken Alec weeks to acquire the tea set, he'd had multiple failed spy mission until one turned out grand. There wasn't much to apply here from that though was there. Arguments with friends? Usually petty, friend disagreements couldn't be anything but.

Alec was more annoyed with the stage trick comment, too keep peace however, he didn't comment until he'd gotten the answer as to whether or not the other was okay. Huffing out a laugh at Felix's latest comment. “That seems like a subtle way to brag.” It slipped out of Alec's lips. “For a duellist I would have expected more push back, or at least to be more alert because of the situation, don't you know how to dodge?”Alec's voice trailed before his brows furrowed. Alec could be upset with the kissing mess later, there was another thing on his mind. This time, duelling. He'd joined the Gryffindor duelling team on a whim, he hadn't exactly done the team proud, losing two duels, yet he'd one his last one. He was aware he was getting better, he had pride in it, especially with his last duel. To be fair he'd been a rather inexperienced dueller, besides, at least he'd done better then the Gryffindor team captain. Alec tried too help, but it was rather frustrating having the other get knocked out first leaving Alec to finish the win off for the both of them.

Among all the other activities he'd done during the summer to keep him away from certain people as much as possible, duelling practice was one. Sure he wasn't exactly shooting out spells, but, both the studying by book and the practice of defensive moves plus the work he'd done before he left, made a great mark. Leaving the soon to be third-year certain he'd be ranked near the top. Failing wasn't an option anymore, he had to be ruthless. Alec had to prove he was made out of something, he had to prove he was strong. People doubted him. Alec folded his arms across his chest looking Felix over once more. “I'm a duellist as well therefore I have some sort of right to say that. What school are you from?”
The problem was, with Felix shrugging it off as if it was barely nothing, Alec felt less morally wrong to go on. As if he'd been given permission. Going off for cheap shots of course, Alec was maybe more annoyed in the fact that because this kid was a duellist it was possible that people used that kid as a representation of one. Your supposed to have rather good reflexes if your a duellist, besides it meant time in duels meant nothing. A part of duelling was learning safety and self-defense.

That was a lie either way. He lied straight to Alec's face. Duellists train, yeah, and their duels make them tougher, but shoving someone is very different from spells. Which annoyed Alec a touch if he got into his thoughts more on this, but for now thinking was for the weak-minded.
