Aldor thought that it would be rude if he kept this helmet on along all of the conversation, so he took it off, finally revealing his face, he didn't look sick like some other days, maybe he was finally taking care of himself this time, even his pale skin seemed to have a little more color today. Then again it could be makeup, but who would wear makeup with a helmet on them.
He listened to Vivian, he was rather flattered about the fact that she called him 'brilliant', he thought that his costume was a bit too much for a one night thing, then again, he did use a really bulky dragon costume for Hallowen, Aldor was sort of a proffesional at making huge costumes, but surely, if two people already thought that it looked really good, he was not gonna doubt what they were saying. He smiled nervously as he looked back at Vivian, who explained that she was startled by it at first.
''Well then, it seems my costume worked as I planned, but I wasn't exactly planning on you being the first person who would be scared by it.''
He chuckled quietly, as he gently brushed some of his hair away from his dark green eyes, trying not to poke his eyes with his costume's fingernails, now that he was completely sure that Vivian would stay with them, he felt a bit more comfortable with showing his face, but he still seemed a little nervous, probably because he didn't want to look like a fool in front of Vivi's friend.
''So- Aren't you going to dance Vivi?-''
While it didn't sound like an invitation for her to dance with him, it could be easily misinterpreted, it was just an innocent question. In fact, he was trying to ask if she had someone to dance with out of mere curiosity, or at least that was the intention of the question. He was definetely not going to dance with anyone, so he wanted to know his friend did have something planned, but at that point, he didn't think of the consequences of not picking the right words.
Aldor was the sort of person who would tell their friends to go dance and have fun while he watched from a distance, he never really expected to find someone interested in him, obviously, this was part of the fact that his self confidence was practically zero. Surely, if someone asked him to dance he would freak out before even saying yes, and he would never approach someone to invite them to dance.
He hoped that at the very least his friend did have someone to dance with tonight, maybe Samantha? He was unaware of this last thought, but he wanted to keep his friends happy, even if that costed his own sanity, this was once again, one of the bad habits Aldor Humbleglow had, and would most likely never get rid off.

Samantha looked at her friend with a face of disbelieve. Did Vivian really think Sam wouldn't notice that she was lying. "Your eyes are sweating? You are a bad lair." Samantha giggled, sweating eyes, it was creative.
The costume told about his artistic freedom, whoever was inside of it sounded nervous and couldn't be much older then Samantha. "I also thinks it works wel!"
"Humbleglow? As in the same as Iphiane Humbleglow, what a funny coincidence, having the same last name as a famous writer." Samantha loved reading books, and she had read some of Iphiane Humbleglow's books. Of course she hadn't read all of them, some didn't interested the young girl.
When Vivian whispered to Samantha about Aldor she nodded, she remembered that. "Well, nice to meet you! And yes, I am friends with Vivian, best friends." Samantha looked proud, she loved being friends with Vivian. Ever since there first meeting they had been friends and Vivian was an amazing friend. She always listened to Sam's rambling and even seemed to like it.

How long had it been, since Kaegen ascended from his hole, how long had it been since the ravenclaw showed his face? He had friends, after all. People who cared for him, although he really didn't know it, didn't trust it. The scarf santario martin had given him did not adorn his neck. For all the world, it was as though he no longer owned one. But the scarf was still with him, it annoyed him, drove him to ramble to himself some nights, confused as to why it meant so much. The scarf was folded neatly in a little bag, strapped tight to his chest. It meant something, it meant warmth. But why? Kaegen did not know, and could not remember. It was as though the piece of cloth was enchanted, somehow.
It was too much trouble to really befriend Kaegen, it was more than it was worth to form a bond. You always had to walk on eggshells, always had to endure test after test. Impossible tests, tests no one could reasonably be expected to pass. Get angry? You fail. Be happy? You fail. Be neither? Also a fail, but for different reasons. For the most part, before even admitting to himself that the die had been cast, Kaegen judged those around him before talking to them at all. His interactions then mostly served as confirmation bias, fueling his impromptu worldview. How could you get close to someone so adept at deflecting goodness and light?
And even if you did make progress, Kaegen simply forgot it. He forgot so much, at first on purpose, and then by accident, blocking out the hurt and the pain by erasing it from his mind, along with a lot of things that didn't do anything at all. Nico had tried, a long time ago, to do something with the monster of hogwarts' halls. And maybe they would have succeeded had Kaegen not decided to walk away. To erase himself, to destroy his castle, to close the doors to his world.
And now, suddenly, he was back. A figure so distinctive it was nearly impossible to mistake him for someone else. A dirty, trashy little skeleton that smelled of dust, and looked like dust, and was dust.
Kaegen's eyes kept forward, trying to scan for anyone that looked as though they recognized him. There was some kind of a skirmish, which was to be expected, and was probably fine to ignore as long as it was also avoided. He would look backwards, briefly, at tea and mushroom, long enough to mutter the words
"Start looking for portals"
If a fight was already in motion, then there wasn't a lot of time before everything descended into chaos. Far less time than they realistically needed to find a way to jump worlds. Which would mean their portals would probably have to be slapdash, and unstable.
"This would be easier if either of us were hot."
Observing behavior was something Kaegen did frequently, and although he didn't do it very well, he did it often enough to know when something worked. And the damsel in distress act? That worked. They would have to play the lost souls with hope for redemption act in a pinch, and that was harder to sell.
"Maybe food, first, then we look? If someone popular needs saving, maybe wait until they're in mortal danger before helping them."
A raspy voice, thinking out loud, sharing his thoughts with his other head, mushroom. His eyes briefly caught the side of someone's face, someone who looked disturbingly familiar, someone in the middle of the disturbance. And for some reason, the memory bothered him. Like it belonged to an anomaly, a glitch in his reality that shouldn't exist. With a quick muttered
"Act cute, voice."
Kaegen would sidestep for the tables, expecting tea to follow

Open to interactionsFor Moderation:Man and wife. They were officially, unofficially married. How had she let this happen. How could she let one of her best friends get married this young. Lavinia was older one out of the two and was supposed to prevent her from making decisions that she would regret yet she let it happen. She believed that 2 first years under the effect of love potion, the same love potion she had experienced, could get married. They looked so in love in her eyes and now after the ‘wedding’ was done she regretted not doing anything. She missed the opportunity to do so.
Her stalling wasn’t enough and now her friend had probably made a bad decision. It had happened though and the only thing she could really do now was say a type of congratulations. Moving towards Haley again, she said in the most kind voice she could muster, “Congrats Haley on getting married. I’m not sure that I’ll understand it but I’m glad that you found your soulmate.” with that she gave a smile to Haley and let her go off to the dance floor to dance with her 11 year old husband. More people started to come over and Lavinia didn’t really want to intrude on anyone’s conversation so she took a few steps away from where the wedding took place.
She wondered what would happen next to them? Would they still be friends or boyfriend/girlfriend if they ever were that? Had she made a mistake by not stopping it? Could this possibly cost the married two’s friendship or her own friendship with Haley? Would they be angry that she didn’t do anything? Would they have been angry if she did? Questions were circling so quickly that it was hard to keep up with her own thoughts. Looking towards the dance floor she tried to convince herself that she made the right decision. Haley was there with a big smile on her face and as long as her friends were happen than she was.
So now that the wedding had commenced and Lavinia was potion free, what was she going to do at this ball. Looking around she noticed the fight going on and decided that she would stay away from that. She almost left until she remembered that they were still potioned and she needed to there to help with the aftermath. Hopefully this potion effect would wear out soon because she had had more than her fill of love potion tonight.ReducioAction: Having self doubt

note me and henry knight - charles' writer - have decided on a shoulder punch instead of a jaw one. this ultimately changes nothing, it just makes more sense with the two characters' heights
@Lucia Fox @Henry Knight────── ☆ ───────The punch hit with a satisfying thump, and it made Scarlett wonder briefly why she didn't punch people more often.
Oh right, she thought afterwards. Rules.
Scarlett then registered Cassie's startled yells. She turned curiously to look at Cassie. She was saying something about a...potion? But what potion could make someone go so crazy as to start flirting with other students who weren't your date? Slightly frazzled from the action, Scarlett had no clue what the answer could be, as per usual, until it floated into her mind. Love potions. Why would there be love potions in the drinks though? Who would spike punch with Amortentia? The ball organisers wouldn't do it - would they?
Whoever the culprit was, it was a case of foul play.
Afterwards, Charles seemed to break from his stupor and then went and asked what happened. The nerve! In other times, Scarlett would've appreciated his complete ignorance of the situation around him, but this was not other times. She clenched her fists as if to punch him again, but didn't, letting her hand serve as a threat of sorts to the boy, if he partook in any more funny business. Some talking happened, Cassie got mad at the ball organisers letting Amortentia into the drinks. French words were exchanged - Scarlett really needed to start learning French so she could keep up with Cassie and Charles' private conversations - before Cassie ordered Scarlett over and the three of them marched off to a separate area.
"Yes Captain Cassie," said Scarlett, adopting a high-pitched voice. She then laughed. "I'm joking Cass, though you have to admit, Captain Cassie is a very respectable title..." She trailed off as they wandered through the bright lights and music of the Spring Festival, breathing in the air. The song playing was one she recognised from Caden's YouTube escapades - Never Gonna Give You Up, with the dancing ginger guy. Scarlett hummed the tune under her breath, and she thought for a second about where all of her Hogwarts friends were. It would be great to introduce Rose and Henry and Lucia to Drew, Charles and Cassie. Maybe Lindsey could tag along as well. A sliver of doubt crept into her mind - were they all having fun somewhere else, without her? Was that why she couldn't find them? Scarlett thought about breaking off and pursuing an individual quest to find her Hogwarts friends, but then decided that abandoning Cassie and Charles - no matter how insufferable, or at least slightly annoying, Charles was - just wouldn't do.
So she tried to forget about her other friends for the night and focused on the moment. When the trio got to some random location, Scarlett started tapping her foot to the music as Cassie ranted about the love potion. Her friend seemed very angry about the ordeal, and Scarlett was quite annoyed as well. But then again, she hadn't really been a victim of the effects of Amortentia, and it was hard for her to muster up a sense of justice for a cause she didn't know much about. Then again, Cassie was very passionate about all of it, so Scarlett would at least try to contribute something to the platter.
"And then Durmstrang Boy here," said Scarlett, in response to Cassie and gesturing at Charles to indicate the 'Durmstrang Boy', "Started flirting with a boy who isn't even his date! Like I get it's from the potion and all, Charles, but like, chill." Ironic really, since Scarlett was the one who punched him.
"And it's probably not legal either," continued Scarlett, shooting a glare at the Apollo guy who had stolen her outfit theme [Kazuo]. "Look, tell you what. I'm really thirsty and I'm probably going to evaporate soon in all of this heat so I need water. But the punch is spiked with Amortentia right? I'm going to try and test if all of the drinks or just some of them are spiked. If I do get Amortentia I would very much like one of you to slap me. Who, I don't mind. I hope I fall in love with someone pretty and-"
But then talking drew their attention. Something about proposals? Scarlett couldn't hear properly over the - admittedly awesome - music, but Cassie did, and whatever it was, it made her mad. In an instant, Cassie had ran over and started to yell at Mr Outfit Stealer in a burst of fury and protest. Scarlett could only grin widely, rushing over to where she was. She stood there for moral support.
Outfit-Stealer then bit back with a snarky remark that he had bigger issues to deal with than 'a little Amortentia' which made Scarlett all the more determined to join Cassie's cause. And to join it, she would need to experience it. "If my drink is spiked, slap me," she said to Cassie firmly.
Scarlett marched over to the drinks table and selected one, chugging it down in two gulps. It thankfully quenched her thirst - the trials had been quite exhausting - but the effects of the punch? Well, she would just have to wait and see.────── ☆ ───────

A flawlessly cast imobulus missed its target. It seemed her aim would have been fine if Matt was not such a slippery weasel. Perhaps, his dress down had been to make him more aerodynamic. She saw her spell hit another student, one she had seen around her cousin last year… Great, but it also appeared as if her friend was helping her, which meant San could stay where she was and not lose Vladimir whenever he would make his departure.Interacting| Yefim (@Flash Holmwood)

The chaos was starting to dissolve; finally, Quinn had gone off with his girlfriend, which in the end was a little unlike to him walk away from someone in need, but she supposed having someone like that in your life changed you. At least, that is what she had read in some of her books where someone was accused of changing. Maybe someday, if she ever had anyone in her life, she would understand the urge to change for them. Perhaps, it was more of betterment than a change? Regardless now was not the time to dwell on the strange dealings of relationships, especially when it did not involve her.
With Erin in Vladimir’s hands, that meant that he would leave, which meant that she would be following. Or at least that was how she hoped it would play out because Santario had another idea, and she needed to talk to Vladimir alone. It was probably the only way that she would be able to talk him into or out of anything, but she needed the time to appeal to his logic, and she was never going to be able to do that here. There just had to be another way to stop the hag curse, and she thought she had a way to appeal to his sense. A method that could save them all… Maybe.
This seemed like it would not happen, especially not when people who apparently lacked more than one brain cell continued to insert themselves into the fray. “Flipendo!” Santario flourished her wand in the air at Yefim, trying to stop him before he even got to Vladimir, if she was lucky enough. Santario was no longer playing the nice guy; instead of just trying to immobilize people, she was now going to do damage until they all backed off. "Back off this is not your business and you don't even know what is going on you barbarian!" She yelled at him. If she were fortunate, this uncouth barbarian would find himself in the lake.

Winnie’s constant failure was really putting a damper on her entire ball experience. Could a girl not attack her newfound enemy without missing? Mathias Pride was right there in front of her, and she had still missed her target. She had, instead, once more tossed herself onto the ground and landed nearby Jack, just opposite of the twisted dog pile that was Mathias, Ruka, Erin, and Percival. She was just about to push herself back up again and try for another tackle when the two boy’s lips met. She froze up in place, a gasp catching in her throat as she gawked at the two boys.
In her shock, she hardly noticed Vladimir Athanatos trying to use brute force to remove Erin Ryan from the pileup. Or when Percival Gray shouted at him. She had tunnel vision and could only see those locking lips. She watched as Ruka grabbed ahold of his neck, finally shaking herself from her shock as she blinked over at the pair. The boy she considered her hero was saying something about action and consent. He did not seem shaken by the event. It was admirable, really. Although she knew that a reaction was just what Pride had wanted, and without one perhaps his plan had also failed.
The thought soothed her as she stumbled to her feet and absently walked towards one of the still intact refreshment tables. If Pride disliked the splash from a singular drink, he wasn't going to enjoy this. She picked up one of the colour pitchers and turned in place, silently watching the dog pile. The minute that the older Gryffindor let go of the Slytherin, she was going to dose him with the entire damn pitcher. Until that time, she raised the pitcher, the entire thing, to her mouth and took a sip directly from it.Action: Getting Ready to Dose Matt. Taking a drink.

Matthew Pride had somehow obtained a ridiculous amount of luck. Three attacks of varying degrees had been thrown at him yet somehow Matt managed to avoid every single one. Including Kazuo's own attempt to hose the boy down. His unfortunate ability to slither out of the way meant Kazuo had doused, of all people in the pile, the one who least deserved it, Percival. He let out an audible sigh.
Nico's voice drew his gaze as she pleaded for Quinn to stop. His eyes narrowed as he noted the tears running down her cheeks, vibrant crimson against pale white. This tiny girl, prone to tears, was a dhampir and the juxtaposition of her inherently dangerous nature versus her tearful appearance was not lost on him. Though he could hardly disagree with her.
"Yes, please stop." Kazuo repeated in a firm voice. "Ryan." He spoke her name sharply, gazing down at the girl that had started the entire mess, Vlad clinging to a limb in some attempt to wrestle the girl away from her now punch-soaked victim. "Time to leave. You've worn out your welcome."
As Quinn backed away, heeding his girlfriend's plea, Kazuo turned his gaze to Matt, who Ruka was… attempting to hug? His brows arched upward in surprise and he sighed again, reaching out to attempt to grab the slippery eel of a Slytherin by the hair and jerk his head back. "Athanatos-san," He addressed the older Ravenclaw politely. "I would consider it a personal favour if you would be so kind as to escort Ryan to the infirmary." He asked, setting his calculating gaze on Vlad. "And perhaps you can make use of this chronic kisser to help you?" He added with a slight smirk, indicating Matt.
Yet as things finally seemed to be calming down, a completely unexpected element would throw itself into the mix. Yefim, a Durmstrang boy he had met briefly during the Trials, came at Vlad with a fist. Thankfully Santario was quick to act with a Flipendo that Kaz silently prayed would hit it's mark. What was the boy thinking? "Aho! (idiot)" He snapped in frustration.

Intoxicating Beverages
It seemed that first year potioneers experimenting with spiking the punch would occasionally lead to some odd results. @Dan Palmer had been sipping a drink two rounds ago but would find the effects wouldn’t kick in for some time. (Sorry we missed you Dan). Dan would find himself full of Euphoria, overwhelmed by the urge to sing and dance and generally revel in a burst of happiness.
The next to fall prey to the potions would be @Levi Drakos. Invigorated by his drink, what bold actions might he pursue?
@Scarlet Aden would, in the hopes of experiencing that dreaded fake love, down a drink of her own. It seemed fate would provide her with the opportunity she wished for in Amortentia.
The last to taste of the questionable beverages was @Winnie Harper. Would the effects of Amortentia result in any change in the already obsessive girl’s behaviour?
The Wedding
Though the effects of the punch had faded, it seemed the love-struck couple, @Simon Kincaid and @Haley Rose, were intent on their wholly illegal nuptials. @Samantha Salwis, @Vivian Fletcher and @Lavinia Cloven would bear witness to the two twelve-year-olds swearing vows to each other that they couldn’t even begin to comprehend the gravity of. Perhaps they would one day look back on this moment and laugh at how silly they had been.
The Watchers
@Meenauh Silmataurea and @Xailah Alptraum would continue to watch the special entertainment of the evening. Wait, wasn’t one of them a prefect? Shouldn’t they be stepping in and giving detention to the delinquents? Well, perhaps even prefects deserve a night off.
The Brawl
At first it seemed things might actually be settling down a bit. @Nico Shymane pleaded with @Quinn Healy to stop fighting and the half-giant gave in to his pretty Persephone’s tearful request. The two moved away from the dogpile.
@Opeila Winters, despite having witnessed the entire kissault on Ruka, felt the need to call the two boys out as if she had caught them necking in the halls between classes. Suggesting they take this elsewhere, as if they had both decided that the middle of a brawl was the best place to kiss. She did manage to cast a successful Scourgify on @Percival Gray.

"They really are." Cass chimed in with an uninterested glance towards all the commotion. Sometimes she got why her father loved this place, other times, like now, she wondered if he had to deal with this all the time. Cass knew from his stories that he was a child in the aftermath of the second wizarding war. So the school must have been rebuilding a lot back when he was her age.
Her eyes drifted back towards the group of students in a twist. Rolling her eyes, she sighed and tried to focus on something else. Adjusting her flower crown on top of her hat, she heard Maddie speak up. "Honestly Maddie I don't-" As soon as she turned around, she was hit with a flash of light. Cass was falling backwards, but, slowed. Her entire body seemed to freeze at the moment. Maddie yelled her name, Cassanora felt unable to respond. She could feel her friend's hand locking onto her arm and pulling her straight.
As Maddie was dealing with a counter spell, Cassanora was trying to figure out where it had come from. Her eyes searched a couple of faces in the midst of the chaos. There were none of them she really knew a lot of. The tall girl seemed to be more focused on throwing people tonight than anything else. The handful of boys she didn't recognize any off. Her eyes finally stopped when there was the one person she could see cast this spell. She had heard all the stories. It would make sense. Though Cass had never really spoken to her. It was all just Angel seemingly venting about her annoying cousin. San- something? It was an unusual name she recalled. Yes, @Santario Martin did come close to what it was she believed to be the right one.
It seemed the stories weren't too far from the truth then. The girl was after all in the midst of all this. Cassanora felt her control coming back. As soon as Maddie had cast her spell, her body slowly started responding again. Standing up straight, she held her head up high and glared at Angel's cousin. If she hadn't been judging the Hogwarts students so much just a minute ago, she should have stormed right at her. Confront her on the spot. But Maddie was here, Cass would only make her experience worse, and it was already at a low point as they stood there. Shaking off her anger, the young Browne turned to her friend and smiled. "Thanks Mads. Lets just... find somewhere quiet, yes?"
