For some bizarre reason, it was decided that there would be an official day of several games of 'Truth or Dare' taking place throughout the day for students to partake in. Well, not just students but most of the adults did not seem to sign up. Either way, there was an official school-wide event for the day. Those who were keen to take part were told to meet at the grounds when they were ready to play.

Each player was also given a t-shirt in their favourite colour with their name on the back in embroidery. The front had a small symbol on the top left side of their cabin animal, a simple outline of the animal in one colour. It was easy enough to do when professors had their favourite colours in advance from the original registration list when they were signing up for cabins. If they didn't pick a colour at that time, they would be given a grey one. They were welcome to also write on the t-shirt and add more if they wished to but the embroidery had a handmade feel to it already, so some might not want to 'ruin' it. At this point, it was personal preference. The size was 'magicked' to the correct size for them. They were encouraged to wear the t-shirt on the Truth or Dare day, in order to take part.

It was a nice bright sunny day. There were plenty of blankets, bean bags, logs or cushions around that students could arrange as they wanted and sit on if they so desired. There were a few large cooler boxes dotted around that had a selection of different drinks. Non-alcoholic, of course. Bottles of water, juice or other soft drinks like fizzy drinks stocked the boxes. There were also some picnic baskets that contained snacks that they could pick up and take with them. Things like packets of crisps, biscuits, chocolates and candy. Anything wrapped or easy to take with them. Food was not what people were here for, though - but let's be honest, it was a priority, at least in Jensen's eyes.

But for most people, it was the game that mattered most. Students arrived at the grounds, ready to play. They would find themselves with a group of others. There was a large gold goblet propped up on a tablet. It had a purple flame over it, though if touched, it would feel cool and nothing would set on fire. Next to it, there were stacks of paper and quills with ink to write down their name.

Those who wished to take part had to sign their name - and whether they chose a truth or a dare - onto the paper and put it into the goblet. In return, they would be given a name for someone else who had signed up - as well as that person's choice. Whatever name they received, their task was to give that person a 'truth' or 'dare', as they wanted. This was made easier by the fact that everyone - well, those who actually listened - was wearing a handmade t-shirt with their names on it. They were also, of course, expected to fulfil any truths or dares given to them by others in the group.

(And no, this is not the same goblet as in the Triwizard Tournament. I just liked those gifs).

Students were not forced to do any of the truths or dares. They could ignore it if they wanted and not do it if they didn't want to. There were no consequences. Except for the lack of bragging rights. Of course, all usual school rules applied and students were asked not to propose any 'truths' or 'dares' that encouraged breaking that. There was also a sign that said "consent is cool, people" as a reminder.
How This Game Works:
1. Just to make it easier to moderate, I have randomly assigned sign-ups to smaller groups. This is your group. IC, you can see what's happening in the other threads (as it's all happening at the same time around the same place) but OOC, you'll get allocated people within your groups only for ease.

Note: You can mention reacting to seeing others in their groups. However, if you mention specific individuals then please acquire OOC consent to mention them first. If you do not have OOC consent, please don't metagame/godmod seeing them. (Assume you cannot see them if they haven't given you consent).

2. Your group is at the bottom of this post. You will receive your first allocation in a couple of days.

3. Week 1 - Please roleplay posing a truth or dare to this assigned person, based on their choice. You will have one week to do this.

4. If you do not receive truth or dare by the deadline, message me and I'll give you a random one (most likely from Google =p)

5. Week 2 - everyone (including you) will RP out the choices out.

6. In your Week 2 post, please remember to pick a 'Truth' or 'Dare' if you wish to get a new one. If you don't specify clearly (in an 'action') then I will probably just assume you want the same as whatever you signed up with.

This will then just repeat so that you get new assignments and a second victim. If you don't post within either the posing dares/truths or RP stage, we will remove you from the next assignments.
IMPORTANT:
Remember, we have site ratings and rules. All dares/truths need to follow those. Remember your character's age, the site rating and rules. Make sure you have OOC consent for things. Every truth or dare you propose must follow site ratings and OOC rules. Don't be a OOC jerk, essentially.
And no, I don't care about IC rules (despite what the text says). You can propose dares that break IC rules if you wish to and if that's what your character would do (IC, Jensen will ask that you don't but you can ignore that and do it - though, you may get in trouble for posing it too).

Pericles had never played truth-or-dare.
It wasn't as if the idea was unappealing. The fact that he hadn't indulged in one of the most classic childhood games of all time was due to the fact that he hadn't shared much of his upbringing with, well, other children. Until now that is. Hogwarts was doing a bang up job of showing him everything he had been missing out on. Truth or Dare, just the name itself was frightfully exciting. Would one be dared to do something they would never do otherwise, or be made to tell a truth which was formerly kept secret? He wouldn't begin too boldly. Being dared to jump in the lake or stick a finger up Professor Iwasaki's nose were overly daunting potentials, and he was sure he didn't have too many secrets to keep, so "Truth" was a safe option. There were exceedingly few things in the world which Pericles was bashful about, or so he was currently convincing himself. He signed his name and dropped it into the mysterious goblet.

The Ravenclaw arrived in the camp's luxurious custom clothing, a storm grey shirt, blissfully unaware of the fact that those who did not select a favorite color were also given grey. It featured the name "𝙿𝙴𝚁𝙸𝙲𝙻𝙴𝚂" embroidered on the back, unsurprisingly, and a tiny thestral outlined over his chest. Black travel pants and brown hiking boots completed the uncharacteristically mundane ensemble. After investigating the nearby coolers, he elected to avoid the sugary drinks; his first and last run-in with caffeine at Anastasia Beckett's ball had taught him to hold off on the stuff. Peri played it safe with a bottle of cool water, though he would treat himself with a bag of crisps, breathing a tiny huff of amused air. Crisps weren't exactly something his family kept in the kitchen. He didn't come here for his health. He was going to eat so many crisps, while he still could. Water and snack in either hand, he settled into a seat, perched atop one of the logs gathered into the game area. A single crisp was gingerly pulled from the pack for an experimental bite. Calm and content, he awaited the other arrivals, inwardly mulling over how the game might go.

How hard could it be?

───The month of August seemed to be passing by quickly, no doubt in part to how eventful the days at summer camp seemed to be. Time was fleeting, and the summer months seemed to be a perfect example of this; a mixture of lazy days, fun activities, and laughter. Cherished but was gone far too quickly.

Truth and dare. It was something that Winnie had often seen portrayed within Muggle movies. It was usually between a group of giggling teenaged girls who dared their friend to kiss their crush. She had not had the pleasure of playing it before. Until today, that was. When she had received her pink shirt that was embroidered with her name and a cute little Hippogriff, she had happily worn it. She had paired it with a light green skirt that flared out before its lace embellished hem rest above her knee line. On her feet were a pair of braided strap sandals that had been adorned with fabric daisies. Her wild, hip-length hair floated behind her in the warm summertime breeze. The strands of her hair were kept out of her face by two metallic daisy hairpins.

The group she had been placed in provided her with new faces, but some were familiar. Particularly Levi Drakos, a Gryffindor boy whose honeyed words brought a new sort of panic to her heart. Still, she was fond of him and intrigued, like the foolish girl she was and was more than happy to be in the same group. The only other person she recognized was a prefect from her own house; Pericles Dralt. The fair-haired boy seemed interesting and had a great eye for fashion, but Winnie could not recall a time they had interacted. Well, that would hopefully change tonight!

She had written her name on the piece of paper, along with her desire for a dare. She had also written, in tiny letters ‘make it interesting!’ with a tiny winky face. Go big or go home, right? She turned on her heel with a grin. It was with confidence that she approached the roaring purple fire. As she dropped her name into the cup the cool flames tickled her hands and she giggled. She took a step back to rejoin her group. She would have to wait for everyone else to put their names into the fire before she could draw one. At least that’s what she assumed. She would offer a smile and a rather nervous wave to Levi and Mr. Dralt.

Summer Camp was absolutely flying by and Tina, to her surprise just as much as anyone else's, was loving every second of it. Sure, she wasn't quite used to the spiders just yet, but the Hippogriff cabin was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and it felt like every day offered a new activity for the students to occupy themselves with. Today, that activity was one she was all too familiar with: Truth or Dare. She'd been to her fair share of sleepovers, and things could get crazy pretty quickly. At Hogwarts, things could only get crazier.

Immediately, this thought was backed up by the means of distributing the truth or dare requests: via an enchanted goblet. Proudly donning her pink 'Martyna' shirt, which was coupled with a pair of modest blue shorts, Tina grabbed herself a slip of paper. The ink taunted her: truth or dare? Tina took a moment to crack open a fanta, slowly slurping on the fizzy, orange-flavoured drink and leering about the room. The several cheeky faces of young Hogwarts students told her everything she needed to know: picking dare was probably a bad idea.

But wasn't that the fun of it?

Setting down her beverage, she circled the option 'DARE' with a considerably bold weight of pen, scrawled her name above it and, before she could decide against doing so, tossed it into the goblet. It rattled as though it was about to burst, shaking on the stand, and then instantly spat back another slip of paper, which floated down and landed in Tina's palms.

Levi Drakos
DARE
It was at this moment that it occurred to her just why they'd been given these embroidered shirts: she hadn't a clue who 'Levi' was, what he looked like or what year he was in. One thing she did note, however, was that he was a boy, and boys her age were very easy to dare. They outraged at the easiest of dares, more keen to do something awful like drink a shot of vinegar than let, God forbid, a girl do their eyebrows. She smirked to herself, glancing about the crowded grounds on her tip-toes for a shirt labelled with her victim's name.

Target acquired.

His choice of colour had been a deep sea green, and judging by the magical animal on the front of his shirt, he was staying in the Dragon Cabin. He was the type of handsome which insinuated that you came from money, with sleeked back brown hair and unblemished skin, and this fact only increased her glee. With misplaced confidence that only someone devoid of any social anxiety could muster, Tina strode over, flashing the ticket in hand.

"So, Levi.. Drah-koss..." Tina wasn't sure if that was how his surname was pronounced, but she was going with it. She was aiming to keep her tone airy and mysterious in an attempt to engage him. Slowing her pace, she came to halt in front of him. He was a tad bit taller than her, and so she tilted her head to look up, eyes glinting mischievously with her hands falling to her hips. "I dare you to wax one of your legs." Perfect. She'd never touched her leg hair before, but according to her mother waxing was pretty painful. "The muggle way, I mean. I bet there'll be some strips in Dragon Cabin bathroom. They have, like, everything."

Was this the most creative idea she'd had? Maybe not. Did she enjoy seeing boys in pain over something girls were regularly expected to endure? Most definitely.

Truth or dare. What an interesting game. You either spill your insides to someone or do a random thing of their choosing. When Irina heard that there was going to be an official day to it, she had to sign up. It was a game that she had a bit of experience with. When she attended magly school it was played a lot of the time and Irina always picked dare. Trusting people wasn’t really what she did and telling strangers her secrets was never going to happen. Anyways, she loved going on adventures and trying new things so dare was definitely for her.

Arriving at the grounds she was handed a shirt with her name embroidered and her cabin logo on the front. It was in her favorite color too and even if it wasn’t the most stylish thing, it was nice of them to hand them out. Perhaps they would make it easier to know people’s names. She put on the shirt and went to find a group to sit in. Siting on a log that was around a goblet, she took a look at the surrounding area. It was set up nicely with drinks and picnic baskets of food. Soon enough she would have to get something to eat because she was pretty hungry. Irina had gotten over the fact that she could be poisoned here because she needed to eat and drink and, she was better at identifying potions now.

Placing her name in the goblet with the word dare written on it, she received a name that said Serena Bowen - Dare. Irina didn’t know who it was which was expected but looked around at her group for a Serena on the back of a shirt. Finally finding the girl, she came up to her and introduced herself. “Hi Serena, I’m Irina from Koldovstoretz and I got you.” Thinking about a dare, Irina looked around for anything that could be used when her eyes fell on the drinks. It was time to strike some revenge, here and now everyone one in attendance would know what Hogwarts did at the ball. It was time for them to get a bit of justice.

Looking back at Serena she gave her dare while smiling mischievously. “I DARE you to grab a drink from over there, take a sip and yell as loud as you can, ‘It’s poison, they are poisoning us all!’” With an emphasis on the dare and a nod to the drinks, Irina’s dare was all set up now all she could do was hope that this girl would follow through with it.

As it would happen, truth-or-dare could be quite hard.

The endearing event had started out simply enough for Pericles, selecting a snack and adding his name to the batch. He was patient as ever, rarely one to rush into a new experience, hiding excitement behind a serene smile and unhurried mannerisms. Poised politeness was woven into his personality, a staple to most pureblood upbringings. When Winnie waved, he raised his hand in reply, smile spreading just enough for teeth to show. The pale-faced wizard and fiery-haired witch were not well acquainted, but it was always a pleasure to see more eagles around at these events. Better for breaking the stereotype that their sort only lived in libraries. More joined the circle, fresh faces providing the promise of entertainment. Peri observed the proceedings with his trademark tranquility only to perk as a name wafted his way. He read the paper, then drew a silent but swift breath, consequently choking on a crisp. Phaedra Stavrou: the living embodiment of ideal heirdom.

There were a number of reasons why Pericles ought to have interacted with Phaedra. They were both prefects, both members of the Headliner, both Ravenclaw duellists. Their sea-oriented families even had past transactional ties. In spite of it all, he was not so sure he had said more than two words to her throughout his tenure at Hogwarts. Now he was supposed to don some fictitious authority, allowing him to prompt an honest statement out of her? Composure was reduced to a bout of gross coughing and wheezing as he tried to dislodge the crisp. At least it served as an excuse for the garish red standing out starkly on his freckled face. Eventually, when his breath was caught, he preoccupied himself by drinking way too much water. The name was kept folded in his fist. Phaedra would be left waiting as Pericles allowed others to trade their truths or dares first. He was biding for time; what was he even supposed to ask her?

Favorite song? Anyone could ask that at any time. Ever broken school rules? Who here hadn't...? Any secrets you've kept from your parents? Rubbish, it was outright rude to try and ask for something she had hidden from her own blood. If you could go back in time, what would you... no. Not that. He wagered he knew the answer, and now was not the time nor place. For some time, as names were added and magically doled out, Pericles perched on the edge of the log with a faraway look, lost to lists of potential truths. He would be trapped in this cycle of apprehension over asking something too personal, too embarrassing, or Rowena forbid, too boring. Time was dwindling out. He would have to settle for something, get this done and over with. "Phaedra?" He coughed and cleared his throat one more time, because of the crisp you know, not nerves. The wary way he managed to meet her eye came off as preemptively apologetic. "What is the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?"

Part II/III (Round 1)
Part I

───After Pericles' kind smile and wave, Winnie noticed a few more people from their group had arrived, and she felt comfortable enough walking back over to the fire to try and collect the name of her partner for this round. She squinted down at the piece of paper after snatching it from the purple flames.

'Martyna Romero. Dare.'

She only had a faint idea of who this was, because the two of them shared the same cabin, but that did make it easier to find her within the sea of students. A smile curved onto the Ravenclaw's lips as she spotted the girl's dark curly hair. It seemed that Martyna's favourite colour was also pink, so she was a girl with great taste. Or so she thought. As she approached the girl, she heard her giving Levi a rather terrible dare. Waxing one leg? How could she do that to poor Levi? He would be so uneven. As much as the boy caused her to panic, she didn't wish to mess with his legs, not during the summer months! She should at least have him wax both legs!

"I'm guessing you're Martyna Romero?" She asked as she approached the two with her hands on her hips. One of her brows arched as she looked over the girl. "You're really going to force him to wax only one of his legs? He can't walk around like that all summer." This could definitely influence her dare. She momentarily fixed her eyes on Levi and offered him a sheepish smile before returning her gaze to Martyna. "Well, if he has to wax only one of his legs, I dare you to wax off only one of your eyebrows!" That's right! She had his back.

Serena was excited. She had only played one game of truth or dare before with her family when she was little, but she imagined it would be a lot more fun with people her own age. So, when she heard that there was going to be a whole day dedicated to the classic game at summer camp, the thirteen-year-old had to sign up.

She left her cabin wearing the pink t-shirt that she had received upon arriving at camp. The organizers had encouraged it for playing the game, and Serena figured that it would be a lot easier for people who didn’t know her to find her with her name embroidered on the back. Plus, the shirt was cute with the tiny Augurey on the front. She also wore some simple jean shorts and sandals, not seeing a need to get too dressed up for a simple day of playing a game.

Walking over to the goblet, Serena quickly wrote down her name with the word dare next to it and threw it into the goblet. She then grabbed the paper that fluttered out. On it was a name: Percival Rainwood with the word Dare beside it. The name sounded vaguely familiar, but she couldn’t quite picture a face that went with it. Thank goodness most people were wearing their t-shirts. Quickly locating her person, she walked over to him.

“Hi! You’re Percival, right? I’m Serena, and I got you for this round!” She greeted with a smile and a wave.

Serena thought for a quick second about what dare she should give him. She didn’t want to give him anything too extreme for the first round. Or something too embarrassing. She glanced over at one of the picnic baskets and got an idea.

“Hmm, how about you take one of the snacks over there and try to eat it without using your hands or Wingardium Leviosa?” Serena giggled. Hopefully, he would actually do it.

Spin the Bottle had a cousin with a similar moral alignment but a broader spectrum of showing that off to bystanders: Truth or Dare. She was the cousin that went to family reunions only to hug a few older people and linger nervously in the corner, unsure who most of the folks surrounding her were. Still, the family was delighted to see how much taller she’d gotten than when she was two, and Little Miss Spin the Bottle would stare in awe as a bunch of strange children answered bizarre questions and did things that really, they ought not.

So, irresistible, in short. Talking to Levi, you’d think he was a Russian landing on the moon just a fraction of a second before Neil Armstrong. The brunet was quite overjoyed to be taking part in the game, especially with a staff eye lingering in the corner as to prevent any unfortunate happenings that would certainly not be his own fault. It may not prevent the toxins spat from his own crowbar tongue, but hey, perhaps others would feel that chill to their bone meeting eyes with the superior. Levi admitted there was some intimidation, but the eerie kind, not that to make him stray from the elastic boundaries.

He glanced to his assignment, per se. Astoria Swann. He’d never heard that name before, or if he had it would evade him now, and the boy would scan the crowd looking for the letters that spelled it out. They were located simply enough, embroidered fancily on the back side of the shirt stitched with every though bowing to her title. He’d smile widely, offering his hand in greeting with eyes that glinted in childlike excitement. “Alright. Dare, eh? Respectable. The person you hate most in this room, go hit them.”

Levi didn’t approve of hatred, but boy would this be funny.
