You can only access the lessons when you're 10 days old and have sent 20 or more messages. When you have reached those two criteria, there should be a report card thing when you hover over your portrait. Once you click that, it will show you all of the lessons for the school year.

Hello Enola! You can start homework by having more than 20 messages and 10 days in H.io Afterwards, a staff member will open up your homework and it will appear under your profile as a report card.
