An eventful Saturday...

Saturday the 8th of August 2020
It was a very exciting day for Abigail, she's going to London for the weekend in order to buy school supplies, for her first year in Hogwarts. Like many others, she was pretty impatient to discover her wand, the essential tool to cast spells... Less common maybe, she was also hoping to meet some of her future classmates and maybe make a friend. If the Scottish girl was shy and independent, she was still eager to make some friends, a life of isolation from the world in the Ravenmoon Manor, made her crave for friendship. Not her childhood wasn't happy, quite the contrary actually, but she missed being able to hang out with people her age.
Today might be the day where her loneliness end, here in the Leaky Cauldron's Great Hall, where she is currently taking her breakfast alone at a table. Her parents were busy in the bedrooms getting everything put in the right place for the days to come. The brown-haired girl was lost in her thought, focused on her expectations for the year to come. The Hall was full of other people eating and chatting, there was apparently some other kids her age, but not knowing how to approach them, she read again the list of supplies she will need to buy...
@Elizabeth Isaacs here's my starting post, don't hesitate to interrupt Abi's breakfast.

An eventful Saturday...

August 8th, 2020
The door to the leaky cauldron opened and a large amount of noise entered the immediate area. A large family of 11 entered. The mother, Ivory, and the Father, Oliver began to heard the younger kids towards their hotel room. They took all but two of the kids. 2 girls stayed behind. They looked to be about the same age both with long blonde hair and brown eyes, but one was much shorter than the other. The taller one took off to look for something to eat while the shorter of the two made her way around slowly.
Liz slid around the edge of the room, taking in the scene. She hummed a song she'd been practicing on the flute earlier to herself. She was excited to finally be able to get a wand. It was the first thing on her mind, but the second thing was making new friends. Liz, despite her small stature, was a rather outgoing person and tended to make herself the center of attention if at all possible. So she had no anxiety about making new friends whatsoever. After surveying the room for a bit longer and fixing her black skirt she made her way towards the group of kids about her age.
She was heading fro the larger group when a girl off to the side caught her eye. The girl had appeared to be eating breakfast and Liz's stomach growled with a reminder that she hadn't eaten recently. The blonde haired girl quickly changed her course of direction and slid onto the bench directly to the left of the girl. "Hi there! I'm Elizabeth! What's your name?" she asked.

An eventful Saturday...

Abigail was silently eating her food when she feels movement on her left, a girl her age was there and she quickly presented herself. Abigail with the mouth full of food nodded in direction of the blonde girl, acknowledging her, she calmly finished her bite, before answering the newcomer.
"Hi, my-my name is-is Abigail, Abigail Ravenmoon. Nice-nice to meet you!"
That simple little phrase, with a little stutter in her voice, embarrassed the Scottish girl, making her fair ivory skin turn red. Maybe it was a bit too formal, and why on Earth did she stutter! She thought to herself, that she should explain why her introduction was so weirdly formal to Elizabeth since she seems friendly. Abigail took a sip of hot cocoa to regain a bit of composure and turned to the blonde with a little smile.
"I'm sorry, for the formalness... I'm not used to meeting people... Are you here to buy schools supplies too?
Those words were pronounced with a bit more confidence and what could be a bit of hope, on the last question. Abi finished her mug of hot chocolate, lifting the cup with delicacy, maybe that girl could be a friend. I do hope she's my age, maybe we could go to school shopping together... Thought Abigail.

Elizabeth blinked her brown eyes and watched the girl fidget. She let out a soft laugh at the girls apology. "It's perfectly fine! We all have our quirks. Like I said, I'm Elizabeth. Elizabeth Isaacs! You can call me Liz though." She said and looked at the girls plate of food. Her stomach growled again, this time louder. She blushed lightly at the noise and smiled. "I'm so sorry. I haven't eaten at all today."
She looked around for her sister and saw the younger girl approaching. She reached up and snatched on of the plates out of the girls hand and smirked at her. Beatrix rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out at Liz before continuing past her. Liz sat the plate down in front of her and began to quickly eat. After a few bites she turned back to Abigail, finally answering her question.
"Yes! It's gonna be my first year at Hogwarts! I have been waiting all my life to get here. My parents are both Graduates of Hogwarts. It's my turn to continue our Slytherin Lineage!"She continued to eat after finishing her dialogue, using only slight manners. Nothing like Abi's good manners. Being raised with so many siblings has taught her that you better eat fast and finish it all unless you want your siblings to try and take your food. She lifted her Brown eyes up and watched Abigail as she ate.

Elizabeth's stomach growled loud enough for Abigail to hear it, she managed to not laugh but couldn't refrain a cheeky smile and an amused look. With surprise, the brown-haired girl saw the girl she just met snatch a plate from another girl's hands. She realized quickly that they looked alike and concluded that they must be from the same family. Liz was clearly less reserved than her, and it put Abi at ease.
To the bliss of the Scottish girl, her new companion was going to Hogwarts too and it will be her first year this September, just like her. Hearing the word "Lineage" in the girl discourse, Abi instantly knew that the girl must be like her a Pure-Blood witch. They apparently didn't have the same education on manners, which was fine for Abi, as herself used her manners more from the force of habit than from the necessity to look good.
Are you from a Pure-Blood family too? I knew I'll join Hogwarts this year, but I admit it was quite long to wait for the admission letter. Was your family only sorted in Slytherin? Mine are both from Slytherin and Ravenclaw, according to my parents, it is likely that I'll do the same! Oh, and you can call me Abi if you want.
Having added that she turned to her scrambled eggs and took a few more bites, waiting for Liz answer.

Elizabeth's eyebrows raised at the dialogue and she quickly swallowed her current bite of pancake. "So you are pure-blood? Thank Merlin. I have a sense I think....to only ever have the urge to talk to real wizards and witches. Yes, my family has been Pure-blooded and Slytherin for a long time. In fact, I don't think I have one muggle ancestor. I hope you are in Slytherin with me! We could dorm together and have night adventures! My parent's met at Hogwarts!"She had gone off on a tangent she realized, and quickly stopped talking.
She used her fork and cut another piece of Pancake. She then dunked it in syrup and ate it. She huffed when pieces of wispy blonde hair got caught in the sticky substance. She pulled them out and set her fork down to redo her long ponytail. When her hair was down it reached down to her lower back. She used suddenly delicate hands to smooth down any bumps on the sides and then tied the ponytail back up.
Afterwards she continued to eat. She looked at Abi and lifted a finger. "Hold that thought!" she said and quickly got up. She dashed to the counter and came back with a cup of coffee, towered with whipped cream. She slid back into her seat and turned to Abi and smiled.

Abigail guessed right, the girl was also a Pure-Blooded witch. I kinda get what she means by real wizards and witches... Yes, some Muggle-borns were as good at magic as Pure-Bloods but they don't know a thing about our culture and live between two radically different worlds, I don't think it's a good thing. People need to choose the path they want to follow, you can't be a witch or a wizard and a muggle. She nodded in agreement to Liz discourse on the matter, still eating her breakfast. Being in the same House, sharing dorms, was a wonderful thought for Abi. She smiled at her companion and observed her tied up expertly her blonde hair in a ponytail. She was mesmerized by that small gesture, Abigail never had to take care of her hair by herself, it was always Poppy or her mom that did her hairdo... Suddenly, Elizabeth jumped off her seat to get herself a cup of coffee.
Sharing dorms would be awesome! Where did you learn to do your hair by yourself? I never did mine before, it's most of the time Poppy our House Elf that does it. My parents met there too, my dad was a Ravenclaw, my mom a Slytherin...
With nothing more to say Abigail finished the few last bites of her eggs and smiled kindly to Elizabeth. An idea popped to her mind and she added :
Would you like to go school shopping with me and my family, later in the day?

Liz was glad the female agreed with her. Her parents had warned her that at Hogwarts she might run into people who disagree with her and to never let them get to her. They were a pure-blood family and the highest form of Wizards and Witches there were. Her parents had however warned her about throwing the word MudBlood around, as it was a common occurrence in the Isaacs household to refer to muggle-borns as this. Liz mulled this over for a moment before responding to Abigails many questions.
"Oh! Well I was raised with 8 younger siblings so my parents and house-elves never have the time to do my hair, especially now that I'm older. So my mother taught me when I was quite young and I've been able to it ever since.", she giggled softly, "If you don't know how to put your hair up how do you expect to maintain it once you get to Hogwarts? You know what? If we are in the same House I can do it for you. Don' t even worry about it."
She brought her mug up to her face a slurped the whipped cream off the top. She closed her eyes with bliss as the sugary substance hit her tongue. A small mustache of froth remained on her top lip when she pulled them away from her cup. She licked it off and then took a sip of the actual coffee before placing the mug on the table.
"I would love to go shopping with you guys! More time away from my crazy family!"

An eventful Saturday...

Saturday the 8th of August 2020
The brunette started to realize that maybe she'll need to do some stuff by herself rather than relying on Poppy or her family. She was absolutely not used to this and didn't know how it would go. She was a bit reassured when Elizabeth proposed to help her.
It would be awesome if you helped me do my hair! Maybe you could even teach me the basics, no one really has the time or that and to be fair I'm pretty my parents don't do their own hair often.
Liz told her she wanted to come with them in Diagon Alley, which made Abigail smile. She continued to speak having finished her breakfast.
I'm sure my parents would be okay with you accompanying us to shop! On another note, I really hope to be in the same house as you... You're really kind, Liz.
Finishing those words, Abigail noticed a couple with dark hair coming in their direction and recognised her parents. She hoped they would let her speak a bit more with Liz and let her invite her new friend to go school shopping. The couple stopped near the two young girls, and the man spoke in a soft but confident voice :
Abigail, who is this young lady by your side?
That's Elizabeth, Father. She's going to be a First Year in Hogwarts too! Could she come with us to buy our school supplies?
Abigail mother smiled at her daughter enthused answer and turned to Elizabeth, kindly asking :
Could you tell me a bit about you and your family, Elizabeth? I just want to make sure my daughter will be in good hands.

Liz continued to chow down. She nodded in agreement when the other girl mentioned teaching her a few basics and then went slightly crimson when she was called kind. When Abigails parents showed up the blonde girl paused her scarfing of food. She sat up and straightened her back, quickly raising her head to meet the mothers eyes. She smiled softly and responded.
"Hello! I'm Elizabeth Issacs! Of the Isaacs family, grand-daughter of Iver Isaacs.", Liz's grandfather had been pretty well known in pure-blood families for his help repopulating the worlds pure-bloods. He had had a whopping 12 children and married all of them off successfully to different Pure-Blooded families. He had been a blessing as many Pure-Blood families thought they might have to turn to incest to keep bloodlines pure. "You may have heard of him, because as I understand from Bibi, she motioned to Abigail, you guys are also pure-blooded! I have 8 younger siblings whom I adore. We are also a historically Slytherin family and I hope to be sorted there too. My favorite subjects are Potions and Charms. Also may I say that you are quite Beautiful ma'am? And you Sir are very handsome. You make and amazingly pretty couple.
So Liz DID have some manners. She used everything she had learned from her mother to her advantage. She tucked a strand of hair that escaped from her ponytail behind her ear and then folded her hands neatly in her lap. She prayed that she didn't have and food on her face, though it wouldn't come as a surprise with the way she was eating.
