REFERENCES: I... actually took a pic of my own bare foot and leg for this one (how scandalous!). Also, Google pics of gray converse shoes.
COMMENTARY: Initially I was going to do a more labor-intensive, clean, solid shape vector and erase the black pencil sketch outline afterward, but I ended up going with a loose "painted" style. Much like childhood friendship and memories. Fun, messy, never colored in the lines. This one is dedicated to Andrew's best friend, the Barefooted Prince, @Dan Palmer. The tiny popping heart is a little poke at Dan's unrequited love/crush for Andrew.

COMMENTARY: Ooo, I like how the bright ghostly effects turned out, though it kinda reminds me of a bubble, hehe. Future patronus for Andrew, perhaps?

COMMENTARY: Done the human all by myself, quite proudly. This would be Andrew's reaction if he ever saw the Giant Squid outside his bedroom window (is the Giant Squid pink? i dunno...). T'was fun experimenting with opacity and shading to achieve the murkiness of the water. Love those emerald green tones.
