Anastasia Beckett suggested that Flash join the club in a conversation they had, and besides being an accommodating kind of person open to trying new things, he was also personally interested in the concept. He was raised in a mostly muggle-like environment, and had avoided casting spells most of his first year out of fear that he would realize he was no good at it. This year, he wants to have more power, and be more useful, so is interested in partaking in club activities that will encourage the growth of his skill. Of course, he will be able to be around the lovely Miss Anastasia as well.

Dee kind of wonders how she missed signing up for S.W.A.G last year. A club that offers games where she can cast magic and be better than other people at it? Does she really need to say more? It sounds awesome, and she hopes there will be an event kind of like the Chess Combat during summer camp which was super fun (even if the end of her match was a little unfortunate) - but even if it turns out to completely different, Dee is always up for a challenge. Either way, she was ready to sign up as soon as she saw the announcement.

Other than learning magic, she was forced to use it in seriously dangerous situations. Opeila is under the impression that learning by doing is the best way to practice spells, but she would rather do that in a less harmful environment. This is why she wants to join the S.W.A.G. club.

Lizzie never had the intention to join S.W.A.G ever. Especially since she keeps losing her wand every single time there is some kind of dangerous occurrence. It was never fate for her to want to join. However, her mind got twisted and changed when she came across a house elf collecting the sign-ups. Unfortunately, the blonde girl thought they were dealing the good stuff and confronted the elf. It eventually lead up to Lizzie meeting Aurie and getting in a conversation about the club. Since Lizzie does not like to apologize to strangers, she though the best way to say sorry was to sign up for her club. At least for a little bit. If she didn't get kicked out already.
