Fairly sure you have to either stay for both weeks or leave for both weeks oop, maybe check in faq tho

I had this understanding as well. Hogwarts Express only runs at certain times so you can't just pick and choose when you come and go from the school. I remember this question coming up during winter break and the staff response being that you can't leave or return mid-break.
