Hello, hello, hi!
I've had this idea for a while now, but never sat down to actually write it down or develop it further beyond a series of vague, disconnected plot points. So, that's what I'll try to do here! However – this idea is not for an original story, but rather a fanfiction.
Now, here's the thing – I already used up all my courage on writing this much. I need a few more calming breaths and bussiness days to gather enough self-esteem to proudly share on what exactly this fanfiction is on. Right now I am way too shy and sadly, embarrassed. Just please know that even though I will be using different names, these characters do not belong to me.
Hopefully I will come back to edit this in a few days – in the meantime, feel free to send me your guesses! I am not as afraid of one-on-one conversation on this topic as I am of an open-aired confession of my latest obsession.

WEEK 1 – THE SPARK
The Elevator Pitch: Describe your story in 50 words or fewer. Then try again in one sentence.
After following what she thinks is a convoluted trail of bread crumbs left by her late friend-turned-enemy, Bee, Al gets tangled up in old secrets, underground organizations and way too much paperwork.
Al goes through hell and back to find a presumably dead person she supposedly hates.
Three Things I Know: Provide three things you absolutely know about your story and three things you haven't figured out yet.
What I know...What I don't know...
- I have a rough idea of how the story starts. Al stumbles upon an eerily familiar symbol, a signature her late best-friend-turned-enemy created and used while they were still in high school. After the inital shock, unexpected bitter grief and denial, she begins to see it everywhere she goes. It soon consumes her waking days and dreaming mind. She becomes covinced that Bee is alive and attempting to communicate with her. This leads her to discovering a secret organization which she later gets noticed and followed by (she was snooping a bit too close for their liking). In a desperate attempt of getting her answers, Al decides to join them, now continuing her search in underground labs and hidden bunkers while also managing her new responsibilities of a [organization name] recruit.
- Bee isn't trying to reach out to Al – on the contrary. She uses her close encounter with death as an opportunity to cut ties with her former life and self completely, starting anew at the aforementioned organization. She didn't think anyone would recognize her old signature, reusing it as the organization's logo. She was mostly right; noone but Al remembers the details of this symbol. Sure, their mutual friends remember there being a logo, but they don't remember it in detail and don't recognize it when Al shows it to them, something she can'p prove as all evidence of it ever existing – mostly Bee's belongings – were either destroyed or can't be accessed by Al.
- I want the story to have a happy ending – however that might look like
- What the story is about and how it ends. After Al joins the organization, I blank. Which is not good, considering that part is the part where the actual plot was supposed to happen.
- The organizations and Bee's role in it. I have a few rough ideas on what I'd like the organization to be, but most of them don't fit together and / or are too abstract. I don't even know how big it's supposed to be. Similarly, I know that Bee will be a high ranking member of it, but I have yet to decide on any specifics. I do know that I want to explore the idea of her not being the organization's head, since she usually is the one in charge, but that's about it.
- Side characters. I have names and vague points in place of personality – who are they, what is their purpose in the story.
The Promise: Complete the following phrase: "I want this story to make the reader feel ______." Then explain why.
I want this story to make the reader feel intrigue.
This story (if it ever reaches the beauty of Ao3 pages) is meant for people already familiar it, or at least some other version of it. They would know Al, Bee and all of the other named characters. They would also come in with their own headcanons, expecatations and reasonable predictions of where the story might go (i.e., knowing certain often used story points). I'd like to write something at least mildly original, and if not that, entertaining.
CHALLENGE – Steal This Prompt: Pick one of these 10 elements and incorporate it somehow into your concept.
