An eventful Saturday...

Saturday the 8th of August 2020
Lucinda and Leopold raised an eyebrow to the name Isaacs, it ringed a bell but they didn't remember why until Elizabeth mentioned her siblings. They looked relieved when the blonde confirmed being a pure-blooded witch. Abigail mother let out a little laughter hearing the girl complimenting the couple her and her husband formed. Leopold, Abigail's father softened his expression a bit before talking to Elizabeth...
The Isaacs family, you say? That's some origins to be proud of, your grand-father is a well-respected figure in our community, Miss. From what we just heard, you seem like a well-suited friend for our dear daughter and she apparently appreciates you... It would be a pleasure to bring you to buy school supplies.
Abigail's mother, Lucinda felt the need to add something, with the same kind voice as the first time she spoke:
It is a great idea, but I'll feel better if we could talk to your parents about it, Miss Elizabeth. I'm delighted to know someone with such a good lineage and aspirations, is enjoying my daughter's company, but we shouldn't worry your parents, my dear.
Abigail followed silently the conversation, her eyes going back and forth to her parents and Elizabeth, She loved them but felt like they might be a bit intimidating sometimes. A smile lit up her face when she heard them approve of Elizabeth frequentation. Her parents' opinion was something very important to her, she wouldn't disobey them by hanging out with people they would not approve...

An eventful Saturday...

Elizabeth smiled when Abigails mother laughed. A light blush lit up her cheeks at the compliments given to her family. It also made her glow, because she knew they deserved them. A large grin lit up her face when Abigails father said she could come along with them shopping. She was about to turn to Abigail and squeal loudly when her mother continued, adding on to her husbands dialogue.
Liz nodded, knowing what Lucinda said made sense. "Hold on! I can go get them really quickly! What you say makes sense!" She quickly grabbed the last of her toast and threw it in her mouth before running off down a hallway for her parents. Their room was chaos. There were bags strewn everywhere and a ton of her younger siblings were running around wildly.
The first adult to give her any attention was her Mother, Ivory. Liz explained the situation and Ivory groaned at her. Yelling to Oliver that she would be right back she walked with Liz to the Great Hall. Plastering on a smile and making sure to smooth down the sides of her braid Ivory walked over. "Hi! Hi! I'm Ivory Isaacs, Liz's mother! How are you guys today? I am so sorry my husband couldn't also come down, he's quite busy with the children. It's a mess you know! But Liz mentioned you two are Ravenmoons? I was a Le Doux before I married Oliver.
Liz walked over to Abigail again, leaving the parents to chat. She sat back down in her seat and pulled out her list of supplies.

An eventful Saturday...

Saturday the 8th of August 2020
Abigail saw Elizabeth jump off her seat to get her parents, and quickly came back with her mom. That woman was impressive in Abigail's eyes, she had a long blond hair done in a braid and in her eyes looked like a powerful witch, which she probably was. She introduced herself to the table and Leopold was the first to answer :
Good morning Mrs Isaacs! I'm Leopold Ravenmoon, Abigail's father. We are very pleased to meet someone from such a prestigious family like yours. I'll let my wife introduce herself before pushing the discussion further.
Lucinda smiled at her husband and spoke as well :
I'm Lucinda Ravenmoon born Silverling. I'm sure I've heard the name Le Doux before... Does it have French origins?
Leopold gave a nudge to Abigail, to indicate it was her turn to speak since all of this was her idea. The young girl shyly blushed before speaking :
I'm Abigail Ravenmoon, Mrs Isaacs. I would like to invite Elizabeth to come with my parents and me, we would do school shopping and maybe stop for ice cream before coming back here. Is that okay with you?
The brunette looked directly in Ivory's eyes, to some it would be defiance, but no one upon seeing the softness in Abigail's eyes would accuse her of that. Adding to this her cheeks were flaming red and her hands trembling, she wasn't afraid but to say she was impressed would be an understatement. She found Ivory stunning and felt like she was powerful, it was enough for the young girl to admire the witch.

An eventful Saturday...

August 8th, 2020
Ivory Isaacs had big brown eyes and she looked very much like her eldest daughter. Or rather her eldest looked like her. She quickly tried to brush down her navy blue dress. It had a few wrinkles in it although that's to be expected when you have so many kids. Liz obviously got her height from her mother as the woman only nearly reached 5'2.
Ivory smiled at the male and then turned her attention to the woman's question. Why yes! It does. Another quiet prestigious family! My father was a wand-maker and my mother fought on behalf of keeping house-elves where...well where they should belong. They are called house-elves for a reason.", she let out a gentle laugh, "Oh! It's been quiet a while since I have heard of a Silverling! As far as I can remember our families aren't on the best of terms right now, the Le Doux's and the Silverlings. But that doesn't have to affect us, since we are now an Isaac and a Ravenmoon!"
She looked down at the young Ravenmoon and nodded, not taken aback by the staring in the slightest. "That you actually be quite helpful! Me and Oliver are very busy with the other kids you see. And you all seem like a very well put together family! I am so glad the first person Lizzy met on her magical journey is from the right sort of people. Alas our children will unfortunately be running into tons of..shall we say, unsavory souls at Hogwarts."
Liz followed the conversation as well. She was fascinated to hear about the family histories. She poked Abigail gently in the side when she noticed the raven-haired female was staring and giggled. She leaned over and whispered "Isn't my mom cool?" she asked.

An eventful Saturday...

Saturday the 8th of August 2020
It was really intriguing for Abigail to learn about the families past, especially since most Pure-Blood families knew each other. Her parents were both in accord with Ivory discourse and politely nodded when she mentioned her's and Lucinda's family feud. The two witches were both on the same page on that point, being married in another family they weren't affected by the quarrel.
The Ravenmoon couple was quite proud of their shy daughter asking by herself but still amused by the blush on the child's face. Ivory's answer was satisfying to them, Leopold chose to be the one to respond...
Alas those frequentations can't be stopped, the best we can do is teaching the importance of preserving our long lineage of witches and wizard and making the kids meet each other. Which is why we are glad that our dear daughter could meet someone with similar education. We assure you that your daughter will be in good care, with us.
Lucinda nodded agreeing with her husband, while Abigail answered her new friend with a smile.
Your mom is amazing! I'm so happy that you can come with us this afternoon to shop on Diagon Alley.
Lucinda thought to finalise the agreement with the hour and meeting point :
I was thinking we should meet around 2 PM at the entrance of Diagon Alley. Would that work for you?

An eventful Saturday...

August 8th, 2020
Liz quickly finished up her food, in a dignified way of course. Especially since her mother was there. Ivory smiled at the couple but was quickly distracted from what she was about to say when a man, Oliver Isaacs, approached from behind her. He set a rough hand on her shoulder. "Ivory, what are you doing? We need to get the room ready.", he glanced up at the Ravenmoons and then looked at Ivory again.
She turned her head and smiled at him. "Oliver. Elizabeth has made a new friend. This is Lucinda and Leopold Ravenmoon. This is my husband, Oliver.", she introduced the twoto her husband. Oliver looked back up at them and smiled. "Oh hello! I'm Oliver, like she said. Nice to meet you!"
Ivory sighed, and rolled her eyes. The two didn't seem to get along very well and this made Liz blush softly. She looked at her new friend, looking slightly ashamed. "Sorry about them. They don't really get along." she whispered. Getting up she grabbed Abi's hand and pulled her with her to go put up her plates, away from the adults. She didn't want Abi to see anymore of her slightly dysfunctional family.
Ivory looked at Lucinda and nodded. "That works for us! I will send her out here to meet up with you guys then!", she said.

An eventful Saturday...

Saturday the 8th of August 2020
Liz's dad joined the little group, and Ivory introduced him to Abi's parents, he didn't seem to get along with his wife very well. The blonde-haired girl confirmed that quickly dragging Abi to put her plate away. The girl looked a bit embarrassed by her parents' attitude, Abi tried to reassure her...
You know it's not always perfect between my parents either... Adult relationships look difficult sometimes!
On the parents' side, everything was going okay, Ivory having accepted the offer to let Elizabeth come with the Ravenmoon family. They were chatting a bit, while the two girls were putting their empty plates away.
Abigail still had something to say to Liz even though she knew her parents would want to visit London this morning, so she didn't have much time. The ambient noise made it necessary to speak a bit louder than what Abi was used to.
Liz! I think I'll have to go with my family this morning, but I'm really glad to spend this afternoon with you. Still have a bit of time though and I'm curious about how it this having so many siblings, can you talk to me about it?
The brunette listened attentively to the answer when her mother came up to the children and said to them :
Abi we have to go now. Miss Isaacs, it was a pleasure to meet you and your parents, see you again this afternoon!
Abi just had time to wave at her friend before disappearing in the crowd.

Abigail has exited the thread, you can have Liz react to what happened here if you want. For the shopping thread, we should discuss that by owl. Thanks for this first encounter!

An eventful Saturday...

August 8th, 2020
Liz was extremely embarrassed of her parents constant fighting. She wanted them to be the perfect couple. Like Lucinda and Leopold appeared to be. Liz knew she didn't know them all that well and they probably had their own problems that she just hadn't seen. But at least they could hold back from bringing them into the public eye.
Abi seemed very understanding about what Liz was going through and didn't push her on it. She also didn't make fun of her, which Liz didn't really know why she expected, but it made her happy. It was a happy little surprise. Abigail asked about her siblings, changing the subject. This reminded Liz that her family was abnormally large. She never really met other wizarding families with as many kids. Being an only child seemed like a dream. Like something from a storybook. Liz was plenty happy to go on and on about her siblings. She loved all of them so much and had a special relationship with each. She was in the middle of a story when Lucinda came over to tell the girls it was time for Abi to go.
This made Liz sad, as she was going to miss her new friend for the hours that they would be apart. But at least they got to go shopping together later. Waving goof-bye to Abi she took her moms hand and they started their way back to their room. Liz cast one last glance behind her.
