Interacting with @Breana Oliveire Colt Armstead
If there was anything worse than slow walkers, it was slow talkers. Somehow Colt always managed to make his voice feel like it was struggling to get through molasses, suspended in time. Everett could zone out during one word, and he would just be starting on the next one before he phased back in. It was the worst.

Well, not as bad as that terrible nickname. Evie? Of all things. He would rather be called a Yankee for the rest of his life than be called Evie. Still, he knew that Colt was addressing him. Therefore, he felt an unfortunate obligation to go say hello to him. Cupcake in hand now and rapidly stripped of a wrapper, he took the first bite. It was solidly a really good cupcake. A hum of satisfaction. A little know fact about Rett was how intense of a sweet tooth that he had. Colt was lucky there was an abundance of sweets to keep him within range of his flinging paintbrush. He cringed, reaching out and slowly removing the paintbrush from Colt's hand and setting it on the table once he fully made it over to him.

He barely had time to form an actual hello before he started speaking again. "Hey, you know you can call me-- Ah, nevermind. You're just... Yep Quidditch. I'm aware that is why we're here." There was something endearing about the lack-a-daisy attitude of Colt, something so opposite to Rett's more rigid and structured way of living. It let him live vicariously through the other boy, wondering if that is what he would be like within a different family. One where appearance and structure ruled his life with a heavy fist. Everything he did was watched with an eagle eye in Georgia, waiting for him to mess up to then report to his parents about what shame he brought to the Brooks name.

Rett idly nodded his head as Colt spoke, getting lost within the sugary world of the cupcake before him. God, this cupcake was truly a gift. He looked around for a moment, wondering if house elves made it or if someone else provided them. He needed to get the recipe to have his sister experiment with them, see if she could make them better. It took a solid second after sadly finishing the cupcake where he realized that Colt had finally stopped talking and was looking at him expectantly.

A banner that could've been made banner by a seven year old glared back at him. At least he could spell sports. "First off, feel free to call me Rett. Evie makes me want to puke, which could provide you with more paint considering the color you chose for the background." A twinge of guilt rarely felt by Rett hit his heart, he was basically talking to a puppy right now. He needed to be kinder. He was trying to put an effort in after all to uh... support... all the sports... at a Quidditch event. "I mean, there are definitely other sports out there Colt. It's just that this trip is specifically for the Quidditch match. I don't suppose you'll be bringing this er... lovely... sports banner to the Quidditch game later on?" An eyebrow quirked up at him, and he finally made the decision to sit down next to Colt. His legs were tired from holding up all his gorgeous anyway.

"I'm sure some of the Hogdorks would love your banner, and some would hate it. Who knows with them. Are you cheering for either team in particular? I'm personally rooting for Dumbstrank, but just barely above the Hufflescruffs. I think it'll be an interesting match to watch." His eyes once again observed the surroundings, "Seems like if Hogwarts hosts the event, they get to be heavily biased. Is there even an option for any Durmstrang colors around here?" Not that Rett cared, or even wanted to make a banner. But if he was gonna listen to Colt droll on about all the sports that deserved an audience, he might as well be doing something.

Interacting with @Hjørdis Jensen and @Caradoc Browne
Artemis was quite excited to see how many students decided to walk over and create something for the big game. Most of the students went straight for the face painting station, which was fine by him. He only had to help out a few first years who were solo painters and who couldn't get the paint in the correct position on their faces without poking out their eyes. The last thing the teachers needed were students blinding themselves with paint and paintbrush bristles. One student greeted him and Artemis gave the girl a soft smile as he nodded at her greeting and permission to start painting her face in the Hufflepuff colors @Aurelia Roberts. He really did enjoy seeing the students enjoying themselves without the risk or chance of them getting hurt. The students at Hogwarts just seemed to get into so much trouble.

After making sure that the other students were taken care of by some of the older students, Artemis allowed his attention to drift to the woman he was conducting this little activity with. Actually, it was more like he was voluntold to do this with her, and then she just left him and their young prefect to do all of the hard work around the station. But that was alright. Artemis had a little trick up his sleeve for dear, sweet Hjørdis Jensen. She had her lovely white shirt and light brown capris on...it was just the perfect outfit. But it was a little too plain. It needed some color. Some reds or yellows.

A smirk graced his lips as he strolled over to the pair. He felt like a little boy again with what he planned to do. Sure his colleagues may be upset with him after this, but this was summer. They should be able to have just as much fun as the students. And out of everyone on the staff team, these two seemed to be the most...uptight. That definitely wasn't the Caradoc that he knew in school, though he did know that the man was going through a lot of stress when it came to the school and students. Hjørdis as well. Hell, all of the professors. But those two seemed to be the ones that needed to relax the most.

What better way than to give them a little makeover?

He watched as the duo spoke and then Caradoc sat down in a chair before Hjørdis as she picked up a paintbrush and started to paint the man's face. Well...this was just the perfect situation, honestly. Picking up a bit of yellow paint of his own and a brush from a nearby table, Artemis strolled over in earnest, hoping to get to his female colleague before she could notice him behind her. Just as she was painting a white streak across Caradoc's face, which looked a bit reluctant, Artemis himself dipped his own brush into his paint cup filled with yellow paint. "I think a little bit of yellow would actually go good here, don't you think?"

If Hjørdis didn't move in time then Artemis would get lucky enough to actually leave a streak of yellow upon her face. If she did happen to hear or feel him coming...well...maybe the Charms Professor would get a surprise of his own. But it wouldn't be his last attempt at trying to paint Hjørdis the colors of Hufflepuff.

Students were slowely walking in. The dhampir had crossed her legs, her hands resting on her shins as she watched them. So far no one had really approached her. The dhampir didn't mind. They probably weren't used to seeing her in an attire like this. Maybe there had been some usual gossip about dhampirs. Or... the quarrels she had with most Slytherin students. But they're here outside, a long way from Hogwarts. Things should be more relaxed. Atleast she hoped so.

Her iceblue eyes noticed a few familiar faces. There was @Alan Vanes who apparantly carried his cat with him. They occasionally talked whenever they saw each other but the Slytherin didn't really feel it today. Standing beside her near the legs of her chair, she had placed a cold bottle of water. Picking it up, taking a sip, she never let her eyes wander off the crowd. @May Moonstar, a girl who had seen her chipper happy-go-lucky side. It was rather rare to see her like that. It used to be a regular thing, to see the dhampir happy. Things have changed, and so has she.
@Ariana Walker. The Gryffindor girl who had called her over at the Hospital Wing. Nico still wasn't sure if whatever happened there had been resolved. To be fair, she didn't really care much either. It looked more like a theatrical show that she had to watch just because she was a Prefect with responsibilies. Let's hope it did...
A few students she had never seen before. Were these the famous Durmstrang students she had heard so much about lately? Would be nice for the Quidditch players to mingle with some of them before tomorrows game.

Her thin fingers rolled the bottlecap back on as she carefully got up. 'Hungry.' She muttered. Making her way through the small crowd, the dhampir couldn't help but notice how many had swarmed the Snek mother. Weird. If another Head of House would have set this up, Nico was pretty sure she wouldn't come over and nearly grab hold of them. Well... Maybe she would with Professor Equinox ( @Alaric Equinox ). Since he was a dhampir and helped the local dhampirs with their daily dose of blood. It was nice to have that sort of reassurance in the castle. It felt less... lonely. To some extend. Arriving at the table of tasty snacks and candy, she carefully say beside it on a chair. Why wouldn't she? She had been dragging them around this whole time. Might enjoy the shade that a nearby tent provided. It was just enough for her entire body to be blocked from the radient sun.

Ofcourse, it couldn't only be students who swarmed the Head of House, could it? The infamous Badger King ( @Caradoc Browne ) had arrived and Nico wasn't sure what to think of his attire. Although she had to admit that it looked... daring. Flashy. Very... out there. The Slytherin Prefect kept an eye on him as she picked up a Huffle cupcake and quietly nibbled on it. One leg pulled up near her chest and the other resting over the edge of her chairseat. The last and first time she saw him was... at the Great Hall. His dancing outburst was a sight to behold and something to never forget. He was possibly a physical form of a ray of sunshine and the dhampir couldn't help but pull down the rim of her sunhat some more until he was no longer in view. 'Oh Merlin...'

At that point she had decided to stick with the snacktable and observe everyone. She just wanted to enjoy the soft murmuring of students and fighting Profs as a soft breeze would blow through her hair. This was going to be... something.

Nell quickly turned around as she heard her name called by an unfamiliar voice. She saw it was coming from a girl with curly red hair and a bright smile. The girl asked Nell if she would like to sew something. Well, Nell could most definitely sew after all those hours her mother had made her do it. The thing was if she wanted to sew. Nell had bad memories of those long afternoons, her fingers constantly being pricked, stern directions from her mother. This would be different though, right? This was with someone her age. After deciding, Nell looked over to the girl and gave a steady nod before walking over. Now that she could see her face a tad more clearly, she realized it was Aisling. Aisling...Colt? Clemonson? Collins? Yes, it was Aisling Collins. She gave the girl a smile as she took a seat on the bench next to her. Before Nell said anything she began to brainstorm an idea for her project. Maybe she would make another banner? There was nothing wrong with that right? Nell glanced around for the needle and threads, but didn’t find anything. She decided not to ask Aisling where everything was, for Nell would find it too awkward. So, she sat there and waited for a short time.

Lizzie stepped into the very busy area without any idea why she was there. After all, she had just been hiding in her bed for the last nine days and did not want to even think about why she had been doing it. The girl was a mess. Her hair was everywhere and her eyes were even worse. The struggle of having bad eye sight did not help either.

As the masses of blurs moved around in front of her, Lizzie stood there looking around for any one who would be willing to interact with her. She had no intention in staying long so what harm would a little conversation be?

She turned around placing her right hand on her head trying to force out all the negetive emotions. It was meant to be a happy day. Hufflepuff was going to win tomorrow and Lizzie did not want to be gloomy about it. Imagine in a few years when she would be telling the little first years about it and then would have to mention 'I was really sad for the whole event. I think that is was something to do with a break up'. What a sad and horrid story that would be.

Lizzie sighed and put on a small smile before walking towards the closest table. Maybe looking a bit happier would attract some people to talk to her. That was the whole intention of her emerging from the tent. "Come on Lizzie. You are not that much of an emotional wreck."

Ariana was on the verge of snapping again, yet she managed to stifle the urge of knocking her chair over and throwing anything she had in her grasp at the slytherin. The whole scene would have come off as quite melodramatic, and although Ariana could be quite dramatic at times, this wasn’t one of the things to get all worked up about.

”I mean- you're all acting like fools!"

Mays tug on her was effortless, as Ariana restrained her, refusing to move in closer for the girl to do her face paint. “I am not acting like a fool May!” She said, casting a look of annoyance towards the hufflepuff. “How about you go and tackle the nasty snake yourself then?!” She had not meant to come off so rude, yet her words burst out rather savagely, spiteful upon reflex. How could the girl be worrying about paint now! She had barely turned back round to shoo Sky away yet again, when someone, much more welcome this time, made their appearance known with a reproachful glare and insult shot at Sky.

"Why do you care if they're friends or not? It's none of your business. And please don't call Ariana cocky. It's not true."

If Ariana had been the same person she was last summer, she would have given a childishly smug grin, therefore proving the point of the wretched slytherin. Yet, this time she shot a genuine smile towards Ivy, mentally thanking the girl for getting her out of this one.

“Are you - are you ok?"

Ariana opened her mouth to respond to her, turning her back on the chaos, however she barely got any words out before Sky had opened her mouth again to speak. Could the malicious snake not keep her mouth shut for five seconds?!

“Another of Walkers pathetic cronies...oh, well maybe you are right, she is more stupid than anything come to think of it, cant put two and two together if her life depended on it. I'd say you were better off finding some intelligent friends to associate yourself with, although I doubt the lion house consists of any of those.”

Ariana felt her cheeks tinge pink slightly with embarrassment. ‘Cronies’ who did Sky think she was? Some heartless good-for-nothing idiot?! She stood up facing Sky and yelled, “Shut the damn hell up Evans, you don’t even know her! But there you go again, ruining the days of strangers you don’t even know!” She turned on her heel and marched to a seat as far away from the drama as she could, seething with fresh anger.

Green hues flicked with visible irritation and she sat down, pulling materials towards her and fumbling with paint brushes as she searched savagely for a distraction. Anything would do to subside the pounding in her ears. Goodness, she needed to work on her temper that was for sure, the whole camp had probably heard her yelling.

As she calmed down, she remembered Ivy and only hoped that the girl had followed, after all, she knew that her gryffindor friend didn’t exactly have a positive opinion of May, surely she wasn’t going to sit with them? “Damn Evans.” she muttered under her breath, dipping a paintbrush in black paint and venomously wishing that she could stroll over there and pour the whole pot down the snakes back. What she would give to stand there and watch such a reaction. I mean, who did Evans think she was? Ariana could only hope for better as she sighed, placing her chin on her palm, her left hand working on her slowly progressing banner.

Yes, a very enthusiastic redhead with badger facepaint and a pair of matching, fluffy ears was asking for sewing help! Oh, the horror! Aisling tilted her head as Lucia did her best to politely decline, only to cut herself off when realization dawned on her that she did, in fact, have enough needles on hand. With a laugh she finished off the last of her facepaint, dabbing a bit of bright glitter across her forehead for that extra bit of sparkle.

"I just need help," Aisling assured her brightly, as if picking up on her reluctance. Honestly, it was completely understandable. The sewing box was apparently deeply personal, and reminded her of her father's writing desk. It was not to be touched or used without explicit permission- but Aisling was always willing to push the boundaries a tad, especially if it meant possibly making a new friend.

She thanked Professor Vernatis for his assistance, even if she had done most of the work herself with some advice on placement. Taking the fabric with her she rose from the face painting station and shifted over towards Lucia's table. "I want to add this to my shirt," she informed while settling in across from her. Taking the tank top in both hands she spread the garment out across the table. Since the yellow fabric hadn't been properly cut she could only line it up beneath her tank top, adjusting the edges as necessary to show where she wanted to add the extra fabric. "Like this," she advised, bunching up the fabric between her fingers to form loose pleats as she aligned it along the bottom hem.

Tilting her head she pursed her lips together thoughtfully. "Kind of like...a small skirt on the edge of it?" The tank top wasn't made of a stretchy fabric, which would make sewing on the addition fairly simple. Aisling, however, wasn't really gifted with using a needle. "Do I...need to cut the bottom of the shirt off?" She gave the hem along the bottom a little tap with a finger in order to indicate it. The question was more so spoken aloud to herself, but Lucia was certainly free to offer her input as the apparent professional on the matter.

Nell wasn't too far behind, and Aisling encouraged her to get settled by motioning to a nearby chair. She seemed shy, but that didn't deter the redhead from trying to get her involved. "Have you ever sewn before," she asked Nell with a grin. "Do you want to try and add anything to what you're going to wear to the match tomorr-"

Aisling was cut off as Ariana began shouting at Sky. Turning in her seat she glanced over her shoulder towards the gaggle of girls. Blue eyes danced back and forth between everyone who had been exchanging cross words, then jumped to Lizzie as she arrived looking like she'd rolled out of bed after hibernating for a week straight. Not wanting to insert herself into the drama she turned away from it all and shot both Nell and Lucia a bright smile. Nothing to see here, folks!

"If you'd rather sew it for me then that's fine," she told Lucia. "I can just watch and learn." It was obvious she was trying to keep them all distracted from the nearby disturbance. Hopefully, that would urge Lucia along to help.

People were beginning to stare as the argument grew louder and louder, and Ivy looked over at the professors again anxiously, hoping they would stay oblivious to commotion in this particular corner. Her pale cheeks coloured as the other girl referred to her as one of Ariana's 'cronies' and insulted Gryffindors, and Ivy bit her lip nervously, grey eyes lowered as she wondered how to handle this situation. There had been a time where she had wished to be in a different house, but now she was proud to call herself a lion.

"Please don't say that," Ivy said, her voice quiet but steady. She shot Ariana a warning look, pleading her not to say anything else - but either she didn't notice or didn't care, because off she went again, snapping angrily at the offending girl. "Ariana," she hissed, eyebrows shooting up. But her fellow Gryffindor was already walking away. Ivy sighed and turned back to the rude Slytherin in front of her. "See what you've done now? I told you, we aren't looking for trouble. Is it really so hard to be nice?"

She turned away again. Whoever this girl was, it didn't matter - Ivy wasn't going to waste another second on her. "Maybe you two should stay here," she said to May and Janet offhandedly, offering only the latter a smile (the Hufflepuff didn't deserve one). "She seems to be pretty upset with you two." With that, she rushed after Ariana, who was fumbling with the paintbrushes on another table. Ivy took a second to observe her friend, once again wondering what to say to make things right.

Ariana's green eyes were flashing angrily, pink-cheeked and flushed, and she was gripping the paintbrush with the black paint like it was a sword as she wrote on the banner. "You ok?" Ivy asked quietly. "That girl's a nasty piece of work, isn't she? What is her problem?" She looked back and tossed her brown hair over her shoulder. "Do you want me to go back and punch her? I mean, I don't know how to punch someone, but I'd give it my best shot," she joked, trying to make Ariana laugh.

Summer Camp Crafting Activity Finished
There was something about running that always put Katrina at ease. Perhaps it was the rhythm in a world she heard so little music in, or the fact that running seemed to push away all of her thoughts. Katrina was allowed to be whoever and whatever when the world was reduced to her and the path. She could push harder, go faster, be better. But there was never a pressure to do so. It was just an option.

This morning, Katrina slipped on some clothes and was out only moments after they were allowed to leave the tents. She went for a long run and thoroughly tired herself out. The girl had returned to her tent and journaled for a while and sketched for a while. There wasn't many times that she longed for social interactions, but boredom, that was the thing that drug her from her tent and forced her into a situation with other people. There was only so much drawing and writing that one girl could do without feeling an edge of boredom.

The crafting was already in full swing when Katrina wandered in. She wasn't even sure what she wanted to make, or even if she wanted to make anything. The only crafting she ever really did was for the Professors for errands. There was lots of options for Hufflepuff things. Yellow paper, yellow face paint, yellow clothes. Katrina really wasn't sure why she had decided to do all of this. She didn't even know any Hufflepuffs or know anything about Quidditch. It was necessity, the fact that she had nowhere else to go.

Katrina strolled around, observing crafts, not really engaging in any conversations for a while. There were a few people that seems somewhat approachable, but they were all too focused on their craft or were already talking to someone else. There was someone by the snack table, she too was simply observing people. Katrina vaguely recognized her as a Prefect, but recently, she had been too quick to assume things.

That was one thing about summer camp that continued to keep Katrina on her toes. No one wore much school gear or school clothes. It was significantly harder to recognize people without the indicative colors or prefect badges. It was also harder to separate Hogwarts students from students from other schools and she had already mistaken several people so far. But there was a flip side to that, no one was quick to stereotype her into 'Gryffindor bravery' or any other category. She could easily blend into the crowd and not be expected to jump into whatever fight or do whatever dangerous thing someone asked her to do.

Katrina walked up to the snack table, she looked at the food and forced herself to grab something. She ended up with one of the jelly slug packages in her hand. She really needed to eat something today. Running burned calories, and she needed to get them back some way or she would end up worse than she had been this year.

Katrina (somewhat awkwardly) walked up to the girl she had seen by the table. "Hi, mind if I sit with you?" she waited a beat and pulled up a chair semi-close. It felt odd to be the one initiating conversation, but the girl seemed to be approachable enough. Worst case scenario, Katrina would simply slip away and find something else to occupy her time.

Well, looked like this was going to be a long - actually, how long was the crafting activity supposed to last? Lucia suddenly realised that she wasn't actually sure.
This girl seemed to be the sort of persistant, optamistic, extroverted redhead that wouldn't let anything go until it had happened. Actually, she sort of reminded Lucia of her friend Scarlett Aden - though maybe a bit too overenthusiastic. Wait, no. Cross out the 'maybe'.
To be honest, Lucia hadn't come to the crafting to socialise - that was what she had used the other activities for - but instead to get some quiet time outside of her tent.
Looked like that wasn't going to happen.
Inwardly cringing as the girl seemed to do her best to cover up the arguement taking place on another table (which was unnecesary, seeing as Lucia did know how to leave other people's business alone), Lucia put down her paper and other supplies on the table.
"To be honest with you," she admitted, "I'm not all that great with sewing clothes. I'm more of an embroidery sort of person, although I can do a few small things." After an awkward beat, she added, "I could show you how to bunch it all up though? If there are any sewing supplies around..."
Lucia looked guiltily at her sewing box, which seemed to be telling her, 'But I'm right here!'
Sighing, she held her hand out towards the redhead and the other girl who had joined them at the redhead's request. "I'm Lucia, I just finished my first year."
