"AJ", Bloom, Everly & Lindsey Valentines

Oh good! Someone else had taken over the flow of conversation. It hadn't been left to the owner of one of Hogwarts' many thick accents. He listened closely and carefully to the answers of each girl, nodding his head and smiling. It did however take him a moment to realize that they were waiting on his answer. "Oh! Sorreh, dunnae knoo weer ma meend goes semteems." He apologised, hoping that at least would come across.

Oh, ehm...blueh ah thenk. Dunnae relleh have a reesun, jus' leek ut." He shrugged gently, pretty content with his answer. If he was honest colours never really occupied his mind.

"Greffundoor! Aye unluss yeh munt hoomtoon, than ut'd beh Thurso." Did any of them even know where that was? He supposed it didn't matter, he'd passed the first round of questioning.

It was Bloom who spoke next, bringing up the Elephant at the table with the imbalance to the boy/girl ratio. AJ's cheeks caught a slight blush. "Sumbuddeh ahn tha schedoolun's prebubly meed a mesteek." He suggested as a possible answer, not really sure why there would be any other reason.

He needed something to really try to impress everybody. He remembered his Father's advice, subtly mention an impressive thing about yourself to make them aware of your positive traits.

"E-ehm...sooo, am a duellun' Capten." He randomly blurted out.

Thankfully, Lindsey took the flow of the conversation easily. Lilac, huh? Everly recalled it was a shade of light purple. It was a pretty color as well, in Everly's opinion. Bloom answered next - green was a nice color as well, but it was too... hmm, green for her tastes? And blue was pretty too, it depended on the shade.

Realizing she had forgotten to answer her own question - oof, she really hoped no one was keeping track of her messups - Everly quickly added on after Lindsey and AJ answered. "I'm in Gryffindor too! And uh, I guess I'm from Scotland. But I currently live in Canterbury."

Bloom seemed to have no problem bluntly addressing the setup. Everly shrunk a bit smaller in her seat, if she could, feeling a bit out of place next to everyone else. "Yeah, it does seem really weird," she murmured. "I wonder what the point was."

Everly had forgotten that food was in front of her. As she took some sips of hot chocolate, she listened to AJ's comment. Well, that was impressive. Everly had only recently joined the Gryffindor duelling team just before the second stage started, and being reminded of her loss made her wince slightly -

Wait.

Wait a moment.

Now Everly remembered where she had recalled AJ from.

Her mouth dropped open slightly to make a lopsided "o", before she closed it again, slowly nodding. "O-oh, yeah, that's cool! Definitely."

She nodded when Bloom observantly pointed out the fact of the boy - girl rate. 1:3. Smooth, wasn’t it? It seemed interesting - well, maybe she should say intriguing. One male, three females - weird. “Yeah, I agree.” she commented, right after Everly.

AJ brought up that he was a duelling captain. Lindsey had been to a few duels - but just a few - and cheered for her house team. Maybe she had seen this boy valiantly fighting on the stage, or had seen him moderating an honorable event - either way, she had possibly seen him somewhere in the duelling club. The Gryffindor boy was obviously trying to start a conversation, and Lynn valued his effort. She smiled a bit at the boy, and nodded, when Everly said that it was cool. “Duelling is cool indeed! Though I’m a Quidditch player.” mentioning Quidditch, a flash of enthusiasm and eagerness sparkled in her eyes. It was always her favorite sport, not to mention the family legacy it carried. Her father had been an excellent keeper during his schoolyears, and she was interested in this sport since she was pretty young - oui, that’s already enough to explain why she was so eager to sign up on her house’s team. Reflecting a little bit after she uttered the words out like she usually did, Lynn quickly added. “I play beater! Like, y’a know…” her voice softly faded into the air, as suddenly the badger had no clue what to say next. She added a small and merry smile, and then leant back to her cushion.

Sipping some hot chocolate (lol let’s suppose Lindsey had been holding one all the time o.o), her merry brown eyes landed softly on her companions. This was supposed to be fun…right?
