Winnie smiled when Samantha Salwis answered her, and she nodded her head. "I can tell. You look like a pro ridin' around compared to the rest of us." She chuckled softly, and shook her head, "remind me to take a vacation the weekend you're planning on attackin' students. I'm not a powerful fighter or duelist, heh."

At the young Ravenclaw's response, Winnie nodded her head. She figured she was either Muggleborn or a Half-Blood, since no Pure Blood could ride around that well without at least some sort of Muggle influence. "Well, I'm a bit scared of heights, so I'd rather ride a bike as well. Too bad we can't keep 'em. They are far more practical for traveling short distances anyway. I can't just be flying all around the grounds just because I want to go to the lake and I'm a bit too lazy to walk." She grinned cheekily, pushing her feed down onto the peddles to ride around Samantha to quickly practice her steering skills.

"Ohh, a race?" Winnie was certain she would lose, especially against Samantha, but it did sound like fun, and she had yet to do her daily exercise so she could kill two birds with one stone. "I'd love to! Just take it easy on me, at least at first." She offered the brunette a playful wink. "Alright, where is the starting po-..."

She interrupted herself when she saw fellow first year Kage Suzuki bike up the ramp and then completely wipe out, "Merlin!" She gasped and then watched as the Gryffindor stood up and then tried again, only to crash once more and then go for a third and fourth time. "... Gryffindors are certainly fearless." She said, a bit taken back. If it had been her, she would have given up long ago. Winnie couldn't help but feel envious; she wished she had the guts to try something like that. She couldn't keep her eyes off of her, watching as she pedaled her way to a new area and attempt a bike jump.

She turned to Samantha, still in shock from the display. She cleared her throat and straightened her posture. "Should we... Go see if she's okay?" She asked with a mixed expression on her face, both concerned and impressed by her classmate.

What was the moral story of her last action? Never try to fool the Slytherins. Those cunning folks have functional brains to not jump into a rabbit hole. Sure, she could do that again for fun. Better luck next time. If there were just two of them on the quidditch pitch, perhaps it might work. It was time for Aurora to find some silly and obviously non-believable excuses. “No, they are right, but this one is better for beginners.” As if that would work, but at least she put some effort into it.

Looking through her history of making others fell into her traps, the Ravenclaw should know it was pretty much useless to do it all over again since everything backfired right on her face. Here are some examples, the burning feather incident in Charm class with a Gryffindor named Everly Forever and Ever, what did Aurora get from that? A bloody asthma attack. Without any blood, of course. And the evil blob food thing in the great hall with a Hufflepuff named Kenna. The young eagle tried to trick the redheaded badger into eating the scary looking food, and she ended up embarrassing herself by making some not so beautiful trumpet sounds. It wasn’t from any musical instrument. Even though her grades are outstanding, she will most likely be a straight troll student in mischievous activities.

Being a persistent kid, if failing at something, she will try a hundred times harder if necessary. And this will surely not be her last little prank experiment. But now, she will receive another payback. It was rather conspicuous that Henry knew one or two things about bike and purposefully tried to get the dirt to her. She covered her face a little too hard, let out a little shriek, almost sounded like a rat, and followed by a cough. How nice of you asking whether or not she was okay, Henry? Next time, don’t ask and just shove a bunch of dirt right in her mouth.

Panic expression painted all over Aurora’s face, “I think I just-“, her eyebrows furrowed together, “-swallowed something.” After a couple of seconds, her expression turned into confusion. She kept moving her mouth and tried to pinpoint the unknown object that she just let into her digestive system. “But I taste a hint of blood. Am I bleeding?” As she was speaking, the Slytherin boy probably could see that there was something present before but wasn’t there anymore. Her upper cuspid tooth was gone.

It seemed like Aurora finally realized her missing canine as well. “Oh, my teeth just fell off and I swallowed it” She made her voice gradually became lower in volume, especially when she said those last three words. Eyes wandered around the pitch except Henry's direction. Hopefully, the little fight in the background will be a good distraction for Henry to notice her now incomplete set of teeth. But, her next 'whisper-scream' will make him easy enough to notice what just happened to her "Would love to help you but what about my tooth? AM I GOING TO GROW A TEETH TREE ON TOP OF MY HEAD!?

"I'll warn you, as long as you don't tell anybody else!" She tried to look serious, but Sam failed horribly and joined Winnie who was already giggling.

Winnie's reply to Samantha's offer of a race was interrupted when an other participant fell on the ground, multiple times, only to get back up and fall again. "Fearless, yes, defiantly. But smart I don't know." When the Gryffendor fell for the fourth or fifth time Samantha couldn't watch anymore and was more than happy to go into Winnie's proposal to see if Kage was okay.

"The race can wait, it looks like somebody needs our help." The young Raven placed her foot on the pedal: "And we happen to be the "Ravenclaw task force of helpers", so we should go there."

While riding Samantha took a moment to look around. A lot of students were biking, or attempting to bike. She noticed a group of students from whom she recognized a few: a red haired boy, Ruka, and his friend, Kazuo, with who she had made some flower crowns earlier that month. If one of the two would look up, they would see the brunette wave at them.

Looking around further Samantha noticed a fellow short Ravenclaw, Aurora, who seemed to be talking to Henry. The young girl had met Henry at the same time she had met Ruka and Kazuo, apparently people who like to make flower crowns also liked to bike.

When Samantha arrived at Kage she got of her bike and said: "Ravenclaw task force of helpers here, do you need any help?" "I saw you fell a lot of times, or do you just like to hug the grass?"

Kage Suzuki stood back to observe the bycicle. Brakes connected to the back- but of course brakes and wheels wouldn't be of much help in the air. Otherwise, the bycicle appeared to be quite balanced, as the seat was almost perfectly in the middle.

Hm.

But how to avoid crashing?

She saw that the best thing to do was to land with both wheels at the same time- maybe the front a second or two before the back wheels- like how horses did. But have the angle more than fifteen degrees, you flip over. Same with the back end.

Suzuki was just contemplating her life decisions this when some blue eyed brunette came over.

"Ravenclaw task force of helpers here, do you need any help? I saw you fell a lot of times, or do you just like to hug the grass?"

Squinting past the girl at some unexistant object, she thought about whether or not it was possible to avoid conversation all together when she spoke.

" Tch. Trial and error. I'm fine." A slight pause. " Thanks," she added, unconvincingly so.

Just from observing some other tottering around on bikes, she could tell it was probably best to stand up on the bike while jumping- perhaps that'd work?

It would probably help with preventing a wedgie, or some other uncomfortable situation.

Why not. Suzuki picked up her bike, and rode back a ways to the ramp. She gathered speed (hesitantly), and this time, just before becoming slightly airborne, stood up on the bike. Noticing how her bike was tilting too forwards, righted again, and landed lopsidedly on the grass. The bike toppled, and fell, Suzuki jumping off right before it did.

By no means perfect, but certainly better than last time.

Pity she didn't have a camera recorder or something. Then she could see where she'd done wrong.

Henry nodded to her argument that there were two ways to learn how to ride a bicycle, the young teen consider himself lucky that he read a book on bikes before and would be getting some mischievous payback on her soon.

The boy wasn't putting much strength into kicking the dirt, he mainly did ad a joke but was worried when he got off the bike and asked the girl if she was alright that was when he heard her reply.

The young teen understood her words, swallowing something and blood but he was determined to help her. First step was try to have her remain calm as he spoke" uh it looks like your tooth is missing but try to stay calm, take deep breaths. You'll he alright," the second year would keep his eyes on her taking deep breaths himself a minute or two hoping that she would join him.

No matter if she did or didn't, the second year would hear her next words and give her a small supportive smile as he spoke softly, " was that your deciduous tooth Aurora?" Henry didn't know a lot about teeth but he did know a few facts, like the deciduous or baby teeth were a person's first set of teeth then a permanent or adult set grew back.

The boy was took back by the Ravenclaw's whispered scream but didn't panic, he was determined to stay calm for her as he spoke softly" you won't grow a tooth tree on your head Aurora, you'll be completely fine I promise," the teen then thought of a way to help relax her or at least he hoped as he spoke" and if I'm not then I give you my full permission to bonked me on the head again."

Henry would smile softly toward the girl truly wanting to help her, as he heard the noise from others around them but didn't dare look since his main focused was on Aurora. The boy was determined to help her and perhaps form a friendship with her because she seemed rather cool and mischievous and smart and even pretty according to the young teen to be friends with.

Amelia turned towards the sound of someone ringing a bell to find the Ravenclaw prefect who was hosting the errand had just pulled up beside her. She smiled, "Hi Dee, I'm Amelia. I'm sorry, I'll get back on my bike now. Watching people fall off is highly entertaining though, you have to admit that. But I guess riding the bike will be even more entertaining," she said whilst turning towards her bike, which was lying on the grass, she lifted it back up and swung her leg over it, putting her left foot in the pedal but her right still firmly placed on the ground. "Thanks! Your bike is nice too," she replied almost automatically after Dee had complimented her bike, but once she looked at Dee's bike she realized something, there bikes were almost identical, with the flowery pattern and the color, except Amelia's was a brighter color than Dee's. "Wait," she laughed, "Oh my God. That is so weird, we basically picked the same bike. I promise I'm not like a weird, crazy, obsessed stalker."

"It was nice meeting you, Dee, but I think I'm going to try out that obstacle course over there," she gestured in the direction of the obstacle course that was set up. She said a final goodbye to the Ravenclaw prefect and put her right foot in the pedal, pedaling over to the obstacle course. The obstacle course took up around a third of the pitch, and Amelia could see various different obstacles to beat. There were some poles to swerve through, a ramp if you were feeling a bit rebellious, and a few slopes.

Amelia went towards the poles first, deciding to start easy rather than going for the ramp and making a complete fool of herself. She started swerving through the poles, thankfully not hitting any of them. She was occupied with the poles for a couple of minutes before she heard a crash and a thud. She turned towards the noise and saw a girl she didn't recognize try and fail to get across the ramp. She watched the girl attempt it four times, around the time Amelia was starting to suspect this girl was absolutely insane or had a death wish, two other girls walked over to her. Amelia couldn't catch what they were saying, but the girl turned and attempted the ramp yet again. It was better than last time, Amelia had to admit that.

Deciding that she wanted in on the fun, Amelia pedaled over to the three girls, "Hi! So, I was just... observing, let's say, your lovely attempts at trying to get over that ramp. So me being me, I just couldn't miss out on the fun and I had to join in. Would you guys mind if I joined?" She left the question hanging in the air, if they said no, she would leave, but she was silently hoping that they'd say yes.

Winnie raised a brow at Samantha Salwis' comment and couldn't help the giggle that bubbled up from her throat. Her comedic comments were helping the young Ravenclaw to feel more at ease, and she wondered why the two of them hadn't spoken like this before. Ah well, there was always the future. "I'm sure she's smart, probably just determined. I mean, we all fall off our bikes tryin' to learn how to ride, if she's trying to learn a trick... Well... It makes sense she'd fall a few times." Winnie wasn't one to judge anyway; despite being placed in Ravenclaw, she definitely wasn't the brightest tool in the shed. "Even some of the older students have been falling." Winnie glanced over to Ruka Burnett-Tân, whom she had seen crash earlier, and his friend group.

She joined the brunette and pedaled her bike over to check up on the first year Gryffindor. She felt her cheeks heat up at the mention of their task force, maybe it was silly, but hey... Helping people was always nice, right? She cleared her throat when they reached Kage Suzuki and offered her a smile. "Fair enough. Practice makes perfect, but do you mind if we watch you practice?" That way they could help if she ended up getting hurt. Regardless of her answer, Winnie watched the next attempt and nodded her head approvingly. She was getting better.

She was so caught up in watching the display, she almost jumped when Amelia Faye biked over. "Oh! Of course." She blinked over at the Hufflepuff. She recognized her from a few classes they attended together. "I mean, if it's fine with these two. If not, we can always go find some of those chocolate frogs." She suggested with a cheeky smile and a playful wink. "You're pretty good at biking, are you a half-blood or muggle born as well?" She asked curiously, her head tilting to the side.

Apparently Jack had arrived before Kazuo because when he finally made his presence known, it was whizzing around on a bike like a pro. Was Kazuo mildly irritated by his obviously superior skill? Maybe. Was Kazuo irritated by the mispronunciation of his name? Only because there were other students around. Was Kazuo horrified by the sight of Jack heading directly for Ileen? Definitely. Why did he have to head straight for the one person Kazuo wanted to avoid? Well, it would hardly do to reveal his growing irritation if he was forced to tolerate the Dishonorable Knight’s presence. He fixed Jack with a smile that was too-friendly, almost mocking in it’s brightness. “Ha ha so funny. Maybe you should give up wizarding and become a comedian.” He retorted.

Since Jack was already on his way over to Ileen, there would be no asking him for advice. He would simply have to try to make his way over on his own. Somehow. Without falling. Not hard at all. Piece of cake. As he once again set one foot against a pedal, Jake whizzed by and his smile faltered a bit. Jake was obviously very familiar with the workings of bicycles with the way he flew past, calling to them as he circled. “Ohayo Jake! You look like you’re having fun!” He replied with a rare genuine smile for his dorm mate as Jake made his way over to Ruka, giving both of them a wave. He couldn’t delay forever, standing awkwardly as he was. It would be as much an admission of his inexperience as any attempt to ride he made.

The second foot came off the ground, finding the pedal and pushing as he gripped the handlebars a bit too tightly. The bike wobbled forward a bit, the wheel weaving first one way then the next as he overcompensated for its motion. It wasn’t a terrible start… until a certain Devil Queen decided to meddle. As he was starting to pick up a bit more speed, he was hit quite solidly with a damn Sneezing Hex. As he was overtaken by the urge to sneeze, it was inevitable that he would lose the very precarious balance he had managed to maintain. His head jerked forward as he sneezed, the bike veered, wobbled and went over, sneezing rider and all. Thankfully he hadn’t been going very fast at all so the fall hadn’t really hurt much but Ileen’s uncalled for sabotage burned. He lay there, staring up at the sky, considering just staying right where he was. He’d put in the effort. There was no reason to inflict upon himself further humiliation, was there? He could just lay here in the grass and daydream about less humiliating experiences.

The ringing of Ruka’s bell drew him out of his own sullen thoughts. Followed by the most annoying voice in the universe, using a name she was not permitted to use. He sat up, sliding out from under the bike, then stood and turned a look on Ileen that was somewhere between a sneer and a smirk. His nose turned up a bit in disdain and his eyes narrowed. Kisama. Damatte kudasai. (You (derogatory). Please shut up.) He spoke to Ileen knowing full well she wouldn’t understand him but his tone should be more than enough to convey his disgust. “How unsurprising that you have nothing better to do with your time than to cause trouble for others.”

Unfortunately the people he would have liked to enjoy this awful errand with were now all gathered around the Devil Queen. He had no choice but to tolerate her existence if he wanted to spend time with his friends. Leaving was no longer an option so he simply cloaked his irritation in a mask of superiority as he picked up his bike and chose to walk it over to where the rest of them had gathered. “What are you even doing? Hoping Dee will give you House Points for sitting on your lazy ass just because you’re friends?” He asked pointedly, noting her lack of bike. Without waiting for an answer he turned to give Jack, Jake and Ruka a smile.

“Well, Burnett. You seem more than comfortable on a bike. Care to share your infinite wisdom?”

Confused, embarrassed, but also amused at the same time. She knew sooner or later one of her fang-like tooth will fall off, but not down her throat. Henry’s concerned reaction did not help the situation at all. Instead, he added the feeling of nervousness to Aurora, never in her life she felt someone staring at her intensely other than her angry mother when she did something stupid. Then the Slytherin ask something in gibberish language, it was gibberish according to Aurora because she had no idea what that was. “Decidu- what?” Her right hand covered her mouth, so Henry will stop looking at her incomplete set of teeth. “If you’re asking what kind of tooth that I just ate, it’s the baby vampire tooth one”.

If it was not because of the tooth shenanigan, her poor lavender bike would not be abandoned on the ground, lying there looking very sad. “What a lying stepdad, you won’t believe what he said.” She bent down and reached for the bike with her left hand, the other one still covered her mouth. “His grandmother planted her own tooth in her backyard or something, then it grew out to be this tree full of teeth-“ The bike was not being cooperative at that time. The Ravenclaw was not doing so well at holding the bike with her left hand only. Of course, the boy’s steady gaze played the most part in her failure, though, she will deny that. “-He said his gran-gran used those teeth as her fake teeth business start-up.” A tad of frustration made Aurora removed her right hand from her mouth and used it to hold both bike handles. “So I figured if I ate it, the tree would be on my head instead.” Anyone with functional eyes could see her face flushed as if she wore a hundred layers of blush. Eyes wandered on the ground, fingers awkwardly tapped the bike handle, “And y- yes, a bonk sounds nice.”

Aurora moved her left foot back and forth, pretending to play with the dirt even though nothing was exciting about it. She was unsure if it was an uncomfortable feeling or because a rather good-looking Slytherin attempted to burn her with a stare, Aurora felt the urge to run away from the pitch, but her legs refused to do so. “St- stop looking at me! And let’s- uh- practice your cy- cling uh- biking skill.” She turned around hastily, almost stepping on her own feet, then she muttered something to herself, “Ugh, first, no date and now no teeth for the ball.”

"Yes, I rather watch then do it myself," Samantha wasn't somebody who like to do dangerous things, before she did something she always though twice. She only did things if she knew that the risks were worth it.

Samantha never knew when somebody didn't want to talk, so it came as a surprise to her when Suzuki picked up her bike to try again, instead of staying with the girls to talk. "Please don't break anything!" the brunette yelled before the Gryffendor attempted the jump again.

A girl pedaled over to the group of girls, she had brown hair with dyed tips. "Like Winnie said, I always say the more the merrier," Samantha smiled to the girl."If you guys are going to look for the chocolate frogs, I'm going with you. You can't get rid of me that easy." She grinned, she loved chocolate frogs, well she loved any kind of candy. The fact that they would get some chocolate frogs at the end of the errand was an extra reason for the young girl to join. Even if she wouldn't get any frogs, she still loved biking and would have joined anyway.

Even though Samantha loved talking, she loved biking even more and she couldn't get the idea of a race out of her head. Winnie had already wanted to race, so the only thing left to do was ask the other girl(s) girls for when Kage Suzuki joined them again after her jump and girl if Kage didn't.

When the conversation came to a hold she said: "Do you want to race? We can just do it for fun," Samantha said it was for fun, but she would try her hardest to win, since she didn't want the others to think she was slow. She had lots of experience biking and wasn't planning on losing from anybody with less experience, or just losing from anybody. It wasn't that she was a bad loser, she just liked to win and be the best.
