───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────|| | Golden eyes watched as the game escalated, the red leather ball flying through hoops that seemed to favor her own team over the other's. This must be a game similar to Knattleikr. Unfortunately it didn't seem to include the use of bats for all, let alone hand-axes. That was very sad indeed. Not enough honor was being restored, not enough confrontation was occurring. What was the point of this game if not to settle old grudges and ignite a few more? She watched a girl that seemed not sure what to do Rose. Banging the butt of Luciana on the ground a few times, she offered a few rousing words to her. "Fight, Valkyrie!" She barked. "Take them souls! Cry havoc!" And she hissed through her teeth in a way that sounded half a whistle and half like a scream on the wind. "Fight! Fly!" She didn't like the fact that it seemed that their own "Searcher" had not caught onto the same trail as the enemy's. Her eyes narrowed. When would they finally realize that a game the likes of this Knattleikr could not be won without a great might to back their maneuvers? She would not fly for a team of cowards. | || |

This couldn't go that bad. No, the opposing team had just been lucky. Oh, the lies Ophelia told herself. One look at the opponents and she could already recognize who was good. But the same recognition could be seen in her eyes when she looked at her team. The Quidditch field was the only thing she could see, the slight gust of wind the only sound she could comprehend in her ears, and the thought of new strategies based on what was happening at the time the only thing in her mind.
The raven didn't seem to have enough of strategizing. The strategy, though, didn't seem to become real until she articulated it. She didn't notice when she started talking, but when she did come to her senses, she was already engrossed in a conversation of strategizing with Andy. Pete was on save duty, although that didn't bring them any advantage since there was nobody to be saved. Ugh, Ophelia's knee was already bouncing from feeling anxious and excited at the same time. Ironic because she wasn't even playing at the time, the stress! Oh, what were the players in the field experiencing? Perhaps, like it was the case for herself, the adrenaline and pressure they felt didn't give them enough time and energy to concentrate on their fears. Which was... logical.

keen eye. 10% chance of automatically identifying the snitch when searching for the snitch.
She'd seen the Snitch, but she chose to play it smart. If she could hit Andrea off-balance, make her think the flicker was somewhere else entirely–she'd give herself as much room as she needed to make the real snag on her own terms. Chest low against the gleaming haft, she gave the illusion of having suddenly pulled up short, veering to the left so that she sprinted underneath the hoops' shadowy outlines. This is the Wronski Feint. This counterstrike can be a costly game of chance–the Wronski is a trick seen by most to draw a desperate seeker out of bounds.
Diana's screaming, smirking boos drifted down from the sidelines; deafening and malicious, they aimed to distract. Denisse's jaw clenched as she ignored the crowd, wringing her fingers without thought. Keep yelling, she thought, humming with meanness at the helm of her own arrogance; she knew the Snitch was within arm's reach, and she would work this crowd like a fiddle.
Braking hard just a few meters from the field, her broom skimming through the lawn in a gush of green, she turned to look over her shoulder, gloatingly watching Andrea rocket by her into the mud.
Except... Andrea hadn't taken the bait at all.
Andrea had been staying way up, observing, safe from the dust devil thanks to her own quiet wit. Denisse pulled her broom back up high, feeling a little more annoyed. Oh well, she thought, brushing her wind-blown hair out of her face as she gazed once again into the dazzling autumn sky. That feint was a total failure, and Andrea still wasn't coming down for the Snitch that was clearly too large to be mistaken for an acorn.
Below her, the frenzy of the pitch continued-the M&M Chaser combo banging heads with George; Lorelei bringing back saves that the gods would have been proud of; and Chatt's endless commentary punctuating the pitch like Zeus' lightning strikes. The score was a little behind, the game was alive in the air around her, and although her little experiment had been thwarted, Denisse was still caught up in the magic of it all, gripped her haft tightly, reset her footing and stared skyward once more: that Snitch would have to come to her this time.

UNOFFICIAL QUIDDITCHstarring Leo Noxley
in the Training Pitch
premiering Sept. 10th, 2026
length 218 words
With the game continuing on, Leo was hoping he could rely on his teammates to keep up the good work. They had some luck so far, maintaining a 10 point lead over the other team after the hard work of their chasers. Now him and his fellow beater just needed to get together and work to help out. He tried to call out to the other beater but sadly they seemed to not care about playing and was off in their own little world leaving Leo on his own and unable to complete the plan he had intended. Leo was not one to get mad that easily but this was close to setting him off as he didn’t understand why you would just stop in the middle of a game and not help the team out. But he tried to relax and keep going since he knew they still had a long game ahead of them and he still could help them out somehow.
He was not going to let this unofficial game for fun be a loss or send him to the hospital wing again. He wanted to still prove that he was put on the Ravenclaw quidditch team for a reason and he was going to help out this little team as much as he could.

Atlas stares at the blood welling up on his palm from the claws. He then looks around for any kind of bandage to stop the bleeding so he's ready in case he has to go on, but he can't see any. Atlas then turns half his attention to the other problem, the fact that he has claws, the other half of his attention is on the game going on. Atlas tries to bang the claws against the bench and winces at the impact. "God damn these stupid claws. What the hell am I supposed to do now? What if I have to go on? I can't go up there looking like a weirdo. Okay, relax, Atlas. How do you deal with it when this happens? You calm yourself because this usually happens when you're feeling strong emotions, so calm down." Atlas thinks to himself as he takes some deep breaths and relaxes his hands, wrists, and arms completely until they're limp on his lap, takes a couple more deep breaths, then stretches his arms. By now, the claws are slowly turning back into his fingers. "I should go to the library after this and read up on metamorphs and how to control whatever just happened, and I should get more books on Quidditch, maybe I can ask someone to help me practice." Atlas thinks as he focuses back on the game, a bit more at ease.

Rascal would cup their hands around their mouth as they decided to contribute from the bench in the best way they knew how. By being incredibly loud. Stomping their feet and shouting at the top of their lungs they began a chant for Evgenia's success. "Come on Starkova, ride that broom! Bring about the other team's doom!"Team 2
Broom: Silver Arrow (+3 to all stats)
Position: Second String Beater
Action: Sticking to the plan!
It was hardly the rousing all empowering chant one would hear at a proper Quidditch match, with a rousing crowd all around the players shouting in unison, but Rascal had quite a pair of lungs on them and every intention to use them.
Whilst encouraging the team was all well and good, Rascal couldn't help but notice their own team's beaters were mostly just...floating around. Really? The team had made one of the famous Ragg family a second-string, and this was what had won out over them?
No, they weren't having this, absolutely not. They could cheer and root for the team until the sun went down and beyond, but they would not be benched whilst certain teammates drifted off into dreamland.
Securing their padding Rascal grabs their broom from the rack and kicks off with ease, joining the match in the sky. "Gotta wake you all up a bit eh?"

Lorelei was immidiately grateful as she saw her team's Chasers get the initial grab of the Quaffle. It allowed her another few precious seconds to recover before she began her next manuver, gliding between the hoops in a figure 8. She kept her eyes focused on the Quaffle, groaning internally when her team was blocked from scoring.
Then play turned in the other direction, and this time her goal was the target of the Chasers. She held strong to her blocking strategy, flying between the hoops at a steady pace as Evgenia approached. When she tossed the ball, Lorelei swooped in front of the goal post and blocked it with a strong movement of her broom's bristles.
The ball went back to her Chasers, and Lorelei cheered as they moved back down the pitch and added ten more points to the scoreboard. Unfortunately, her celebration left her slightly distracted and Evgenia appeared seemingly out of nowhere with the Quaffle. Lorelei raced as quickly as she could to block the ball, but her efforts didn't quite pay off and the Quaffle went sailing through the hoop she was supposed to be in front of.
As play started again, Lorelei tried to get back into her mindset, not willing to let another mistake of hers harm her team. A familiar scene played out in front of her: Evgenia racing with the ball. Lorelei tried to remember how exactly she'd managed to block the first scoring attempt. She recreated her movement, resuming the figure-eight motion, and managed another block, this time using her shoulder to get in the way of the Quaffle.
Lorelei felt much better coming out of this round of the game. They were still technically losing, but she had settled into a better rhythm in this position. She felt just a bit more confident in her abilities, and in her worth to the team.

A grin lit up the girl's face as she worked with her fellow chaser, Maisie, to body blow George Calder. Marcella had locked in entirely in to the game, and when she locked in she was the most competitive in the arena. Their body blow and Persephone's booing, as predicted, got to Calder's head, and he dropped the quaffle. With mental woop, Marce locked in anticipation as Maisie headed to score. BUT she was stopped by Normal, who normally would not do that in a normal match. But nothing about this match was normal.
And now, a bit annoyed, the two - Marce and Maisie - tried body blocking, but apparently Calder had already predicted such a thing, and he passed to Eugenia, and she scored for team 2. A bit more motivated now, the two chasers of team 1 got the quaffle out of Calder's hands, and FINALLY Maisie scored! Happiness made her giddy. Maisie and her had great team spirit. That was sure. Marcella hoped to catch the girl after the match and probably strike up a conversation or two. Heaven knows how desperately she needs to make friends.
But that's the last of the scoring on their part since Eugenia scores yet again...
Marcella was eager to put the quaffle through the hoop. But how? And she narrowed her eyes.

The red ball was back in her hands! Whether George Calder lost his composure from Persephone's booing, or he was simply nervous, Maisie would never know, but she did know that the ball, the big red ball, safely in her hands, was going to score for her team. It was an open shot and she had enough confidence to score—but then she saw Normal, and he was fast, and Maisie was just caught off guard. She fumbled with the ball as she threw it towards the goalposts, but she didn't throw it hard enough. Normally enough, her un-normal toss lacked normality, making it normally easy for Normal to block, and she saw ten points for down the drain in front of her very eyes. Though she managed to make contact with the ball many times, she didn't have enough skill perhaps to score it, which was why, thankfully enough, she was on the seeker roster instead of the chasers'.
Maisie was starting to wonder if the whole match was some kind of orchestrated event as the ball once again went from Calder's hands into her own. As she felt the weight of the heavy ball in her hands, she started to doubt this: was it all just loop after loop? Doubt seeped through her, and she stole a glance at the ball, pinned tightly to her side with her arm as she flew towards the goalposts. Was she ever going to score it? It was always passing through her hands, after all. But as the goalposts came fully up in front of her, she chucked the ball through it with every ounce of her strength and all her might.
Her eyes were squeezed shut and when she opened it again, it was to Chatt's commentary. She had scored. She had done it.
Feeling a huge weight off her shoulders, with Marcella at her side, continued to circle the pitch, and they blocked George again. But she was still recovering from throwing the quaffle, what with wind resistance and all, and she wavered. The ball slid from her and Marcella, and Calder passed through.
