Keeping an eye out for anybody who might be able to help him out, Ruka's eyes quickly fell on a few familiar faces. He could recognise a girl who had joined him when he was making flower crowns for himself, Jack and Dealla. She seemed to know what she was doing when it came to riding a bike, but she was also busy talking to the errand host, so Ruka kept looking. His eyes fell on Ileen, standing by herself and for a moment he was tempted to go over and talk to her, but before he could he heard the sound of a familiar voice not too far away.
His brother had picked a bike for himself and it occurred to Ruka that he knew how to ride one. A pang of regret hit him at the missed opportunity of asking Jack to teach him over the summer, or even Christmas break.
Whatever, it wasn't like Ruka had ever actually had any urge to use a bike in his life. Wheels were for other people.
Curiously he observed as Jack waved someone over, and he followed the gesture with his eyes until they landed on Kazuo. He was sat on his bike but seemed to have about as much of an idea how to get it to move and follow orders as Ruka did himself. Well, maybe Ruka could mingle with them, listen in on some tips and tricks from his brother before attempting to use his own bike again.
The sound of a bicycle bell drew his attention to another familiar face zooming across the pitch. Jake, it seemed, had no issues riding a bike whatsoever. He was quick and steady, drove circles around people with an expression like he was having the most fun he had had in months. Ruka found himself envious for a moment; He wished he knew how to make fun out of a heap of plastic and metal that was out to crush his limbs.
He watched in awe as Jake confidently came to a halt and put his foot on the ground to steady himself. "You're good at that," he commented, clearly impressed by Jake's level of skill. Tilting his head to the side, Ruka mustered the little badger in front of him, wondering if he had at all noticed the hole in the front of Ruka's jeans or the various oil and grass stains he had gotten from falling over earlier on. With how excitedly he asked for him to join in on riding the bike, Ruka guessed no.
"I think mine's broken," he said weakly, lifting a hand to run it through his dishevelled hair. "It won't stay upright." He sighed and bent down to pick his bike back up again, holding it steady as he swung his leg over it again, pushing up onto the tips of his toes to shuffle onto the seat.
At Jake's words, his gaze drifted to the little group of Ileen, Kazuo and Jack, and he gave them all an enthusiastic wave before using his feet to push himself further in their direction. He didn't get very far before the bike started wobbling and he slid off the seat to plant his feet firmly on the ground again. "Devil's steed," he announced with conviction before turning to face Jake again. "How do you make it look so easy? Is there a spell to it?" Realistically he knew there wasn't - This was a very Muggle thing to do which was probably why a Pureblood like Kazuo looked about as lost on a bike as Ruka himself did as well.
Sighing he looked back at the trio and rang the bell on his bike a couple of times, humming in delight at the sound of it. "Ileen," he greeted brightly, accompanying her name with another ring of the bell. "Haven't seen you around in a while." He bowed his head in her direction, a grin on his face. If he hadn't been trying to hold his bike steady he would have sunk into a theatrical curtsy. "Kaz, you really look like you know what you're doing, too." He chuckled as he looked at Kazuo, ringing his bell again to sound along with his words. Lastly he turned to look at Jack to brotherly greet him by sticking his tongue out at him and ringing his bike bell a few times in a row for maximum pest behaviour.
With that done, he refocused on Jake with a pleading look on his face. "Think you could show me how to get this thing to listen to me?" he rang the bell one more time, then kicked one of the bike pedals with the tip of his shoe, finding childish delight in the way it started twirling around its own axe for a moment. If he ended up not being able to figure out how to ride it, then at least his bike consisted of enough parts to stare at with fascination for the remainder of the errand.

It didn't take long until the Quidditch pitch started filling up with students on bikes, although there was still plenty space that there was no immediate danger of accidents, even if someone didn't manage to steer their bike properly. Dee greeted every student with a warm smile and a wave, and a few words to those that chose to approach her personally.
Lily Cooper, a first year from Ravenclaw who she'd seen around the common room a few times, received a nod and a slightly mischievous grin in return for her words. "Glad you think so!" Dee replied brightly. "And yeah, that's what I'm counting on, honestly." There were already a few students around obviously struggling a little - although Lily didn't seem to be one of those, Dee noted as she watched the girl ride away. Even more, when her eyes caught on the redhead again a while later, the girl was doing tricks on her bike, and Dee's eyebrows rose, slightly impressed. The prefect could ride a bike just fine, and had plenty experience doing silly things like riding without her hands on the handle, but that was the extent of her skills.
There was also a rush of familiar faces among the arrivals. Ileen received a grin and a wave upon arrival, and she spotted Ruka's red hair among the group actually listening to her introduction, so he got a bright smile as well. She'd go talk to him and see if he needed help later, but would leave him to familiarise himself with his bike for now, although she winced slightly when he became closer acquainted with the ground instead. Didn't stop her from giggling at his misfortune, either, though. Either way, Jake Morris, who had also located the small pile of bike helmets next to the bikes themselves, seemed to be coming to his rescue shortly after.
Instead, she paused near the edge of the field, settling her feet on the ground and turning to observe how the other kids were doing.
Noticing a very similar face to Ruka's but a slightly different shade of red on top of it, Dee realised she'd somehow missed Jack Burnett's arrival. While she'd grown rapidly closer to his adoptive brother, Jack remained more of a friendly acquaintance, but still a welcome face, and she gave him a smile, too, not noticing that he didn't seem all that pleased to see her. He also appeared to be talking to... Kazuo? Dee frowned. She hadn't been aware those two knew each other. Honestly, she actually wasn't aware of any of her ball date's friends, except that he was part of the Mystical Creatures club and knew Hanako. Huh. Maybe she should fix that before the ball. Either way, Jack seemed competent enough on his bike, and if he was around to help Kazuo, those two didn't really need her attention.
Which was good, as she was then approached by another young Ravenclaw (Samantha Salwis) - and a great many questions. It wasn't easy to be more enthusiastic and talkative than Dee, but this girl managed just fine, and Dee's expression turned amused. "Hi! Glad to hear it. Samantha, right?" She thought that was the girl's name, but given that they'd never spoken privately, she wasn't entirely sure. "You're welcome to keep an eye out for people who need help! I'd be grateful for it, honestly, I can't be everywhere. Also maybe just approach people who seem lost or lonely?" Errands were a great way to meet new friends, but not quite as great for those too shy to approach anyone themselves. "Sorry, but I think you can't keep the bike. I'm honestly not too sure where Professor Wade got them from, but they will be returned after. Also, someone would probably have my head if there were students riding bikes around hallways after this errand." Dee grinned, the prospect obviously not really frightening her despite her words. If it came to it, she would just hunt them down and push them off their bikes.
Another Ravenclaw (Winnie Harper) stepped down from the stands and onto the pitch, and Dee couldn't help but be slightly proud of the high participation from her House. Dee waved at her, and called over, "Hi! Welcome! Go get yourself a bike and join us!" After all, the chocolate frogs were for actually riding the bikes. Or at least attempting to.
Grinning brightly at both her and Samantha, Dee noted, "Looks like I'm getting a small Ravenclaw task force of helpers. Keep your eyes open, and at the right moment, swoop in and attack! I mean, help. Not attack. Or, you know, just have fun. Or challenge someone to a race." Honestly, considering this was a rather large group of young students, there were surprisingly few shenanigans going on.
Among the less familiar faces around was also a young Hufflepuff girl (Amelia Faye), with a bike that was amusingly similar to the one Dee had picked for herself. A sign of great taste, obviously. She also seemed to be finding more entertainment in people watching than riding the bike herself, and Dee snorted in amusement. It was one thing for her to watch people suffer struggle, but the participants were here to get some exercise. Those rewards needed to be worked for. Placing her feet back onto the pedals, Dee made her way over to the girl, ringing the bell on her bike and then stopping next to her with an amused twist to her lips. "Hi there, I'm Dee! Do me a favour and at least bike a little more while you watch, yeah? So I can justify rewarding you later? Nice bike, by the way."

When Dealla Prince greeted her, Winnie instantly felt more at ease. The girl seemed very friendly and she could understand why she was a prefect. She straightened her posture and smiled back at her, pushing her pigtail plaits out of her face. "Thank you, I'm glad to be representing' our house." She winked playfully, who said Ravenclaws weren't as helpful and friendly as Hufflepuffs?
She fixed her light blue eyes on Samantha Salwis, whom she recognized from her own dorm room. "Hello. I think I've seen you around, but I don't know if we've 'ver properly met. I'm Winnie Harper." She glanced down at her bike and then back up at Samantha, "You've ridden before, I take it? Did you have a Muggle parent too?" She could feel her curiousity rising, her eyes growing wide with excitement. "My Mum is a Muggle and my Dad is a Muggle lover, so we always took bike rides on the weekends. It's been a while, though. Hopefully that saying is true." She nervously picked out a bike helmet and secured it to her head.
She walked over to where the bikes were kept, and picked out the first one that caught her eye, which was painted a soft pastel pink, perfect for the springtime. It also reminded her of the bike her parents had given her when she turned five years old. She slid out of her cloak, so it wouldn't catch on the wheel, folded it, and tucked it carefully into her bag. Then she swung her leg over the bike and took a seat, her legs stretching out to find the pedals. She begin to ride around, a bit wobbly at first given how long it had been, but she quickly got into the beat of things and cycled her way back to both Dealla and Samantha. "I guess the sayin' is a sayin' for a reason." She commented with a chuckle.

Bike in Hogwarts, who would have thought there would be a day where students could ride a bike in the quidditch pitch. After not coming home for almost a year, Aurora missed riding a bike around town with her muggle best friend. When she heard one of the Ravenclaw prefects would do a bike riding day, the Ravenclaw wrote the date in her sketchbook and drew a red circle around it to remind herself that on May 21, she should wake up early and run to the pitch. Aurora thought the idea of quidditch and bike combined was a little bit funny, she wondered what if instead of brooms, quidditch players ride flying bikes instead. It would make sense how they would control the speed and all that, plus, it has a saddle. Unlike broom that is highly uncomfortable. Did anyone ever think of adding a comfy squishy saddle to brooms? Perhaps it will make a good profit for Aurora to sell squishy pillow for brooms in the future. She will totally add a little cushion on her broom for future quidditch match just for fun and comfort purposes.
Aurora wore a black shirt with a grey sweatpants, plus five hair pins that said 'This', 'Is', 'My', 'Happy', 'Face'. Arriving at the pitch, she was greeted by some familiar faces. As if her huge hairpins were not enough to tell people that she was indeed a happy and friendly kid, Aurora put on her biggest smile and waved at some people she met at the Aspirant Animagi club. She wasn’t too good at remembering names and much better at faces, that Japanese guy’s name is Shi- Shimoto (Shimada) and the Brunette (Burnett) brothers. The friendly smile on her face might not look too friendly with her leaking terrible aura. At least her intention was good.
Bikes lined up on the side of the pitch with striking colours. Aurora silently praised the wizarding gods for leaving the lavender one unattended. She smiled and waved at the Ravenclaw prefect as her feet moved closer to the bike stands. Hopefully, she would not think that what Aurora did was weird since they both did not know each other. She knew the prefect last name, Pince, was it? Or Prince? Princess? It must be one of those three, but overall, the prefect seemed warm and very welcoming. It was very amusing to see some of the students, presumably, those who grew up in the wizarding community, were struggling to ride the bike. They must have thought that a bike is a peculiar object from another planet or something, like muggles’ reaction to the flying saucer. She let out a soft chuckle, then got on her bike and rode it with a ‘This is how you do it, folks’ attitude.

Bicycles a transportation method for children mainly was at Hogwarts on the quidditch pitch.
The ravenclaw prefect set up a bicycle riding area for the day because apparently it was national bike day. Henry thought it about not going and he would have probably found a spot in the library with his orange feline; Loki or maybe found his best friend; Logan Baird and hung out with her that day but something about learning how to ride something that he read and knew about seemed kind of cool.
Henry Knight read about bicycles and knew the theory and history behind them but didn't technically know how to ride them. When he was younger there wasn't anyone to teach the boy besides his books and his twin found it better to teach herself how to ride which include a lot of falling something that scared Henry away.
Now that Henry was thirteen and had a large group of friends, not to mention will be moving again after his father marries that summer the teen figured that learning how to ride could be useful. He could probably get his brother to get him a bike and then he could ride it around his new home or to a local bookstore.
Henry still didn't enjoy physical activities, finding them to be a weak area for him and more than often they led to him embarrassing himself but he still decided to take a breath head head out to the pitch that day.
The second year wore a pain pair of jeans, a old sweatshirt that was his brothers, his rusted sun pendant which laid hidden underneath his sweatshirt, and he also had his wand tucked away in his back jean pocket not thinking much about it. The teen decided to leave his orange feline in his dormitory for his safety because he dreaded the thought of Loki getting hurt but also for others safety since he could imagine the cat doing something that caused someone to crash or something.
The young teen would take a casual walk from the slytherin common to the quidditch pitch where he would find it to be actually a nice day out since it wasn't too hot and there was a nice breeze. The boy would see the pile of different types of bikes as well as the ravenclaw prefect who set it up, turns out she was the dueling captain that always gave him a funny look like he did something wrong to her but the boy couldn't figure it out well if you don't count their encounter in the Trial Of Fear second task.
Henry would offer her a smile and a small wave before going over to the bikes, there were training wheels also something the boy read about but decided not to grab since he didn't want to leave helpless or incapable of riding a bike or anything.
The teen would choose a red color bicycle that looked to be a bit to small next to the tall boy. He would guide it away from the large group which made Henry wish he asked some of his friends to join him that day, he started to imagine what if might have been like if his friends were there with him.
Scarlett would have found a way to cause mischief for sure and mainly everyone would have laughed and Rose would have might of took this seriously. Probably wanting to ride perfectly but also have fun no doubt and if Logan came then we would have had a brilliant time!
Having fun and cracking jokes and riding together or learning to ride! Maybe we could ride around Scotland this summer? I'm going to ask...
I wish I ask someone to come with me then maybe I wouldn't be by myself or lonely or struggling with how to ride alone...
Henry would walk through the pitch to a empty spot when he spotted the blonde hair hufflepuff known as Jake Morris and would give him a small wave accompanied with a smile as he greeted him, " Hey mate," before continuing past since Jake was already in a group.
The teen would reach his spot and stare at it for a moment unsure with how to mount it. He would throw his leg over it and sit down on the seat, carefully putting his feet on the pedals when he felt unbalanced and wobbled awkwardly.
The teen would start to pedal fast while also trying to keep the handlebars straight but would tilt a bit too far and far off, the teen would scramble back to his feet and dust himself off hoping no one saw him.
The teen was struggling and needed help for sure when he saw a familiar face, well sort of familiar riding past on a lavender bike.
Aurora Ranvier; seeker for the ravenclaw team and played on the opposite team of him during the scrimmage. She hit him on the head after the scrimmage with a beaters bat but didn't hold any grudges strangely. Instead the teen saw her as incredibly strong with a amazing personality, even through it seems there was some odd presence around her that didn't frighten Henry off but instead interested him. Plus he thought she was brilliantly intelligent to and in his favorite house at Hogwarts, ravenclaw, and even was sort of pretty in his opinion.
She also knew what she was doing on a bike.
The teen wild lift the bike up and guide it over to her as he smile a little before speaking softly" Hello," the teen wasn't sure if she remembered him so he would say" I'm Henry, your Aurora right? We were both in the quidditch scrimmage a while back."
The boy would take a step back before giving her a small smile as he spoke" your on the ravenclaw team right? You are a brilliant seeker," the boy would down a bit before back up as he asked" I saw you were riding really brilliantly and thought maybe you could help me?"

Hex code (for languages other than English):
#FF8C00 ~ DutchA big grin appeared on the girls face, the Ravenclaw prefect knew her name. Of course she knew Dealla's name, since she was a prefect, but it wasn't common that prefects also knew the students' names. Especially because the two had never really talked, of course Sam had seen the older girl in the common room and around the castle, but they had never talked. The young girl straightened her back so she would look taller, not that it really helped, she still was extremely small: "Yes, I'm Samantha."
The brunette nodded at the words of Dee, "lost and lonely people, I can do that." A bit disappointed at the answer about the bike, Samantha answered: "Yes, of course, makes sense, she putted a smile on her face. "I didn't really though I could keep one, but you know, I though I could give it a try. Like my dad always says: "niet geschoten is altijd mis". Which means something like: if you don't take the shot you will always miss, but then in Dutch of course."
Once you got Samantha talking she was hard to stop, mostly because she never noticed when others weren't up for a conversation and she had just a lot of things to say. The young raven only stopped talking when Winnie joined them.
Sam liked the idea of a Ravenclaw task force of helpers, it had a nice sound to it. Samantha giggled at the slip of the tongue of Dee. "We can't attack other students? What a shame, now I have to cancel my weekend plans."
"Hi, I also don't think we have, of course I've seen you around, but we haven't really talked. I'm Samantha." Samantha's smile grew when the other girl asked if she had ridden before. "Yes, I love to bike! I bike a lot with my father, when I am of course."
"Well, actually, both of my parents are muggles," The brunette was proud telling about her muggle parents, she wasn't ashamed of it, like she was in the beginning of the year. So I know much better how to ride a bike, then fly on a broom. What about you?"
After Winnie had grabbed a helmet and secured it to her head, Samantha followed her to the bikes. When the read head took the bike for a spin Samantha waited for her to come back. At first the girl seemed to have trouble in the beginning, but quickly Winnie started to cycle like she had never stopped.
When Winnie joined Samantha again she asked: "Do you want to race with me? Or we can just bike around seeing if anybody needs help and talk."ReducioSam's outfit (without the bag and belt):

Riding a bike was indeed a relaxing experience for the young Ravenclaw. If only muggle technology works in Hogwarts, it would make it much better if she could bring her phone and listen to some of her favourite and new songs that Naomi told her over the owls. Both Aurora’s ears and soul need some blessing from Taylor Swift. Quietly, she hummed a random tune as she continued to push the pedals with her feet. Then she heard a voice that said ‘hello’ to her. Was she hallucinating? For a second, she thought she finally gained the ability to talk to invisible creatures. She abruptly put her feet on the ground and hit the brake on the steering handle. To her disappointment, it was not any spirit or ghost, it was a boy who she met a couple of times but never really have a one on one conversation. Not that she disliked the boy, she has no reason to, especially when she doesn’t really know him.
“Oh- hi. Knight, right? Yeah-uh, for some reason I remembered your name as Harry-”, she got off from her bike, “-and yes, I’m Aurora, and I bonked your head, and your other teammates, haha” Her hand lightly scratched the back of her neck as she laughed awkwardly. Henry was 1 feet taller than her. It should not be a surprise anymore, since Aurora was one of the shortest people in Hogwarts. Still, she was confused with the fact some people cowered in fear when locking eyes with her, especially in the pitch.“Well, technically, I’m a beater in the Ravenclaw quidditch team, though not very much useful, but yeah, a seeker in the scrimmage.” The terrible memory of the last match she was in between the Ravenclaws and Slytherins danced around her brain annoyingly, making her scowled a bit.
It turned out, Henry was one of those people who are clueless about the art of riding a bike. Perhaps it would be fun to watch the boy ride the bike in the wrong way. She could say that it was a beginner technique, he wouldn’t know anyway, right? “Yeah sure, okay so.. first, get on the bike, put your hands on the uh-“, the Ravenclaw pointed her finger at the handle, “-not sure what’s that called, but there.” She looked up to Henry, and continued “Then, swing your legs back and forth on the ground in a super aggressive way, like either you are incredibly mad about something or your heart is filled with unlimited excitement.” The expression on Aurora’s face was unchanged. It was serious, but if the Slytherin boy squints a little, he will notice a little smirk that screamed ‘mischief’.

Henry would smile a bit toward her when he heard her reply and watched her dismounted her lavender bicycle.
"Yeah your wicked strong," Henry would reply with a smile remembering how the girl bonked every member that went after her or her team during the game. The young teen also remembered that she had rather a strange presence that affected everyone, including members of her team and perhaps that should have warned Henry to stay away but it didn't. Instead it interest Henry to the girl and besides from the strange sense, she was rather pretty according to the young teen.
"I'm sure you'll be a brilliant beater soon, just takes time really," Henry would reassure the girl where he her say she wasn't that useful in the position on the ravenclaw team. There was a part of the young teen that considered her lucky to be in the house of the clever and witty with a position on the quidditch team.
Henry always wanted to be in ravenclaw, probably because he wanted to be seen for his knowledge but also he wanted to make his mum proud and protect her legacy. Getting sorted in ravenclaw and playing chaser for the quidditch team were both things that she did and for a time Henry wanted to do them to until he started to live his own life, create his own path at Hogwarts.
Henry would nod and was thankful when the girl said she'll help him learn how to ride only to smile a bit and laugh a small soft light harden laugh when she didn't know what the handle bars were called. Henry only knew because he read a book on bicycles when he was younger so he quickly jumped in, " handle bars," before going back to listening to the girl explain how to ride a bike.
Henry found her instructions odd as he eyed around at the others riding with differently. The young teen then remembered what he read in the book and how you use the peddles, the boy was about to comment on it when his eyes squinted a bit from the sunlight and that was when he saw it. A familiar mischievous smirk on the first year.
Henry would return the mischievous smile to her as he spoke" so that's how you properly ride then?" The boy asked not giving away that he knew she was messing with him as he looked around before speaking" so the others are riding wrong then? Alright then let's try it, " The young teen would mount his bike and sit on the seat before swinging his legs in a way that kicked up some dirt up onto Aurora.
Unmounting his bicycle rather quickly as he spoke" I'm terribly sorry are you alright Aurora?" Once the boy would make sure she was alright he would then give a mischievous smile as he spoke" also next time you try to mess someone, perhaps do it with someone who isn't mischievous to."
He would give her a smile and thought it was a good hope as he spoke" it was a good joke through maybe we could do one together?" The young teen would look around at the others there before glancing at their bikes and then back at the girl as he spoke" but first perhaps you could show me how to ride or keep my balance?"

Just when Ileen was about to get bored, Ruka caught her eyes. A cheeky smile twitched the corner of her mouth as she watched the redhead grab a bike and try his luck - unsuccessfully though. He didn’t look hurt after he had fallen over so Ileen wasn’t too worried about him. It was fun watching the people wobbling around on their bikes, failing and succeeding. Failing was much more fun to watch of course.
Fascinated by her perception, Ileen automatically petted Liv who was suspiciously peaceful and quiet, chilling in the warm sun.
Biting her lower lip, her brown eyes returned to the bikes laying around on the ground. Maybe she should join. Actually, she missed biking a bit but it had been a while and maybe she was a bit rusty? Well, probably still much better than the other purebloods around her. Some of them looked like drunken fools.
Speaking of - in that moment her eyes fell on another pureblood. The worst among them. Mr. I know everything better and tackle you to the ground Shimada. Her eyes squinted to aggressive slits, she watched him attempting to do his first (?) ride. She couldn't help but snort derisively when she saw him sitting on the bike. He looked almost as uncomfortable as if he feared the bike would ride away without him. Well, if she were the bike, she would do that and try to get rid of this unworthy rider.
And just like this an idea popped into her mind. How about she helped the poor bike getting rid of his rider or at least make him struggle even more. As if that would be necessary. As unobtrusively as possible, she drew her wand, made the familiar motion, and pointed it at the Hufflepuff boy. "Steleus."

Dee’s blue eyes would notice her friend's prank - maybe she had predicted it in the first place, but even Shimada would see the wand pointed at him. With an exaggeratedly innocent smile, she quickly let the wand disappear back into her sleeve, gave Dee a half-apologetic, half-amused look, and then turned back to Shimada. "Bless you." She waved her hand through the air. "I hope you don't have anything contagious. Like incapacity or something. Even though it looks like it."
Probably it was a good thing that someone else entered the scene and interrupted her banter with the boy. She heard a familiar voice. Was this Jack Burnett walking towards her? She respected that boy. They had encountered the dungeons together and he seemed quite reasonable. They hadn’t had a chance to talk much yet but he was one of the few SLytherins Ileen was not feeling resistance to in the first place.
He collected some more brownie points as he pronounced Shimada's name wrong, causing an amused smile on Ileen’s end. Shimatta. She had to keep that in mind.
She gave Jack a quick smile and bounced to her feet. Liv, woken up by the rapid movement around her, was not happy at all and hissed at the new arrivals. “Yeah, Shimatta. Get here and see how it's done.” Her brown eyes fixed on Jack, a friendly and warm smile curled her lips. “Do you know how to do it?”
Before Shimada could make his way towards them - if he was coming after all, the ringing and shouting of Ruka and Jake distracted her. She gifted both with a broad grin and returned Rukas enthusiastic wave. She would stop by later to talk to Ruka, a boy she highly appreciated. Now she had to deal with Shimada first.

Like Riding a What Now?

She had ridden bikes before in London with Nakamura- it was best to avoid the busy metros if you could. Riding bikes was fun- untaxing work, but the metal objects could only be used when weather permitted. London weather, to say the least, was not usually permitting.
Mentioning/Interacting: Open to interactions Outfit #666
After grabbing a bike (a bit small- or maybe she was too tall), she took a few minutes to refamiliarize herself with the vehicle. All good. Time to have some fun. Riding over to the steepest hill there was, Suzuki pedalled up it rather quickly, and went down without using the breaks. Fun, but not as fun as she'd have liked it to be. She took her time, riding around the pitch, feeling awkward on her small bike.
Maybe the ramps?
Yes to the ramps.
She pedalled to the ramps, backed up a little for increased velocity, and sped up it.
Suzuki had never been airborne on a bike before.
She probably shouldn't have sped up the ramp so soon- for she was losing her grip on the handlebars.
She crashed to the ground.
Or rather, the bike crashed to the ground, and Suzuki, wanting to avoid being impaled by a pair of handlebars, twisted left and dropped into a roll. No injuries. Good.
The first fall was probably not enough for Suzuki- she hoisted the bike up, pushed it back a bit, and got on. Speeding up a little, she ascended, only to nearly flip over on the bike. But miraculously-
Oh wait.
Never mind about that.
She crashed to the ground, Suzuki first, the bike landing hard on her, handlebars jabbing her in the ribs.
Ow.
Picking up the bike again, Suzuki tried the ramp a third time. She couldn't imagine what she looked like to others- some crazy idiot crashing to the ground multiple times without stopping.
Eh, who cared.
Pedalling up the ramp once more, she was sure to pull the handlebars back a little as to avoid flipping forward. Mistake. She flipped backwards this time, and jumped off the bike, dropping to the ground with a painful roll. The bike clattered to a stop not too far from her.
Time to go somewhere else to avoid being smashed into a latte.
Suzuki, nursing the inevitable bruise on her ribs, pushed the bike for a little before getting on, and riding at a medium speed around the pitch, familiarizing herself with the already familiar terrain. She had spent a lot of time at the Quidditch pitch- watching others train and the games. Not to mention the scrimmage, although that didn't really familiarize herself with the terrain itself. More the position of the goalposts and how it felt to take a bludger in the stomach.
Yes.
She sped up, watching out for any stray twig that would want to wreak havoc on an 11-year-old body. Slowly, more confidence had begun to gather, and she tried biking while standing up. It wasn't too hard. What if she made the bike jump-
She'd only see Nakamura try that- but the one time he did, he slipped in a puddle, faceplanted, and lost a tooth. Although Suzuki had jumped hurdles with a horse, she didn't know if the same techniques would work on a bike.
Well, obviously not- bikes weren't living, and they didn't understand certain movements learnt in horsebackriding.
Still.
Jerking the handlebars up in a very awkward way, the front wheels of the bike lifted off the ground.
They didn't land.
At least, not correctly.
The bike went sideways, and so did Suzuki. To avoid getting another bruise, she jumped off the bike, stopping its fall with a boot.
Hm.
