Shoot for the moon, as they say, even if you miss you’ll land among the stars. Well, Winnie definitely missed, but there was no soft landing amongst the stars. As she took a step forward to leap at Mathias Pride, her ballet flat clad feet got caught up in the sea of of tulle and the train of her dress. It was meant for a fully grown woman, not a girl who barely reached 4’6". As the Irish girl fell — no — face planted onto the ground. She’d succeeded, but only if her goal was to tackle the ground. Using her face. Her only saving grace was that Jack Burnett was too busy trying to save his brother to have seen her monumental failure of a tackle.
But it was to her absolute horror that Mathias Pride had witnessed her failure. "Oh... Ow..." She moaned, using her arms to push herself back up. She had some trouble with her gown’s skirt, as the fabric had twisted around her legs and she had definitely heard a ripping noise earlier. Her mother was going to kill her for ruining this gown. A trembling lip surfacing as she collected herself. "D-Don’t... Don’t look at me!" She snapped at Mathias, as if she weren’t the one who had just tried to tackle him. "AND THIS ISN'T A DATE!"
She flipped the top layer of her skirt upwards, the one that fell much shorter than the rest of the gown. If anyone watched, they might notice that her gown was actually made of two separate pieces, with the large skirt portion unattached and with a separate zipper, something that was unnoticeable when the first skirt was flipped downwards. The purpose was, of course, for when the heavy gown became too much and the wearer wanted to change into something less... Bulky. In hindsight, she definitely should have slid out of the large skirt sooner, but she had gotten carried away. Her fingers found the hook and eye and the zipper of the skirt. It was crafted inside of the stem in away that made it seem invisible. She quickly pulled the zipper down and stepped out of skirt. No need to worry, moderators, for she was wearing bike shorts under her gown, like a proper lady, so she was well clothed even before she flipped down the shorter skirt and smoothed it out.
Without the bulky layers of the larger skirt, her dress hung more loosely, the sheer layers resembling a ballerina skirt, not a platter tutu, but the kind that was often worn to practice. It might have looked cute if her black bike shorts didn’t stick out past the skirt’s length.
As for the ballgown’s large skirt that was currently laying on the floor... Well, she would have picked it up and shoved it to the side, but then Pride's comment caught her attention. He was hovering over a dog pile of people. His hands were on Ruka. Her hero. What was he doing to him? OH MERLIN! He was going to kiss him! He was going to kiss poor Ruka. Something about a dog pile, Jack was in there too... What was happening? Her blood rushed to her face as her adrenal spiked. She would try for a second attack on Mathias.
"DON'T TOUCH HIM!" She wasn't as fast, though. It was unlikely she would be able to stop the kiss attack on poor Ruka if it succeeded. Either way, once Winnie reached him she would toss her body onto Mathias Pride's back. If she succeeded, she would grab at his hair. Probably not the best tactic to get him off of Ruka, but she was too angry to think properly. Perhaps this would allow time for her hero to retaliate. "GET YOUR DIRTY LIPS OFF OF HIM!"

The two mysterious boys were too far away for her to be able to seek them out, not while there was still a fray going on right next to her, and allowing herself to get distracted was not like her. While she longed to know if that were her lost friend, there were more pressing matters at hand, and if she could figure out who the other figure was, that meant she could hunt them both down later.Interacting| @Matthias Pride

A movement drew her eyes to an almost naked boy… Eyes scarred for life? A typical lanky boy, but she had not been expected it. Who desires to see someone almost naked at what was supposed to be a formal affair? Apparently, anything went. It would not go unnoticed that Matthias was making his way towards the group that Quinn was trying to help separate. No, not this time. They did not need anyone else in this fight, or it would become an all-out brawl.
A girl Santario did not know was screeching like a pterodactyl at Matthias, which did not precisely surprise her, but she noticed the girl started going for him like a determined left tackle, and Ruka was the quarterback. Perfect! Santario sidestepped Vladimir and Levied her wand on Matthias, trying to stop him before he got to the pile. “Immobulus!” If she could stop Matthias, then the strange Pterodactyl girl could tackle him. She had not been able to hit Erin Ryan, but perhaps Pride would not be as lucky and maybe for once, and Santario would not be so useless. What was the point of her duelling if that was the only place that she was good at? She joined duelling not to be good in it but to be good here… the other way around was unacceptable.

Mention: @Percival Gray, @Jack Burnett, @Mathias Pride, @Winnie Harper, @Santario Martin, @Opeila Winters & @Ruka Burnett-TânThis was the current state of things. His peers would rather assail him or prevent him from accomplishing his ends no matter how aligned they are with their own. This was the most literal example one could have of cutting off ones nose to spite their face. Why he did not aim around the boy standing in front of him was a mystery only the Gods would be able to explain. He cast flippendo and hit the foolhardy youth (Ruka) that stood defiantly between him, the like-faced boy behind him (Jack) and the demon-girl clad in a sheet (Erin) they both appeared dedicated to protecting as feeble meat-shields.Action: Attempting to pull Erin from the pile; if successful he is not relinquishing his grip.
A flippendo would send them back into the girl. Not particularly graceful but that was not the intention. Temporarily subdued under a mass of wizarding flesh, she would scrape free quickly and be the threat they so willfully ignored. They have the survival instinct of a pack of corgis. He thrust his wand into his pocket, there was an air of dissatisfaction that painted his angular features. The girls (Opeila & Santario) would call for a cease but peace was not an option. Finally, a voice of reason but a pair of voices that would come too late. Not that he trusted Opeila, he was disappointed in the evening he had with her, he knew beneath it all that there was a set-up but there was an interest. An interest he would learn to squelch. They were nothing but trouble, although if there was the option or opportunity for interest Santario would catch his eye.
No time to think about things like that. That was what got him into trouble before.
A girl (Winnie) clad in a ballgown that seemed a bit out of place was attempting to tackle his cousin. His cousin (Mathias) was trying to make out with one of the boys (Ruka) in the tangled pile. He let out a sigh, Mathias was not doing 'badly' considering his limitations. He just wished Mathias could have been more effective and less costly. The boys (Jack and Ruka) dropped everything as soon as the fray started and had only complicated matters. It could have been a simple task, peel the maddened girl off of Percival Gray and remove her from the event., An end to the drama. An end to a terrible liability that they seemed content to accept.
They, the anathema of youths before him, could struggle against an unseen and forgettable force. This had been going on for too long. He was not going to cast a spell into the dogpile, one error and a crowd that was already against him would have all the more reason. He would approach the wiggling mass of disappointment and resentment and attempt to grab hold of the girl (Erin). A bare, presumably shaved leg; a muscular, thin, bare arm; a head of blonde tresses; a violet bedsheet. All distinctly different from hooves and pants and shirts the others donned. None of them blonde also. He would pay attention to the fact that someone moved their arm or their leg in his path, he knew what the girl looked like and he was not an idiot.
He would attempt to PULL the girl from the pile, be it by an arm, a leg or even her hair. This had nothing to do with being cruel or kind; this had to do with a utility and opportunity that others would not allow him. "Get off of him and out," he growled.

Thinking he was done with the visiting students, having turned his attention away from them, dismissive of their presence, he didn’t realize at first that Cassie was still talking to him. Some sort of uttered threat that would fall on uninterested ears, without even a consequence. Just an ominous wish they were never born. Uninventive. Predictable. Boring. So he let her have her little rant, not even bothering to look at her, keeping his eyes fixed on the real trouble.
Erin was the pivotal problem here. Her presence - volatile felt like an understatement. If she had kept to ruining the decor he might have been able to continue to ignore the destruction she brought with her but her madness had swept others up into the mix and threatened to ruin everything. His lips thinned to an unhappy line as he watched Erin snarl and try to bite Quinn like some rabid animal.
"Too late. We're already in this mess now."
His eyes widened at the response then he huffed in irritation as he watched Ruka attempt to tackle the rabid Spider Queen. “Are you fucking serious?” He snapped, taking several steps toward the mess. Yet before he could get very far, the annoying foreigner returned, screaming at him like a bloody lunatic.
"YOU! ORGANISER! "YES, YOU!"
Kazuo’s eyes drifted back to the girl who had been uttering vague threats not a moment ago. Why on earth was she yelling? As she insisted that he announce to the Ball that there was Amortentia in the drinks he rolled his eyes. “Urusai. (Lit. ‘noisy’, negative connotation of ‘Shut up’).” He replied to her in an icy tone. “Mendokusai(Troublesome/bothersome). Go away. I have larger concerns here than a little amortentia in the punch.”
He returned his gaze to the dogpile in time to watch Matt lean over and… was he trying to kiss Ruka? “Oh hell no.” He uttered with a scowl, drawing his wand and pointing it at Matt. “Condimentum.” Kazuo announced, firmly visualizing a nearby punch bowl as his chosen ‘sauce’. Perhaps dousing the boy in ice-cold liquid would calm his kissing ways.

Now spells were being casted at the Spring Festival area of the Blossom Ball but in Simon's eyes he only saw some sparks of light here and there which added to the enchanted moment. How otherwise perfect could this get? Others mentioned there were better places to get married but they were unfortunately wrong. Here they were, on a night where everyone was dressed up, Haley couldn't look more beautiful, there was music and flowers, magical lights, snacks and refreshments. That wasn't even to mention the fact that Hogwarts was where he met Haley. No, it couldn't be more perfect.
"Marry for the law," he overheard a girl say that approached with Vivian. He looked over her way and by her blue dress he wondered if this was his quill pal, or as he called them, his quill companion, Sam. She said she would be wearing blue and while he said in a letter he'd save her a dance - that would have to wait until after the ceremony and after he first danced with his bride.
"I don't mind if it is only symbolic. Marriage can be stronger than the law. We can always wed now for love and do the official way down the line." He saw no complications here. And yes, they had the rings of her grandparents. He slipped his off and then smiled as he looked into Haley's eyes and slipped hers off. "We're not going to regret this, Viv. We would regret not doing it," he said to the blonde girl as he handed over the two rings. It was another way to sort of say 'look, we have everything.'
He knew he liked Vivian. This was a wonderful thing that she was ready to do for he and Haley and he would be forever grateful to him. Looked as if it was all going better than planned but then a brunette walked up to Haley, wanting her to explain the magnitude of marriage.
Destiny? An unyielding connection? The fact that he needed Haley Rose like he needed air within his lungs?
No, it wasn't something that needed to be said here and now. The act of knowing they were ready for this commitment now showed that magnitude.
"Haley," he told his bride and then looked to their officiant, "Vivian. Ready when you two are," and he looked down, taking Haley's hand in his own.
Time to get this wedding moving.

More and more people talked at the two of them, but nothing could change Haley's mind, and to her delight, Simon didn't change his mind as well. The two of them wanted to profess their undying love for each other, whether by law or only symbolically. Simon was right in his words and as she continued to look at him in love she nodded further in agreement. "No regrets." Haley agreed, confidence written all over her face. This was what she wanted, here and now.
When Haley saw Lavinia coming towards her, a wide smile formed on her lips. How nice that she had arrived just in time to witness this important moment in Haley's life. "Lavinia dear." She spoke in a dreamy voice and took her into a hug. "How good to see you." She held her by the shoulders for a moment and looked her up and down once, she was beautiful. "You look amazing." Haley spoke in awe. It was nice now to finally have someone around who wasn't trying to stop the wedding here and now and Haley's heart warmed knowing what a good friend Lavinia was.
"But dear, THIS is the perfect place. Just look how wonderful everything looks here. This is the place where we met and fell in love. There is no better place and no better time to do this. Look at us, we all look stunning." She looked at Simon in his green suit, matching her dress. It was like fate, everything fitting together perfectly. The universe was sending him a thousand signs, at least that's what Haley thought.
"You know, once you find your soulmate, you don't have to wait." Explained Haley to her, looking at her sadly for a brief moment. "You'll understand when you find yours." She smiled encouragingly at her and now turned to Simon and Vivian.
"Simon." One last amorous look before the ceremony would begin. She looked to Vivian and nodded at her. She was impatient, she wanted them to finally do it. They had a stunning location, they were beautifully dressed, they had rings and someone to perform the ceremony. There was no more time to waste.
She took his hand and grinned from ear to ear. It was the happiest day of her young life.

Marriage. Officiant. Tingling in excitement and proudness, Vivian felt like a grown-up. They both agreed that they wouldn’t regret this marriage and they both know this isn’t going to be registered. Being so touched by their love towards each other, she beamed at them, her eyes twinkling in excitement and admiration. But rings? They didn’t have one as Sam told, she shrugged and opened her mouth to tell them but stopped as soon as she saw Simon slipped the rings from both their fingers, her eyes widened You both had rings, already” she chuckled.
That’s when their marriage had been interrupted by a third year quidditch player, the blonde knows that much about the girl. Finally, the blonde came to know the name of the bride, it was Haley. The magnitude of marriage? What was that? The blonde didn’t know all that, but after talking to Simon and Haley, she knows one thing when you find your soul mate, your true love, you are ready to get married whenever you want. It was the bride’s and the groom’s decision. No one can stop this, other than them. They both are fully aware of what they’re doing, why did that quidditch player want to stop the marriage? Tho she didn’t say she wanted to stop this marriage, Vivian was able to understand that from her tone.
On hearing their love story, Vivian’s stomach filled with butterflies. Tears dripping down her cheeks, she wiped it away without anyone noticing as she took the last bite of her apple. SOULMATE And where was the blonde’s soulmate? Where is that one person? Tho if she finds that person, she wouldn’t want to get married this soon like them but she was able to understand them, to feel them, after all, it was their decision.
“okay let’s start the marriage” she started as she noticed the impatient look on Haley’s face.
Recollecting all her memories of marriages seen in movies and real life, she started slowly wishing not to stutter or stammer, “Dear... bride and groom” she glanced at Sam every now and then to make sure, she didn’t do any mistake, “What should I say next?” she furrowed her eyebrows looking at the three or four. “Let’s get to the point... Simon, I ask you: Have you come here, after careful consideration and of your own will...” she stopped to think, what was the word, “To tie the knot with your bride Haley”. If he replied, after his reply, she continued “ Haley I ask you: Have you come here after careful consideration and your own will to join your bridegroom in...” she laughed nervously as her face flushed, “What was that word?” She asked as she looked at Sam.

Simon didn't mind that they would just marry symbolic and they also already had rings. All of the problems Samantha had brought up had been put down, there seemed to be no problem for the two to get married.
An older girl joined the group and started to talk to Haley. Samantha had never spoke to the older girl and had no idea who she was. It seemed like the girl knew Haley and she made some good points. Hogwarts wasn't the best place to get married, but Haley though different about that.
Soulmates, Samantha didn't believe in them. But that didn't change the fact that she wanted to help Simon and Haley getting married, well really she wanted to support her friend. She had decided that she would support Vivian in the choose she would make, just like Vivian would support her.
Before the wedding started Samantha had a suggestion. "Maybe I can be your witness, like they also do in the movies? Maybe you," Samantha looked at Lavinia, because she had no idea what her name was. "Could also be a witness, if you would like of course."
When Vivian started to speak, she would sometimes look at Samantha. Whenever Vivian would look at her, Sam would smile or nod, signing she did it good, even though Samantha had no idea what good was. She had only been to 1 marriage in her entire life, but that was in the Netherlands, so she had no idea how people married here. When Vivian asked her for a word Samantha turned red, she had no idea. "Marriage?" the young girl suggested, since it seemed to fit in the sentence.Reducio(Free) action: talking to Vivian, Lavinia, Haley and Simon, and helping them get married.

Taking a gamble like this was risky, especially if it was an enraged Erin Ryan sitting on top of you. Although, as soon as he starting speaking in the familiar tongue she began to ease up. Her face still looked cold, but her expression was one of confusion. Maybe it was down to the fact that he wasn't aggressive or attacking her like the others, or possibly someone was being careful and playing their cards right with the estranged 5th year.
While Erin was thinking through what she just heard another familiar voice spoke up through the crowd. Opeila, for whatever reason she was actually somewhat taking his side. Percy looked over to her and slowly nodded, almost as if to say thanks for someone actually helping to calm things using their words rather than spells. Even though they weren't on good terms, he was happy she had the brains to do such a thing "You heard her..." he said openly before feeling the grip on his collar ease up
Percival glared at her cautiously, her mouth uttering a single word. The soon to be prefect didn't answer at first, but after a few tense seconds, his mouth would form a small smile in the corner of his lips "Because you-" was the only thing he could say before a bundle of bodies fell on top of him.
The pureblood grunted loudly and nonchalantly lay below the pile, his face scrunched from the pressure coming down onto his body "Oh, for the love of Merlin!" he growled up to them, as his hands reached up to unfruitfully try and push them off. He could feel Erin's face press into his chest while the two clumsy boys above them scrambled to get off "Did anyone hear what I bloody said?! NO MORE FIGHTING!" he shouted with authority this time, getting increasingly irritated by the people who thought they knew better. Percy looked over his right and saw an approaching Quinn, who soon made it his mission to undo the pileup. Soon after, another person came to "help"
Vlad seemed to be more forceful compared to the gentle giant and made it adamant he wanted the crazy girl out. However, when he tried to get a firm Percy managed to shoot his hand out from beneath and make a grab for his ankle, one that was tight and had a purpose "Vlad... Step away and let me deal with her" he said with venom in his voice, a hint of pain going through his tone as the pain in his back only got worse "Same goes for you, Quinn. If anyone lays a finger on her I'll be more than happy to them unusable for the rest of the night. No matter how big you are..." Percy coldly explains, his eyes stabbing into the two boys and anyone else who had similar ideas "Just give me a damn chance"

Percival looked towards Ileen before glancing ahead with a faint frown across his facial features. Small wisps of a room lit up by spotlights as a crowd roared hidden away by the never ending darkness. They had somewhat willingly attacked each other into the ground, and he had participated. Willingly. His fickle pride had reared its head at the worst of times. Hurting the one person he truly had considered a friend. It had been so easy to just let himself get lost in the red haze of anger. Though, to be fair in the moment he really hadn't considered Hanako a friend.
He quickly brought himself out of his thoughts giving her a grin. "Yes I guess you are right about that." he said with a small hum. "Though I find that others often have a reason behind their actions." he reasoned.
The boy was about to tell Ileen how eat by she was about him being even closely resembling a Gryffindor personality. Though, he found his words thoroughly snatched away from him. Percival felt a blush of embarrassment cross his cheeks at her teasing. "Well you threw paint first. All over my favorite shirt no less." he said with a small huff. He wasn't too sure if he remembered that fact correctly. Though, he was fairly certain he was correct about his statement. The boy would continue to feign upset before smiling at her.
Though a faint frown would cross his face as he debated on what to say to her last statement. The incident was still quite fresh in his mind. Instead he decided to look about the spring ball. Cherry Blossom petals floated around them peaking his interest. Raising his free hand he let one of the petals fall into his hand. "Look I caught one." he joked. Percival would let the petal fall from his fingertips onto the ground. His gaze took in the array of food and flower crowns that were displayed at the tables. "Oh I wish Hana were here. I'm sure he would have loved one." he said speaking his thoughts out loud unaware that he had done so. "So what did you want to do first? We could dance or get something to eat." he said with a smile to Ileen.
